How attractive do you think Randall is by the monster world standards?

Obviously in Monster's University he's MEANT to be seen as this wimpy, scrawny geek and a loser 🤓

But what about during the Monster's Inc era?

Out of the 3 Main Monsters (Mike, Sulley, and Randall) we see that Mike is the only one who isn't "Bitchless" or "Maidenless" (as the Twitter crowd would say 🙄)

Which I find hilariously ironic considering Mike is the only of those 3 who wasn't a scarer nor does he really fit into any of the Beauty standards 🤔

(Now from a real life perspective I can understand why Randall and Sulley are single due to Randall's status as the villain and giving Sulley a love interest would've distracted too much attention away from his relationship with Boo)

But it is kinda funny from an In-Universe perspective because you'd think Randall and ESPECIALLY Sulley would both have an army of Women (and Men 🌈) trying to vouch for their attention due to their status as the 2 biggest Top Scarers

okay for real though i think randall would actually be considered handsome (i swear im not biased) randall definitely possesses scary traits, from sharp teeth, big independently moving eyes, multiple limbs, etc., and has a general scary appearance, so i think it’s fair to say he’s considered quite attractive. also the fact he was in ror; the top frat in MU, presumably the most elite university in monstropolis, and is a scarer, the best career you could ever have (and with him and sulley being the two candidates to get the all time scare record, one of the best in the whole monster world??) probably helps too

another thing i want to mention that i’ve thought about is there are many round cyclops monsters like mike and big horned furry monsters like sulley, but there isn’t really any monster in the monster world (or in other media) that quite looks like randall.

joy has reptilian features but she looks very different from randall (though i’d like to point out that she was the number 1 scarer at fear co., which could be more evidence that randall is very scary and therefore more attractive) mr. crummyham bears some resemblance to randall, but he has smoother skin, a skinnier body, and a very different face

other than the fact that the vas in mi bear resemblance to their characters to me, randall has such a fine distinct design, so something i thought about is randall’s attractiveness could be compared to his va steve buscemi in our world. there are many people who consider buscemi as handsome, and i've also seen some people describe his look to be “unique”. with randall having a design so distinct from the other monsters and possessing scary/attractive traits, i feel like randall’s attractiveness in the monster world could also be described the same way

i definitely agree with the idea that they didn’t include any romantic stuff for sulley and randall because it would be unnecessary and distracting, but that aside,,

i’m sure there are many monsters who were attracted to sulley. sulley's been the number 1 scarer at monsters inc for a very long time, is the son of a famous scarer, and is shown to be very popular both in and at work. for one, these two in mu seemed attracted to him

in mi, on his way to work, basically everyone knows him and greets him, both on the street and at work. so in that way, there are actually a lot of monsters that vie for sulley's attention (including the fcking CDA 😭)

maybe some monsters are nervous around sulley and think he's out of their league. even though he is friendly, he does have a very high status so he may be intimidating to talk to; like look at how nervous needleman is here when talking to him hehe

on randall’s end, though he’s probably not nearly as social, he probably gets a fair share of recognition (though is probably very overshadowed by sulley) but there are likely some monsters that don’t like his personality and because of that aren't interested, or are scared/intimidated to actually talk to him. but they can admire him from an appearance and achievement perspective, though perhaps from a distance

but as you said, i definitely think that personality plays a big role into which monsters are considered attractive

first, mike is full of personality, being charming, funny and witty. he's shown to be a smooth talker, whether flirting with celia or distracting waternoose and randall with convincing lies. mike may not fit into the "scary" beauty standard, but i think some monsters don't really care. and i know that celia genuinely thinks mike is handsome :] mike was also very likely the smartest scaring student on mu’s campus. but judging by mike's locker in the credits for mu, celia may have started crushing on mike around the time when he was just a cafeteria worker and i like to think she fell for mike early on for both his looks and personality 🩷

sulley on the other hand is shown to be a bit clumsy and not as smooth with his words, so he probably has no rizz 😔✊️/jk (it's v cute though)

