i saw that 'teen wolf hates families' thing and it put me off cuz ik it's was talking biologically but the fact they didn't even include the whittmores (adoptive but still??? his family??) was like ???????? PLUS NOT INCKUDING THE DUNBARS OFF PRINCIPLE. HE CALLS DR GEYER HIS DAD IM??
and yeah everything you said about teen wolf being about family and love bc literally that's what brought malia back and stiles and how they saved lydia i can go on it's crazy. the pack is family ??????
Agreed agreed!! I’m sure they weren’t trying to be malicious at all but it felt strange because like, Teen Wolf LOVES families. They love families enough to portray more than one kind. It’s one of the handful of things that Teen Wolf genuinely does very, very well lmao.
And yea, I didn’t mention Malia bc there’s many differing opinions/interpretations out there of the Tate’s, but I do see her as another very family-centric character. She even says to Corinne “I want my family back”. Mr Tate himself is interesting because he does end up sending Malia to Eichen at one point, yikes, but in season 5 we start with seeing him being very supportive of Malia, so I think they’re another example of one of those rough-around-the-edges-but-still-love-each-other family dynamics.
Again, it probably wasn’t meant to be all that serious, but it’s an element in the show that I really really love and I don’t want others to miss that aspect of it, so I couldn’t resist ranting for a minute lol.

So Corrine and Peter have either a relationship or it's a one night stand and corrine becomes with child. She doesn't want this child at all but Talia convinces her to have the kid because the mother passes a part of her power to her child she says that Talia called it beautiful but Corrine called it theft. And while I know Jeff didn't mean to but this entire exchange and Corrine as a character implies that Talia forced her to give birth to Malia which...unintentionally makes Talia a monster. Corrine did so many terrible and evil things, Malia's mom and sister never deserved to die but, and again because Jeff is shit at plot, everything that happened to the Tate family is Talia's fault. Not only did she force Corrine to have the baby but she took the baby before Corrine could name her and put her up for adoption, and then she didn't keep tabs on said baby and when the car accident happened we're supposed to believe that a full pack with Talia as alpha all living in the woods didn't smell a coyote shifter? Jeff and his writers were terrible for this because it didn't go anywhere. We're told Talia was the best alpha ever but then we're given multiple examples on how she wasn't and with Malia it's the most egregious, because she even had the nerve to erase the Childs existence from Peter as well.
It makes it hard for me to hate Corrine when the implication was that she was forced to not only carry and give birth and have some of her power stripped from her and her autonomy stripped from her by force but that the child itself was taken directly from her after the birth, there was no time to bond or anything. The father of the child was made to forgot that the child and mother existed so she had no one on her side to console her in any way because Talia decided to make her horrendous acts easier on herself and then had the audacity to put the child up for adoption.
The writing for this show could have been so much better if Jeff didn't drop in and drop out of plot. Talia is said to have been a great alpha but Jeff, for the sake of shock value, came up with this entire thing devaluing Talia as anything but a subpar alpha who made terrible decisions for those around her and didn't care for the personal feelings of others. And we're supposed to like her? What was Jeff thinking?

If you were going to add an episode to Teen Wolf, what would it be about?
Oh i so got u bestie; i have so many thoughts about a bonus episode in between Codominance and Sword and the Spirit (5x13 to 5x14)!! The overarching theme of the episode would be trust—how it's been broken, how it's been healed, who you choose to put your faith into (and why), etc.
