people love to bitch on BW, but gosh, does it set up Ash's need to get strong in Kalos (to a fault) nicely. Like, there's plenty of moments we can see that the Cameron loss did affect him.

Is interesting how you can even see the essence of "Kalos Ash" in those key moments.

I really wish people tried to understand what BW symbolizes for Ash's growth cause man, I really enjoy the arc he goes throught post DP

Also for my current world, I'm basically still gathering material and farming, focusing on breeding villagers for trading (this way I got a full set of enchanted diamond armor and tools without having to mine which, let's fucking GOOO.) so it's very bare bone right now BUT

I have a big circle where I'm gonna build the new village and it just looks so ominous for now and it's cracking me up

And I'm digging an entire chunk for material. Dig dig dig dig dig dig dig I fell in a hole and died :((

oooooo sure! hope i did alright with these!

Maybe Ash was used to seeing legendaries like that and gaining some kind of power from them, and Brock was on a slightly similar level, but Dawn was understandably freaking out.

She couldn’t really control her astral projection at first. She was honored that Mesprit chose and trusted her, sure, but it was the weirdest feeling and pretty hard to control.

Brock had it slightly easier with past visions from Uxie. Actually, having that ability made some of his work with pokemon a bit easier, since he could pinpoint certain things about them when he took care of them.

And Ash? He already was the kind of person who seemed like he could handle anything, enhanced reflexes were nothing new to him. …Actually, he hardly noticed it.

He was able to help the two of them adjust a bit better, or as much as he could. Brock and Dawn both struggled a little, but once they started getting the hang of it, maybe they could actually be useful.

i think hermitcraft should have the equivalent of that 'regular guy does the olympics as a reference point for how good the olympians are' where it's just like. person who plays minecraft often enough to know what it is but that's it. they're not bad at the game but they're not about to reinvent the block while they play. around them are feats of divine architecture and world breaking redstone and cinema level plot lines and meanwhile they are living in a lovely one story one room wood house, they just made themselves a diamond chestplate, they are having a lovely day wandering around and complimenting everyone else's builds and politely declining every other hermits' offer to build a base for them

Not related to his growth as a trainer but more like a person, but I love Alola's finale! Specially Ash's faces when Lillie talks about her journey and his realization that he has been kinda of doing that to friends for a long while now :')

And how Lillie thanks him specifically before she leaves on her own journey. And then. He thanks her back.

and then he thanks Kukui and Burnet

and then Alola itself

And it's another beautiful small but so important thing he learns from Alola that he takes with him in Journeys.

And repeats on his parting with Goh

and its beautiful honestly. He learned to appreciate and SHOW THAT APPRECIATION to his friends. Because of Alola!

And I love this about this mediocre anime QAQ That despite all, there are things Ash learns from one season to another and takes all the way to the end. And it may not be pokemon types or strategies, but rather something specialer.
