MASTERLIST - F1
Tumblr media
The roar of the engines was a constant lullaby in the Formula 1 paddock, a song that vibrated through your very bones. You loved it here, the controlled chaos, the palpable energy, the feeling of being part of something larger than yourself.
Your focus, however, was often drawn to a specific corner of the Ferrari garage – where Carlos Sainz, with his disarming smile and effortless charm, held court.
You and Carlos were friends for a long time. You found him incredibly easy to talk to, his enthusiasm infectious. You liked Carlos, perhaps more than you should.
But there was also a barrier, subtle but ever-present, that you yourself had erected. It was a secret you carried, one that gnawed at you with each passing day: you spoke fluent Spanish, his native tongue.
You hadn't always been this secretive. Back in school, Spanish had been your favorite subject, a fascination with the language and culture that had blossomed into fluency. There was a time when you'd have proudly displayed your linguistic prowess, but a few harsh critiques in a university language class, comments that chipped away at your confidence, had left you hesitant.
Now, you kept your Spanish a closely guarded secret, especially in the presence of Carlos. The thought of him, a native speaker, judging your accent or vocabulary was enough to send shivers of anxiety down your spine.
This particular afternoon, you were tucked away in the hospitality area, a small respite from the frenetic pace of the paddock. Charles Leclerc, Carlos’s teammate and another friend, was perched opposite you, nursing a bottle of water.
He was in a lighter mood after a good practice session and was keen for a diversion.
“So,” he said, his French accent thick, “teach me some more Spanish. The last phrase you taught me was very… useful.” He grinned mischievously, a glint in his eye.
You laughed, remembering the rather informal phrase you had taught him the previous day. “Okay, okay,” you said, pulling out your notebook. “Let’s try something a little less… provocative.”
You flipped to a fresh page. “How about ‘Es un placer conocerte’ – ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you’?”
You broke it down for him, pronunciation and all, your voice a soft murmur that was just audible above the ambient noise. He repeated the phrase several times, his brow furrowed in concentration until he finally managed something that was, while not perfect, definitely understandable.
“Magnifique!” you exclaimed, giving him an approving nod. He grinned, pleased with his progress, and began repeating the phrase to himself, practicing the rhythm and inflection.
Just as he did, a familiar voice spoke behind you. “Que estan haciendo ustedes?”
You froze, a chilling feeling spreading from the base of your neck. It was Carlos, standing in the doorway, a curious smile playing on his lips.
The Spanish he’d spoken was casual, his words rolling off his tongue as naturally as breathing. What are you guys doing?
A wave of panic washed over you. It was close, too close. He had heard you speaking Spanish, even if it was with Charles. Your secret, the one you had painstakingly guarded, was on the verge of unraveling.
Charles, completely oblivious to the tension thrumming in the air, turned to face Carlos, his face beaming. “‘Es un placer conocerte,’” he announced proudly, his accent thick but understandable.
You cringed internally. Oh no, Charles, no.
Carlos raised an eyebrow, his gaze shifting from Charles to you, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Ah, I see. You're teaching Charles Spanish?"
You forced a smile, trying to appear casual. "Kind of," you said, your voice a little too high-pitched for your liking. "Just a few simple phrases for fun." You did not want to admit you'd been teaching him the basics.
Carlos crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe as he observed you and Charles. “Well, that’s good,” he said, his Spanish accent taking over his English slightly. “It’s always good to learn new languages.” He was still looking at you, a playful glint in his eyes that made your heart pound.
You nodded, avoiding his gaze. “Yeah, absolutely.” You picked up your notebook and began flipping through it, pretending to be engrossed with your notes as if you didn’t already know every word you'd already written.
"What else have you taught him?" Carlos asked, stepping further into the room.
You tensed, your heart thumping wildly. “Oh, just basic stuff,” you said, your voice tight. You could feel the heat rising in your cheeks, and you wanted nothing more than to disappear. “You know, ‘hello,’ ‘goodbye,’ that sort of thing.” You hoped he didn’t see through your act.
Charles, bless his oblivious soul, was happily repeating the phrase he had learnt until it was as close to perfect as it could be. Carlos watched him, but his eyes were still on you.
He knew you were lying. He’d spoken to you in the past in Spanish and you had responded without so much as blinking. Why were you being like this?
“You sure?” he asked, a smirk dancing on his lips. He could see the panic in your eyes and the way your hands were clutching your notebook like a lifeline.
He looked at Charles again, and then back to you. “You speak a little Spanish?”
"No, I don't," you said quickly, a little too quickly. Your voice was far too high pitched. You hoped he didn't hear the fear that was leaking in your tone.
Carlos seemed to hesitate, his eyes scrutinizing yours for a moment longer. A subtle shift in his expression told you he knew you were lying, but he said nothing.
"Okay," he said finally, his tone still amused. "If you say so." He patted Charles on the shoulder. “Enjoy your lesson, Charles,” he said before turning and heading out of the room.
You breathed out the breath you didn’t realize you were holding. It had been too close. You watched him leave, your heart still beating fast. You were acutely aware that you needed to be more careful.
One more slip up like that and your secret wouldn’t be a secret anymore. You knew you should tell him, but your fear of not being good enough held you back.
Later that evening, while you were trying to text, a message popped up on your phone. It was from Carlos.
“Hey, you okay? You seemed a little… agitated earlier.”
You stared at the message, your mind swirling. He had noticed. Of course, he had. He was observant, perceptive. You hesitated before typing a response.
“Yeah, all good. Just a bit tired.”
He replied almost instantly. “Tired? Or hiding something? Maybe a secret language?”
You felt a jolt run through you. He was teasing you, playfully pushing at the edges of your lie. You took a deep breath and decided to deflect.
“Nah, just a very complicated article on tire degradation. Don’t let me keep you, you probably have more important things to do!”
A few seconds later, Carlos responded; “I always have time for you. By the way, you should try speaking more Spanish. It suits you.” He included a winking emoji in the text, leaving you completely frozen.
How did he know? You hadn’t said a single word in Spanish to him, apart from earlier when it was directed at Charles. He was definitely onto you.
Your heart started pounding in your chest. You didn’t know what to do. You finally replied with a simple “Night, Carlos” message and put your phone down.
You knew that sooner or later, you would have to face the truth. You liked Carlos, and you didn’t want to keep secrets from him. But the thought of that vulnerability, the risk of judgment, still held you captive.
You hoped one day you’d find enough courage to reveal your secret, to let Carlos in completely. But for now, you would keep your language locked behind a wall of fear, hoping that the wall would come tumbling down one day.
But for now, you had to keep up with the charade, and try not to let him see you were lying about knowing his native language.
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
The leather armchair cradles you like a familiar friend. Sunlight, filtered through the lace curtains, dances across the spines of Carlos’s bookshelves, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
You’re in his living room, a space that feels as comfortable as your own, except for the subtle undercurrent of nervous energy that always seems to hum beneath your skin when you’re here.
Carlos, with his easy laugh and eyes that crinkle at the corners when he smiles, is the source of that familiar flutter in your chest.
He's gone to the market, a quick errand for the missing ingredient – ricotta cheese, if your shoddy Spanish comprehension served you correctly – needed for his legendary fluffy pancakes.
He'd called them “panqueques esponjosos” and the way his tongue rolled over the words had made your heart do a little tap dance.
You trace the rim of your teacup with your finger, the quiet ticking of the grandfather clock in the hallway the only sound. You pull your phone from your pocket, a small smile playing on your lips.
A message from Sofia, a friend from Spain pops up. You haven't seen her since the end of your vacation and you miss her friendly banter. You hadn’t told her that you knew Carlos at first. She was thrilled when you had finally spoken about him and also excited the day you finally felt comfortable enough to speak Spanish to her.
You dial her number.
"Hola, mi amiga!" Sofia's voice crackles through the speaker, warm and vibrant as always.
"Hola, Sofia! Como estas?" you reply, feeling the familiar comfort of the language wash over you. The words flow easily, a melody you've secretly nurtured for months.
You and Sofia slip into a comfortable rhythm, gossiping about mutual friends, discussing the latest drama in her life, and laughing about inside jokes from class. You tell her about how you’ve been spending a lot of time with Carlos recently, describing the comfortable silence that settles between you, the way he always offers you the first cup of tea, and the lingering glances that sometimes catch you off guard.
She’s always encouraged you to take the leap with Carlos, but you've always been too afraid of ruining the comfortable friendship you had.
"¿Y qué tal, el chico que te gusta? ¿Como va con Carlos?" Sofia asks, her voice teasing. And how about the boy you like? How is it going with Carlos?
"He's...he's good," you stumble, a flush rising to your cheeks even though Sofia can't see you. "He's making pancakes later." You hope it doesn’t sound as silly as it feels.
You are so aware of your own internal dialogue.
"Ooh, panqueques! Sounds romantic," Sofia giggles. “Maybe he will be speaking Spanish to you soon” she winks, she is completely aware that he doesn’t know you can speak Spanish.
You have not told her about the pet name he has given you.
"Don't be silly," you say, though a small part of you desperately wishes she were right. "He calls me a few names, it's kinda silly,"
Sofia chuckles, “he likes names?"
