since I've seen your post about complaints about mcsm characters writing I have a question what's your thoughts on Jesse character writing in game?

Oh btw I'm in love with your champion Jesse au it's everything I wanted from the game and your writing is amazing i can't wait for more

actually i’m quite ok with jesse’s! he’s determined, capable, will drop sass when deserved and is also just a silly guy!! his personality shines through no matter what option you pick and ofc outside of those options as well- i think they did good for a protagonist whose story and dialogue delivery can vary so much from player to player. like everyone has a different version of jesse they perceive but the core character traits are still very much there. is this anything

i think the only thing is that he doesn't have much opportunity to be the one that needs comforting, it's always the other way round. i mean, all that responsibility and experiences has gotta weigh heavy on him. so i just turned that to him keeping it to himself so others don't worry and can still rely on him. yay angst!

From what he’d gathered at the meeting, Lindi seemed helpful, explaining the guidelines for navigating the island. Being new, he appreciated having some structure to follow. He decided to check out the warehouse, since he hadn’t been to that part of the island yet. As he walked, he spotted someone up ahead and instinctively quickened his pace. “Hi,” he called out, waving. Despite his usual confidence in talking to people, a nervous edge crept in.

As he got closer, the face became familiar. "I don’t think we’ve met yet. I’m Elliot---," he introduced himself. Oh my god, it was the person that was sitting next to him when the horror of the rocks hit. ugh . Well now he wasn't sure what to say. Did he cause it? oh boy, um. "I'm.... are you..." he was stumbling over his words. "are you okay?"

jesse leans back against the worn-down couch, one leg bouncing restlessly against the ragged carpet like he's trying to burn whatever's left in his system. (truth is, he kind of is.) the cheap motel room reeks of cigarettes and stale air, but it's not like he notices anymore. these rooms are dime a dozen when it comes to deals. (or sex, or a late night bender — pick your poison.) his fingers fiddle with the plastic ziplock baggie in his pocket, not taking it out yet.

"yeah, no shit. therapy's a scam anyway," his voice cuts through the silence, sharp and uneven. "they don't know jack about what's in your head, just like to pretend to." jesse exhales a bitter laugh through his nose, shaking his head. he'd tried it once — court-ordered, not voluntarily. sat there for sixty-minutes, spilled his guts to some dude with a clipboard, and watched as he nodded at the end. (like that's supposed to fix anything.) "but, like... i don't think it's the tricks that don't work. maybe it's just..."

as he looks at mia, his gaze becomes sharper than usual — not mean, more like he's thinking. (genuinely considering the pathing of his next choice of words.) "maybe it's 'cause you know the tricks, and you already decided they won't work." he drags a hand over his face, rubbing at the shadow of stubble along his jaw. his voice softens, almost hesitant. "maybe it's not about the tricks, you know? maybe it's about... letting someone actually see the mess, even when it's ugly as hell. and, uh... that's hard, yo. maybe harder than quitting."

(maybe that's why people like us don't do it.)

Emma was curled up in her armchair, deep in her book when the smell of something burning pulled her back to reality. She looked around; the candle she had lit hadn't increased in flame and magically jumped to her curtains. No, the smell wasn't coming from her place at all. She looked up toward the vent, realizing that the smell was coming from her neighbors place. Grabbing her bookmark, she saved her place and went to the door, slipping into her flats before pocketing her keys and phone and heading out of her place and the few steps down the hall.

As she got closer to their door, the smell grew stronger and her nose wrinkled slightly before she knocked on the door. When it was pulled open, their frazzled demeanor was clear. "Uh hi, sorry to bother. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay, I could uh- smell your cooking from my place." she explained, running a hand through her short dark locks.