randall's personality is pretty self explanatory LOL, though interestingly, even though randall is a prick, his coworkers were genuinely happy for him when he became the scare leader and when they thought he broke the scare record. so i feel like he’s only directly mean to sulley, mike and fungus, while he just tolerates everyone else (unless they cross his path) like his coworkers are probably aware of his bitter attitude but may undermine it since he's not directly mean to them and randall probably has respect for being #2 in the whole comany, because i don't think all those monsters would be happy for him if he treated all of them how he treats the three i mentioned. and i mean he showed a liking towards johnny so we know he's capable of not feeling utter hate for everyone. though he may not always be directly mean to his other coworkers, i’m sure his attitude is still noticed and deemed undesirable for lots of monsters. i feel like randall would be viewed as skilled and attractive but a dick lol

but in the end i think a big reason why i think sulley and randall aren't in a relationship is because they’re so career focused.

sulley probably wasn't interested or focused on getting into a relationship since he was focused on his career and reaching the scare record. before he met boo, he didn't have much else going on for him outside of scaring. he does work out as a hobby but even that was scaring related; mike even calls him out for this

it was likely the same with randall, and between the scare record and the scream extractor, he probably has no time or desire to get into a relationship. and his commitment to his job and one-upping sulley could impair his attention in a relationship (you better believe this is something i incorporated into lia and randall's relationship but lets not get into that right now haha ☉‿☉) there may have been monsters who were brave enough to confess to him but he's likely rejected him because his priority is the grind 😤💯💰

in maw sulley may have lost some of his reputation by bringing laugh energy to mi, plus jill broadcasting to all of monstropolis that sulley cheated in the scare games, got expelled, and was associated with the convicted criminal who is waternoose, probably didn't help his popularity. though after the end of maw season 2 i know more monsters will warm up to him, not to mention there are probably many who admire him already

Pulling him into one last kiss, you prepared yourself to leave and finally get yourself back to work. Giving a soft giggle towards your fishy boyfriend.

Eventually you had to make your way up to Velvette's floor, she must be exploding with impatience by now.

"Ma'am, anything you need me to do?" You spoke, approaching Velvette who looked, rather overwhelmed, you had no clue why she didn't just call you, but the fashionista was quite the stubborn one.

"Ugh. Y/N there you are, I need you to follow up on Melissa, I haven't seen her for a few days and if she doesn't show up in an hour I will kill her myself. Oh! Fuck's sake I forgot Valentino tore apart my best model, go see if she's strung herself back together I can't waste any more time. She knows how to work a runway and-" She paused, squinting towards you.

Reviewing the ENTIRE Cars Franchise: Planes 2: Fire and Rescue

Well that was better then i remembered.

There are barely any movies that have a sequel that is actually ten times better, but Planes 2: Fire and Rescue is one of those movies.

(warning: spoilers. Following text is just my opinion.)

It revolves around Dusty, our main racer, discovering his gearbox is kaput, so he can only fly at a certain speed otherwise he crashes, so racing is not possible anymore. In attempt to help Mayday out, he decides to train with a team of firefighter Heli's, and he quickly gets a chance to prove himself when a massive forest fire bursts out, threatening many lives.

Dusty (Planes: Fire and Rescue)

I liked that this movie took a complete different direction. As we know Planes 1 isnt the most original movie, so i liked the direction this movie took, how it decided to show another job and its dangers. I like it when sequels do this, when they stand out, make another story. Thats nice.

Me & Planes... How well do we go?

The first time i ever watched Planes i felt SUPER neutral about it. I didnt quite know how to rate it. Both movies were not that memorable, but i have to point out, after watching F&R 5 years ago, i forgot like 99% of the movie, except for one particular scene.

"My gearbox is busted!"

For some reason, this scene, its acting especially, stuck with me. And after installing Tumblr, diving deep in the Cars fandom and hearing on this movie again, this particular scene was the first thing i remembered. About the acting, it was the Dutch version, my first time watching Planes was on Disney+, and Dusty's Dutch voice in particular i never really forgot. This scene was my only clear memory of this movie. Gotta say, the og English version does NOT disappoint. Dane Cook is AMAZING as Dusty. And to clear up, i couldnt find the dutch dub anywhere and i aint buying a movie on YT for €15.99.

