do you guys ever get emotional about the fact that someone (a character) is Out There, Somewhere. like it's ok that i don't even know them but it makes me happy to think about the fact that this person's in the same reality as me (again, in this case). Like whether in a kintype situation or a fictive or some combination or whatever. They're Out There and i hope to god happy. maybe they even have friends from the same source and they found each other again. Shout out to You for existing wherever you are

Hey guys! I don't know if anyone noticed this about The Owl House, but Luz, Amity, Willow, Hunter, and Gus had matching tattoos of Flapjack!! And like, it's so cute. I love it. Definitely didn't start crying again when I noticed that.

Edit: Thank you guys for pointing out that Gus's tattoo was on his ankle! I probably wouldn't have found it on my own, heh.

Mine is hugs.

I can't get enough of drawing hugs. I know I sound so cheesy and cringy when I say this but literally I am in my happiest state when I'm drawing a good hug.

today I'm thinking about a borrower who thinks they're sneaky and spends time hanging out with a family in places they think they can't be seen. The family is super chill and all just goes, oh a new fam member that's really shy!! I don't wanna spook them :)

And one day the tiny is stealing borrowing food and falls, hurting themself pretty badly. They're still functional, but if someone were to look at them, it'd be very obvious they were injured. So they go back to their normal schedule of sitting just behind things on shelves and hanging out when one day the parental figure is like, oh dude, you don't look so good, what happened? and the tiny is like nah they're clearly talking to someone else despite there being literally no one else here rn.

Then the parent moves the thing in front of them and goes, you awake kid? straight to the tiny's face. cue confusion n fear.

other ideas: the humans have been fairly obviously reacting to the tiny but denial is a river in Egypt /ref and so they always brush it off. Things like tiny falls asleep on a shelf and wakes up a shelf down in the bean's scarf and goes oh damn guess I sleep walk lol

I was actually a bit curious, any tips for making things look like the OVA colorwise? You did a fantastic job with that pt6 OVA piece, any magical secrets to share? 😅

Here are some notes off the top of my head. Hope it helps!

At the end of the day, however, the appeal of OVA and Pilot fanart is seeing popular characters with slightly different personalities or clothes, so don't let my notes or the show hold your creativity back!

Half the fun is redesigning them in a more gothic/grungy style so don't forget to experiment too!

ok ok ok so i heard you're possibly working on tmab (yippie!!) and i have the bestest idea for when like mars is comfortable and friends with all of them (especially spencer). so like i saw this picture on pinterest and it made me think about spencer teaching mars how to play chess. cause he has this mini chess thing which he plays which i think is the perfect size for her to be able to see and play the game. anyways,,, just a thought :)))

bonus: the host of the show walks off but the tiny is like. hm no, that's my friend now. All the rest of the documentary has the little guy somewhere in frame.

Imagine you're a Tiny, right? And you're walking around in the forest or something, until you feel the earth rumble around you and you suddenly get yoinked by a Giant. You get lifted up, and you see that there are multiple Giants around. You're expecting the worst, until the Giant just starts talking about basic Tiny biology and stuff into a camera and says things like how you're a "gorgeous find" and how they "weren't expecting to run into one so soon", and then they just put you on the ground and move on.

You're in a nature documentary.

anon, what is it YOU love? i love my bisque dolls and my Precious Moments collection and vintage books and old computers and I love picking things up off the road and finding textures and I love when I go to the thrift store and see a whole collection of things that I'm sure is because someone who loved those things passed away and now those things will be scattered and loved separately, in new homes. i love finding papers with random notes on them that will never mean anything to me. i love collecting mugs and teacups and teapot imagery even though I can't stand the taste of tea or coffee. i love tearing apart old things to make collages, repurposing junk mail into something beautiful. our bodies are collages too, of bone and sinew and genes from our families whom we might love and might hate and usually it's somewhere in between. scars and marks and tattoos collected, some voluntary some not, all new things stuck onto the canvas of our bodies. i love when someone talks for hours about things I have no personal interest in, and I love when someone has an interest that opens my eyes to new beauties in the world. when I was still talking to that friend, the one who loved teeth, I sneakily took pictures of my x-ray during my dentist appointment and sent those pictures to them. i still think about them every six months when I have an appointment and how they saw the beauty in the mundane and grotesque. people who love things change your world. permanently.

I should've made this post a week ago, but I just procrastinated, ha. I'm taking a break from art for a while, I'm just going through a bit of burnout. I'll probably be back in a month or two? Maybe, I don't know.