A-Plot
Scott seeks out, finds, and confronts Deucalion, in response to discovering Theo is looking for him at the end of Codominance. I think you could still keep the tension of whether or not Deucalion is double crossing Scott or triple crossing Theo, and then that final showdown will feel less out of nowhere
The main people involved here would be Scott, Kira, and Stiles, as Kira processes what all happened with the skinwalkers, particularly re: her test, and gets some closure between her & Scott re: her fox
In order for it to make sense that she goes back to the skinwalkers after Codominance highlighted how much she doesn't want to be with them, this episode would have to do some groundwork of her realizing she wasn't in control when she killed the oni and "beat" the test. We see her break her sword in the next episode, so i think maybe she should try to use it again in this one—and fail. This provides some really interesting stakes for Eichen & Scott's faith in her
Also i think scira deserve a talk about scott lying to her, and feel like this could be related to the crater in his chest he also won't talk about. I think his trust in Eichen could really elevated if Scira had a scene where Scott tells her the truth about just how big her fox is, and he trusts her not only with that information, but that she can still do it
Also also Scott and Stiles actually talk about Scott dying for heaven's sake!!! We needed it so bad and I think this would be a good time for it, especially as Kira finds out about it for the first time. Then we get a sciles hug bc i said so
How their varied fears of the nogitsune vs kira's kitsune plays in very heavily here, too
Ahem so anyway this resolves with a tense scene between Scott & Deucalion where you're really not sure if you can trust him at all, and afterwards Scott is worried he's making a bad call—and Stiles says it's okay, because he doesn't trust Deucalion, he trusts Scott, and Kira follows him up by saying that either way, this time, the pack will be there to back him up.
B-Plot
I hate Eichen so bad but I think it would've helped if Lydia had had scenes with Valack when she's more cogent/given more agency—maybe something that clarifies what he was doing with Peter at the end of s4 and how that led to her?
I feel like this would have to be in a mindscape, same as she has with Meredith, so Lydia is able to respond coherently/isn't just a prop to talk at
This could also clarify some of Valack's goals/motivations more concretely and foreshadow Lydia's victory over him in Lie Ability
C-Plot
Instead of Theo telling Malia he'll help her at the end of Codominance, their arc would be drawn out over the episode. This would heighten the tension of her having to depend on him, while allowing her to wrestle more explicitly with whether or not she's looking so she can kill the Desert Wolf, or to save Deaton
At the same time Scott is reckoning with his death, Theo is reckoning with Scott's resurrection—prompted, perhaps, by Corey having realized Scott was scared of Theo in the tunnels, the same way Corey was scared of Scott
Misc
I'd love a scene with Liam & his Dad—a werewolf reveal, preferably, +Liam processing his choices re: Scott & Hayden with someone that loves him, but is removed enough from the situation to comment on Liam's responsibility
I could get a Deaton & Corinne scene, as a Treat<3

The Hale family
In the show there's almost nothing regarding the Hale family, but from the little they said in it and from some headcanons I have in mind, I think they were a very powerful and respected family.
Talia Hale
Talia was and still remains a very respected and powerful Evolved Alpha in the Teen Wolf Universe not simply because she was evolved, but she was also a significant figure in the werewolf society (pass me the term if you'd be so kind). In fact many went to her for guidance and many Alphas did the same too, like Deucalion.
She had a close bond with Deaton, who promised her he would take her of her children if anything happened which he says to Derek when he asks Deaton why he's helping them.
Not only she was a pillar among werewolves but for Beacon Hills' Community too, in fact the Hale family helped building the communty back and making sure it would be somehow a quiet and calm place.
Peter Hale
Talia's brother who survived the fire, he's surely a character with a lot of personality, searching for power left and right he ends up having to deal with family ties he isn't even so fond of, but somehow tries to be a father to Malia (whom he had with Corinne, a werecoyote).
Peter went to get revenge for his family and killed Kate (who will come back as a werejaguar) and is very much driven by a strong desire of power. Somehow he also decides to stick to Derek's side for a while despite they don't seem in the best of terms most of the time.
Cora and Laura Hale
Derek's sisters and Talia's daughters, Laura died because of Peter and Cora stayed by Derek's side for quite some time, during with he saved her life.
Derek and Eli Hale
Derek is one of the few who remained the longer (we won't be counting the movie, thank you) and is a significant member of the family, becoming almost like Talia: an evolved (true) alpha and a important help for the community (such as being the sheriff's cunsoltant for some supernatural cases).
Which is also said by Satomi. (despite the fact she sayd this before Derek turn into a tue alpha in the film, but maybe she saw something in him that made Satomi thinks he could become a good alpha too)
Sorry I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia
And his son, Eli, which is seen only in the movie and nobody knows who's his mother.