"Yeah, Cariño." you say quietly. It’s a term of endearment that sits in your chest like a warm coal, always threatening to ignite a fire. you feel your cheeks burn a deeper shade of pink.
"Ay, ay, ay! Cariño! That means 'darling'! He definitely likes you," Sofia says, her voice filled with excitement.
You laugh, trying to downplay the significance. "It's just a word, Sofia." Even as you say the words you know it isn’t true.
You adore the way he says it, the way his voice softens slightly when he addresses you as ‘cariño’. It feels intimate, a secret language woven into your friendship.
"No, amiga, it's not just a word. It's a feeling," Sofia counters, her voice knowing.
You are about to reply when you hear a thud. A bag, probably groceries, hits the floor with a soft, muffled sound. You turn, your heart leaping into your throat, to see Carlos standing in the doorway, his eyes wide with surprise.
His face, usually so open and inviting, is frozen in a state of shock. A second later he looks hurt.
His gaze is focused on you and he's holding the bag of groceries precariously in his hand as if he's forgotten that it is there. There's a strange mix of bewilderment and something else – hurt, maybe? – flickering in his eyes.
He stares at you, mouth slightly ajar, and no words are coming from him, which is so unlike Carlos to be lost for words.
You freeze, phone clutched in your hand, heart hammering against your ribs. The blood rushes to your ears and you suddenly feel as though you’re unable to breathe, feeling as though he’s looking at you differently.
The Spanish words, the comfortable rhythm of your conversation with Sofia, the comfortable feeling you had all but a moment ago evaporates into the air.
“Carlos…” you whisper, your voice sounding small and weak. You feel your cheeks burn and you can only imagine how red your face is.
He sets the other abag on the floor with a soft thud, the sound echoing in the suddenly charged silence. “You…you speak Spanish?” he asks, his voice barely a whisper.
The playful light in his eyes was gone, the crinkles that always appeared when he smiled did not appear this time.
You nod slowly, feeling a wave of shame wash over you. You feel sick at the thought of how he must feel, you should have told him. You should have shown him the real you sooner. “I do,” you managed to say.
You sat perched on the edge of Carlos's ridiculously plush sofa. Your heart was still thrumming a little too fast, admittedly by the man himself. Carlos.
He was pacing in front of you now. He ran a hand through his already tousled dark hair, the movement highlighting the sharp lines of his jaw.
“I still can’t believe you spoke it,” he said, his voice a low rumble.
You fidgeted, picking at a loose thread on the throw pillow next to you. “It’s not that big of a deal,” you mumbled, your gaze fixed on the intricate pattern.
The idea of speaking it, of letting it flow freely in front of anyone, especially him, had always filled you with a surprising amount of anxiety.
“Not a big deal?” He stopped pacing, planting his hands on his hips, his gaze finally locking with yours, a faint amusement dancing in his brown eyes.
“You mean the fact that you’ve been listening to me struggle through English for years, when you could have corrected me all this time, is ‘not a big deal’?”
A blush crept up your neck. You avoided his eyes again, feigning interest in the small water stain on the coffee table. “I… I wasn't correcting you on purpose.”
He chuckled, the sound warm and inviting. It melted the nervous knot in your stomach a little. He dropped down beside you on the sofa, the cushions giving way with a soft sigh.
He turned, his whole attention now focused on you. “So, why didn’t you? Why did you keep that amazing Spanish tucked away?”
You took a deep breath, the words tasting like lead in your mouth. “I guess… I wasn't confident enough,” you finally admitted, the admission feeling like a weight lifting off your chest, however slightly. “I wasn't sure about my accent. Or if I even sounded… right.”
His eyebrows furrowed slightly, and his hand reached out to gently touch your arm, his fingers sending a jolt of warmth through your skin.
He’d always had a way of making even the simplest touch feel charged. “Mi amor, you are always right. Never doubt that. And your accent… it’s beautiful,”.
You finally looked up at him, your eyes searching his for any hint of sarcasm, but finding only genuine sincerity. The term of endearment was a fresh shock, and it sent little shivers down your spine. “You really think so?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
He nodded, his thumb now tracing lazy circles on your skin. “Absolutely. It’s unique, and it's yours. It's part of what makes you, you." He leaned closer, his eyes boring into yours. "And I want to hear more of it.”
The air crackled, charged by the intensity of his gaze. You were acutely aware of the proximity between you, of the warmth emanating from his body, and the way his gaze lingered on your lips.
He'd managed to convince you to stay, the casual invitation coming after a day spent working with his team at the track. Your initial plan was always to return to your hotel, to maintain the comfortable distance that you had been living in.
But then you saw him, his hopeful expression and the puppy-dog pleading in his eyes and you found your resolve melting away. You told yourself it was the pull of shared language, the thrill of having someone that understood you; but deep down, you knew it was something far more profound and far more dangerous.
“Please,” he whispered, his voice a low, husky plea. “Speak more amor? Just a little bit.” His brown eyes, usually full of mischievousness, were now pools of earnest emotion.
You swallowed hard, feeling the heat creeping up your face again. “What… what do you want me to say?” you asked, the Spanish words a little hesitant at first.
A wide grin stretched across his face. “Anything. Tell me about your day. Tell me you think I’m the best driver on the grid,” he teased, his eyes sparkling with humor.
You laughed, the sound light and airy in the quiet space. "You're arrogant, tonto," you said, the Spanish rolling off your tongue with more ease than you expected.
His grin widened. “But you like me, arrogant and best driver?” he challenged.
"Perhaps," you replied, playfully avoiding his question. "It was a long day. I spent most of the morning working from home. Then, I had lunch with..." You trailed off, momentarily forgetting the English word for the person you had lunch with during the day.
"Your coach?" Carlos suggested, his gaze unwavering.
"Yes! My coach. We discussed the race strategy and went over some notes," you continued, the Spanish flowing much more easily now.
You felt a strange sense of liberation, of finally letting go of the fear that had been holding you back.
He listened intently, his head tilted slightly, his eyes never leaving yours. Every now and then, he would let out a small chuckle or offer a prompting question.
“And now?” he asked softly, interrupting you mid-sentence. “What are you going to do now?”
You glanced around his living room, its sleek lines and modern features a stark contrast to the cozy comfort of your small apartment.
"Now? I suppose... well, I guess I'm going to stay here." You held his gaze, each beat of your heart pounding in your chest.
He reached out, his hand cupping your cheek, his thumb softly stroking your skin. "You're perfect," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath. "You being here... it makes everything feel perfect."
You shivered, and it wasn’t from the cold. “Carlos…” you began, your voice trembling slightly.
He leaned in, his gaze locked on your lips making the moment feel charged with unspoken promises. “Just… say it, amor,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
You closed the distance between you and pressed your lips against his. The kiss was everything you expected and far, far more. It was a melting pot of the connection you’d so desperately tried to suppress.
It was a declaration in a language both shared and unspoken. When you finally pulled away, you were breathless, your heart pounding against your ribs.
He looked at you, his eyes filled with a tenderness that made your heart ache. “Tell me in Spanish,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your ear, sending a shiver down your spine.
You took a shaky breath, finally letting the words flow freely, without reservation or fear. “Te quiero, Carlos,” you whispered, the words finally escaping your lips. I love you.
His response was immediate. His lips crashed against yours in another kiss, this one deeper, more passionate, and full of a raw, unfiltered emotion.
You pulled him closer, your arms wrapping around his neck, losing yourself in the moment, in him, in the magic of finally being understood, finally being heard, finally being loved in the most perfect language possible.
The fear, the insecurity you had carried for so long, seemed to dissolve, replaced by a dizzying rush of hope. You had found a home in his arms, in his eyes, and in the shared language that had brought you together.
And in that moment, in his arms, with the city twinkling outside the window, you knew, with absolute certainty, that you were exactly where you were meant to be. . . .

hold me? | c.l.
synopsis: in which he only wants you to hold him

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a quiet, overcast afternoon in Monaco, the kind where the skies seem to mirror the feelings of those under them. The rain has been falling steadily since morning, a soft patter against the windows filling the silence in your apartment. Normally, you’d find the sound soothing, but today it seems to add to the heaviness hanging in the air.
Charles has been uncharacteristically quiet all day. You noticed it during breakfast, where his usual playful banter was replaced with absent nods and distracted glances. He barely touched his coffee, something he never does, and the light in his eyes seemed dulled.
Now, he’s sprawled on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, scrolling aimlessly through his phone. His posture is slouched, and every now and then, he lets out a sigh that tugs at your heart.
From the kitchen, you watch him for a moment, your fingers curling around the warm mug of tea you made for him. You can tell he’s carrying something heavy, the kind of weight he’s too stubborn to share unless coaxed.
Taking a deep breath, you walk over and set the tea on the coffee table, then perch on the armrest of the couch beside him.
“Charles,” you call softly.
He glances up at you, his honey-brown eyes tired and unfocused.
“Hmm?”
You reach out to smooth the blanket over his lap, a small gesture of care.
“I brought you some tea,” you say gently, trying not to push too much too soon.
