We ignore the mop that is my hair.
I also never knew there were people out there that don't know what a Bunnings is, so. Its a hardware and tool shop in Australia. Its like IKEA or Walmart but for everything DIY, trade, construction etc. I spend on average... let me think... WAY too long in these shops because they're HUGE.
Cons of a black hat. And fun fact, sweat bleaches your clothes. And I sweat, alot...
Unfortunately this post is not sponsored by Bunnings. Nor do I work there so I can't get an apron 🥲.
But, if any of yall can get your hands on one 😏, I could make things happen 🤘😅.

toni help i’m feeling very lesbian and i just feel like the boys would be such bad wing men in that sense. getting them to help me pick up girls is a terrible idea but it sounds hilarious
price has been loyally married since HS so he has no modern game. commodore 64.
kyle is still single, god only knows why, soap says, but it's cuz he can't pick up any sort of cues. he thinks any potential girl/guy coming his way is just being nice :)
soap is too aggressive. whilst his face is pretty, his abrasive attitude isn't. yaps their ear right off talking about nothing then offers them a walk back to his place. yikes.
and ghost. walking danger sign. anytime a girl looks at him, all she hears are those air raid sirens and knows to steer clear. hasn't been laid in years. game nonexistent.
#you're still better off with kyle#he won't be a wingman BUT you can ask him how would he approach someone#take notes#price is older in his ways#calls it courting lol

STAR WARS: Eleventh Fleet AU
Concept art for the Eleventh Fleet.
Finally got to Eli Vanto…
…however, among the Chaos of the Unknown Regions, he is better known as Eli'van'to or Ivant.
As the first human to join the Chiss Ascendancy, the future Commodore of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet was faced with a galactic sense of déjà vu as he recalled his youth under the leadership of an equally strange, red-eyed alien in the Imperial Navy. But, if earlier Eli was an assistant in the shadow of his… friend, now the main role fell to him.
Unlike Ronan, Eli's path was not as simple as it could have been. Both Karyn’s in the Empire and Eli’s in the Ascendancy - the status of “protégés” and assistants to the Grand Admiral simultaneously gave them advantages, but also entailed no less huge problems. Perhaps Vanto had it a little harder.
From a man from Lysatra who wanted to be an ordinary, inconspicuous supply officer, he became first a commander in the Imperial Navy, and then rose again to commodore in the Chiss.
Once upon a time, the Moff’s assistant, whose name Vanto deliberately forgot, said that he would either vegetate forever in Thrawn’s shadow, or the alien would drag Eli down with him. In a sense, she was indeed right.
However, it was not Mitth'raw'nuruodo, but Eli who built his destiny. He had many chances to leave, but… well… chiss, as always, was only a catalyst on the path of human stubbornly moving forward.
And Commodore Van'to's name was indeed a name to be reckoned with in the Unknown Regions.
And a few more “thoughts out loud” about Eli…
During his ten years outside the Galaxy, Vanto never joined any Family - neither the Rulings nor the Great. This distinguished the man even from the top of the Fleet, who "renounced" their "families" to serve the entire Ascendency.
At the same time, some families still left their mark on his Chains of Honor. And many after.
The chains will become a reflection of events, the secret of one of which Eli will keep “to the grave and even below it.”
However, despite his “neutrality”, in a sense, he now has a native “person” - girl-navigator Un'hee. Syndicure doesn't give up trying to place her in any family, but chiss always refuses and prefers to remain without a “family”.
And as if in retaliation to the “oldfart from Csilla,” teenager always introduces himself in Lesser Space as Unhee Vanto.
At that time, the poor Commodore swears to High General Ar'alani that he did not swear in Basic in front of the girl. Unfortunately, he often attended such meetings with admirals Tro'omis and Ma'kro, and only give them a reason to “criff” a colleague. To which one of them then received a response from Thalias and Sacheri.
…and the price for everything is the gray hair of the Supreme General.