Yet the Hale family surely had to be well known even before Talia despite nothing is said about the time before her. Maybe they were the 'guardians' of Beacon Hills, and I base this upon something Talia said.
We're predators, but we don't have to be killers.
Which could mean that despite their nature they don't have to hunt people and predators are naturally driven to protect the ecosystem that 'feeds them', which means they care about Beacon Hills because maybe it was their safe harbor and their home, despite they living in the forest and protected it from the outside.
Maybe even after Talia died and the fire occured, their family remained well known all around, earning them a quite famous status around town. Maybe also due to their 'rivality' with the Argents and how persistent they both were.
In the end, their family deserve more time and details since they have the potential to be a very intriguing storyline on their own.

Scott's Burden of Faith in
The Maid of Gévaudan
Tumblr media
A close-reading analysis of the library scene in Episode 5x18 in honor of @momentofmemory's birthday.
There is an argument to be made that the climax of Scott's story arc in Season 5 does not come in Apotheosis (5x20) but in this scene two episodes earlier, an episode mostly focused on a guest star and a story set two-and-a-half centuries before the present time. Yet it's very possible to see that the crisis in Scott's life manifests in all its complexity and is resolve this particular night.
It is a crisis of faith. Not religious faith, but a crisis of Scott's faith in what he has come to believe is the right way to act; in other words, his faith in his own identity: the True Alpha. One of the things I love about Teen Wolf is the idea that Scott doesn't start out the series with any other vision for himself aside from the idea that if he works hard he might make first line. No one else expects greatness out of him either: his mother, Stiles, and especially not his own father. Deaton has an intuition, but he doesn't press the issue. They're not doing this to be mean; he's a teenager after all. He has to forge his own vision.
By the time of La Bête's rampage at the lacrosse game, Scott has been the alpha for 41 episodes, and while he may have faced dire straits, suffered incredible losses, and even endured temptation, his choices have, for the most part, been good choices. Every character says so. But Season 5? Not so much. I would argue that for the first time, the tragedies befalling his pack are a result of his decisions. It's not that these are malicious decisions, they are just wrong. When before all the setbacks had always been because of the power of the enemy, this time Scott has been responsible for some of them.
Scott starts 5B in doubt. "Why would they come back?" he asks his mother in Status Asthmaticus (5x10). This isn't someone who's blaming anyone else -- even Theo -- for what has happened. He's questioning his own credentials, his own right to possess the identity of True Alpha. He's not even sure he can pass AP Biology, he's not even sure he deserves to heal like a werewolf can, let alone that he can defeat the Doctors and their creations.
It's not that he doubts the value of saving people or even the value of his pack. He doesn't waver about whether he should try; he wavers about whether he has the ability to do these things. When he staggers into the library, he's tired, he's bloody, and he's realized one more thing he definitely cannot do -- defeat the Beast in a physical match up. He leans against the table, and it's not hard to imagine him wondering why he ever thought he could stop any villain.
The plan to get the game cancelled failed. The plan to sabotage the television broadcast vans failed. Kira's fox spirit has gone completely off the rails. Liam has been reduced to a walking pile of hamburger. He doesn't know that he's won Hayden to his side, but he also doesn't know that Corinne has been threatening Malia. He's as lost as Marie-Jean was when she went into the woods looking for a wolf instead of a werewolf.
Melissa: You know what you're doing when you say should too often? You're should-ing all over yourself.
We don't know what he was planning to do but then he looks around and sees that he's not in the library alone. To the audience, other than Sydney, they're strangers, but he knows them. That's what Scott does -- he knows people. He's the only character to use Boyd's first name. He knows that Kyle is a senior; he knows that Josh is a junior; he remembers Kira's name. He might be in doubt about his own identity, but he knows who these people are. He knows something else.
Gerard: A monster whose only purpose was to kill. Not for sustenance, not for revenge, not for any rational impulse other than the drive to end life wherever it's found.