“Merci,” he murmurs, his voice quiet, almost flat.
He takes the mug but doesn’t drink, instead staring into the steam as if lost in thought.
You slip onto the couch beside him, leaning in so your knee brushes his.
“You’ve been quiet today,” you say carefully, not wanting to overwhelm him. “Do you want to talk about what’s on your mind?”
He hesitates, his lips parting before he shakes his head slightly. But the way his shoulders slump tells you he does—it’s just hard for him to find the words.
Gently, you place your hand on his arm, grounding him.
“It’s okay,” you assure him. “Take your time.”
He sighs, setting the tea back on the table before leaning back against the couch. His gaze fixes on the ceiling, and for a moment, the only sound is the rain outside.
“Racing has been... tough lately,” he finally admits, his voice heavy with frustration. “I feel like I’m not good enough. Like no matter how hard I try, it’s never enough. The mistakes, the pressure, the expectations, it’s all piling up.”
He pauses, running a hand through his hair.
“Sometimes I think... I’m letting everyone down. The team, the fans, even myself.”
Hearing the raw vulnerability in his voice makes your chest ache. You shift closer, sliding your arms around him without hesitation.
At first, he tenses, but then he melts into your embrace, his head finding its place on your shoulder.
“Charles,” you whisper, your fingers stroking through his soft curls, “you’re allowed to feel this way. You carry so much on your shoulders, and it’s okay to admit when it feels too heavy. But I need you to know that you’re not letting anyone down. Not your team, not your fans, and definitely not me.”
His arms wrap around your waist, pulling you closer. He holds you like he’s afraid to let go, his breath warm against your neck.
“You always know what to say,” he murmurs, his voice thick with emotion.
You pull back slightly, just enough to meet his gaze. His eyes are glistening, and there’s a vulnerability there that he rarely shows. Gently, you cup his face, brushing your thumb along his cheek.
“I know what to say because I see you,” you say softly. “Not just Charles Leclerc, the racing driver, but Charles, the person I love. You don’t have to be perfect for me. You’re enough, just as you are.”
A tear escapes, and he quickly swipes it away, giving you a small, grateful smile.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you,” he whispers.
You lean in, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, lingering for a moment.
“Lucky for you, you’ll never have to find out,” you tease lightly, earning a soft chuckle from him.
For the rest of the afternoon, you stay like that, tangled together on the couch. At one point, he shifts to rest his head in your lap, and you run your fingers through his hair, gently massaging his scalp. He lets out a content sigh, his body fully relaxed for the first time in days.
When he drifts off to sleep, you stay still, watching the way his lips curve into the faintest smile. The rain outside begins to let up, but the calm in your heart remains, knowing that, for now, he’s at peace, and that you’ll always be there to help him find his way back to it.
No matter what.

Pairing: Girlfriend!female reader x Max Verstappen x Charles Leclerc
Warnings: Fluffy,
Summary: It was you and two. Each with their own nickname for you, one Liefde and the other Amour.
Requested: NO / yes
Tumblr media
The two men who pursued you were from two different countries.
You yourself were from a different country than either of them.
So when they gave you a nickname that only they call, it was the same word, but it was different because it was in two different languages.
Max calls you Liefde, Dutch for love.
Charles calls you Amour, French for love.
They became your world because of how much had happened in your life that left you out of contact with your family or they were dead.
You were okay with those circumstances because you left to get away from them in the first place.
When Max and Charles met you, you didn't know what love was.
They helped you learn what true proper love was.
Max and Charles, they never pushed you to do anything.
They learned things of you that even you didn't know about yourself.
You loved sunsets and just being with them.
With them you learned to love the beach and that it wasn't just a thing of imagination.
You learned their languages because you wanted to be able to talk to them.
To them you were Liefde and Amour.
To you, Max was Dragoste and Charles was Lyubov'.
There was nothing you would not do for them, and there was nothing that they wouldn't do for you.
You found purpose with them.
A purpose that you thought you would only find in your job.
When they purposed to you, they learned your language.
Max learned Romanian when he asked you to marry him, Charles learned Russian.
Well, they both learned both languages, but Max purposed in Romanian because that was the language you used for his nickname, and Charles's was Russian.
You found family with them, with the rest of the grid.

un rosso inconfondibile
attending a fashion show (and scoring yourself a date in the process)
[2.1k]
note: in the two week long process of writing this, i have moved into a flat, broken two of my actual nails, and rewatched all the monster high movies. sorry it took so long. <3. (lmk if u want a part two??? im kinda in love w this dynamic i would be so keen to write more x)
Tumblr media
“i’m genuinely so thankful to be here, and i can’t wait to see what looks they have to show tonight,” you trail off with a smile and blow a kiss to the camera.
the interviewer seems pleased enough with your response, and thanks you for your time before getting ready for the next famous face on the ferrari-red carpet.
the paparazzi were ravenous, like they always were— camera flashes were going off every second, while questions, directions and compliments were called out to you.
“please, turn this way!”
“who are you most excited to see?”
“give us a little smile!”
“you look gorgeous tonight! who are you wearing?”
at the last question, you laugh and gesture down to your silky black outfit.
“now, why would we be at a ferrari fashion show and not be wearing ferrari?”
your reply garners some laughs from the mob of cameras, and the reporter thanks you for your time.
your publicist gestures for you to head towards the entrance of the venue, allowing you to finally step off the carpet and take a breath.
like you had said earlier, you’re insanely grateful to have been invited to watch ferrari’s newest collection walk down the runway, but the sheer amount of pr you had to do before each of these shows… it could honestly bring about an early grave, you thought.
just as you were about to recollect your thoughts and continue to the door, your dress was tugged back suddenly.
you turned to see who had stepped on your train and found a man crouched down, trying to examine for any damage.
“i’m so sorry,” he said, smoothing out the fabric, seemingly pleased with the quality of it after his mishap.
“i was not looking where i was going. it’s a bad habit of mine, really…”
he had a strong accent- french, maybe— something european, at least.
“don’t worry about it,” you assured him, “i’m sure no one will notice.”
now standing, he reached out, holding his hand out. you took it, and he bowed his head to kiss it gently, making his introduction to you.
“i’m charles.”
in return, you told charles your name, and that it was very nice to meet him, but your publicist was looking quite displeased with you by the door, where you were meant to be a whole minute ago.
he raised his eyebrows, amused by your story, and followed your gaze to where there was, indeed, a stern looking woman waving you over.
“i’ll see you around, then.”
charles nodded by way of a goodbye and let you leave, chuckling as you made hurried steps towards the entrance.
your publicist frowned as you came closer, worriedly typing something out on her phone.
“come on, love, you were meant to be in there ages ago! they need to get more photos inside, and you have…” she pulled up her email and checked something quickly, “you have two interviews for ferrari’s social media, and for vogue france.”
“you worry too much,” you replied, shooting a smile at her, “it’s okay, i know what to do. we’ve been here hundred of times before, remember?”
she seemed to calm down a bit after your reassurance, but that did nothing to stop her from giving you a nudge to go inside.
you took some more deep breaths before you walked in, preparing for another round of photo ops.
at least these photographers didn’t yell.
“could we get one of you facing left, please?”
“perfect, and just another with your head turned!”
you weren’t really listening, just letting your body follow their instructions loosely.
just as you were getting into a rhythm with it, the instructions stopped coming. instead, the photographers were focussed on someone who was coming around the corner towards you.
“charles!”
ah.
you narrowed your eyes at him as he came closer. he was walking with a cocky sort of swagger, but who wouldn’t, you supposed, with all those cameras following him.
“we meet again,” he smiled widely.
“and so soon, too,” you added before you were interrupted by the photographers asking to get a photo of the two of you together.
you both forwent verbal answers, and instead positioned yourselves to be photographed— his arm came up to your waist, and yours behind his back.
“you’re a pretty big deal, huh,” you took the opportunity to ask, in between looking into different camera lenses with him.
he laughed, causing a rapid flurry of camera clicks as he did so.
“i suppose you could say that.”
you opened your mouth to reply, but was cut off by a shout, “please, charles, now by yourself!”
…maybe these guys did yell.
you shot a ‘what can you do’ look to charles as you left the spotlight, taking the photographer’s plea as a rightful cue to leave.
he held his hands together and mouthed a ‘sorry!’ quickly, before turning back to the horde and flashing them a brilliant smile.
jesus— he could be a toothpaste model or something.
you made it through your two social media interviews with no hiccups, though the vogue correspondent did ask you the nature of your relationship with charles, as, “you two seemed quite friendly earlier!”
you’d laughed it off and told her the truth, though for some reason, she didn’t seem too convinced.
a loud voice echoed around the room, telling everyone, “ladies, and gentlemen, signore e signori, if you could please take your seats.”
you found yours with ease, being seated in the front row, almost halfway down the runway, to the left of some magazine editor you honestly hadn’t heard of.
you started up a conversation with her about the current fashion season, and what trends she was predicting would hit the mainstream soon.
you were discussing animal print when a figure sat down into the seat on your left. they felt familiar before you even turned around, and you somehow weren’t surprised to see charles grinning sheepishly at you.