Ah the Commodore C16! Built to be a cost-reduced business oriented machine, Commodore fumbled with pricing and marketing, which meant it mostly fought with the more capable Commodore 64. Hampered by it's limited 16k of memory and lackluster software library, the C16 and higher RAM sibling the Commodore Plus/4 both left the market not long after they arrived. Despite the faults, it has to be said that the C16 looks fantastic!

< Previous part ….. Next Part >
The afternoon sun burned bright in the sky, the white soft clouds slowly floating through the clear sky as birds happy let the light wind take them across the sea. It would have been so peaceful if it weren't for the cannon fire, yelling and metal banging against brick, The Victoria Punk quickly docked at the side of the prison letting the crew off to rampage and free their crew mates while others stayed behind to fire at the prison walls with the cannons. Kid had already left the ship before it even docked and Killer wasn't too far behind, the captain busted open the gates sending shock waves though the floating prison startling everyone inside. Marines run to protect the prison but are either shot, cut or punched hardly standing a chance against the Kid pirates, Kid had no idea where he was going, he just hit and gathered mental as he runs through the base, Killer following behind slicing up anyone who came after them. Wire and Heat know that Kid and Killer would be doing their own thing so the two split up taking a few crew members with them to search the cell area for their crew, it wasn't long until Wire came across the missing crew members. Boogie waves his hand threw the bars seeing his tall crew mate and a few others running down the hall "Wire" The four call out with happy smile's glad to be getting out of this place, the tall man simply nods before using his trident to slice open the bars to each cell letting them out.
The crew around him cheer as they reunite with each other but Wire raises an eyebrow at only seeing the four of them, before he can ask though Bubblegum runs up to him in slight panic "They took Y/n to the infirmary but The Commodore recognized her, he said her father would he furious and to keep her off the records." He quickly explains knowing Wire didn't have the time for long stories, the other three nod confirming what Bubblegum just said. "Get them out of here, I'll check the infirmary , if you see Heat on the way make sure to inform him of all this" The tall man commands the crew he brought with him before heading off to find the medical ward alone, Its true the crew don't know anything about your past, but they never thought to ask and you never brought it up. You had a few strange quirks but then again so did the rest of the crew who come from all over the South blue and some even from the Grand line. Walking into the infirmary Wire looks around seeing several patients in their beds, some tied down while the others seem to be passed out but none of them were you. A whimper catches his attention turning to look at the desk's down the other end of the room, walking over the tall man steps around the main desk to see a young woman wearing a nurses outfit cowering under it, she freezes with a squeak when seeing Wire staring down at her. "Where's Y/N, she was brought in last night or this morning" He asks not making a move towards her yet, he had no reason to hurt her unless she refused to answer his question.
Despite her seeming to know that he had no intention to harm her if she answered, she gave him a response the tall man didn't like "w-we've had no n-new patients" She stutters while trying to move further back in fear but her back is already pressed firmly against the wood, Wire lets out a sigh before bending down to look right at her "My crew said she was brought here so don't lie, where is she?" He asks again becoming impatient his eyes burning into her's making the young girl gulp in fear "I-i'm not lying, I-I can show y-you the records" She pants hoping not to get killed by the tall man. Wire thinks for a second while looking her over, something told him she was telling the truth, but he needed to be sure so using one hand he shoves the heavy wooden desk away causing her to let out a scream, but she makes no move to get up and run, it seems her body chose freeze this time. "Hurry up, i don't have time" Wire gestures towards the file cabinets while gripping his trident in his other hand ready to kill her if she tried to run, with a nod the young woman stands to her shaky feet and makes her way over to the file cabinets taking out the patient records for the past couple of days. Her hands are shaky at best but manages to take them out without dropping them and places them on the other wooden desk thats still standing, Wire steps closer causing the woman to back up to the wall as to not be in his way. Looking over the files it seems she was telling the truth, there isn't any records of any new additions but there were records of the four crew members being patched up then shoved in a cell. So its true that they didn't put you on record but there has to be a trace of you somewhere at least someone who saw you here, the nurse would have told him if she saw you, she's too scared not too.
