Rant about AHS Coven ship(s).

Since yall love my based rants so much, I have another quarrel.

I love feisty queers with homoerotic friendships just as much as the next person, but can we please STOP shipping Zoe and Madison?

It’s not because I don’t see the vision, or don’t like the idea of the ship or yada yada.

It’s because Madison is ABUSIVE. Even to Zoe. Especially to Zoe.

Madison abuses Zoe’s boyfriend by having sex with him in front of her so she can get jealous of the fact that Madison was with him.

Madison forces Zoe into a threesome when she clearly doesn’t want to, and she only gives in when Kyle gives out his hand to her. And in the same scene clearly taunts Zoe by saying they could “share” Kyle, despite knowing Zoe has feelings for him, and even saying she knows in that same moment. Yet she still brings up the idea and drags her out of the bathroom to have sex.

Madison mind controlled Kyle and made him do awful things in front of Zoe just to spite/ upset her.

Madison verbally berates her boyfriend and calls him things like “boy toy/ candy” and “ken doll”. And it’s not even just what she does to Kyle.

She ignored Zoe’s distress in seeing the bodies of the accident. She disregards her feelings after she accidentally killed Kyle, even though she knew Zoe cared.

She let Zoe die even though bringing her back could prove that she is the next supreme, which is what she wanted.

I know there could be an argument that “oh, she’s just upset she likes Kyle and is trying to make her jealous” or “that’s just her personality and she secretly likes her” or something along those lines, but you are excusing the fact that Madison is meant to be an abusive and destructive character to justify your queer ship.

There are plenty of characters inside and out of Coven who you could headcannon as queer that aren’t the two people who hate each other the most, let alone w/ one who abuses the other and everyone around them straight up.

Like Misty Day and Cordelia could be plausible, in my eyes. Marie Laveau and Fiona are also a great example in my eyes. They even teamed up together and put aside their quarrels to defeat a common enemy. Both are users of/ without men, strong, independent and clearly have chemistry.

In summary:

Madison is cunty, but she’s also a cunt.

Please stop shipping queer abusive relationships. Madison and Zoe are so toxic together even if it looks like an attractive pairing.

Even if they were together, it would be a horrible relationship.

I’d totally be for it if she actually had some sort of redemption arch, but she’s practically the exact same even all the way through apocalypse.

Zoe deserves better than Madison, at the very least.

And for many campers who resided in Cabin 10, they did love the holiday!

Silena frowned as she looked over at her sister. (Y/n) was lounged across her bed, watching all of her siblings get ready with a longing look in her eyes.

“Thanks, Sil.” (Y/n) rolled her eyes as she set her gaze upon her black haired sister. “Really feeling the support here.”

“What am I supposed to support you in?” Silena pointed her hairbrush at (Y/n) and raised her eyebrows. “You plan to spend the day moping around instead of confessing to—”

“I’m too scared!” (Y/n) cut Silena off as she buried her head in her hands. “I mean— Luke probably doesn’t even like me.”

Silena sighed and rolled her eyes. Honestly, she found it hard to believe that (Y/n) was her sister sometimes. For someone who was so good at knowing about other peoples love lives, (Y/n) was oblivious to her own.

(Y/n) was in love with her best friend, Luke Castellan. Anyone who knew her would know that. And anyone with eyes could tell that Luke shared the same adoration.

Anyone but (Y/n), apparently.

The door to the cabin opened and (Y/n) smiled when she saw the blonde locs of her other sister, Cordelia.

“Why are you still here?” Cordelia wrinkled her nose, carelessly swinging a pink bag in her hands.

“I thought today was supposed to be a day about love.” (Y/n) frowned. “I am not feeling the love from you guys.”

“Its tough love, sweetheart.” Cordelia grinned and threw the bag onto (Y/n)‘s bed. “For you, by the way.”

(Y/n) sat up and grabbed the pink gift bag. She wondered who it was from, secretly (or not so secretly) she hoped it was from Luke.

She knew it wasn’t, though. It wasn’t even his handwriting that was scrawled across the bag.

Peeking in, she saw an envelope and a jewelry box.

She took the jewelry box first. She was in the confines of her cabin, she was allowed to be selfish.

In the box was a necklace. Half of it was pearls and half of it was a silver chain. Perfectly her style.. whoever picked this out must’ve known her well. Or they had asked her friends.