Talking about Blade...

Dusty and Blade. (Planes: Fire and Rescue)

Honestly: Blade is pretty badass. I liked the scenes with him. He's good at his job, he's loyal, he's intelligent... Blade is a good dude. Turns out he was an actor and one of his co - actors died on set during a stunt scene. Thats kinda deep.

I like this backstory on him but its still feels like this movie tries to be Cars at certain points. That doesnt change the fact that its MASSIVE improvement from the first movie, wich just copied Cars blatantly. This movie doesnt blatantly copy, it takes aspects and makes it into something else. Again, its its own thing. I liked that.

My biggest problem with this movie is this running gag where Dipper has a crush on Dusty, who is clearly not comfortable with this, and i just didnt really like it. However there was this one scene, and despite that i know how creepy it is, it was still pretty funny.

I don't get this. Is it supposed to be funny? Because in my opinion Dipper continuously invading Dusty's personal space and straight up obsessing over him is kind of weird. Dusty is not comfortable, he doesnt like this attention, where did my niece get that from 😭😭

I hope i'm not taking this kids movie too seriously. Either way, lesson of the day: men in fact have feelings too ✌️good job at the writing, Disney.

The animation is wonderful 💕

AND THE VOICE ACTING. I would love to become a voice actor one day, js. In Planes, the actors do an AMAZING job. All the emotions are depicted so well, especially Dusty's and Blade's. I love it when you can hear actors are enjoying their job, here you can hear it too.

Overall thoughts?

Planes: Fire & Rescue, while to me not the most memorable movie, is still better then the first movie for sure. It has stunning animation, the actors do an incredible job and the movie really explores the direction its taking. I think its definitely a massive improvement. 8/10, would watch it again. Alright, thats it.

I have so many questions, observations, speculations, and theories. I will likely bother you with several of them over the coming days, but for now, I will try to limit myself to observations and theories concerning Lorcan.

I have only recently found this if, so forgive me if I cover things that have been broadly discussed.

I believe that Orla's locket originally belonged to Lorcan's mother. I wonder if when he says he has nothing of hers, he is referring to his mother as opposed to Orla. Lesson here being... Don't give away precious irreplaceable things to high-school sweethearts. This is a teaching moment for younger readers.

Moving on.

Arthur spoke of seeing Lorcan around town with Candace, despite Lorcan's claim of not knowing her. He made quite a show of not remembering her name. Candace's mother also mentions Lorcan in relation to her daughter. Why would Lorcan lie? Perhaps he was selling drugs to her? But no. That wouldn't be something he would feel the need to hide from Crownie and Co. I suspect shame is a motivation here. When grieving or depressed it is common to search for anything to make you feel any other way. Drugs is a common outlet. As is fighting... and sex. I read in another ask that Lorkin has had sex only once. I think that it was with Candace, not Orla. He would definitely hide this not only because of shame but because he would never want anyone to trivialize his feelings for Orla or imply that she was less important to him than she actually was. I do wonder why Crownie and Imre haven't rubbed the indescrepancy in his face? Can't wait to find out (I can. But I don’t want to).

As for Crownie and Lorcan... Crownie. Really. Never have thought of Lorcan sexually or romantically prior to the hospital? Truly? "Never forgot that water droplet over the years." "Added one thick one sliding down his pectorals." Very sus, Crownie. Very sus indeed.

Looking forward to finding out just why Lorcan hates Crownie so much.

I have this headcanon that Pantalone can be quite a drama queen when he wants to. Like he's all professional, polite and reserved when he's working, but the moment he's alone Pantalone just flops on a couch or something like that in his office, loudly groans and throws a pillow, maybe even over his face.

Oh, and when his beloved is in the same room as him when he's in a drama queen mood, then he just proceeds to just collapse on them and complain to them instead. Oh, and of course demanding affection, but in a cute way. As cute as Pantalone can be.