“life is funny how it works, no?”
you rolled your eyes and excused yourself, turning back to the editor, only to find she was engrossed in a conversation with her other neighbour. resigned, you faced charles again.
“are you stalking me?” you questioned him.
he understood your sarcasm and laughed, holding his hands up in innocence.
“of course not. it just seems the world wants us to be together.”
he let the words sink in for a moment, then realised his mistake.
“no, i- i didn’t mean together like that, you know? i just meant- erm…”
you try not to laugh at his attempt to explain himself, and place a hand on his knee to stop him from bumbling.
“so how’d you get invited? are you a model or something?” you decided to ask, the question having been on your mind for a while.
he smiled, like he knew something you didn’t, and shook his head.
“nothing like that. i… work with ferrari.”
your lips formed an ‘oh’ of understanding as he kept talking.
“i usually do not come to these things, but i was in town.”
the lights dimmed, ending your conversation before you could reply, but as you turned your attention towards the runway, you felt charles shift towards you and whisper, “i am happy i decided to come. i am here with you,” before moving back as if nothing had happened.
was he flirting with you?
you smiled to yourself, allowing yourself a selfish moment of pride before taking your phone out and recording a video of the first model.
charles didn’t bother you too much for the rest of the show, only leaning over every now and again to share his thoughts on whichever outfit was being walked down the runway. you found yourself agreeing with many of his opinions, and he would smile whenever you told him so.
focussing back on a gorgeous denim set walking past, you caught him in the corner of your eye nodding his head slightly to the music, then pursing his lips and leaning towards you again.
“you look beautiful, by the way,” he murmured softly, “i don’t know what you look like when you’re not at fashion shows, but i’m sure it’s beautiful too.”
oh, he was definitely flirting.
another model walked past, and you took the opportunity to lean over and whisper back in his ear, “i can’t lie and say you’re not pretty handsome too.”
a slight flush covered his cheeks, though you couldn’t say definitively that it wasn’t because of the scarlet dress strutting past at the moment. then, he was quiet for a while, and you worried you had upset him somehow.
your fears were alleviated when you felt his body move closer once more.
“i think we should have a dinner together.”
you turned your head to look at charles in the eyes, to gauge if he was being serious or not.
he looked serious about it, albeit there was a cheeky smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
with the way he was looking at you so intently, how could you not say yes?
“i’m free tonight, if you are too.”
a smile finally broke out on his face as he nodded enthusiastically.
“if you let me rush back to my hotel and change after this, you can pick me up at…” you checked the time on your phone quickly, “nine?”
at his insistence, you scribbled down your number onto a scrap piece of paper you'd found in your purse, making him promise to call when he arrived at your hotel. he replied by pressing the paper to his lips, closing his eyes as he kissed it, then tucking it away in a pocket, returning both of your attentions to the runway, though he was sitting much closer to you than he had been before.
the rest of the show seemed to pass twice as quickly, the idea of your date with the handsome man next to you occupying most of your thoughts, although a few pieces you had eyed up on the runway were also on your mind, making you wonder if you could add them to your personal wardrobe afterwards.
after rocco iannone came out from backstage and thanked everyone for coming, the house lights came on, and a gentle chatter filled the room as the audience bid their goodbyes to each other at the end of the show.
charles offered you his arm, helping you up. no doubt the paparazzi would have a field day with those pictures. you could practically picture the second-rate gossip magazine headlines already.
the two of you navigated your way to the doors, hand in arm the whole way. you exchanged thoughts on the show to each other, telling the other which clothes really caught your attention, or which model surely had a great career ahead of them.
recognising your publicist from earlier, charles dropped you off in front of her, introducing himself when she said hello.
“we’re going to dinner after this,” you mentioned to her, “so after we get back to the hotel, you can have a well-deserved night off, yeah?”
she waved you off jokingly and, after glancing down at her phone, told you your driver would be pulling up about now.
“i’ll call you when i am there to pick you up, chérie.” charles stepped away from you, kissing your hand again before disappearing into the crowd, presumably to find his team.
“he’s very charming~” your publicist nudged your shoulder, teasing you.
you rolled your eyes at her antics and took your arm in hers, leading the both of you outside to find the car.
you settled into the rented sprinter van and rested your head on your hand, watching the lights of the city zoom past your window as you drove down the streets of milan.
you snapped out of it when you heard your publicist calling your name. you’d missed what she’d said, so you were left staring at her as she pushed her phone into your face.
it took a second to focus on the bright screen suddenly in your vision.
what you saw was a photo of charles and you from earlier in the night on vogue italia.
in the caption, though, was a description of your job and his.
‘charles leclerc, pilota di formula uno per la scuderia ferrari.’
scuderia ferrari formula one driver.
his words from before suddenly echoed in your head and you caught yourself grinning at the realisation. you’d assumed he was just a corporate employee, but no— he was one of two drivers upholding the entire ferrari legacy in formula one right now.
somehow, you were even more excited for your dinner now, and if nothing came of the date, you could at least go home to your friends and laugh about the first time you’d met a formula one driver. biting back another smile, you were already picturing your wardrobe at the hotel, mentally picking out what you should wear.

Day 6 of 25 Days of Christmas: Taking niece/nephew to meet Santa
Pairing: Carlos Sainz x Reader
Words: 784
Rating: PG
Warnings: None, Fluff
"Are you sure you're okay with doing this, Carlos?" His sister stood before him, bouncing his niece, who was pouting that her mother couldn't take her to meet Santa Claus. Of course, we were going shopping anyway, and I think it would be fun; what do you think, pequeña?" Carlos asked, reaching out and pinching her cheek, which made her giggle happily. She then remembered she was supposed to be upset and went back to pouting.
His sister laughs and bounces her one last time before hanging her over, kicking her feet little feet as Carlos chuckles, little Isla clinging to him now. "Byeeee, you will be a good girl for Uncle Los and Aunt Y/n. You understand me," her mother says. Isla waves bye before looking at Carlos with her wide hazel eyes. "Y/n?" She asks softly, and Carlos chuckles and kisses her cheeks. "In the kitchen, go," He says, letting her down, watching as she rushes off and hearing a squeal and your laughter.
"Is that my favorite niece staying here with us today?" you ask as Isla hugs your leg. Carlos comes around the corner and smiles brightly. We're taking her to meet Santa Claus," Carlos explains, and you gasp, looking down. Are you meeting Santa Claus today?" you ask, being so happy you're allowed to do this. Isla nods happily and looks up at you with her big eyes.
"Yes," she squeaks, and you coo softly. You quickly bend down, pick her up, and hold her close. "Y/n, will you meet Santa Claus with me?" She whispers, and you turn and nod your head. "Of course, Uncle Los and I will meet him with you," she giggles and clings to you as you smile. "Hey, why don't you go play while Uncle Los and I talk?" You ask, and Isla nods, her little legs kicking already, as you let her go and watch her run to the living room.
"Why are we taking her to Santa? That is the thing parents should do; isn't it important? I don't know, milestone," You ask, and Carlos bites back a snort. "Y/n, she's four; she's met Santa before, just this year, her mom can't, so she's asked us," You calm down; you and Carlos have only been dating a year or so, but Isla took to you quiet quickly and has consistently called you Aunt Y/n.
"Okay, so we just get a picture with Santa and move on with our holiday shopping?" You ask gently as Isla comes running back with Pinon, following her bouncing as she stops. "Uncle Los, I drew you and Santa; you both wear red suits," She smiles brightly, and Carlos bends down, smiling. "Thank you, baby. Why don't you go draw Y/n a picture as well," Kissing her forehead, Isla nods and runs off, Pinon bouncing after her, making you giggle; that crackhead of a dog loved her and always followed her around.
"So, wanna go meet Santa?" He asks, and you roll your eyes.
"It's Rudolph, Uncle Los, it's Rudolph," Isla tugs on Carlos's shirt, pointing at the reindeer next to Santa Claus. "Yes, I see, wanna feed him a carrot?" He asks, and you smile, holding her little coat. "Aunt Y/n, you help me?" She asks, leaning into your leg, and you look down, smiling. "I'd love to, sugar." You smile, making Isla squeal as you two move closer to the front.
"Would you like a carrot?" The lady asks, smiling brightly as Isla nods her head and gladly accepts the carrot. Isla walks up but stops getting nervous. "Here, baby," you say, leaning down, picking her up and holding her close. "Want me to feed him?" You ask, to which she nods, and you gladly take the carrot, "Bet his nose," You say, and Isla gently reaches her little hand out and giggles when the reindeer licks her tongue.
"Okay, watch," you slowly hand out the carrot as the reindeer accepts it and starts munching on it, making Isla squeal happily and kick her little legs. "Wanna try?" And hand her another carrot that she quickly holds out and watches the animal devour it. "Ready for your picture?" You ask, and she nods her head quickly. As you slowly sit her down, she rushes towards Santa; Carlos immediately pulls his phone out, snapping tons of photos.
"Uncle Los, Aunt Y/n, come," she whines, and you can't help but laugh and move as Carlos hands off his phone, smiling as you two take a photo. "What a cute family," one of the older women whispers, making Carlos smile as he says thank you and scrolls through the pictures.