(Y/n) hoped it was the former.

Ripping open the envelope with little regard, she furrowed her brows as she read the card.

“you know i’m no good with words. meet me in the strawberry field so i can show you how much you mean to me.”

“Whose it from?” Silena asked curiously as she sat next to (Y/n).

“Dunno.” The girl shrugged as she handed her the note. “There’s no name.”

Silena smiled and grabbed (Y/n)‘s shoulders. “Well you have to go! I’m curious.”

“Yeah, but what if it’s someone creepy.” (Y/n) scrunched her nose up at the thought.

Cordelia and Silena shared a glance before pushing (Y/n) towards the vanity.

“Don’t worry about that.” Cordelia cooed as she began to rifle through (Y/n)’s closet. “It’ll all be fine.”

It was not fine. And (Y/n) was worrying about it.

Reluctantly, she stood in the middle of the strawberry field. She had gotten there ten minutes ago and still, no one had shown up.

She was starting to worry that Connor Stoll was playing a prank on her. She looked so nice, too. If her pretty, pink, summer dress was going to be wasted on prank— (Y/n) was going to be pissed.

After five more minutes, (Y/n) decided that this was a bust. She was about to turn around and march back to her cabin when she heard the grass crunch behind her.

Turning around, (Y/n) felt her face flush as she saw the familiar brown curls.

“Luke..” She breathed out. “What uh— what are you doing here?”

“M’ waiting for someone..” He mumbled and ran a hand through his hair.

He seemed… nervous, and he looked nicer then usual. Instead of the orange camp shirt and khaki shorts, he wore jeans and a red sweater.

And then it dawned on her. Oh gods… how embarrassing! She was supposed to meet her secret admirer here, and now here comes Luke.. probably meeting his Valentine here too.

“I’m meeting someone here, too..” She flashed him an awkward smile and reached up to fidget with the necklace she had received.

Luke stared at her, his brown eyes boring into her soul as he opened his mouth. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he decided against it and took a step closer to her.

“That’s a pretty necklace.” He mumbled, reaching out to touch it.

(Y/n)’s face burned red at the contact as she looked up at him.

“Thanks.. my uh— secret admirer, or whatever, got it for me..”

Luke took a deep breath in and (Y/n) pursed her lips.

“(Y/n), listen…” He reached up to touch her cheek, his warm breath fanning over her face. “I’m not good with words, but I love you.”

“Luke..” (Y/n) breathed out. Her face felt hot and her heart was fluttering so fast she was sure she was about to have a heart attack.

“When I’m with you, everything just feels right. And I just—” He hesitated for a moment and leaned closer. “Can I just show you?”

Instead of responding, (Y/n) threaded her fingers through Luke’s curls and tugged him closer, smashing her lips against his.

For years, she had wondered what it would feel like to kiss the Luke Castellan. Would it be fast and rough? Slow and sensual? She finally had her answer.

After a moment of shock, Luke pressed his lips against hers with the same amount of passion. His lips moved against hers fast and rough, but he held her face like it was the most delicate thing in the world.

Maybe Silena was right, (Y/n) was stupid. But she was making out with her best friend, so her stupidity must’ve payed off.

After a moment, Luke pulled away. (Y/n) frowned and tried to chase his lips with her own, but he pushed her away softly.

“(Y/n)..” He laughed, his nose brushing against hers. “Will you… be my valentine?”

“That was incredibly corny.” (Y/n) laughed. “But yes. Yes I will.”

This trait is meant for child sims to elder sims. There are 34 in-game movies, so that means your sims will have 34 wants plus other social-related wants. Three weeks later

Nevermore closed its doors sooner than usual. After the passing of Principal Weems, the semester had to be cut short, which meant a longer spring break for the students. Most of them were secretly glad of it, and to be fair Xavier was among them. The reason for this elongated holiday was dreadful, but a break from school could do him some good. Standing in the passageway of the first floor above the quad, he gazed at the crowd of students getting ready to go home. He made a mental note to bid Ajax goodbye before his friend left. 

 “Hello Xavier,” greeted a voice beside him. 

