Its interesting because i didnt read in elody that she was offended when gerard said she inspired him. I read it as just a sea of conflicting emotions- the anger that she has, the grief of his death, the knowledge that apparently the most important thing she did was love a frog, the memory of the struggles she went through that are….insignificant? To the world? To the fairies? Everything that she worked for is now thrown away, back in a different life.

And then Gerard saying that she inspires him, that because she did these things afterwards, that she was a great queen to her kingdom, she inspired him to be better. That the things she did mattered in some way, even if only to him.
