Marvel on The Masked Singer

This is just a little thingy for me because I’ve been rewatching episodes. Imagine if he was on the Masked Singer? His vocal range would be crazy because I say so. He’d sing an Elvis song one week, and then a Megan Trainor song the week after that. Basically a different genre each week. Also, Mary would be the one picking the songs. She also picked the costume he wore.

The Person who Gives the Singers their Costumes: “Here we are! Take your pick.”

Mary: “We’ll take that one.” *points to a pig costume* (SHAZHAM (🐷) REFERENCE!!!)

Marvel: “But that one’s ugly.”

Mary: “So? It provides more mobility. You’re going to pick that one.”

Marvel: “But, again, it’s ugly.”

Mary: *puts hand up* “I’m sorry, but last time I checked, have you ever participated in a competition like this?”

Marvel: “Well, no, but—”

Mary: “That’s what I thought. We’ll take that one.” *points again to the costume again*

The Person who Gives the Singers their Costumes: *looks to Marvel*

Marvel: *nods head* “She’s uh… She’s the boss.” *sounds intimated*

The Person who Gives the Singers their Costumes: “Uhm…” *looks between the two* “Alright then.” *walks away to a couple other people so they could wheel the costume out, a little baffled they just watched a teenage girl intimidate a grown man*

Marvel: *looks to Mary* “You’re a little bit too into this, you know that?”

Mary: “Shush. Let me be excited! If you’re going to do this, you’re going to do this to your fullest potential!”

Marvel: *happy to see her having fun with the whole thing* “Yes ma’am.”

The choreography would go crazy too. Like Mary said, he was going to do it to his fullest potential. She’s making him learn how to dance in sync with other dancers all that. One of the only reasons he isn’t completely struggling is that a couple past Champions were dancers, ritual performers/dancers, and so on. As for if he’d win? Maybe. All I know is that absolutely no one guessed him.

Crowd and Judges: “Take off the mask! Take off the mask! Take off the mask!”

Marvel: *takes off the mask*

Show Host: *jaw drop*

Crowd: *jaws drop*

Judges: *jaws drop*

Literally any leaguer whose watching the show: *jaws drop*

Show Host: “Superhero, Captain Marvel???”

Marvel: *little wave*

Show Host: “The winner of Masked Singer season X! Congratulations, you were amazing. Now what brought you to the show?” *hands Marvel a mic*

Marvel: “Uuuh… so I came on the show cause Junior dared me. Uhm I honestly didn’t expect to win.” *gives a thumbs up* “Was super fun though.”

Show Host: “Well that’s amazing!”

And so, Marvel goes home with the trophy. Freddy suggests they melt it down and sell it before Mary tells them it probably isn’t real gold.

The next day at the Watchtower…

Marvel: *Zetas in*

Flash: *zooms over, pointing* “You!”

Marvel: “Me.” *looks around* “Something wrong, Flash?”

Flash: “Yes! You can sing?!”

Marvel: “Oh, uh… You heard about that?”

Flash: “Everyone’s heard about it!”

Marvel: “Oh.”

Flash: “Yeah, ‘oh.’”

*silence*

Flash: “We’re marathoning all the entire season.”

Marvel: “WHAT?”

Our first place goes to Sylveon, being a eeveelution and trans flag colored, I knew from the beginning it would be going far in this poll. Congrats to our winner!

Our second place goes to Minior! Minor was a surprise for me to make it this far but now it's my favorite. Having only lost to Sylveon with less than 1%, it definitely deserves it's second place. Congrats Minior!

daniela jumped out of her bed almost immediately after seeing keeho's tweet, groaning as she hit the ground. she couldn’t believe that she forgot about one of the most important days of her life. she laid on the ground a bit more before she remembered that the assembly would start in ten minutes, the girl getting up on her feet and running to the bathroom.

she basically had no time to get ready, so she brushed her teeth and did a shortened version of her hair routine leaving her natural curls out. daniela knew she was so fucked from the minute she left the house, her time dwindled as she got in her car and drove to the school. she was unfortunately met by traffic, the sight irritating her as she honked her horn getting annoyed glances from those on the road around her. finally, the light turned green and daniela pulled into her school’s parking lot getting out the minute she put her car into park.

daniela grabbed her bag, and started speed walking to the auditorium where the assembly was being held. (she would’ve ran but she liked how her hair looked that morning.) the girl sighing as she opened the door, noticing they hadn’t started anything yet. daniela quickly took a seat next to keeho, megan and seunghan the three waving to her once she sat down.

“this is why i told you to set an alarm dani..” megan says, making her curly-haired friend glare at her.

“i do have an alarm, i just sleep through it.” daniela states firmly, her tone becoming quieter at the end of her sentence.

megan laughs at her friend before averting her attention to the person hosting. she recognized it to be one of the organizers for the festival, the woman being rather tall waved to her audience.

“good morning!” tzuyu spoke, her loud voice over the mic making everyone turn their attention to her.

“i know everyone is anticipating the announcement of who will be participating in this years arts festival, and i am very excited to deliver that news to you.” tzuyu says, the crowd clapping once she got done speaking.

meanwhile, y/n and her friends were making sure the girl didn’t stare for too long at daniela. the way her hair looked that morning had y/n dying, daniela looked so good.