They are all going to die. They cannot escape the Beast. They cannot fight it. He can't fight it. All he's been able to do is survive. And he hesitates. He looks around. Because what the heck is he supposed to do?
Theo: We gotta protect him, right? Scott, come on. Scott? Scott, this is what you do.
Scott looks around the library. He has died here. He has felt his heart stop lying on those steps right behind him. He can't win, and even if by some twist of fate he survives, everyone here will have seen his face. The students in the library will see who he is and there will be consequences for that. (Hello, Nolan.) It's not fair, but things have never been fair.
Scott: So, somebody has to do something. Somebody has to save everyone. So somebody's got to be the bait!
The crisis has arrived. He doesn't have any allies with him right now. He doesn't have a plan. He doesn't have an advantage. He's hurt. He's inadequate (Professional mercenary Braeden will point this out in a few minutes). These students are terrified. They know it too. They can see the blood.
Melissa: So all you really need is to ask yourself, "What am I going to do?"
He has to reveal himself. He has to protect them. He has to give the hope. He has to lead them. He has to have faith that he can do these things, no matter how badly he's screwed up or how much it has cost him, or how much it will cost him in the future. It is what an alpha does. It is what a True Alpha does, and whether he wants to be or not, that is what he is.
"Go upstairs."
That's not a plan to beat the Beast; it's not guaranteed to save anyone. it's a statement of faith in his own ability. Win or lose, survive or die, it doesn't really matter what happens next. It doesn't matter that the Beast will be revealed as Mason and that his mistake with Corey will cause the pack to lose a chance to stop all this. It doesn't matter that this will set the stage for Monroe when Nolan talks to her over the summer. At this moment, Scott grabs onto the faith that it is, in the end, a good thing his eyes are red and that he has healed and that he is standing right there in this library.
He roars.

Some Teen Wolf friendships I think are/would be extremely underrated
Malia and Corey. It would definitely be a “I don’t know you that well but if anyone hurts you I will hunt them down” type thing. Malia would definitely be protective of our precious little cinnamon roll.
Malia and Kira are absolute girlbosses
ERICA AND BOYD, ERICA AND BOYD, ERICA AND BOYD!!!
Stiles and Allison are the definition of Platonic soulmates
Peter and Lydia had a certain “I hate you but I also need you” type dynamic.
Brett and Liam. They weren’t exactly friends but they had a sort of truce after the dead pool. It would’ve been great to see where their relationship went
Alec and Corey would definitely be friends in the beginning
Isaac and Malia would’ve gotten along so well
Mason and Danny probably would’ve been friends, tbh
Chris, Noah, and Melissa. The holy trinity😌
Derek and Chris had an enemies with benefits type dynamic and I’m kind of surprised no one has shipped them yet
Kali and Corinne would’ve girlbossed together so hard (WAIT THAT SOUNDS WRONG—)
Cora and Malia would’ve definitely had a “favorite cousin” type relationship😭
I’m kind of upset that they didn’t really acknowledge the fact that Malia and Derek were cousins, nor did they ever really talk
Allison, Malia and Kira would’ve been the perfect Girlboss trio
Theo and Liam are definitely enemies to lovers, change my mind
I can’t believe I have to say it, but STILES AND LYDIA!! They were there for each other through thick and thin and I’m honestly so mad it took them as long as it did to get together.

Note
wow, u have so many! it's hard to choose! but, um, okay. here's some (if u don't mind)
4. Good for wolves, bad for trauma (Isaac/Theo au)
10. Holes of sorrow (Lydia Martin time travel au)
21. Redeeming the villains of teen wolf
22. An electrifying kind of love (Josh/Brett)
30. That is a firm handshake you got there (Stiles/Brett slow burn)
i still want to know about the good theo one, but since u told me a lot already (same for THG thiam au one too) i'm cutting these off of this :)
Oh Wow! I wasn't expecting this but I don't mind at all😁💯 I will be debriefing them
4) This was started off by an idea of a rarepair. Which was then crafted with moodboards of these two. (Credits to you @thiamsxbitch) Basically this is an AU where Isaac doesn't leave to France with Chris. Instead he stays with Scott and Melissa as he battles against the Deadpool while being a mentor and beta to Liam. When he is a senior and someone from Scott's and Stiles's childhood crosses path, Isaac is skeptical but intrigued. He finds it mysterious that Theo wants to join Scott's pack out of nowhere which makes him hold the chimera at arms length. But Theo is interested in the tall beta werewolf who is not just one of Scott's best friends but is also the former lover of Allison. As these two cross, they find out more about themselves and are drawn to each other, not realizing the severity of the situation or Theo's deception before it's too late.