Yeah, he wouldn't mind having a mini-you around.

Thank you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's a wrap, everyone! Thank you all so much for participating, and congratulations to all of you! But of course, a special mention to our winner Stellar the Hedgehog, by @emthimofnight! Congrats!
This was so much fun! I hope you all think the same. I really want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this event the best it could've been. It was amazing seeing all of the kids interact, and all of the artists be so nice to each other. I truly appreciate it a lot, and I need you to know that it was all thanks to you<3
I hope that you know that no matter how far into the tourney your character made it, they are amazing, and I hope they got (and continue getting) all the love they deserve.
It truly is inspiring to see all of these creators caring so much for their characters, and I want you all to see that. It doesn't matter how many votes your kid got, because they always had your vote, and that's honestly amazing, and it serves as great inspiration.
Here's the link for the first round, so everyone can go check out the creators who participated and hopefully continue to support their next ventures.
And, with nothing else to add, again, thank you, I appreciate you all and all the effort you put into making this as fun as you could.
-Your host, Kat.

seb x reader with prompt " kissing their helmet for good luck before the race" any seb era (you choose) i hope you like the prompt :) <3
Tumblr media
♡ Helmet Kisses [1.1K] I couldn't decide which era of Seb I wanted to do; so here's all three!
Tumblr media
♡ Red Bull Racing Era
Back in his Red Bull Racing days, Sebastian was known for having a string of lovers; different girls would show up to the race every so often, but never in the Paddock.
Until of course, you came along.
You were the rationality to his chaotic energy, the calm voice in his head before he’d scream down the radio on a particularly bad race.
Also, the first girl he had in the Paddock.
Let’s start by saying the team adored you. Finally, Sebastian would show up on time to meetings and wouldn’t start causing chaos during one of Horner’s speeches.
On the race evening, prior to his second World Championship, he’s all smiles, before walking onto the grid, hopping into his car.
You at this point, were shyly standing alongside some of the other garage guests; you weren’t too sure what the media would think of ‘Vettel’s new lady, the one who’s stuck around.’
Until there’s a sudden motion from one of his mechanics, motioning at you.
For a second, you don’t think to move, until he shouts your name, waving wildly for you to come over to the car.
You can feel your heart race, feeling like the eyes of every driver, mechanic and fan were on you. The only solace you had was Lewis and Mark, having been introduced to Sebastian’s close friends earlier in the weekend.
When you reached the Red Bull, the mechanic pats your back. You barely notice it, attention drawn to your boyfriend’s helmet-clad head.
‘You didn’t give me my good-luck kiss!’ He huffed, lifting his visor so his blue eyes could meet your own.
You can’t hold back the laugh this time. ‘Didn’t you win here without me last time?’ You question the logic. Sebastian simply huffs, not wanting to listen to logic, instead, folding his arms and pouting like a child.
You end up caving, leaning over the side of the RB7, pressing a kiss to the side of his helmet.
You don’t miss the cheering from the rest of the grid as you duck your head, cheeks blushing from the interaction as you walk off the track.
You also don’t miss Sebastian’s shout of ‘I want a proper one when I win!
♡ Scuderia Ferrari Era
You hadn’t been able to attend the opening race of Sebastian’s first year with Ferrari; something you’d felt awful about, knowing it was his dream to race for them.
So here you were, clad in red, engagement finger resting on your left hand, ready to support your husband-to-be.
He’d been aggravated, Lewis and Nico finishing 30 seconds ahead of him in the opening race had driven him insane.
He knew he could do better.
So, when he came into to garage, clad in his red fireproofs, (ones you could have fantasies over,) his game-face was on.
You knew better than to interrupt the ins and outs of setting up the car.
Sebastian had barely spoken to you that morning; he’d held your hand firmly when walking to the car that morning.
Even in the car, your usual chat and singing along to his ancient music was replaced by a silence.
The only form of comfort you had been able to offer him was a hand resting on his leg as he drove; a silent promise you would be here for him, not matter the result.
It wasn’t until one of the mechanics walked past, holding Sebastian’s helmet, that you spoke up, asking if you could give it to him.
He obliged; in his mind, anything to cheer up their driver before the race would be a good thing.
You had held out the helmet, his eyes widening when he saw that it was you handing it to him.
Before handing it to him, you lifted the helmet to your face, kissing the part of the helmet where his lips would usually be on his face.
You grinned, handing him the helmet, winking as you handed it over.
‘That’s your good luck kiss. Go out there and get that win.’
There was a massive cheer around the garage as they finally saw Sebastian break into a smile, the first one of the day.
Even Kimi had started grinning, knowing how in love his teammate was.
After the win he scored that afternoon, the mechanics insisted you joined them for as many races as possible.
♡ Aston Martin Era
Of course, you were there for Sebastian’s final race. The day had been overwhelming.
Even though you hadn’t been by his side for the entirety of the day, you had been around the Paddock; your three-year-old daughter clad in Aston Martin merch.
The whole family had to be there for Sebastian; it was his last race after all.
It had been more emotional for you that you’d realised.
Charles had come up to you, tears in his eyes as he thanked you for looking out for him all those years, even after Sebastian had left Ferrari.
You didn’t expect the warm hug from Christian, who wished you both the best and had promised the second your daughter got into karting, he would be signing her to Red Bull.
Of course, Sebastian had given both his girls a kiss before stepping into his car, nestling in his seat for the last time.
You’d sat in the garage, your daughter on your lap as you pointed to where he was listening to his mechanic; her eyes widened upon seeing her father in the cars she’d seen all day.
His race engineer nudged you, motioning towards your husband.
‘Go on. Give him one more for old times’ sake.’
You laugh, getting up from your chair and scooping up your daughter, walking through the grid.
She of course, gives her Uncle Mick a wave, having spent most of her afternoon coaxing him to play imaginary games with her.
Sebastian clocks the two of you coming across the grid, even though he’s strapped in, he turns his head.
You can’t see the grin on his face, but you know it’s there.
Leaning over and kissing the side of his head, it’s as if all of them years had been taken back, back to when you and Sebastian were just kids; the first time you’d ever been seen with him.
You seem to fly through the years with that one kiss, before leaning up, ready to walk away, until the wiggling girl in your arms whines.
Giving her a questioning look, she leaned down, arms guided by you, as she pressed a sloppy kiss to her father’s helmet.
Sebastian’s heart melted.
His girls on his final race, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Christmas Ball
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: CS55 + fake dating for a Christmas party/ball
Song: Michael Bublé - White Christmas
Author’s note: I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Please like, reblog and share this! 🫶
Word count: 4.8k
MASTERLIST - F1
Tumblr media
You always found the holidays to be a bittersweet time, a swirling mix of joy and nostalgia that danced through the air like the flurries of snow outside your window. This year, however, felt particularly strange.
The twinkling lights of the city and the festive decorations around your apartment offered a sense of cheer that somehow faded against the backdrop of your best friend Carlos's impending departure from Ferrari.
The air was thick with anticipation, and you couldn't shake the feeling that something big was about to change.
"Carlos, are you sure you want to do this?" You asked, trying to hide your concern behind a playful smirk.
It was the day before the big Christmas party, and Carlos had approached you with an unusual proposition: to be his fake girlfriend for the event.
He leaned back against the wall of your small kitchen, arms crossed, and gave you that charming grin you could never resist.
"Come on, you know the guys at the team will never let me live it down if I show up alone. They've been teasing me for months about being single. I can't go in there and give them the satisfaction."
You rolled your eyes but couldn't help but chuckle. Carlos was right; the engineers and team members could be relentless. It was as if they took pleasure in reminding him that he was one of the most talented racers in the world but somehow couldn’t manage to keep a girlfriend.
"But a fake girlfriend? Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, your family will be there too. They’ll want to know more about me."
“Exactly! You know them already. You’ll fit right in.” He took a step closer, and his expression turned earnest.
“Please, I can’t do this alone. It’ll just be for one night. Just act like we’re a couple, and we’ll get through it. I promise you won’t regret it.”
You hesitated, glancing around your kitchen as if the utensils might offer some clarity. “What if they ask us about our ‘relationship’? You know, like how we met or something?”
He waved his hand dismissively. “We’ll figure it out as we go. I trust you. And you’re good at this kind of stuff. Remember that time we pretended to be a couple at my cousin’s wedding?”
“That was one time! And we were twelve!” you exclaimed, laughing at the memory of young Carlos and you dressed up in ill-fitting suits and dresses, giggling as you attempted to dance.
“Exactly! And we pulled it off!” His voice was filled with enthusiasm. “You’re the only one I trust to do this with me. Plus, it’ll be fun! Just think of it as an adventure.”
You couldn’t help but smile at his infectious excitement. Deep down, you knew you would never say no to him. The truth was, despite the outrageous nature of the request, you found the idea of pretending to be his girlfriend strangely appealing.
Maybe it was the excitement of the party itself or perhaps the thrill of being in such close proximity to someone you cared about so deeply.
“Fine. But only for one night. And don’t think you can make me wear a silly outfit or anything.”