He turned his head to the side to be greeted by the sight of a woman cladded in a very sophisticated black outfit, dramatic black hat and sunglasses. She looked intimidating, but he knew better. “Hello Miss Cordelia,” he greeted your aunt. “I didn’t know you were picking up Y/N.”

“I’m not,” she said flatly, “but I wanted to make sure of a few things.”

 Approaching the ledge she followed Xavier’s eyes fixated on you, currently hugging Enid goodbye, no doubt promising to text her during the holiday break. 

 “Does she remember anything?” asked your aunt in a surprising soft tone. 

“Of the disease? Most of it. About me, she remembers more and more every day,” said Xavier, not tearing his gaze away from you. 

Aunt Cordelia hummed pensively, in appreciation. A long moment of silence followed, before Xavier spoke up again. 

“How is that even possible?” he asked your aunt, “I thought removing the flower with a surgical operation would make her forget about me completely.” 

Your aunt sighed, indicating how little she knew about this too, “I don’t know. That’s why I wanted to come here, the doc had said that during the surgery, the flowers’ roots were already not clutched around the lungs and heart anymore.”

Xavier frowned, not getting where she was getting at, “Why does it matter?”

“It’s the forceful removal of the roots that triggers the memory loss,” explained the elder witch. “Or we think it’s the source of it. But given that he hadn’t to tear it out…I’m wondering if that’s why she still has some memories of you.” 

At her words, Xavier’s eyes widened slightly, “You think she can actually remember everything one day?”

“It’s possible,” shrugged Cornelia, “after all, you said it yourself, her memory is recovering day by day.” 

 His heart thumped in excitement at the prospect. Xavier had dared to imagine this possibility but…hearing someone else confirming his theory was something else entirely. 

 Fixing her sunglasses on her nose, your aunt continued, “I’ve spoken to a certain Miss Bianca Barclay, I assume you’re familiar with her?”. At Xavier’s nod she continued, “She told me what she had done for Y/N with her siren’s song; it’s most likely that’s what caused the flowers and their roots to retreat from around her heart.”

“You mean that Bianca might actually have saved Y/N?” said Xavier in surprise. 

Aunt Cordelia eyed him from head to toe and let out a small laugh, “Well, her, you, Miss Sinclair and that new roommate of hers. So thank you, Xavier.” 

 His eyebrows rose up in surprise. For as long as he had known your aunt, Xavier couldn’t remember the last time she had actually thanked someone. Witches’ pride or something like that. 

 “I must go,” she said sharply before Xavier could add anything. “Take care of my niece Xavier.”

“I will,” he assured. 

She offered him a thin smile before rummaging in her hand bag, “Oh one second, here,” she said, handing him a small vial, “as a thanks.”

“What is this?” he frowned. 

“It’ll help to get the last petals out,” she explained and let out a small snort at Xavier’s expression painted in surprise. “You must be in the end of the healing process now, according to the petals you cough.”

“How did you…?”

“Oh honey, you’re not half subtle as you think you are,” she said with a sweet voice, before turning serious again, “At least I can content myself at the thought you had a taste of what she went through for you.” Xavier’s wince made her brush away her last bitter comment with a vague gesture of her hand. “But you’re healing; the more she remembers how much she loves you, the more you heal. Knowing her,” she said, casting one last fond look at your figure downstairs, “it won’t be long.” 

 With that, she disappeared to a nearby corridor. For a few seconds Xavier stood on his spot in astonishment, but then chuckled at your aunt’s antics. Grabbing his backpack he walked down the stairs, where he saw you talking with Wednesday from afar. He couldn’t hear what you were saying but you both seemed cordial to each other. You even handed her a wrapped box, giving her a phone. Wednesday didn’t hug you, but a tiny smile definitely crept on her face before she turned and walked away sharply. Taking this as his cue, Xavier strolled next to you, sliding an arm around your waist and dropping a kiss on your forehead when he came by your side. 

 “Hey,” he said softly, “you’re good?”

Smiling at him you nodded, “Yep. I think that Wednesday and I needed to bury the war hatchet.”

“Did it work?” 

“She did try to kill Crackstone to save us,” you admitted. “And she apologized, the counts are even. And maybe I’ll miss my creepy roommate after all,” you added with a playful nudge on his side. 

