part of the problem with writing is that i have often used writing as a way to hold my issues with the real world at enough of a distance that i can spin them around and play with them and vent some of the emotional distress that experiencing them has caused. however now when i am writing i have maybe 5 minutes before my hands start screeching at me and given as the major limitations imposed on me by physical disability is one of the Worst real-word problems i'm dealing with rn the distance evaporates and i'm just stressed and angry and tapped into emotions that i can't effectively vent or ignore. which sucks balls.
meanwhile i've primarily used visual art to enter a trance state where i have no thoughts beyond color and shape so while my hands still feel fuckedupbad after i've been holding a brush or tablet pen for hours i don't experience that pain while i'm creating and creating doesn't open the cap on my big bottle of feelings. so it doesn't make me have breakdowns to attempt.
also cause keyboarding is repetitive impacts on my fingertips that travel really well up my nerves and holding a brush/pen is just freezing my hand into a dreadful claw. hurts less overall.

It's 2024 can we please stop saying it's normal to trace or copying an entire drawing and pretending it's 100% your work? Just bc you changed the character or added clothes on a base you found on pinterest it doesn't mean you created original art
#wren text tag#tw: vent#like tracing and copying are morally grey. If you want to trace to learn stuff or practice or study it's ok ig#maybe don't post it online or if you have to... don't trace from picture/other people artworks/bases you found online w/o giving credits#unless it's a base an artist made specifically for tracing purposes#I think this depends on where you draw the line bc I'm much more strict abt copying/tracing from art rather than photographs 🤔#at least with photos you have to do some mental exercise for your muscle memory + simplification studies#personally I don't like tracing bc it feels lazy like are you a copyprinter 😐🤨#this vent needs some lore otherwise this looks so fucking umpromted it's almost confusing 🙄🙄🙄#kinda found out sb who was copying or tracing both from fucking pose references from Pinterest and other people artworks 😅#like poses ref ig they are ok but you should check the Terms of Condition of the original artist first. For the artworks plagiarized. DUDE#surprised no one has found out yet but if I see another copied drawing my netiquette is leaving my body and I'm turning into a HATER#or another comment like “omg your poses looks so dynamic”. I'm flying#btw I blocked them so my dash is free. Sadly we are also in the same disc server so I'm kinda cooked#thinking of leaving it so I don't have to start drama and discussions. I'm not a fan of call-out and stuff and if I can avoid it I will#btw I say copied/traced bc some are traced over while others are hopefully just eyeballed. What bothers me is the amount of plagiarized art#like almost half of those fanarts are copied poses. The other half are character standing on a white bg. I hope those aren't copied as well#it's already bad... but if only was just for the bases. That one traced artwork can almost be damaging to the fanbase reputation 🤦‍♀️ smh#there are only a few artist in that part of the fandom I don't need an art thief drama. I guess I will shut up and look away 😑#anyway that's the lore which didn't help with my Art Block. Actually it made worse. That's why it took me so long to be back lol 🤣😂😭#pov: you log on tumblr 🥰 and you have an art crisis 😍#Are u telling me I could have done that? Copying and tracing and taking all the credits instead of wasting time learning anatomy?! 🤯#Ok the last tag was sarcastic but wouldn't be funny. Loved vagueposting tho 💖🥰#And now that this post is published I can finally rest. I had this thing in drafts since September#To whom is asking about who this person is. I won't tell. I just want to forget what I saw. Ty and bye 💖✨️

Facts about your body after you turn 25, AKA things I wish someone had told me:
you will get hair in fun new places. this is normal and fine.
these places include (but are not limited to) if you don't already have them: your asscrack, your back, your ears, and moles. it's fine.
some of you, dick or not, will also lose hair. this is normal, but also if you have ovaries maybe get this checked out for PCOS.
your acne will probably change. some people get better. some people get worse. it's fine.
your nails will probably get an infection or a fungus at least once in your life. this is fine. (but also let your doc know).
how you gain and lose fat and where you do so will change. this is fine.
how you smell will change. this is fine. (fishy or rotten smells mean doctor time though)
if you have a prostate: it gets harder to pee. prostates enlarge as you age (get this checked regularly). this is fine.
if you do not have a prostate: it gets easier to pee but not in a good way. as in as you get older, your pelvic floor muscles tend to lose some of their strength. this makes it harder to keep pee in. this is fine.
all breasts and pectorals eventually sag, with the rest of your body. this is fine.
a decent percent of the population will experience a cyst at least once. some of you will make up for the rest with multiple. this is fine, but keep them checked out by a doctor. (sometimes this is a condition! get checked for that too!)
almost half of everyone gets hemorrhoids. it's a good idea to just expect them since your chances of getting them get higher the older you are. your toilet will look like a murder scene. definitely get your booty checked out BUT this is almost always perfectly normal. just eat more fiber. "but I already-" eat more fiber. and maybe suck it up and buy some hemorrhoid cream, you'll thank me later.
yes, this means you will probably need to make an appointment for a doctor to see your butthole. it's okay. not only do they really not care but 1. they've seen weirder that day and 2. they'd far rather you see them now than later when it's been going on for forty years and now it might be colon cancer. it's okay. consider it a rite of passage.
adults need more sleep than children. don't believe the myth that you need less than they do. that is capitalist propaganda to make you give up more of your life to the work grind, comrade.
vitamins and medicine, something you are more likely to take as you get older, sometimes make the toilet turn weird colors. it's okay.
if you still have your tonsils and get those little stones and get sore throats more than once a year you should plan on getting those suckers out before the tonsils cause an infection and go septic. if you're getting stones at all you should get those reevaluated every year, especially if the stones are bigger than a needlehead (or get bigger over time). it's gross and yucky. I don't care. get them looked at before you end up in the hospital.
you'll probably need to add foot support to your shoes if you don't already do. this is fine.
your body changes. sometimes it can feel sorta weird and upsetting that it isn't what it used to be. that is okay, and it is okay to be upset. just know that this is normal, it's normal to be upset or not upset, but don't let it hinder your quality of life. trans or cis, there is a certain level of acceptance you just gotta give your body and forgive your body for as you get older. it's okay.
it's okay. I promise.