NO FR!!! I COMPLETELY AGREE 😭 He's a drama queen, but only with you and himself. He presents himself as a very composed, nothing bothers him man but oh, do some people get on his absolute nerves. How he has to force that smile to be on his face even harder with certain people... rumor says if you hear a groan from Pantalone's office don't disturb him otherwise he'll be a lot snappier than usual... And even though being a Harbinger means bottling all your emotions up and not showing anyone, even he can't help but act all whiny and pouty sometimes... especially with you. It's like, so funny to see him be so dramatic with you, but also really sweet because he's letting down his walls around you. He definitely collapses on you, puts his hand over his forehead and all, and he will tell you everything, from the most minor and small annoyances to the biggest headaches. You get to know some of his co-workers very well despite not ever meeting them, thanks to his ranting... Please stroke his hair and nod in agreement with everything he says, and also be prepared to stay in that position for a while. He's very clingy when he's being a drama queen, and he also really wants your attention and to just be listened to thoroughly. Finally, he can have some positive affection after a day of stress. I think he would also totally indulge you if you were a drama queen yourself lol, he would love to listen to you and also find amusement in your actions.

FINALLY. Now, I don't have any issues with Kiryu's thing where wants to live in peace and leave the whole Yakuza life (mostly) behind. BUT.

Since Kiwami 2 I've kind of felt like he's been... indecisive? Nah. I feel like he hasn't been able to stick to that decision. Probably because he has important people in the clan and he feels a sense of responsibility for the clan, idk.

It's almost felt like he's been in.. denial(??) about how much he wants the Tojo clan to remain standing. He's constantly been in a weird sort of limbo where he is neither Yakuza NOR a civilian. And my issue isn't even there, it's with how he's been coming through like a whirlwind, deconstructing the foundations of the Yakuza circles and then just... leaving Daigo and, in a way, Majima to do the complicated clean up and rebuilding. Now, Daigo and co. ARE grown adults and they could ask for help, but... It's always felt weird to me. I know Haruka and the other kids are his uncontested #1 priority and I fully support that, but I also don't think Kiryu realizes just how much shit Daigo especially has been saddled with. Now, I don't know how much Kiryu COULD have done, but... I don't know. It's always felt off to me.

I don't think Kiryu should make a full return to the Yakuza life or anything like that, but I hope he's starting to acknowledge his own feelings and role in all this. Maybe he could be like an advisor or consultant Daigo could call upon when shit is starting to hit the proverbial fan?

At times it's felt like Kiryu has been actively self-sabotaging his own wish to be away from this life. He says he wants to remain at a distance, but he also takes up the mantle of crisis handler quite quickly when he hears there's a storm brewing in Kamurocho. Again, it's probably got to do with his resolve to save people and avoid unnecessary bloodshed, and he HAS resolved the crises effectively AND in a way that's saved many lives, don't get me wrong, but... he has actively made life more difficult for himself this whole time by keeping up this weird inner struggle.

Now, I do acknowledge that trouble does come to find him as well. Ryuji probably would have hauled Kiryu's ass to a duel no matter what he did, and in Y3 Kiryu's sworn brother DID get shot so it was understandable he'd wanna know the truth behind the case. But I feel he has also taken bigger, more active roles than he would have had to.

I do hope Kiryu sticks to this decision and stops running from all this. Stops denying the role he keeps assigning to himself. It's tragic that he keeps being dragged into things because of his decision to join the Yakuza when he was still quite young, but it's time to deal with the hand he's been dealt because of that decision.

Gahhhh, I ADORE how complex Kiryu is. I might sound whiny or like I dislike this guy, but that's not it at all! Kiryu is still solidly in my TOP 3 and I love him.