10) Holes of Sorrow became a huge creation of mines since I have seen a few time travel fanfics of Scott, Derek, Chris, and one from Allison. But Lydia (who happens to be one of my favorite characters too) goes from being a Queen Bee to becoming of the most trusted friends and allies in the series by season 6 and her banshee and intelligence is what makes her into a sophisticated badass.
But I decided to have this idea where the war is over but at the cost of her life and a majority of the pack. Rather than her soul passing on to the afterlife she is sent back in time to season 1 on the first day of school back from winter break. Which will not only confuse Lydia and give her a second chance, but also change the outcomes now that she has developed and become mature within herself and her banshee powers.
21) This fanfic or sets of one shots/mini series will be dedicated to the villains of Teen Wolf had their traumas played differently, had they made a different decision, or had they been saved by someone. (excluding Gerard and Kate because those two are psychotic murderers, Corinne because she is a cold blooded assassin, the Dread Doctors because technically they are corpses and the Nogitsune who is an entity of pure evil).
It would comprise the tragic villains of Peter Hale, Matt Dahler, Victoria Argent, Jennifer Blake, Kali, Ennis, Decaulion (even if he became a pacifist in season 6), Garrett, Violet, Sean Walcott (he wasn't a villain really but he went rogue as a Wendigo), Halwyn, Gabe Valet and Tamora Monroe. Each of them in a one shot or mini series to what if scenarios or how would it impact them and the story differently. I may add in Theo as an AU too. Mr. Douglass I will not add because he is a Nazi and he wanted to take the power of the Wild Hunt. Dr. Valek I am uncertain about due to his agenda for the supernatural and what he did to Lydia.
22) This one I am actually still brainstorming but I am actually planning out their dialogue and how they meet. These two are seen paired in fanfics I have read with this pairing and I decided to pair them up in this fanfic. From Strangers to Lovers, and while I do intend to add fluff (and adult content so rated E🔞🔞) I also intend to not make it easy and allow angst and darkness into his fanfic considering what Josh goes through and what he becomes.
They both will meet at Sinema and drawn to each other by their looks and their appeals. Of course while Josh can act carefree and edgy, he would be having a hard time to keep up with the smug, charming, and daring Brett who will be the cause of Josh's racing heart. While at the same time Brett's feelings for Josh will be claiming his own heart as he acquires the fuzzy feelings around the cute Latino teenager.
30) So how did this come into play? Well I got into Stiles/Brett ship (known as Briles) due to a fanfic called Summer Daze by emsittens which intrigued this spark. Then I went into a Briles brain rot which I still ship completely and began reading some Briles fanfics. There are many Briles fanfics on AO3 but my favorites aside from Summer Daze are the ones written by my dear friend @amatchinwater who has many fanfics of Briles. (I applaud you💙💙💙😎😎😎)
But in this WIP, Stiles meets the 8-pack Devenford Prep Lacrosse captain after getting Liam away from him but after trying to play "polite" and use his wits, Brett tells him something that is a mixture of an insult and a flirtatious compliment. "You really are a talkative mouthy one. A hot, talkative mouthy one at that😏"

I got through season 5 of Teen Wolf. Wow, that entire Bête du Gévaudan storyline was super annoying. Why do that when the film Le Pacte des Loups exists?
There’s no point in doing all that if the ridiculous CGI monster doesn’t turn out to be Vincent Cassel. Really.
Tumblr media
And you know the writers have seen the movie, why else did it begin in Nouvelle-France? God, I miss Fronsac.