 Xavier let out a laugh, and the two of you made your way to the school’s gates. While you packed your bags in the trunk of the car Xavier’s dad had sent for the two of you, you stopped for an instant and looked back at the school. It had become your house over the years, but more importantly it had brought you a sense of normality even among werewolves, sirens and vampires. It has brought you friends, and so much more. 

 You felt Xavier’s hand sliding into yours. 

 “You okay?” he asked softly. 

 Looking up at him, you gazed deeply into his brown eyes. This, this place, this moment, was what made everything click altogether, and all the things that have seemed fuzzy fall into place. 

 “I love you,” you breathed out. 

 The grin on Xavier’s face was everything. 

 “I love you too sweetheart,” he said before kissing you softly. 

 The annoyed honk from the car made you pull away a few seconds later, giggling like kids and you tugged on Xavier’s hand to the vehicle. In your newfound euphoria, you missed the faint cough coming from him, but it didn’t matter. As the car led the both of you away from the school, the last petal Xavier would ever cough laid on the cobblestone of Nevermore.

A/N: Aaaand there it is! The last part of the fic finally out! :DD I hope you enjoyed it and that the ending didn’t disappointed you too much! 

I really want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you, finishing a fic is always like a sort of sad goodbye and I swear I’m crying a little by writting those words. 

I loved writting every parts, but more than that I loved exchanging and talking with you about it, whether for crack thoughts, or theories! You were incredible and the kindest readers I could ever ask for, so thanks a billion time for your support and you kindness! (especially your tolerance for my crappy English, it’s the first time I’m cristing something this long in such a short time, in a language which isn’t my mother tongue!)

reasons why lorne is queer coded and why I am confused no one talks about the gay icon that he is

he is a stereotypical effeminate gay man down to the voice (i hate that you know the one, but you know the one). he likes glitz and glam and showbiz and female celebrities and parties and pop culture and mimosas and nice clothes and just behaves the way gay men are stereotypically shown/seen to behave (especially in early 2000s media) so um yeah that’s straight up the definition of queer coding but THERES MORE SO IM CONTINUING

his innate passion for music is used as a clear allegory for being different, and by extension sexuality and gender. he was shunned for his unique interest in music by his family and culture, and hated for being different by everyone in pylea despite it being something he couldn’t seem to control. when he comes to earth, he is able to be himself and pursue his passions, and sees pylea and his family environment as literal hell. the culture in pylea is based around conformity and obedience and is run by a shady religious group, so him breaking free from that environment is super relatable for queer people who grew up in religious / anti-lgbt homes

caritas is most definitely a metaphor for a queer safe space / gay bar. there is no violence allowed, humans and demons exist there in peace with each other, and he created it personally from the ground up to provide a space for others like him who are different and might not want to go / be able to go to “normal” or human bars. oh and also there’s a club shooting scene where, despite most of the demons there being peaceful, the shooters are a, afraid of them and b, in this specific case, enjoy hunting and terrorising them for sport because they hate them so much. so. yeah that TOTALLY doesn’t reflect real life queer history and current events not at ALL

the women in the deathwok clan look like bearded men. lorne makes a few comments about cordelia’s beauty and availability as well as some pylean women from the past, but we know that the concept of gender and womanhood is different in pylea. so even if he is attracted to women, his experience of gender and gendered attraction is undeniably queer by human standards regardless

he clearly has a casual thing for angel. like he knows that man is gorgeous but he also knows that angel is in love with like fifteen different people throughout the series and he is just not about that drama

he uses affectionate pet names for everyone, especially angel, ALL THE TIME like honey, baby, muffin, sweetcheeks, angel-cakes etc

he fulfils the gay best friend stereotype very often in the role he plays in episodes, often furthering others’ arcs and the plots of episodes while providing sassy quirky advice and having no personal character growth. bad trope that I do not like but it’s true

he is a kind sweet mum friend and a sassy gay wine aunt at the same time and I love that for him

EDIT I realised this on rewatch recently, I had forgotten there is a scene where just straight up shamelessly asks angel out on a date to a concert. so.

basically I have a lot of feelings about him and I simultaneously relate to him and want him to be my mum and he is a very very special boy who deserves all the love in the world!!! so!!! lorne says happy pride month!!!!

edit: everyone in the tags and comments saying it is obvious you are completely true and correct!! which is why idk why no one talks about him!!!!! I just wanted to put my thoughts into words so here it is