That's a lot of work, re: making a whole summary of relevant things, but I 100% get the insanity and overanalyzing, that's my jam. Lucky for you, I'm not totally clueless as the small percentage of people who have deep dived into Pokemon lore. I'm taking about memorized NPC dialogue, flavor text for items, creator interviews, design inspiration and mythology, every bit of side/beta/unreleased/scrapped content, theories and inter-game connections. Yes, I know Amber2 and the Champion's League with their Elite 4 Cup mentioned in the DP anime. I'm just sad about it because what do you MEAN after my old draft outlined the chapters I have to DELAY the Elite 4 challenge until ANOTHER LEAGUE? I named those chapters so specifically as a nice, smooth transition and callback 😭 Granted I guess...it also kind of works. If you have ideas on what it is, how it works, or when it takes place? I might be able to implement it. I don't know if its another League with strong trainers or specifically battling the E4. 1) Ash-Guzma talk, gotcha! I think there's something to be said about how Guzma isn't another meglomaniac Ash had to face, and how the feelings of loss can be understood by Ash...I was just reading your write up on the parallels with Alain and how Ash's Unova self was a set up for his Kalos self. In my rewrite, although the story isn't focused on Ash and friends, I figured I try to give everyone their due anyways, and my biggest grip so far is keeping the anime for what it is and treating it's choices seriously VS altering them. Pokerus/Mewtwo's Beserk Gene/the forced evolution experiments/mega evolution? trying to get it all reconciled. They'll meet Karen in a similar underground tournament as in the movie I think... 4) Gary-Ash rivalry...they're no Reguri, but might as well give em something. Silph Co takeover, during Mt. Moon some Rocket defects with the fossil Pokemon (after they're revived at the Cinnabar's lab, which like in the game, the technology suspiciously works.) That's how Devon gets their own fossil revival tech we see. Stolen research. Aerodactyl was too wild, so uh, while attempting to use it at Silph (which went so bad the grunt was like "aight imma quit in the chaos.") Gary ends up catching it, and this starts his interest in fossil Pokemon research we see in the anime. 5) I have a gameverse AU too, so trying to find a 2nd origin story for the executives and Team Rocket is the dreaded </3 ignoring the chronicles japanese opening cameo, Silver does not exist. tragic, I love him, but what on earth am I gonna do, I can't repeat the AU storybeats. As funny as the TRio and Silver interactions might be. I guess this is always subject to change, but soooo much emotional investment in characters already exists that I had to keep anime!Bill instead of the other...very sad.

Ohh, I understand the struggle. While the anime has some fun ideas and themes at times, there's some stuff that just begs to be changed.. I think it would depend on what kind of story you want to tell.

For my AU personally I'm taking what the anime did and kinda fixing the things I disliked while taking advantage of an older Ash and certain themes I want to explore. For instance, I'm having Ash use Primeape while he is traveling alone and focusing more on his pokemon, and that gets him to realize he never tried knowing that monkey at all. Ash traveling alone is something I always wanted but is not something that works in-anime and in a fanfic like that I can explore underated pokemon much easier than just idk, shoving Primeape into the JNs team.

But if you plan on rewriting everything post DP league (if I'm assuming correctly) and perhaps get Ash to age as the story goes, it does makes sense to change some big things as league resuts. Like, there's the joke "he would not say that" when people make characters OOC but is always good to remember "what would cause him to say that?". As in: if things change enough, if you write a story that deviates a lot from canon, then even certain outcomes and character reactions can change.

Like, an Ash that wins in Sinnoh probably won't be as affected by the Unova loss as canon Ash. And that Ash would be much more relaxed at Kalos, etc, etc. I guess it all depends on how you write (and what you want to write more than anything. I can't reiterate this enough, but have fun with those stuff!!)

Ohh, I have been talking to a friend about Unova and Kalos a lot, and one of the recent things was this idea of taking advantage of the fact Unova has more than 8 gyms in-game. Like, if you do want Ash doing gyms there still, I think having Iris do the other gyms that are introduced in BW2 would be an awesome way to start her gym challenges on-screen. We even talked about the concept of Iris and Ash and Cilan all meeting in Striaton gym! With both Iris and Ash going there to challenge him and since that gym has 3 leaders, Iris could get to battle one of the brothers while Ash battled Cilan.