Tumblr media
Why do they put on fake French accents? In the fictional world, they are all French, in France, wouldn’t they be speaking French to each other? Sure, we would hear it in English because that’s how television works (Tardis effect!), but with normal accents.
Tumblr media
I did have a moment when I complained that they didn’t cast JR Bourne as Henri Argent, but then I remembered that’s his daughter. That would have been weird.
Also: could they not afford a French dialogue coach? JR, sir, do schools in Toronto not offer French classes? Mr Hogan, IMDb tells me you studied at the National Theatre School of Canada, that’s here in Montreal, and you picked up no French st all? I had to learn your language in high school, you could at least have learned enough to sound like you have heard spoken French before.
And why is Gerard here? Why is Gerard still here in the end-of-season-we-think-we-might-get-cancelled-so-here’s-us-tying-up-all-the-loose-relationship-threads montage? Chris. Come on, Chris. Just kill him. Please.
Tumblr media
Could they not give Mason a last name? I would have thought for that to work, Lydia would have had to use his full name, including middle name and childhood nickname.
I will also need details of Corinne and Talia’s interactions. Did Talia force her to carry a pregnancy to term, then erase Peter’s memory for… reasons? What are those reasons? Peter should have been here for all that.
Tumblr media
What the actual fuck was Deucalion doing here?
How many cars do we think Bass highjacked before he found a driver his exact size? And couldn’t be have highjacked a few more so he wasn’t wearing a grey hoodie?
That was annoying.
At least Chris Argent perfected his beard game. Looking good, sir.

OC time!!
i have recently recycled these babies so they’re not like,, fully fleshed out lol but I wanna talk abt em anyways!! A lot of this is going to be chalk full of spoilers for my rewrite if I ever get around to actually writing it, so be warned!! they’re mostly small details tho so it’s not too huge but still
@the-tismification-of-aaron-lycan
Della:
phys desciption: human, avg height, curvy and muscular hourglass build, moroccan, curly blonde hair (always covered by a hijab, her favorite of which is golden rod yellow), brown eyes, late teens/early 20s, her “signature color” is rust orange
Juror during Zane’s tenure, one of the only jurors not handpicked by Zane, although he did obviously have a say in her getting the position. She doesn’t have a confirmed jury title yet, but her temp title is Crystal Vision
Magics user with the ability to see into the future. due to her age + other factors her ability to control said magics is somewhat limited; she has very little control over how far forward she sees and visions tend to come to her at random rather than her intentionally making them happen (not to say that she can’t induce visions). she also tends to accidentally induce visions when she becomes stressed or overwhelmed
the magics came mostly naturally, more of a gift, and now that she’s reached a point in her practice where she actually needs to work at it she’s at a loss. on the path to magical gifted kid burnout
she has very little family and no friends from childhood, growing up with only her mother. They lived in a smaller, very religious town not far from Okhasis, and as such she grew up deeply religious
By nature she is very kind and compassionate albeit timid. However the rarity of her magic garnered a lot of negative attention, and a lot of people tried to find ways to use her for it, often through cruel means. As such, she has become anxious and paranoid
in terms of trying to use her the Jury/Okhasis is no different, something she didn’t realize until it was too late. She hates being in the Jury, but is too afraid of what might happen to her and/or her mother if she tries to leave
her story ends during the 15yr timeskip, when she is tried and executed for treason on account of not being able to predict/prevent Zane’s disappearance.
Elliott:
phys description: werewolf, tall, somewhat lean but sturdy inverted triangle build, central european, messy dark brown hair, black eyes, mid 30s, his “signature color” is eggplant purple
Corinne’s husband and Lia’s father
Juror during Zane’s tenure, recruited thanks to the interference of his wife Corinne. He has no particularly strong feelings about Zane, the Jury, or any of their questionable morals; for him it’s really just a job. His Jury Title is Wolf’s Bane
He doesn’t use any weapons, in human form or wolf, but Corinne does provide various potions and elixirs to boost his attacks, which he often takes advantage of in the form of poison-tipped claws
He’s been essentially disowned by his family after he was turned, and he has learned to “accept it” (*cough* repress it *cough*). Even if they refuse to associate with him, he has a mother, father, and three younger brothers. He originally hails from a very small farming-central village in the south of Ru’an, went on the run for years after being turned before meeting Corinne in Okhasis, where he settled.
