Show him a little bit of affection, and I just sort of say-- [I Just Want to Know You're Taken Care Of plays softly in the background] Callie (Emily): Foster, I'm… I'm-- I'm sorry. Murph: You see, looks at you quizzically. Callie: I've-- I've been really guarded, I know, and you've shown me nothing but kindness, and I think just… understand that like, I'm capable of really big love. And that gets complicated when other people can't meet you at that intensity. So I think I'm a bit protective of myself, and can be somewhat stingy with my love, and I'm sorry for doing that to you. And I'm gonna try to be a bit better about that. Emily: And then I, um, I hug him, and I give him a little kiss. [Caldwell 'aw's, then laughs.] Murph: As you give Foster a little kiss, as you sort of accept him and acknowledge him-- he meets your gaze, and you see his eyes begin to turn red again. [Emily makes a shocked noise] Murph: Go ahead and give me a wisdom saving throw, or you can just let this happen. It's up to you. Emily: Oh, I lit-- I literally am just like, I'm trying to be braver in the face of intimacy, so I think I just [sighs] remember when I was young and I loved for the sake of love and I just love him. And I let it happen.

historically jordancon has been a venue for casting announcements - we got aviendha in 2022 and several s2 secondary characters in 2023. do you think we'll get any s3 casting announcements this year (april)? if so, who? my money is on faile, galad*, and GAWYN PLEASE GOD TELL ME WHO'S PLAYING HIM IN APRIL I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE

ahem anyway. my reasoning is that those 3 are in the same bucket as aviendha was in 2022. it's too far away from the new season's release to discuss anything substantial about the season's content or to formally announce the casting of older/better-known actors whose announcements could be saved to help marketing closer to the season's release (i'd put elaida & morgase in this bucket for s3, with the equivalent being verin for s2; and then forsaken castings i'd bet they want to keep secret as long as they can), but the castings of younger/lesser-known actors as major book characters would be a great New Season Treat to drop this early and in this book-fan venue. general audiences wouldn't care much about a few 27-year-old actors they've never heard of being cast as characters whose names don't yet mean anything to them, but book fans would be very excited about it! and that is why i'm putting on my clown shoes and hoping for gawyn casting news in april (or sooner if the leakers take pity on me).

*we do already know faile & galad casting from leaks, but i'm talking official announcements here!

I'm afraid that at some point, with a big camera in front of me, I'll be asked what my favourite movie is and have to admit it's The Devil Wears Prada, and then have a bunch of cinephiles telling me that the only good thing out there is Tarantino and criticize me for it. But it's the truth, it's iconic to this day. I know Meryl Streep doesn't do sequels, but how about a sequel featuring Andrea and Emily? That would work for me. ( @xoemilyblunt )

Its interesting because i didnt read in elody that she was offended when gerard said she inspired him. I read it as just a sea of conflicting emotions- the anger that she has, the grief of his death, the knowledge that apparently the most important thing she did was love a frog, the memory of the struggles she went through that are….insignificant? To the world? To the fairies? Everything that she worked for is now thrown away, back in a different life.

And then Gerard saying that she inspires him, that because she did these things afterwards, that she was a great queen to her kingdom, she inspired him to be better. That the things she did mattered in some way, even if only to him.