The young nurse watches the pirate's every move until he shoves the files off the desk and turn to her, thinking she's going to die the young woman closes her eyes and bases for a painful death but instead she hears footsteps walking away. Peeking open her eyes she watches Wire walk towards the door after stepping over the wooden desk that he shoved to the floor and heads down the hall to inform his captain about all this, surprisingly leaving the nurse alive. Killer slices through yet another Marine that thought he could take the masked man on in a sword fight as he follows Kid's mess of destruction, he know's that if he lost sight of his captain all he had to do was follow the trail of bodies and broken walls to find him again. A few marines tried to take on Kid but their weapons where ripped out of their hands as the red head uses his devil fruit to pull them, along with other piece of metal over to him covering his already metal arm making it much bigger and stronger. With a laugh Kid swings the giant arm hitting the marines and the walls around him as Killer finally catches up and stops next to his captain looking around at the mess. Just as they were about to keep going footsteps run up behind them causing the two to turn ready for a fight only to see Wire run around the corner and over to the two. "You find everyone?" Killer asks as the tall man stops in front of them, his breathing is heavy from running, but he also seemed very annoyed or even angry.
Wire nods at the masked man before trying to inform the two of what he's just learned "The others are heading back to the ship, Y/n was taken to the infirmary when she got here but-" Before he can continue Kid groans and walks past his tall friend while rolling his eyes "Well what the hell you waiting for?" The captain yells staring to head to the infirmary but is stopped by Killer "Kid wait.. what were you going to say?" The masked man asks knowing something is wrong since Wire would have looked in the infirmary so why was he here without you. "She's not there, there's no record of her ever being here, th-" Wire's interrupted again this time by both Kid and Killer who yell loud enough he swears that everyone back on the Victoria can hear them "What?" Wire takes a breath mainly to clam his own anger and frustration of being interrupted again before turning to the captain. With his arms crosses over his chest Wire finally managed to explain what the others told him while not being interrupted by the two, he also explained how the young nurse had no idea who you were and that the files showed the four others but not you. The only person who might know where you are is the Commodore, but he hasn't been seen anywhere, Kid growls as he grits his teeth not understanding how things can go this wrong. Killer sighs trying to calm himself before thinking how to go about things but it isn't really working "We should find him, if he won't tell us then we'll just have to beat it out of him" The first mate states getting Kid to snap out of his hate filled gaze on his clenched metal hand.
Kid gives a big grin and a quick nod showing a clear liking towards the idea before heading off to find the Commodore's office with Killer and Wire following behind, the Commodore may not be in his office with all the fighting, but they've met marines of higher ranks that would rather cower away and let their lower ranked officers do the work than fight. The three sprint down the hall gradually feeling the aura change as they get closer to a much stronger person, soon enough a white coated marine appears coming out of his office while holding a small yellow bottle. Kid growls, anger boiling through him as he jumps up bringing his fist down on the Commodore who only managed to dodge at the last second, his cheek getting cut by the splintered wood that fly's through the air due to the force of Kid's metal arm hitting the wooden floor. Using the distraction Killer runs in swinging his blades at the white coated man who gasp as it slices his hand off, Wire runs in next bringing his trident down on the man aiming for his shoulder since they need him alive. Despite the situation the Commodore smirks popping the yellow bottle and quickly tipping it into his mouth before Wire can hit him, a burst of energy sends the three flying back, yellow lightning like power causes out of the man who screams in agony. Killer manages to get to his feet quickly stopping himself from sliding too far away as Wire tumbles a little more but uses his hand to push himself up stopping his body from continuing to roll. Kid shield's his face with his metal arm as his feet skid across the floor managing to stop himself before passing Killer.