He’s very cocky and self-assured by nature, definitely kind of an asshole. All the trauma of being turned and disowned left him bitter and angry, traits he has to this day. He doesn’t have a whole bunch of positive qualities lol
He does love his wife wholeheartedly though, as well as his daughter. Everything he does he does with his family in mind. He wants to be better to them than his family was for him, and often that ends up with him stubbornly believing everything he does is right (bc he’s doing it for them and if they argue then they’re ungrateful etc yall know how this goes)
his story ends during the 15yr timeskip; he gets killed in the line of battle during the war with Tu’la, loyal to his nation and family til the very end
Corinne:
phys description: witch, avg height, curvy pear-shaped build, vietnamese, straight dark orange hair, brown eyes, early 30s, her “signature color” is wine red
Elliott’s wife and Lia’s mother
Not a juror, but very closely connected to Zane, the Jury, and other Okhasian nobility through her husband’s juror status, something she enjoys taking advantage of
she is native to Okhasis, coming from a semi-noble family, not super high in the politics chain but well above the average citizen
Her dream was to be one of the “top dogs” in Okhasis, if not the entirety of Ru’an. She got this from her mother who had a similar goal.
Marrying Elliott was something more akin to an investment for her; she saw that he had potential and pushed him to reach for something greater (the jury), ultimately raising her own status drastically
She is incredibly selfish and vain, caring for no one but herself. She gets away with it by being manipulatively charming
During the timeskip very little changed in terms of her goals. at some point she figured Tu’la was likely going to take over, she abandoned everything and swapped sides, working her way up in Tu’lan society. She is currently remarried to a well respected Tu’an general
Cordelia/Lia:
phys description: werewolf, tall but not as tall as her father, lean rectangular build, mixed (european/vietnamese), curly dark orange hair, brown/black eyes, 7(s1), 22 post timeskip, her “signature color” is rose pink as a child and dusty rose as an adult
Daughter of Elliott and Corinne
Her parents were deeply involved in the Jury and Okhasis politics and struggled to give her the attention she needed; as a result, she was never very close to them (plus a million other mental health issue lmao)
Feels responsible for her parent’s wrongdoings despite not having a hand in any of it. As an adult she chooses to travel the world and right her parent’s wrongs wherever she can
Her father dies and her mother abandoned her shortly after the war started. She learned to fight and survive, barely escaping Okhasis in hner early teens alongside many other orphaned and abandoned children that she helped along her way
She’s about the same age as Abby; they weren’t close as children due to their parents not getting along, but their paths cross again in adulthood and they briefly become travel companions. They’re still not close, but they’re not enemies, so she counts it as a win
She actually has an awful crush on Abby in adulthood, but it isn’t reciprocated (yet?)
After parting ways with Abby she finds Mikai, and begins working with him and helping Tu’la refugees
Violetta:
phys description: human/mage, fairly short, chubby build, chilean, curly black hair, violet eyes, mid 20s, her “signature color” is violet (go figure lol)
something of a bounty hunter, willing to do increasingly awful things if given enough money
One of her earliest assignments was to murder Zane. She ended up failing, and was given a new assignment by him in exchange for her life (to remove a certain juror from the equation). She now is offering unofficial aid to Tu’la, who are using her to continue picking off uncooperative Ru’an nobility.