Yes, the Plasma team and N and their connections are very different in the anime. Honestly if I could recomend you to research about anything out of the anime for reference, it would be Plasma Team. The way they're portrayed in the games is very interesting in how they pretend to care for pokemon, telling people that pokemon are better off alone and that holding them in balls/battling with them is abuse! And that's one thing I get very very sad the anime didnt take advantage of.

Ash is a character that would be so easily dissuaded by that kind of talk if done right and would be interesting seeing him questioning himself about that sort of thing SPECIALLY AFTER PAUL!!

And going back to Iris. Have her be more confident in her relation to pokemon because she was raised in a village of dragons, where human and pokemon live as one and let her take the role of main character and prove that Team Plasma are not as good as they pretend to be. Show how her connection with pokemon is that of a champion or something yknow?

Yeah, I get it. Specially for timeskip stories, is hard to know how to balance Anime and Game characters. I.. don't have a tip for that tbh. If there's no anime equivalent, I tend to go with characters I got attached in-game or that are generally popular in fandom. I mean, if I can get attached to a random NPC from 2 dialogues in the game, then it means they're special right? But usually elite fours that haven't appeared on the anime (nor the manga) are not that memorable at all so Idk what to say about Karen and Will.. But I guess introducing them like that could be interesting. Karen has that kinda "strong pokemon, weak pokemon. it doesnt matter which you choose as long you trust them" quote that would make her interesting if portrayed as someone that is very against pokemon abuse. And if you make Will into a spy (since he has that magician vibe and i guess could be used as an excuse for him to work in TR's game corner undercover or something), it could be fun for them to team up to stop evil orgs like that on their own :V

BRING BACK THAT POKEBALL FROM JOHTO LEAGUE FOR ASH-GARY! I dont know what to do with it, maybe they could take it to someone to fix it and discover it belonged to someone and they both go search for it or whatever. But it was an interesting thing to AshGary that the anime just pulled out of nothing to explain their rivalry and never did anything else with.

Adding to what you already have, I could see Gary maybe taking a "Red role" and going after Team Rocket after getting his ass handed by Giovanni's Mewtwo. Like, I don't think he knew that was "Team Rocket's Giovanni", but adding to your idea and him discovering from one of the grunts that that gym leader was the boss of this evil organization could make him interested in knowing and stopping that guy since he saw how powerful the pokemon he used could be. And then if you plan to have Ash there for the TR endgame, they could meet and team up against Team Rocket and from that learn to respect eachother as equals more!

Oh, that's a whole nother beast I never dared to deal with. I have a special love for pokeani so I'm only focusing on that, so I can't begin to imagine how complicated it must be to balance two universes based off the same thing.. I have no tips on that lol sorry but maybe… seeing how things are handled in different games? I mean red/green, firered/leafgreen and letsgo are all from different universes, so maybe seeing how gamefreak themselves twist things may help with inspiration?

📍Yes, it was painful. Hong Hae-in was absolutely livid, and she has every right to feel upset about this whole divorce fiasco, but I hate that they aren't okay 😭😭. Anyhoo, like one user said, as much as it pains me to see them like this, it's absolutely necessary. They had to distance themselves from one another to make them realize how much they mean to each other.

📍When Hyun-woo had to hurt Hae-in more than he already did to bring out her fierce side so she'd have a reason to fight and live. He was willing to take all of her wrath just so she'd keep going, babes my heart can't!!!

📍I feel like it's only a matter of time until Da-hye finally realizes that even if Soo-cheol is immature af, she'll see his sincerity towards her and their son and eventually come clean about Eun-seong and co's revenge plot.

📍I'm actually quite relieved that Hyun-woo had foreseen some bumps along the way during his investigation with the wild boar incident, and this whole embezzlement...or whatever that shit is. He's lucky grandpa Hong didn't kick his ass out of the house (well to be fair, Hae-in warned her own family not to meddle).

📍Hae-in's father was more concerned about Hyun-woo divorcing Hae-in than their family business crumbling down, it just shows that he really cares about his daughter. I believe that he sees Hyun-woo for who he truly is and he might even be seeing him as his own son, I hope he'll be one of those people who would help these two to find their way back into each other.

