i think sacred music in the kryn dynasty would be very cyclical and repetitive in form to symbolize the idea that life is a continuous thing (at least those who are consecuted right right) and is a cycle across lifetimes and yeah

I forgot how much I absolutely loathe the job search market. I’ve put in like 7 or 8 applications and I’m sitting here gnawing on my teeth like please let at least one of them get back to me with an interview and a pay that can still take care of my bills
Two of them are remote jobs so they’d be AWESOME but I have to wait to see what happens and it’s NERVE-WRACKING

finally reading dance of days (thank you ohiolink and oberlin college <3) but my most consistent takeaway thus far. is oh my god. people who think punk is primarily ideological and not subcultural/musical. are so out of touch.

what is your take on doomerism for someone with palestinian family?
as i hope i made clear, i think there's a difference between doomerism (pessimism about the world that refuses to acknowledge even neutral or good things exist, and folding everything into a "nothing can ever get better and nothing matters" kind of narrative) and being scared/upset/angry about specific issues. i don't think anybody horrified by what's happening in gaza right now is a doomer because of their reaction to it, much less anyone with family there.