The blinding yellow lightning and screams soon stops revealing the Commodore who pants while looking very different, the hand that was cut off has healed into a stump already and the mans already large frame was even bigger, his muscles bulging and almost pulsing as thick raised veins run across his whole body, even his face, the clothes he's wearing is ripped to shreds except or a bit around his groin area and the white coat hanging off his back by a string wrapped around his neck. "What the fuck?" Kid asks standing to his full height as the now large man throws his head back in laughter before looking at the three "I know your rash but i thought you'd at least ask me a question first" The Commodore smirks bringing a leg behind him to get into a fighting stance, Kid takes a step forwards with a smirk of his own knowing it's going to be a good fight but doesn't jump in just yet since Killer lightly placing his hand on the captains arm "Where's Y/n?" The masked man calls out even though he knows he's not going to get a straight answer from this man. "I don't know who your talking about" It was a obvious lie since the man clearly rolled his eyes that smirk never fading from his face. Kid rushes in gathering metal around him to make his metal arm large again before punching the marine who uses both of his arms to stop the punch, the captain didn't bother to ask questions instead focusing on the fight. Pulling his hand back the captain continues to punch and grapple with the large marine while Killer and Wire wait on the side lines knowing not to jump in just yet. "Sneak into the office, see what you can find" The masked man glances at the tall man who nods heading of to sneak into the Commodore's office.
Once Wire's out of view Killer joins the fight running over with his blade's spinning and going for the Marines legs, sliding past the masked man turns back only to see the commodore's leg's unharmed even though his blade differently cut though skin since there's blood on his blade. "Answer the fucking question" Kid yells as he blocks the Commodore's punch with his metal arm, some of the metal denting under the force making the captain grunt in annoyance, Killer runs back into the fight, jumping into the air and bringing his blades down on the marines back letting them dig in. The Commodore yells in pain and anger as his wounds try to heal even though there are blades stuck in his back. "Where is she" The masked man yells as the marine tries to reach back and grab him only to be punched in the face by Kid's large arm, thinking quickly the commodore runs backwards hoping to crush the blonde between him and the wall only for Killer to quickly catch on and brings his blades out, jumps off the marines back just before being crushes. Panting slightly the white coated marine swipes as Killer lands about to hit him when a chunk of metal hits his chest forcing the large back back into the brick wall making it crack under the pressure. Metal continues to swarm over pinning the man to the wall while Kid Chuckles walking up to his partners side "Tell us where she is and I'll make your death quick" Kid smirks looking at the struggling and panting marine who seems to have given up,the Commodore slowly looks up at the two letting a sick joyful smile from on his face. "i'm sorry to inform you but she's dead, her wounds were just too much for her" The captain extends his arm purple strings of light flowing from his hand as his eyes burn with anger.
Kid starts closing his fist making the metal around the commodore compress the pain of even thinking your dead makes it hard for him not to kill this guy "Liar" The captain yells but the marine shakes his head while struggling to get free "She's dead deal with it" The commodore yells managing to get one of his arms free, Killer's quick to act running over and stabbing his arm forcing the blades through and into the wall, the marine yells in pain trying to pull his arm away but their combined strength was too much even with what ever drugs he took. "We know she's alive, tell us where she is" The masked man growls using all his strength to keep the commodore's arm in place while Kid continues to try and squeeze the life out of him, before the commodore can answer Wire runs out of the office with an angry look "She's not here" their crew mate yells out causing the two to look over at him in surprise and confusion "There's no record of her but a ship left last night with a bunch of medial supply's and an extra passenger. It didn't say where it was heading though" The tall man explains before turning to the Commodore "But you were the one to order it" Kid growls while squeezing tighter making the marine caught up blood, Killer removes his blades from the mans arms watching as the wound starts to close shut leaving no scar behind. "Where are they taking her?" Kid yells out stepping closer to the large man who's still struggling, but he can tell the marine is getting weaker, the drugs must be wearing off with all the healing its having to do, when the Commodore refused to answer Kid grips harder causing the man to scream out in pain, his ribs cracking and organs being crushed "We can still follow her Vivre card but I'd like to keep him alive, so we can get information" Killer sighs looking to his partner.