📍Eun-seong is kind of an idiot for thinking that Hae-in will divorce Hyun-woo in a heart beat. Like, do you see that she's STILL wearing her wedding ring despite her marriage going through a rough patch? Bitch my queen maybe hurting but she isn't the type of person who would throw herself at someone else.

📍Ha! So one of the fans' theory is correct. Eun-seong and Ms. Mo are mother and son, but I still want to know why they hate the Hong family so much, I mean a part of their back story was already revealed but I'm interested to know how did the family got involved?

📍Hyun-woo realising that Hae-in was losing her memories, that he was slowly losing her will never not be painful to watch. It's kinda scary because at one point she's hallucinating, and the other is not remembering things. He knew that her health was declining and there's not much he can do 💔💔

📍I don't know how long will this show plan to drive us crazy, but at least they ended the episode on a lighter note thanks to the epilogue. It's funny that Hyun-woo actually believed that there was a racoon hiding in the garden. Hae-in smiling at the thought that he thought the racoon was real, she still finds him adorable, and again, the fact that Hae-in keeps rejecting Eun-seong and the fact that they are still wearing their wedding rings even if they are on the verge of divorcing is proof that deep down they still want to stay married. They just really need some time, but bitch we're almost halfway through the series so I hope the succeeding episodes will be about mending their relationship and figure out the snakes that lurks in their house, and also find some miraculous treatment so Hae-in will get better 😭😭

Wednesday attended Nevermore but had no roommate. She may have saved the school or played a part in doing so but due to butterflies the situation was much less terrible than canon. Graduating, she has a sort of friendship with Bianca, IE the only ne she will call and ask advice from regarding stuff like "Why is this person I talked down to and treated like a specimen mad I had them stalked?" and is trying to become a novelist but its not working out. Thus to get more authentic portrayals she gets a crummy apartment (Made less crummy visa her money) in a rundown area to observe crime in its element, even visiting clubs.

There she encounters a, not quite bouncer, not quite enforcer, not quite assassin, not quite bodyguard, kind of all rounder, Enid SInclair. Maybe just Sin, who after chasing off a werewolf before Wednesday need to stab them seemed rather engaging. Able to counter Wednesday's probing questions and efforts to get under her skin until she found out Wednesday's motives. Cue leaving like they never spoke and later finding Wednesday at her home and tossing the phone of the private detective she hired to get info on the organization into her apartment (But not going in) and basically telling her to leave.

The gist is Enid either never went to Nevermore or was taken out before Wednesday arrived. Stuff went bad for her, traumatizing conversion camps, cast out from the family, homelessness and eventual on again off again employment in the criminal underworld/Outcast Underworld. She likely has ties to Yoko and by extension Divina but likely is not often with them directly. Also she's perpetually partially transformed, clawed hands, fangs, sharp slightly inhuman features, especially the ears and broad shouldered. Also kitted out with Silver weapons that burn her skin but she uses anyway.

She does still have softer elements, hardened as they have become by her life. Such as handing over food to someone who'd been angling for drugs, but also forcefully making sure they eat it rather than waste it. Also tolerating Wednesday's inquiries so she'll stop showing up at her place of work and not ordering anything and not leaving unless threatened with her apartment being molotokov cocktailed.

SO yeah, basically crime Enid, and a Wednesday who never really had anyone call out the fact she's been very sheltered by her parents and who never got into situations blatantly over her head cos of recklessness and pride, or at least never suffered real consequences for it. So while deemed a deadly and elegant madam by the standards of say, a period drama. She is genuinely very ill equipped to navigate a social situation or real street crime for any length of time.

hello. you've just evoked my Dual Interest card. let's get into it.

so one of the funny things about this being the structure i.e. zac is zack because haha funny same name and xander as cloud is that truly this makes zero sense. cloud's entire thing is that he is smaller and weaker than the others where xander's is that he is bigger and stronger. so the idea of replicating like Exactly what happens to zack with zac instead in a more ff7 leaning sense as opposed to the beyblade aspect of it is. very silly.

