still not over how retro studios figured out how to simulate samus' reflection in the visor as just this neat little touch, totally unnecessary but sooo immersive and cool, leading to it becoming one of the most beloved details of Prime 1. and then two games later they were like heyyyyy you know what would be really fucked up. if we used this as a visual storytelling device. you know, to show the horrific effects of progressive phazon corruption in first person. so that with every flash of samus' reflection, the player is reminded that it's slowly killing her
