“What if Dream asked for Tommy for L’Manburg’s independence instead?”

You got me, Anon. I grew up on the soap operas about medieval times and forced marriages for the sake of political benefit.

While I would usually go for the "forced marriage, really sad, Tommy isn't happy at all, Dream does evil things to him" path to this AU, I want to try something different this time, so I propose to you...

Wilbur has tried to speak Tommy out of it and promised to find a different way to get their independence. Tommy ended up having to run away to fulfil his promise to Dream and assure the country's independence.

He expected the worst from Dream. He knew he was signing up to be locked up in a house somewhere, forced to cook for Dream or take care of the kids or whatever it is the gatherer husband does for the hunter.

But once the papers were signed, Dream just kinda... walked away.

"Aren't you gonna force me to follow you, or like... what about the whole "kiss the groom" part?" Tommy inquires.

Dream just shrugs at him.

Tommy goes back to L'Manberg. Things ensue... strangely normally. No war follows. Dream visits the town a few times, but never sparing Tommy any more attention than to the rest of the residents living there.

(Insert comedic scene of Dream buying some fruits on their bazaar or whatever and Wilbur is yelling "You won't lay a hand on Tommy if I can help it!" in the distance. Dream doesn't notice.)

Like, damn, at this point Tommy is frustrated that nothing is happening! Why is Dream completely ignoring him? Isn't he supposed to be a war trophy to him, or something? What's his plan?

Eventually, Tommy decides to... [hands you the microphone]

Black Out AU

Tim meets Danny when he leaves the Wayne family after seeing that they didn’t see him as family, only a stand in. He gets stuck in Amity Park with its lock down and information black out. Whether Tim ended up in the city by accident or he went looking for it when he noticed that a city just suddenly stopped existing a few years prior is up to debate. Either way Tim does what he did years ago, bully the resident vigilante into letting him help. This time though he promises not to make the same mistake of trying to be anything more than teammates, not wanting to set himself up to more disappointment. Unfortunately for him Danny is very intrigued by this fellow vigilante, and thinks he would be a good Living friend. Ancients knows he needs more of those after the fallout with Sam and Tucker.

arthur born of magic who lives where magic is outlawed and merlin who is magic and is forced to keep it bottled up recognizing each other without seeing the other. arthur who always feels a vague sense of numbness except when he’s around merlin bc the magic that is threaded through his very being wakes and buzzes in emrys’s presence, recognizing its kin. merlin who is constantly restless beneath his skin, his magic buzzing to be set free, finally feeling at peace with arthur, his magic warming and stilling beneath his skin. arthur feeling deprived of air or food or water when merlin leaves bc the life that flared inside him fades when merlin leaves. merlin feeling restless when he’s not with arthur bc his magic which has previously been content to reside within him is now lashing out, desperate for either constant release or arthur’s presence. arthur taking his aggravation out of his knights during training when suddenly he feels alive again and his frustration wanes and then merlin calls out across the field. merlin putting the restless energy toward scrubbing the floors until the itching beneath his skin suddenly fades and then the door to the chambers burst open and arthur waltzes in.

Oh my gosh it's finally done!! I've been obsessing over this video for a few days now and ahhh I'm so excited that it's finished and I can share it with people!!

Okay but like

In the lost pages of Journal 3 Ford mentions Bill disappearing for weeks or months at a time, which is kinda interesting to me

There are two ways we could interpret this.

1, is that these gaps in conversation were deliberate manipulation tactics planned by Bill. To leave long enough for Ford to feel worried and want him back. This does backfire a little when Ford has that jealousy outburst and accuses Bill of having other people to inspire. (Which is like. Ford are you hearing yourself-)

But ultimately the absences Bill leaves does more harm than good for Bill’s plans. I think if he was around MORE then Ford would’ve definitely become WAYYY more attached to him

Which is why there’s a second interpretation I have that I really like

2, the idea that Bill just. Lost track of time a lot between being Ford’s muse and doing other shit in the nightmare dimension. For one thing, Bill is canonically millions of years old in the context of Earth. He’s lived through so much time that it would be understandable if he didn’t quite grasp how much time he spent away from Ford. In the grand scheme of things Ford was only a blip in time compared to everything Bill lived through, what’s a few weeks amongst eternity?

Not to mention the Book of Bill confirms that Bill canonically dissociates, and it’s very common to lose chunks of time with dissociation. What if he dipped out of his consciousness in the times where he wasn’t with Ford? We don’t have any idea what Bill was doing between Ford visits. It’s so interesting to speculate

What if Bill still thought Ford was okay with him because he didn’t realize how long he was gone?
