Are the members of Shuro's party ever shown carrying bags / luggage? Im working on an Inutade cosplay, and I'd like to carry an appropriately themed bag with me. Do you have any creative suggestions as to what I could carry? :)

I did some research cause I've seen it before but didn't know the name and what they're using is a cloth called furoshiki (風呂敷) that they can use to wrap and carry things. You might be familiar with them in anime where burglars always have them tied under their noses for some reason (and also using it to carry their loot)

It can be used to wrap boxes (it's a more sustainable way to wrap gifts too) or tied into bags like the ninjas, I imagine you'd need a pretty big cloth and idk how easy it is to find that iconic pattern (edit: karakusa), but here's a tutorial I found of how to wrap it into a bag if you're interested.

For Tade's actual backpack I'm not sure what's the thing she's using to carry the boxes... the closest I got while researching is a shoiko? But it doesn't look like what Tade is using. Either way I imagine it wouldn't be very convenient for a cosplay?

If it would be easier I think a backpack similar to the other characters wear would probably work fine too.

Actually quickly going thru my Shuro's Party tag I realized the cards have them use the default backpack, and Tade uses a big wrapped box

I have new cosplay progress to report for the first time in over a year!

I've had Nana Daiba on my list to start working on for ages, specifically her stage/combat outfit. I thought it would be a great base to repeat the process I did with Juri, and add a lot of texture and detail through fabric choice, embroidery, and applique.

Last year, I tried to start with the bodice and jacket, and immediately threw it in the "not today" bin. This time, I started with the element that didnt need to be worn - the shoulder "jacket" that just functions as a capelet.

Most cosplays I've seen used an actual wearable jacket pattern for this piece. But why? Never in the entire series do any characters put their arms through it. A jacket ends up being oddly shaped, too wide, and hides the rest of the outfit. So I changed the design to be a classic half-circle capelet, to which I'll add nonfunctional sleeves. I can even add a solid lining that can hide the sleeve placement from the inside of the cape.

And the final piece that got me rolling: I found the right materials at a secondhand craft store! Instead of cheap-looking crushed velvet and fake fur like I had been planning, I dug these upholstery materials out of the bins.

So here’s a “I’m building a cosplay” question: John is sometimes shown with an eyepatch when he was younger, would he ever have customised it with a hurricane logo or something?

omg he totally would. I havent drawn the eyepatch nearly as much as i intend too, i love the idea he embraces the cartoon pirate look (inspired by a mermay au design i did where he was a pirate.) I usually draw it blank or with skull and crossbones but he would absolutely customize it with the Hurricane Symbol, (ive been meaning to make it a patch on his jacket for ages.) If you look up 'hurricane symbol' that basic shape with a little flair is something he would do. i would draw it but i have to go to job, but maybe tonight when i get off. ANYWAY, trying to keep cool and not bounce myself right out of my chair, im really excited if you decide to cosplay him! Mostly, have fun with it, i think, and do whatever you want or however you feel would be neat for the character. Thats what John would do.

The Royal Vanity — PattyCake Productions makeup tutorials

With so many characters to style for their various Disney-inspired series, PattyCake and their collaborators developed some standard looks for the sake of continuity. These videos are hosted by the studio's frequent makeup artist and swing performer, Brianna Fogden. Over the years, she has transformed herself and the other actors for many varied roles.

They only released these three episodes, but the YouTube descriptions for the first two indicate that the original plan was to demonstrate at least four more options covering Cinderella and three different villains.

did you know that acht gives eight a mobility chip in the trailer but a power chip in the actual game? bc i didn't notice until after i'd already finished making the mobility one. so i've got a spare chip i guess

the dogtags were kind of a spur-of-the-moment creative liberty. i had the jelleton one sitting around from some experiments with composite filaments, and while i was brainstorming a way to incorporate acht's cool fish hook into the cosplay without needing to actually get my ears pierced it all sorta clicked together. i made the ident tag shortly afterwards and swiftly forgot what the text says :P

Ensemble, Manon/マノン Revolution Costume (佐伯理沙/Saeki Risa) 1789 Les Amants de la Bastille Jp Toho 2016 (3/15)

First row shows Saeki as Manon in 2016. The other photos are from 2018 with Hirai Kotomi wearing the same costume; however, she does not play Manon.

Costume Notes: Unlike Lucille, Manon is part of the female ensemble dancers, so her costume is whatever the chosen actor is wearing during the scene. This means that there is no specific costume for Manon. From 2016 to 2018 the dancer assigned as Manon differ, so the dress also differs. This yellow skirt costume is the ensemble costume that was worn for Manon in 2016. The only noticeable change in the costume from 2016-18 is the belt is switched out and the bodice doesn't fit as well on Hirai as it did on Saeki but that is to be expected with costumes that are handed down.

The M-1965 Field Jacket (also known as M65, M-65 Field Jacket, and Coat, Cold Weather, Man's Field), named after the year it was introduced,[1] is a popular field jacket initially designed for the United States Armed Forces under the MIL-C-43455 standard. It was introduced into U.S. military service in 1965 to replace the previous M-1951 field jacket, itself an improvement on the M-1943 field jacket introduced during World War II, although the M-51 continued to be issued for quite some time. The front portion of the jacket has two large hip pockets and two medium-sized breast pockets. The collar of the jacket features a zipper which houses a protective hood.