The captain thinks for a second before nodding and loosens his grip, the sound of bones cracking back into place echos threw the hall along with a slight yellow glow coming out from under the metal arm holding him in place. "Shit not now" The commodore groans feeling his strength fade away, the yellow light causing through his veins making his large body start to shrink and muscles deflate. With a laugh Kid lets the marine go watching him fall to the floor, his skin turning gray and his lest over clothes hang loosely around his now skinny body, much skinnier than when he was normal. "Looks like you took those drugs for nothing, they couldn't even help you take us down and made you even weaker. Pathetic" The captain smirks before bringing his foot down on the crouched man forcing him to lay on his stomach with little effort. "Well at least it'll be a lot easier to get him to the ship" Wire states walking over to the two and looking down at the weak looking Commodore who's struggling to try and lift his own head up, its clear what ever drug he took has bad side effects but they have no time to think about that now so Killer grabs a nearby cable and hog ties the marine as the captain steps aside starting to head back the way they came. Wire follows close behind as Killer throws the commodore over his shoulder carrying him back to the ship.
----- The Victoria Punk-----
Things had stetted down now that the Victoria is far away from the destroyed and burning prison but what they hoped would a simple job as now turned into a longer and more complicated one. Wire went back to steering the ship using your Vivre card to show him which direction to go in while Heat and Reck where keeping an eye on the Commodore who's currently chained up in a dark room bellow deck. Kid and Killer make their way into the med bay seeing House just finishing up taking care of the crew mate's wounds, there wasn't much to do since the medical staff at the prison did a, ok job but the doctor could tell it was more of a rush job. "Boss" Boogie yells with a smile happy to see his captain again, the other three crew mates turn and smile too slightly cheering for their captain and first mate, Kid grins for a second before becoming serious "Tell me what happened" The captain states walking into the room as Killer closes the door behind them, The four start talking all at once causing the masked man to sigh "One at a time" Killer states as the four look at each other before nodding silently agreeing that Bubblegum and Boogie should be the ones to say what happened. It took a while of explaining since Killer kept asking for more details and what exactly the marines said about you word for word. "So you didn't get anything on her farther?" Killer asks as he leans against the wall with his arms crossed, Bubblegum shakes his head but Emma sits up from the bed she's laying on "we'll we had a talk about it all in the cell, and we all agree that he's not a marine since the Lieutenant mentioned that her farther has no power to fire them."
The other three nod but Kid turns to House who's washing her equipment her back facing them "House… You know anything? She must have told you something" The captain asks making the crazy haired girl jump a little at her name being call, you and her are best friends so it's only right to assume she'll know something about your family but unfortunately she didn't know much. Turning to face her captain and his first mate she wipes her hands clean while looking down at the floor "Only that she ran way because they did something unforgivable and that she renounced her last name" She states but Killer and Kid look at her surprised, they knew you ran away because of your parents but your last name was fake? "What?" The two ask causing the girl to jump again as Killer pushes off the wall to walk over to her, he wasn't trying to be intimidating but House shrunk away, backing up into the counter with wide eyes "I-i thought she would have told you" House tries to defend herself making the masked man realizes his actions, with a sigh Killer places a light hand on her shoulder to reassure her "Just tell us everything she told you, even if you think we know" Relaxing a little House nods as Kid walks over to the two crossing his arms over his chest and waiting for the doctor to talk "She never told me what her real last name was because if she told me then… I'd know too much. She was drunk at the time so i though maybe she was just being paranoid or drunkenly rambling. She said a lot of other random stuff that still don't make sense really" She sighs but the two stay quiet wanting her to go on.