“why is y/n more focused on daniela than her future right now..” jungwon whispers to hanni, said girl shrugging.

“with how stressed she was earlier, you think she’d be paying attention..” hanni replies, jungwon nodding.

tzuyu received a paper, causing her to speak up to get everyone’s attention.

“hello!” she says, the audience all turning towards her.

“we have our four candidates now selected, on this paper.” tzuyu announces.

the girl flipped over the paper, smiling as she read the winners.

“i’d like to congratulate y/n l/n and daniela avanzini, congrats you two!” tzuyu says, causing the audience to erupt into applause and cheering.

jungwon and hanni stood up and hugged y/n, the latter not even paying attention to the fact that she got chosen but to who else got chosen.

“daniela..?” y/n starts mumbling, “she’s really my partner for the festival?!” y/n says, making her friends glare at her.

"you just got one of the most important opportunities of your life and you're worried about daniela right now." jungwon deadpans, hanni sighing to his right.

"and?"

Congrats to Kurosawa for winning Greenest Flag in a BL Season 2!!!

And so our second rematch bracket has come to a close! This was the most characters I've had submitted to a bracket before (and probably the most submissions as well lol) which lead to a massive prelim round that was incredibly competitive (in case anyone was wondering, a character needed to have at least 37% more "yes" votes than "no" votes in order to make it in) (compared to poorest little meow meow which was -15%, least rizz which was 3.1%, msot unhinged was 15.8%, and #1 himbo was 6.1%) (so yes MUCH higher bar to pass through prelims this time)

Anyways, I want to give a special congratulations to Kurosawa from Cherry Magic for winning this season against such difficult competition! He actually came in second place in the first season, so it was fitting for him to win this time!

Though of course, his competition in the final round this time (and winner of the loser bracket) was a very special character to him....

That's right! Himself! Karan from Cherry Magic Thailand took the second place crown. In case you're not aware, Karan is the equivalent character to Kurosawa in the Thai adaptation of Cherry Magic, meaning that the only person that Karan lost to was a different version of himself! Truly cementing this character as one of the greenest flags out there!

Thank you to everyone who participated and bared with me as I struggled to maintain a posting schedule! We will be having our Ultimate Green Flag Battle with our winners from both seasons going on now, as well as the poll for the next bracket topic! Hope to see y'all then!

After a gruelling six months, we're pleased to finally announce to you this year's winners of the 2024 Kirby OC Tournament!

We'll start with the results from the Second Chance Brackets. This event was hosted to allow those who were voted out within the first three rounds of the mainline tournament to participate for a little longer, and featured high-speed 3VS match-ups.

The grand final of the Second Chance Brackets pitted Noir Fontaine (of @desultory-novice), the long-suffering swordsman, against Rope MF (of @mint-termsandconditions), that one guy who really really likes ropes. Both contestants produced an incredible, ongoing series of finale propagandas bouncing off the strengths of both characters, combining both lore and comedy, comics, and even animations!

Their poll, ✦ THERE ARE NO STRINGS ON ME ✦ concluded with one singular vote of difference. This polled in favour of:

WINNER: Rope MF with 50.3% of votes!

Congratulations to Rope MF!! This was an incredibly tight race until the very end, with Noir claiming a lead for multiple updates right up until the last moment, with a surprise victory for Rope MF!

Moving on to the Mainline Tournament. After six months of intense 1 on 1 competition, our grand finalists emerged as Valfrey (of @gethoce), the butterfly samurai who created suns at the beginning of the universe, and starstruck dee (of @starflungwaddledee), a palmful of waddle dee who is definitely very normal.

Despite their differences of vibe, both characters are beloved by the community, within the tournament and out, and their creators have told consistent tales throughout the course of the event. Valfrey in particular has spent her time doing everyone a great service by handling one specific menace, a story that carried through into her propaganda until the very end, while starstruck found herself rather lost en route.

None the less, as we don't technically require contestants to be on the tournament grounds to compete, their poll ✦ FOR THE SUN ✦ ran as normal! The results are:

WINNER: starstruck dee with 54% of votes!

For this poll in particular, we have an additional graph to show the full week of movement!

Despite a slow start, starstruck dee pulled into a tie, and then into a lead that she maintained up until voting closed. Congratulations starstruck dee!! Propaganda and campaigning made an incredibly noticeable impact on this poll, with every post from each competitor and their supporters resulting in an instant uptick of attention for their character on the poll!

Congratulations to the winners, and also to their opponents. To be among the final four of a roster that was just shy of 150 characters is an incredible achievement!

Our final wrap-up for the tournament and this blog will be posted within the next week or so.

Our first submission and one of the works that won over our Mumscarian hearts </3 (after wrangling it around with angst for a few scenes /j). A mix of Minecraft mechanics and PJO mechanics is always fun! You fused them really well with such a nice pacing. The use of Scar's abnormal origins was a good touch to provide solutions to the conflict. Exciting writing as always :D

It had always been just a game by Linny Heartwrenching, but captures well the realistic losses demigods would inevitably go through in a mythological world as teenagers. Gruesome, but filled with love for your ships' dynamics. Very good work :]

The South Park Favorite Character Bracket final round is OVER!