Carlos clapped his hands together, his eyes sparkling with delight. “Deal! You’ll look amazing no matter what you wear. I'll pick you up, and we’ll go in style.”
The night of the party arrived, and you stood in front of your full-length mirror, adjusting the shimmering red dress that hugged your curves perfectly.
The color reflected the team’s colors, a deep and vibrant shade that made you feel festive but elegant. The twinkling lights decorating the streets outside seemed to echo the excitement thrumming in your heart. It was a night meant for glamour, and you couldn’t wait to step into that world—especially since Carlos would be your partner in crime.
You glanced at the clock. He was late, and you felt the familiar flutter of nerves in your stomach. Was it silly to feel anxious? This was supposed to be fun.
You had agreed to play the role of Carlos's fake girlfriend for the evening, a little charade to help him navigate the intricacies of a farewell party filled with fans, colleagues, and those who were eager to get a word in about his future.
Just as you were beginning to worry, you heard the sound of a car pulling up outside. Your heart skipped a beat. Moments later, Carlos knocked on your door, and the sound reverberated through your chest.
“Hey! Ready to steal the show?” he called out, his voice filled with that familiar charm that always made you smile.
You opened the door to find him standing there in a crisp black suit, his dark hair styled just right, and his smile wide enough to melt anyone’s heart.
The sight of him took your breath away. “Wow,” he said, eyes widening as he took you in. “You look incredible.”
You felt your cheeks flush at his compliment, the warmth creeping up as you looked down at your dress, then back up at him. “Thanks. You clean up pretty well yourself.”
Carlos stepped inside and took your hand, his grip warm and reassuring. “Shall we?”
He led you to his car, opening the door and helping you in with a grace that made your heart flutter. The drive to the venue was filled with light banter about the party.
“I can’t believe how many people are going to be there just for me,” he said, his brow furrowing slightly with stress.
You squeezed his hand, trying to ground him. “You’ll be fine. I’ll be right beside you,” you assured, your voice steady.
“Thanks, cariño,” he said, the corner of his mouth twitching into a smile. “I picked the right girlfriend,” he joked, and you laughed, the sound mingling with the excitement in the air.
When you finally arrived at the event, Carlos helped you out of the car, shielding you from the flashing lights of the paparazzi. “Let’s go and show them how it’s done,” he said, offering his arm.
You looped yours through his, the gesture feeling surprisingly natural, as if you had done this a thousand times before.
As you entered the building, the atmosphere enveloped you like a warm embrace. A crowd of important people milled around, dressed in their finest, and the air was filled with laughter and conversation. You felt a mixture of nerves and excitement; it was hard to believe you were part of this glamorous world for the night.
Carlos greeted guests with confidence, exchanging pleasantries and smiles, and you stayed close by his side, waiting for the moment he would introduce you or for someone to inquire about who you were.
“Carlos!” a voice called, and you turned to see Charles approach, his face lighting up at the sight of Carlos. “Mate, we’re going to miss you.”
Carlos laughed, patting his friend on the back. “Thank you! I’m excited for the new adventure, but I’m really going to miss you guys.”
“Who’s this?” Charles asked, turning to you with curiosity.
Carlos glanced at you, a playful grin on his face. “This is my girlfriend. We’ve been together for a few months now.”
You felt a slight thrill at being introduced, even if it was under the guise of a relationship that was more a performance than reality. “Nice to meet you,” you said, offering your hand.
“Likewise! Good to see Carlos has someone like you by his side.” Charles winked and moved on, leaving you both with a hint of laughter in the air.
Carlos leaned closer, his breath warm against your ear. “That was easier than I expected.”
You smiled, “Just wait until the press gets a hold of this. They’ll eat it up.”
“I know,” he said, a hint of worry crossing his features. “I just hope it doesn’t get too out of hand.”
You straightened your shoulders, ready to support him. “We’ll handle it together. I’ve got your back.”
The night progressed, and you moved from one conversation to another, Carlos introducing you to various people, and you feigned familiarity, playing your role well. There were moments of laughter, shared stories, and even some touching tributes from his friends that made your heart swell with pride for him.
“You’re doing great,” Carlos said, glancing at you with a reassuring smile. His dark eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and nerves. The way he looked at you made your heart race a little faster.
“I’m just trying to remember my lines,” you teased, nudging him playfully. “What was it again? ‘I’m so proud of my boyfriend’ or ‘Carlos is going to take the racing world by storm’?”
“Definitely the second one,” he laughed. “But you can’t forget the part where you look impressed by my driving skills.”
“Of course, I’ll be your biggest fan tonight,” you replied, adjusting the elegant dress you wore.
Finally, you spotted them. A cluster of warm, welcoming faces, all gathered around a beautifully decorated table. Carlos’s mother, Reyes, a woman with an infectious laugh and a penchant for elegant scarves, was the first to notice your approach. Her eyes lit up as she stood, arms wide open, ready to welcome her son.
“There you are!” she exclaimed, pulling Carlos into a tight embrace. “We’ve been waiting for you! And you must be the lovely girl I’ve heard so much about.”
“Yes, I’m—” you started, but Carlos cut in.
“This is my girlfriend,” he said with an air of confidence, placing a gentle hand on your lower back. “You remember what I told you, right?”
“Of course! It’s wonderful to finally meet you,” Reyes said, turning her attention to you. You couldn’t help but feel her warmth radiating towards you. “Carlos has told us all about you, and I must say, he’s been smitten ever since he met you.”
“Mamá, come on,” Carlos chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck as a slight blush crept across his cheeks. “You make it sound like I’m a lovesick puppy.”
You stepped forward, extending your hand for a handshake, but Reyes pulled you into an embrace instead.
The sincerity in her touch gave you a sense of comfort. “We are so excited for you both! We want to hear everything.”
Carlos’s father, a distinguished man with salt-and-pepper hair, stepped forward next. “And what is your name, my dear?”
“It’s Y/N,” you replied, a bit shyly.
“Ah, Y/N,” he repeated, his gaze warm. “Carlos has been lucky to have you by his side. A good partner is invaluable in this world.”
“Thank you, sir,” you replied, feeling the weight of his words. You felt a mix of pride and anxiety; you wanted to impress them but also felt like you were stepping into a role you hadn’t fully prepared for.
Just then, Carlos’s sister, Blanca, chimed in, her curly hair bouncing as she approached. “So, how did you two meet?”
“We’ve actually known each other since childhood,” you explained, your voice steadier now.
“Oh, that’s where I’ve seen you before! You two were always together when you were little,” Reyes added, a mischievous glint in his eye.
“Yeah,” Carlos chuckled, his arm subtly wrapping around your waist. “We’ve been through a lot together. It only makes sense for her to be here tonight.”
As the evening progressed, you found yourself in a whirlwind of conversations and laughter, with Carlos’s family treating you like one of their own.
Each kind word from them built your confidence, but you couldn’t shake the feeling of being a little out of place.
Later, as the string quartet shifted to a slower melody, Carlos leaned closer to you, his voice low and conspiratorial. “You’re doing amazing,” he whispered, his breath warm against your ear. “I think my family is starting to really like you.”
“Thanks,” you replied, a little breathless. “But you’re the one who’s charming them.”
He chuckled, and you noticed the way his eyes crinkled at the corners, a sign of genuine happiness. “I’m just glad you’re here with me. It would be a lot more nerve-wracking without you.”
You glanced at him, and for a moment, it felt as if the world outside had faded away. You both stood on the periphery of the dance floor, the couples moving gracefully in the dim light, laughter mingling with the sweet strains of music.
“Carlos,” you said softly, “are you really okay with this whole… fake girlfriend thing?”
His expression turned serious, the laughter in his eyes replaced with a warmth that made your heart race. “Honestly? It was supposed to be just a simple arrangement, but I’m enjoying this way more than I thought I would.”
A pang of hope swelled in your chest, but you quickly brushed it aside. “Me too,” you admitted. “But it’s complicated, right? I mean, you’re about to leave for Ferrari, and I—”
He interrupted, his tone earnest. “But I don’t want it to end. Not like this.”
Before you could respond, his sister Blanca waved you over. “Y/N! Come dance with us!”
Carlos gave you a gentle push toward the dance floor. “You should go; they’re waiting for you.”
Reluctantly, you stepped onto the floor, finding a place among Carlos’s family. They welcomed you with open arms, laughter and joy surrounding you as you twirled and swayed to the music.
You felt the weight of your worries lift, if only for a moment, and lost yourself in the rhythm of the night.
You danced freely, letting the music guide your movements. You could feel Bianca’s infectious energy beside you, and together, you lost yourselves in the moment, giggling and twirling under the stars.
From a distance, Carlos watched, his heart swelling as he observed you. You were radiant, carefree, and completely lost in the music. He leaned against a wooden pillar, taking in the sight, when a familiar voice cut through the noise.
“You picked a good one,” said his father, standing beside him with an approving nod. Carlos turned to his dad, a hint of surprise etched on his face.
“Yeah, she’s amazing, isn’t she?” Carlos replied, trying to mask the hint of admiration in his voice. It was true; you had a spark that drew people in, and Carlos felt lucky just to know you.
