Research has shown English does "it" pronouns for bas. Consistent with other non-binary people in the saga such as Bel. Spanish on its part is doing its very best to avoid pronouns but ba has been designated a male noun. "Un ba/el ba" and not "una ba/la ba".

re: your tags about Layton characters being associated with certain fear powers, I’ve put a bit of thought into it myself but my list is nowhere near complete, just going with the easier ones.

Layton: The Eye

Luke: really torn but I wanna say The Lonely, esp cause of LS. but it’s really hard to place him under any one thing, the Eye could probably also qualify

Don Paolo: now idk if he’s at all aware of it but he has to be at least partially Stranger aligned because have you seen the fucking disguises he pulls off. I’d be paranoid everyone was actually secretly Don Paolo after the first two times it happened