Jason Todd having a size kink and being possesive is very much a given, in my opinion.
౨ৎ warnings: size difference
────୨ৎ────
He died at fourteen as a tiny teenage boy and woke up in a different body, a grown body; and for a while he couldn’t stand that— couldn’t bear the sight of his broad shoulders and scarred chest. Couldn’t bear the sight of his arms and hands, that did not know how to be gentle, the ones he’d clawed his way back to life with.
He thought his noticeable physical condition was only beneficial for Red Hood: being big and intimidating helped him, being strong helped him. Red Hood did not feel or look out of place in the Gotham City night, lurking— in fact he fit there comfortably.
But in the daytime, when he walked around the street with his head down and shoulders hunched over he still felt like he stuck out like a sore thumb. That was before he knew you, after that things changed.
He couldnt fight the tight feeling in his chest (or the tent in his pants) when he saw you walk around his apartment in one of his old t-shirts. It was an old grey tee he’d gotten as a gift in a movie theater. The neckline of the shirt was wide, exposing one of your shoulders and it reached down to your mid-thigh.
Or that same feeling when you shouted his name from the kitchen, asking him to open a jar for you, or reach up to a cabinet for you.
And at the beginning he was calm about it, sweet; he’d come up behind you and reach over your shoulder for whatever you needed, hand it to you, and press a kiss to your cheek before returning to whatever he was doing before.
Or quickly open the pickle jar for you and return it with a little smile. He didn’t want to overwhelm you, didn’t want to discomfort you.
But then he noticed the way your breath hitched when he pressed up behind you, his warm chest stuck to your back, and he couldn’t help the heat that rose up to his cheeks and ears.
That’s when he started being less subtle about things. When you called for help in the kitchen he’d come up behind you, press himself against your back like he’d always done and ask what you needed.
“what’s wrong, ma?”
“can’t reach for the mug— it’s all the way back.”
He’d hum in acknowledgment and lean up to get it, his arm stretching past your head and up. Muscles straining against his t-shirt that was fighting for dear life at that instant.
That’s when your breath would hitch, your hips push back enticingly; he’d usually move away when this happened, press a kiss to your cheek or forehead and leave as quick as possible. But he didn’t do that. Instead, an arm wrapped around your waist, fully caging you against the counter, and he pressed his hips up against yours.
He liked that you found him attractive, he liked that when you looked at him, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds of basically pure muscle, white and pink scars littering his body— you saw him. You saw Jason Peter Todd, your loving boyfriend, and not the monster he’d thought people perceived him as.
He also liked the control he had over you, the way he could (and would) manhandle you to his liking; but he loved that you let him do it, because the moment you told him to stop he would, but you never did.
To Jason it wasn’t only about sex, it was more about trust, about feeling like he could protect you. He’d once believed his hands didn’t know how to be gentle but he doubted it now, as the pads of his fingers brushed your cheeks.

food headcanon that by the way, in all fandoms in which there are no supermarkets whether because historical or dystopian or, you know, it's Lost, Emma is going to be doing a LOT of hunting on the side because to be someone that active, who is training every day, and keep herself in shape, she needs to eat A LOT, and she's used to LOTS of proteins/carbs/fat, both meat and vegetables, and if she adapted to those fandom's diet she'd immediately get sick from the giant change of lifestyle and the sudden jump from like 2500kcal to 'barely eating' and given that she can tell her headaches can come from changes of diet and that she needs to eat a lot to keep up with her own activities there is NO WAY she's not doing the Most to make sure she keeps eating enough to sustain herself. Even more so if she has to protect others, she'll share the food but she knows that if she's the one fighting to protect them she needs to be extra well-fed.
she's not just genetically blessed, she works on being healthy trying to get the right amount of calories and sleep and rest, except for the times when she gets fixated on something.