“Do you really like her?” his dad asked, raising an eyebrow. “You’re going to need a good woman by your side when you start this new chapter. You can’t always be the charming bachelor.”
Carlos chuckled lightly, the laughter fading as he thought about the question. Did he like you? It was more than that. You were a friend, but there was something else simmering beneath the surface—a warmth that ignited every time you smiled at him or when you laughed at his jokes.
“Yeah, I do,” he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. “But it’s complicated.”
“Life is complicated, son. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just enjoy the moment,” his father advised, clapping him on the shoulder before drifting away to chat with other guests.
Carlos returned his gaze to the dance floor, watching you sway with Bianca. The two of you were the picture of joy. You glanced over, catching his eye again, and this time, you blew him a kiss, teasingly.
He couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head, his heart skipping a beat.
“Your sister is very energetic,” you said, returning to Carlos after the dance. You brushed a few errant strands of hair from your face, a little breathless from the whirlwind of dancing.
Carlos chuckled, his deep voice reverberating within you. “That’s one way to put it. She’s been practicing her dance moves for weeks, all to show off at my farewell party.”
“Looks like she’s succeeding,” you replied, glancing back at Bianca, who was now attempting an exaggerated salsa move with one of the other guests.
The sight made you laugh. You could hardly keep up with her energy, but you loved how infectious her spirit was.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the party transitioned from laughter to a more subdued warmth.
You felt a slight shiver, not from the cool evening air, but from the warmth radiating between you, a connection that felt both exciting and unnerving.
“So,” he began, his expression shifting slightly as you settled beside him on the bench, “how does it feel to be my fake girlfriend for a night?”
You paused, considering your response. “Weird but natural, if you know what I mean.”
You glanced back at Bianca, who had just twirled around, her skirt flaring out, and you couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm.
“Natural? Really?” Carlos raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “What’s so natural about pretending to be my girlfriend?”
You shrugged, feigning nonchalance. “I don’t know, it just feels… comfortable? We’ve known each other long enough. It’s not like I’m pretending to be someone I’m not.”
Carlos chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, I feel it too.” He leaned against the wall, folding his arms.
The way the dim lights of the party cast shadows across his face made him look almost ethereal, and your heart did a little flip that you tried to ignore.
“Okay, but you have to admit this is ridiculous,” he continued, still grinning. “We’re just two friends pretending to be in love. What if someone takes us seriously?”
You took a sip of your drink, feeling the coolness slide down your throat. “Who cares? It’s just for tonight. And honestly, I think it might be a little fun.”
Carlos raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Fun, huh? So you’re saying you wouldn’t mind me throwing an arm around your shoulder, or maybe… a kiss on the cheek?”
He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a mock-serious tone. “What if I’m a terrible kisser?”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress a grin. “I’m sure you’d be fine,” you shot back, teasingly. “And if not, I’ll just call it an act.”
“An act that could end badly,” he replied, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “But I suppose I could get used to having my ‘girlfriend’ on my arm tonight.”
As the evening wore on, the laughter and chatter of the party swirled around you. You found yourself slipping into the role with surprising ease.
You chatted with Carlos about everything from childhood memories to your mutual love for terrible rom-coms.
With each passing moment, the line between fake and real began to blur, making you acutely aware of the warmth emanating from him, the way he always seemed to be in tune with your thoughts, the subtle glances that lingered just a second too long.
“Look, we need to act like a couple now,” Carlos said suddenly, his tone shifting as he glanced at a group of partygoers who were eyeing you both. “Hold my hand.”
You raised an eyebrow, taken aback. “What? Now?”
“Just do it!” He reached for your hand, his grip warm and reassuring. You took a deep breath but found yourself lacing your fingers with his. It felt… nice. Comforting, even.
“Wow,” you murmured, unable to hide your surprise. “This is weird.”
“Weird but natural, right?” he quipped, echoing your earlier words. You shot him a glare, but it was half-hearted.
Carlos led you into the crowd, and you could feel the eyes of the party on you. The thrill of being ‘together’ ignited a strange mix of excitement and nervousness in your stomach.
“Just follow my lead,” he says, his voice low and full of playful confidence. You nod, unsure of what to expect.
As you reach the dance floor, the music shifts to a slower rhythm. The lights dim slightly, creating an intimate atmosphere. Carlos’s hand glides to the small of your back, guiding you closer.
You can feel the heat radiating from his body as he locks eyes with you, a spark of something electric passing between you.
“Relax,” he murmurs, his eyes never leaving yours. “It’s just dancing.”
Your hands find their way to his shoulders, and the world around you blurs into a sea of motion. It’s just you and him, swaying together. You feel the warmth of his body pressed against yours, the steady beat of his heart mirroring your own.
“See? Not so bad, right?” he asks, a teasing lilt in his voice.
“Maybe,” you reply, your voice barely above a whisper. You’re both smiling now, caught up in the moment. “But I still can’t believe we’re doing this.”
“Neither can I,” he admits, his expression softening. “But it feels right, doesn’t it?”
Your bodies move in sync, flowing with the music as if it were a language only you two understood. His eyes search yours, searching for a sign, a signal that this isn’t just an act. In this crowded room, the two of you have created a bubble, a space where everything else fades away.
Just then, he dips you, his grip firm yet gentle, and your heart leaps into your throat. You trust him, allowing your body to lean back, supported completely by him.
You can’t help but laugh breathlessly. “Okay, you’re showing off now!”
“Maybe I am,” he grins, bringing you back up slowly. Your faces are so close, your lips almost touching. The air around you thickens, and suddenly, you’re acutely aware of every detail—the warmth of his breath, the way his gaze flickers to your lips and back up to your eyes.
“Carlos,” you start, your voice barely a whisper, the question hanging between you two.
“I know,” he says softly, the playfulness fading. “I feel it too. But… this is fun, right? Just for tonight?”
You swallow hard, the tension rising in your chest. “Yeah, just for tonight,” you confirm, but inside, a part of you is desperate for more.
His hand moves to the small of your back again, pulling you closer, and the world around you fades even further. You lose track of time, caught in the rhythm of the music and the warmth of his presence.
"Do we have to go back?" you murmured, your gaze lingering on his warm brown eyes, the softness of his expression making your heart flutter.
Carlos chuckled softly, the sound sending a warm thrill through you. "I mean, I’m not the host, but I think we’re kind of required to. Speeches and all that," he replied, reluctantly breaking the closeness between you.
He took a deep breath, his fingers lingering on your waist for just a moment longer before he stepped back.
You nodded, feeling a mix of reluctance and excitement. You had entered this arrangement as a favor—a way to help Carlos navigate the complexities of family expectations.
But now, with every shared glance and playful touch, the line between pretend and real began to blur.
As Carlos's father stood up to give his speech, you could see the pride etched on his face, the way his chest swelled with love as he looked at his son.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he began, his voice rich and steady. "Today, we gather to celebrate not just Carlos’s achievements, but the man he’s become. He has faced challenges with determination, embraced every opportunity with an open heart, and today, I stand before you, proud to call him my son."
A wave of emotion washed over you as you listened. You raised your glass with everyone else, your heart swelling with a mix of pride and an unfamiliar warmth.
Carlos caught your eye, and in that moment, you felt a connection that transcended the confines of your agreement. You were more than just a façade.
You were becoming someone significant in his life.
“To Carlos!” everyone toasted, their voices a harmonious blend of joy and affection. You clinked your glass against his, the sound a sweet reminder of your bond, however unconventional it may have been.
As the applause died down and conversations picked up once more, Carlos turned to you, his expression shifting from celebratory to serious.
"I know this is all a bit pretend, but…” He hesitated, searching your eyes for understanding, the sincerity of his tone causing your heart to race. “I don’t want it to end when the party does."
You swallowed hard, unsure of how to respond. The party was a façade, sure, but the emotions swirling between you felt real. "What do you mean?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
“I mean, this—us,” he gestured between the two of you, “it’s more than just an arrangement for me. I enjoy being around you. You make me feel… I don’t know, alive?”
His brow furrowed slightly, and he looked genuinely vulnerable. “I don’t want you to go back to being just Carlos’s friend or fake girlfriend. I want to see where this can really go.”
Your heart raced at his words, the gravity of the moment pressing down on you. “Carlos, we’ve always had chemistry, haven’t we? It’s just been… complicated.”
“Complicated,” he echoed, his gaze intense. “But it doesn’t have to be.”
“What do you mean?” you asked, breath hitching in your throat.
Carlos leaned in slightly, his voice low, “I mean, maybe we don’t have to pretend anymore. Maybe we could explore whatever this is between us.”
The thought sent a thrill through you, but fear followed closely behind. “What if it gets complicated again?” you asked, trembling slightly.
“I don’t know,” he admitted, a hint of uncertainty crossing his features. “But isn’t it worth finding out? I don’t want to leave without knowing what this could be. What we could be.”
You felt the warmth of his hand brush against yours, a spark igniting where your fingers met. The warmth was both electrifying and comforting, and without thinking, you leaned closer, your heart pounding in your chest.
