Guess who's writing her second Neckz 'n Throats fic? This time, newbie Stiles who fills in for his roommate Kira when she has to cancel a shoot last minute.

“I am so sorry I’m late, but I also only learned that I should be here like forty-five minutes ago so honestly, fifteen minutes late is half a miralce. I may have broken several traffic laws.”

Peter was not the only one to stare at the rambling boy. He was… not what Peter had expected from the ‘barista roommate’ replacement that Kira had spoken of. He was pretty to look at, that much was a relief. The pale skin would do for marvelous markings. The moles dotting the side of his face were enchanting marks of their own. His hair was already messy like someone (probably the boy himself) had run his fingers through it repeatedly. Good for tugging, it would look splendid with clawed fingers curled in it. He was lanky, long limbs and slender build. A twink, to put it bluntly. Which was its own appeal, but it made Peter want to pair him off with someone else instead of Malia, who was supposed to shoot this at her girlfriend and mate-to-be’s side. Boyd might pair well with him. Mh, Jackson’s arrogance would also pair well, put the boy on his knees for the wolf.

Peter was startled when he felt his inner wolf growl and protest the notion, as soon as a delicious and tantalizing scent of sweet honey, dangerous lightning and ink-stained books hit his nose, making want flare up in him. The boy should be on his knees for Peter, bare that pretty, pale stretch of throat for the Alpha, submit to him readily and willingly, beg for—

“You must be Stiles,” Chris spoke with a friendly smile, motioning for the boy to join them. “I’d like to say we heard a lot of you, but all of this is very last minute…”

“Well, I heard a lot about you, so that makes up for it on my end,” Stiles grinned broadly and shook Chris’ hand. “Christopher Argent, though your reputation preceded you even beyond what Kira gushes about. You are brilliant, I mean, holy shit, what you do with a camera is straight-up magic.”

Peter’s wolf rumbled pleased and settled down some, his earlier agitation also dispersing at the sound of praise being heaped upon his mate. Yes, good. His Christopher deserved all the good words there were, because he indeed was brilliant and too few people recognized that. There were so many who thought photography was just about ‘clicking a button’ and Peter had threatened bodily harm on that matter on multiple occasions already (much to Chris’ embarrassment).

yeah anyway part of the reason that season 2 felt so weird to me is the insistence that the hunters and werewolves of beacon hills are going to war when its AT BEST six werewolves and a stiles (three of which turned for less then two months, another just back from the dead) against 30+ fully trained professional hunters?? not really a war there guys. pretty. pretty one sided actually.

and they were "going to war" over a woman who has been publicly proven to have murdered a family of eleven people, including KIDS, by trapping and burning them alive? who was killed?? by a guy who's family she murdered??? and now HES dead????

like. this season wants you to see Derek as at least a minor antagonist. but his competition is a stalker that kills like ten people and a GUY WITH A SWORD DEDICATED TO CUTTING WEREWOLVES IN HALF. GERARDS INTRO SCENE IS LITERALKY HUM TELLING HUNTERS TO KILL EVERY SINGLE WEREWOLF POSSIBLE NO MATTER HOW HARMLESS. YOU CANNOT TELL ME HES EVEN XLOSE TO A GUY WHOS MAIN CRIME IS STANDING OMNIOUSLY

anyway. I do not care for the Argent family. or the way this season tries to make this a two sided conflict when it very much is not.

My favorite thing about Teen Wolf is watching so many people try so hard to hate Scott and just slowly, kicking and screaming all the way, become undyingly loyal and devoted to him or at least finding themselves on his side. There should be a Failed Enemies of Scott McCall support group co-headed by Derek Hale and Chris Argent.

They should also write a book together called So Some Dopey Fucking Teenager Destroyed Your Whole Belief System, Now What?

if there’s one aspect i could criticize about the writing of teen wolf it’s the in depth backstories of each character only to never talk about it again or develop it any further.

liam’s ied and past school? only used as a prop to further the plot and create conflict (angry man go punch!)

isaac’s abuse and claustrophobia? only mentioned/showed how it effects him one time outside flashbacks (motel california)

theo’s growing up and manipulation with the dread doctors? never mentioned, only lightly brushed over in incoherent flashbacks (yes it shows him being guilty for taking tara’s heart, but not the dread doctors effect on him and torture for him to get where he was)

stiles’ nogitsune trauma? only brought up as a joke after the fact (“i once had a demon living in my head LOL”)

derek hale’s past with grooming by kate? only used to show they know each other, not why what she did was wrong or harmful (doesn’t show the harmful nature of grooming and how derek’s trust would be forever altered because of kate’s abuse of his)

malia living like a coyote for the first ?17? years of her life because she “killed” her own family? “omg you can’t take her anywhere! she likes to eat deer🤣🤣”

allison’s mom killing herself cause she’d rather be anything but a werewolf? mentioned maybe a couple times afterwords

it seems as though they attempt to make the characters deep and thought-out but toss aside the trauma they have given them in order to further the new villian of the week and constant conflict. sometimes i wish that the characters made decisions in conjunction with their prior trauma or showed symptoms of how these events effected them because it’s no secret that they would. i understand that it’s a lot to ask for a super precise and detailed description of how every character is feeling, but with 24 episodes a season, tossing in a couple reflective scenes couldn’t have hurt. i fear that their constant need to one-up their villains took away from the personality and characterization of the show as it kept running.

(this is why i love this fandom so much, because yall do! thank you to the writers who write realistic ptsd or lingering effects of major events)

allison is such an fun character to me and i think the idea's she represents in the show as somebody who is defined by their family and wants to be within it and yet needing to seperate herself from their ideals and standards, are genuinely so interesting.

i think if she survived these 100% couldve been explored more considering each argent does come back aside from victoria but her death also served as a great stepping stone for the show as a whole.

People seem to forget that Stiles literally refused to be a message for Scott. Gerard beat him to send a message to Scott, Stiles knew this. So when Scott wordlessly questions the marks on Stiles' face, Stiles, also wordlessly, assures him he's fine and that it's nothing.

Honestly, Scott should have pushed because that was not nothing, that looked incredibly painful. But a lot was going on so it makes sense he didn't push for answers. Still, Stiles never gets any credit for this. He could have easily went to Scott about it but he chose not to. He knew Scott would feel guilty, and even after finding out that Scott basically double crossed Gerard and Derek, Stiles still didn't say a word.

He didn't want Scott to feel guilty for something he couldn't change, he didn't want to be the reason Scott gave in, and he didn't want Scott to be hurt by the fact that Stiles was used to attempt to force Scott to comply with Gerard.

Sounds like a good friend to me. Not saying either of them were never a bad friend to each other at times, but damn, Stiles really took one for the team there.

It seems like he never told anyone, that the only people who knew were Chris, Erica, and Boyd. And only one of them lived throughout the whole series.

Stiles lies to protect his friends and family. Stiles bottles up trauma and feelings to protect his friends and family. Stiles shows he cares in an unhealthy (for himself) way, and yet all some people see is a lying liar who lies.

I feel like Stiles should get a little less hate for lying because it's almost always to protect others.