i do think zac and zack have Some level of similarities between them though they are pretty far and few between. zac certainly acts closer to a younger zack (which i mean, checks out cos zac is about that age) and xander...... well xander does not suit cloud. zac is doing the heavy lifting in this silly role swap. which sucks cos he's not very strong.

the idea of zac being someone xander looks up to is pretty cute. i don't see xander being anywhere near as timid about it as cloud was but it's a fun thought nonetheless. zac slots into the role of "excitable person of importance (but not that much importance)" pretty easily.

as far as the Dying part goes that's mostly comical to me honestly 😭 poor little zac tries to drag 6'1 wall of muscle xander across two continents. inconspicuously. while on the run. quite frankly i don't think they'd have made it out of the mansion 😭 but let's suspend our disbelief just enough. zac fights the huge battle and xander desperately crawls towards him. zac sees him, his eyes light up, and he tells xander to live for the both of them. he brings xander down into his open wounds and xander comes back up with his blood on his face. zac moves his arm to reach for his sword, and he cannot pick it up. buster stays immovable on the dirt in the pool of zac's blood and it's so awkward that he dies. and xander screams and has his gay flashback and then he picks up the sword and wonders how zac could have possibly outranked him when he picks the thing up like it's a toothpick. he shuffles away, off to go meet whoever is playing aerith in this scenario.

unfortunately i find the idea of the ff7 characters in the beyblade universe a lot more interesting!! i think it'd be cuter and it makes more sense cos the plot is a lot looser and. less reliant on haha funny same name. i wrote that whole thing out too it's in my longpost tag somewhere

your ocs have very unique names, how did you come up with them? do you have a story planned out for any of them?

okay. so. there is so much background to this 😭 so i have ~4 main oc stories, and two of them take place in the same universe. when i was creating these characters, and later their universe, i was in the midst of learning gaeilge (i failed miserably at that- but that’s a different story 😭) so characters like maitiú got names in either gaeilge or gàdhlig (like eilidh). over time i did try to change names away from that to. like. get some variety in there. zara and vasko are some characters that got that treatment 😭 but basically i would sit there obsessively looking through behindthename.com for names that i felt fit the character. i can’t really explain it except when i have a character in mind, if i see the right name, i’ll know. like when i was naming solfrid and lovise, their names fit in my mind for them.

as for stories. oh boy. so their stories are always evolving for me. maitiú and co. that’s jaiden, zara, kae, vasko, gabi, tonia, and lena, mostly. i created most of them for an american girl doll roleplay group on google+ back in middle school 😭 but after that group fell apart i repurposed their characters and created a whole world for them. it’s abt a group of misplaced teenagers finding a home together following several tragedies, and it means the world to me. they’re like my best friends. and that world is always growing. i’m in the process of creating two conlangs and a whole mythology for it. it’s completely self indulgent.

also in that world, but a separate story of completely unrelated characters, we have mikey and eilidh!! and that one is also like a found family. i consider it close to being like a slice of life almost. mikey befriends eilidh (who is a fae. but that doesn’t matter that much 😭) and stuff happens, and mikey needs somewhere to go, so eilidh offers them a room in their mushroom house. my whole thing for them is basically shenanigans that they get up to. it’s fun.

solfrid and lovise is more in like. a vaguely medieval (? more like. um. fantasy ren faire esque than anything else) setting. lovise somehow gets herself roped into a plot to stage a coup with solfrid. it’s quite fun. i haven’t done a lot of work on this story.

and then devon and eleonoora! eleonoora is named that (specifically for the spelling) because i needed something that seemed like. over the top sophisticated. this is funny because i see this as like a. post apocalyptic setting, but one where humanity has already begun rebuilding. she meets devon, who has been traveling for a while, and they have to try and just. survive really. it’s kind of bleak. but i think the relationship between the two keeps the story light enough for me to deal with. it’s very hurt/comfort for me. i also haven’t done as much with this one as some of the others but the characters are near and dear to me still.