she specializes in magic that can bend light, creating optical illusions and more impressively turning things (and herself) invisible, a trick she utilizes for her job
she has a very laidback personality, very intelligent and sly but always keeping a very relaxed and often very charming demeanor
though she would never state it, she originally comes from falcon claw, her family relocating the the eastern edge of Ru’an shortly before falcon claw is decimated
Her family is nothing to write home about, both parents and her little brother are alive and well in eastern Ru’an. She’s on good terms with all three of them, but rarely visits and refuses to tell them what she does for work (she’s afraid of them reacting poorly)
she wholeheartedly believes the story about Aaron being responsible for the falcon claw massacre, and her desire for closure/revenge is partially why she become involved in bounty hunting. despite essentially dedicating her life to finding him, he has always managed to elude her, so much so she’s not even sure he’s alive
By the time of the timeskip she’s become more focused on her work + her own survival more than anything else, and no longer has that drive for vengeance

Since you asked? I guess
TLDR: Stiles is a vedmak (polish warlock) who stole his powers from Claudia and that is why she died losing her grip on reality because she was being re-drawn into the Spiritual world she was tied to.
Long post:
Claudia tried to kill Stiles because he was "trying to kill her." What if he was killing her by taking her powers away. She gets sick after he's born - we have EVIDENCE in teen wolf than when a supernatural has children, the child gets part of their powers. So, Claudia had powers. Druid or more likely a vedma (polish witch).
Which means when she gave birth to Stiles, he took her powers and became a vedmak (polish warlock). Now, what's special about a male warlock in Slavic mythology is usually the vedmak focuses on the Shamanic aspects of Slavic Paganism. Meaning interacting with the world through altered states of consciousness and spirits.
This includes Trances of concentration to commune with the spirits, ability to FORETELL THE FUTURE (picking matt out of a line up? really? don't think he had some divination?) and the connection between the world beyond (Stiles is the person who's been to Bardo the most, like come ON).
Now LET'S THINK ABOUT ALL THE TIMES STILES WAS IN A "TRANCE" to make his magic work
The mountain ash circle (closed his eyes and womp there it is)
all the times he said just let me think and then had the brain blast after concentrating
season three a when he's in the bath and it works despite his anchor not as strong as it could have been (ibr, it probably ONLY WORKED because Stiles was the one making it work) (also also, don't come at me about Lydia, she would have been stronger as Allison's anchor and Scott would have been stronger for Stiles, but they used what they had ok???)
Closes his eyes shaking in concentration and suddenly the Nogitsune is there? He was in a trance trying to protect himself and nogi took over while he was vulnerable (not knowing what was going on or that he was trying to protect himself because NO ONE EXPLAINED HE WAS MAGIC)
Let's not even begin to talk about the nightmares and Dreams becoming reality, ok?
Season four and five he closes his eyes quite a bit before things work. Including the gun to his head NOT going off? like That's some lucky timing! (or is it????)
season six in radio silence he's making Lydia remember him through a mantra, repeating words and phrases, communing through the spirit world as a vedmak. Unbeknownst to him.
But Ren, Stiles is just super good at research and reading people and all that because of his ADHD and who he is as a person!
Sure yes, but remember when Percy Jackson introduced the concept of ADHD/dyslexia as the best way to describe what happened to you being a demigod in a mortal world? Why can't we say the ADHD diagnosis and use of Adderall was to keep Stiles' powers contained tighter.
If he stopped taking his medication, his powers would come full bloom and Claudia couldn't have that because every time she looked, he was syphoning more of her powers. She was convinced to have her child just like Corinne was.
Claudia was absolutely right in her frightened state, Stiles was trying to kill her by taking her powers like Malia did to Corinne. Talia planned Corinne and Malia, what if she also planned Claudia and Stiles: trying to make the next generation, her daughter or son's future pack stacked with supernatural.
Alright, that's my piece, thank you!
Biting through my cheek at my new "Stiles always had his spark" theory and I want to write it SO BAD

Literally everyone shows up:
Desert Wolf: Wait a second, I thought you all hate each other.
Scott: I don’t think you quite understand how things work around here.
Lydia: We might sometimes hate each other…
Liam: We might get pissed at each other…
Peter: We might maim each other…
Malia: Even try to kill each other…
Derek: But guess what, bitch?
Theo: No one hurts our Stiles.

It's hard to keep a job when a part of becomes an obsession.
Who were you after?
All I know is a code name. The Desert Wolf.
Heavily influenced by a conversation about them with @spikeface.