“Okay,” you whispered, your breath catching as his thumb traced over your knuckles. “Let’s see where this goes.”
His eyes lit up with a mixture of relief and excitement. “Really?”
“Yeah,” you said, unable to suppress your own smile. “But no salsa dancing. I can’t handle that level of energy.”
Carlos laughed, the sound echoing into the hall. “Deal. I’ll save the salsa for my sister.” He leaned in, his breath warm against your cheek. “But I can offer something much better.”
You held your breath as he leaned in, his lips brushing against yours softly. It was tentative at first, as if he was gauging your response. You kissed him back, the warmth of the fire fading into the background as everything else fell away.
In that moment, everything felt right. The chaos of the party, the looming specter of his departure for Ferrari, and the uncertain future melted away, leaving just the two of you, wrapped in a bubble of shared hope and newfound possibility.
As you pulled back, a breathless smile crept across your face. “So, how does it feel to have a real girlfriend?” you teased, feeling a surge of joy.
Carlos grinned, his eyes sparkling. “I think I could get used to this.”
“Let’s just enjoy the moment,” you said softly, echoing his father’s words.
“Yeah, let’s do that,” he agreed, and for the first time, you felt like everything might just be okay after all. . . . .

The soft classical music echoed through the grand wedding hall as the doors opened, the whole room turning around to see you standing there, bouquet in hand, waiting to finally walk down the aisle towards the love of your life.
Your family were all standing in the front row, tissues already dabbing at the tears falling down their cheeks.
On the opposite side, Charles' mother stood alongside his older brother, her eyes shining with unshed tears.
Everyone had been waiting for this day ever since you and Charles got together. They all knew you would end up getting married, they could tell that you were made for each other.
The day when you announced your engagement, both of your families cheered and jumped up and down in excitement, happy that both of their children had found love with each other.
And now, here you were, 4 years after the first night he had kissed you and asked you to be his girlfriend, walking down the aisle to finally seal your future together.
You turned your head to look at your father, who was already looking at you with a fond smile on his face.
"Are you ready?" he whispered, his eyes sparkling as he looked at his little girl, all grown up and ready to get married to the love of her life.
You smiled and took a deep breath before you nodded, turning around to face the hall once again.
The two of you slowly started to walk towards the aisle, your eyes finding Charles' and your gaze never faltering. You could see, even from far away, that he was struggling not to cry, seeing you in your wedding dress and knowing that you were going to be his wife in less than half an hour making him more emotional than he thought it would.
The guests gazed in awe at you as you walked past them, your wedding gown flowing effortlessly after you.
When you finally reached Charles and your father gave you away to him, you were barely holding your tears in.
"Hey" Charles whispered as you now stood in front of him, smiling through the tears.
"Hey" you whispered back, turning around slightly to pass your bouquet to your maid of honor, who happened to be your sister-in-law, Charlotte.
Turning back to him, you got lost in his eyes, the whole world around you ceasing to exist.
Neither of you registered what the priest was saying, too lost in each other. So many unspoken words were being exchanged between the two of you, vows that this moment was forever.
"And now, you may kiss the bride"
Those were the words that finally snapped you out of your daydream and brought you back to reality.
Charles gave you a wide smile before he closed the gap between the two of you and pressed his lips against yours, holding your face in one hand and keeping a tight hold on your waist with the other.
The entire church hall cheered and clapped as they rose to their feet, yours and Charles' mothers visibly dabbing their eyes with tissues every now and then.
Every single guest was on their feet, whistling as Charles didn't seem to want to let you go.
"Charles" you said as you giggled against his lips, your cheeks flushed as you knew everyone was staring at the two of you.
Charles, your now husband, smiled and gave you one last peck before he finally pulled away, his eyes twinkling as he looked at you.
Turning back towards the hall, Charles took your hand in his and raised both of them above your heads, smiling widely as your guests cheered even louder and threw flowers up in the air.
You giggled as you looked at Charles before you started walking down the steps and towards the double-oak doors you just stepped through mere minutes ago.
But now, you were walking out a married woman.
♡♡♡♡♡
The wedding reception was everything you had dreamed it would be and so much more.
The venue was decorated exactly as you and Charles had envisioned it, with adorning flower arrangements, twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling, elegant chandeliers adorned with flower vines.
Everything seemed taken out of a fairytale book.
The hours faded away as everyone gathered at the venue. The band was playing soft music in the background, everyone dancing quietly with their partners on the dance floor.
You and Charles were in the middle of the dance floor, swaying slowly to the music, your foreheads resting against each other.
"Can you believe we're married?" you whispered, opening your eyes to gaze up at him.
He smiled at you, his arms tightening around your waist to bring you even closer to him.
"I can't thank my lucky stars enough than I can now officially call you my wife" he said, leaning his head down to trail small kisses up and down the exposed skin of your neck.
You giggled, his his breath tickling your skin.
“Charles, there’s people all around us. Please do try and have some patience until we get to our suite” you whisper in his ear, an undertone of sensuality laced in your voice.
Charles groaned silently in your ear, his hands tightening his hold around your waist.
“Can’t we just go now?” he whispered again, leaving open mouthed kisses along the side of your neck.
You shook your head, giggling as you held the back of his neck.
“Charles, we’re only getting married once. Let me enjoy our wedding before we get to enjoy our wedding night later” you said, accentuating the word later.
Charles pouted for a second, but then nodded and smiled at you.
He knew how much you had been looking forward to getting married, how stressed you had been while you were planning everything with his mother and your sister-in-law for the months leading up to the wedding.
He owed you the wedding of your dreams, he owed it to you to give you the time of your life on this special day for your life together.
And so, as the night wore on, everything was a blur. People were dancing, everyone was mingling with each other, drinks were shared and the famous cake came at midnight.
Everything was perfect.
And when it finally ended and it was time for you and Charles to retreat back to your apartment, that’s when the real fun would begin.
♡♡♡♡♡
"You're so beautiful, and all mine" Charles whispered into the shell of your ear, his sweaty body pressed deliciously against yours.
The two of you had barely made it to your suite once the wedding party had ended, Charles' hands desperately toying with the lace at the back of your wedding gown.
And now, he had you sprawled on the hotel room queen sized bed, your wedding down carefully placed on a chair, his suit thrown somewhere on the ground, and his only focus was you.
“Charles” you moaned, scratching at this back with your nails.
He felt so good, reaching spots inside of you that had you seeing stars and losing yourself in the feeling of him.
Charles was driving his length in and out of you, making sure that you felt every single inch that he had to offer you.
“My wife, my beautiful wife, I’m so lucky to have you all to myself like this” he whispered, slowing down his thrusts to lean down and take one of your nipples in his mouth.
His tongue was swirling your nipple around in his mouth, all the while his hips were thrusting in and out of you with a soft urgency.
Your nails were digging into the skin of his back, soft whimpers leaving your mouth every so often.
The feeling of him was overwhelming, the passion with which he was making love to you making your head go dizzy.
His cock was reaching depths inside of you like never before, the stretch of your walls burning deliciously to accommodate his thick length.
“Charles” you whined out when his cock hit a particularly sensitive part inside of you.
He responded by giving you yet another deep stroke, and another, and another until all you could get out were whines and moans, your hands still clawing at his back.
“Are you close, mon cœur?” Charles whispered in your ear, his lips and his hot breath ghosting against your hot skin.
You bit your lip and nodded, not trusting your voice in the moment.
Charles smirked, groaning as he felt your walls pulsating around his length. He kept peppering open-mouthed kisses along the skin of your exposed neck, his hips giving you deep thrusts.
His hand gravitates towards your heated core, his thumb finding your overstimulated bundle of nerves.
Your back arched as his thumb made contact with your clit, your eyes rolling in the back of your skull. You were so close, you could feel every single nerve in your body tingling and burning as the pit in your stomach drew closer and closer.
“I’m so close” you panted out, your mouth agape.
Charles growled and sped up his thrusts, rubbing even harder and quicker on your clit, chasing his own high as he felt your walls start to pulsate against him.
You moaned out loudly, your mind going fuzzy as you suddenly came around his cock, your body arching and your legs wrapping themselves tightly around Charles’ waist.
Your fingers drew blood against his back, your nails digging into his skin as your body shook with the aftershocks of your intense orgasm.
“Oh, fuck” Charles groaned out as he struggled to thrust between your tight walls, giving you a couple more thrusts before he buried himself to the hilt, spurting rope after rope of cum inside of your tight walls.
The both of you panted in unison, Charles tensing every now and then as you milked him dry of his cum, the warmth inside of your womb delicious.
“That was…” you started, resting your head against the pillow.
Charles chuckled, leaning down to kiss you on the forehead, cradling the side of your face in one of his hands.
"Amazing? Incredible? Unearthly?" he said, his eyes twinkling as he still held himself up over your body, his length still sheathed inside of your gummy walls.
You giggled, biting your lip as you nodded.
"Our first time as husband and wife" you said, your voice dreamy as you stared at the man that you can now call your husband.
Charles smiled, taking in your features illuminated by the moonlight.
"That's right" he whispered, leaning down to seal your new chapter together with a kiss.
Your new life as husband and wife.
