I remember the way the seasons would turn,

How autumn arrived with its soft, gentle burn.

The leaves would fall, golden and bright,

Like whispers of secrets that fade with the light.

It was months before the trees turned red,

I saw you then, but you turned your head.

I lingered, hoping for that fleeting glance,

And when you caught me, it felt like a chance.

Not just once, but again and again,

Our eyes would meet in that silent refrain.

People talked, their voices a soft rustle,

But we stayed quiet, lost in the subtle.

Outside the classroom, you’d be near,

I think it was Rob Bell who said that if you're spending more than 10 per cent of your time doing things around the thing you do, instead of doing the thing that you do, then that's worth a long hard moment of reflection. Because most of your time should be spent actually *doing the thing* .

Do you have any tips/advice for new indie writers?

Don't fall into the trap of being a social author.

Do you want to be a social media star or do you want to write books? Because every hour you spend making reels and tiktok videos? Should probably be spent writing.

"But I have to promote myself!" you say. "Social media is a free tool, why shouldn't I use it?!"

You absolutely should! But consider: Is your end goal likes on a post and follows on your TT account? Or conversion to book sales and longevity as an author? Because when you make yourself the product, the goal posts have a funny way of moving. External validation is like a drug, and when you've made yourself the star, getting that next hit of validation is going to supersede working on your craft and developing an authorial voice.

Honestly, it's not much different than being a writer in a fandom space, or posting content on a site like this.

Likes are great, reblogs are for discovery. If you are a consumer of Creator content, reblog and share the things you love.

But if you are the creator? Get your validation from somewhere else. Because the second you need it from strangers, you've already given up the game.

So in my “will-i-won’t-i” with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (where I procrastinate and don’t watch the shows and only absorb the content through TikTok, Tumblr and sometimes Twitter) I came across Staticmoth/ VoxVal.

I saw the scene with Angel and Valentino. His abuse and disgusting behavior. I have an idea on how this moth asshole behaves.

And I have seen some people think that their relationship would be toxic, that Vox and Val, if the predictions are correct and become (or are revealed to be) a couple, would beat the shit (physically, mentally and emotionally) out of each other on the regular, but I think the idea that him and Vox having a healthy relationship could be such a punch to the gut plot wise.

Because that would mean Valentino IS capable of understanding consent. He KNOWS what working with someone else means without disrespect. He FULLY knows what sex is supposed to be like.

But that’s is between equals. Vox? His equal. Fellow overlord.

Angel? His property. Why would he give a shit about his thing?

i dont think its innaccurate at all to say that trans women are disproportionately larger targets among queer spaces but i think its really willfully ignorant & disengenuous that many examples people use to prove this deliberately scrub any kind of intersectionality with intersex & transmasculine people because when you make this idea of being "the most oppressed group" a core fundimental of your political platform. you obviously are going to be actively hostile whenever anybody points out that a) their experience w/ mysogeny is not unique & exclusive to "amab" transfems & b) that intersex people exist at all & are direct & extremely harsh targets of transphobia & that many tumblr girls exploit the ambiguity in early intersex termonology to both redefine out everybody who isnt a trans woman & to say its exclusive to trans women. when your goal is oppression olympics, -witch to be clear is a game you are never going to win regardless of how many spaces you fill on minority bingo- youre forced to dip into increasingly blatent bioessentialism & sexism in order to justify yourself.