House gathers her courage while trying to remember what you said years ago while drunk out of your mind, you confided in her and told her not to tell a soul, House promised she wouldn't but now she had to break that promise and spill your random and incoherent rambling to your partners. "She said her parents were disappointed she wasn't a boy, that she used to tutor kids even though she didn't go to school. She won a bunch of contests that she's not proud off, She has sibling that she lived with but didn't know anything about them and that leaving was the best destitution she ever made." Kid sighs pinching his nose, it didn't give them much to go on other than your family is most likely stuck up and important in some way, Killer removes his hand from House's shoulder and gives her a nod, it did sound like drunken rambling but it did give him a few hints and maybe something to use in order to make the Commodore slip up while questioning him. "Thanks guy's, get some sleep before dinner, Papa's is cooking tonight since I've got another job to do" Killer states earning groans from around the room that he tries to hold a laugh back at "Papa's is the best out of a bad bunch, so they'll have to put up with it until Killer's free enough to cook again." Kid snaps even though he knows how bad the man's food is, Killer grips onto the captain's while gesturing to the door earning a gruff hum from the red head. Walking out the two hear the yelling of their crew behind them calling out their goodbyes and thanking them before the door is shut "What are you thinking?" Killer asks as the two walk side by side down the hall heading to the dark room where the marine is. "Just… Rich pricks" Kid huffs getting the masked man to let out a low chuckle in agreement.

🇬🇧 Immerse yourself in the captivating world of computing through the Sinclair ZX Spectrum—a groundbreaking microcomputer that captured the imagination of an entire generation!
In 1980, the visionary British entrepreneur and scientist, Sir Clive Sinclair, entered the home computer market with the ZX80 priced at £99.95, marking the era's most affordable personal computer in the United Kingdom. A year later, the ZX81 hit the high street, introducing home computing to a generation, with over 1.5 million units sold.
💻 Released in 1982 by Sinclair Research Ltd., the Sinclair ZX Spectrum swiftly became one of the most iconic home computers of its time. It dominated the UK's computer sales market, fiercely competing against Commodore and Amstrad. This compact and budget-friendly machine brought computing into countless households.
🕹️ Powered by the Zilog Z80A CPU running at 3.5 MHz and equipped with either 16 KB or 48 KB of RAM, the ZX Spectrum sported a sleek, compact design resembling a keyboard with rubber keys, making it innovative and approachable. Its graphics and sound capabilities were ahead of their time, enabling vibrant games and applications.
⌨️ One of the ZX Spectrum's standout features was its vast library of games. From classics like "Manic Miner" and "Jet Set Willy" to innovative titles developed by enthusiasts, the Spectrum's game collection remains a cherished part of gaming history. The computer's BASIC programming language also inspired users to create their own software.
🖥 Despite modest hardware specifications, the ZX Spectrum nurtured a lively community of developers and enthusiasts, serving as a gateway into the world of programming and digital creativity.
🚀 Over its lifespan, the ZX Spectrum evolved with new models, including the ZX Spectrum+, ZX Spectrum 128, and ZX Spectrum +2, each offering enhanced performance and features while retaining the beloved design.
📺 The ZX Spectrum's impact extended beyond its hardware, playing a pivotal role in the British computing scene, inspiring future generations of programmers and entrepreneurs. Its legacy resonates in modern computing and gaming through emulators and remakes that keep its spirit alive.
📊 At the peak of its success and largely inspired by the Japanese Fifth Generation Computer program, the company established the "MetaLab" research centre at Milton Hall near Cambridge to pursue advanced projects like artificial intelligence, wafer-scale integration, and formal verification.
💔 Financial difficulties in 1985, brought on by the failures of the Sinclair QL computer and the TV80 pocket television, led Sinclair to sell the rights to its computer products and brand name to Amstrad in 1986. Sinclair Research Ltd continued as a one-man company, marketing Clive Sinclair's inventions until his passing in September 2021.

Going through an old email and found this from 2019. It explores my hc of Drakken’s extended family (specifically his daddy issues) as well as their reluctance to become parents.
By this time I was already drifting from the fandom (personally I never fade out of fandoms completely, I always just linger after I’ve had my fill), so the characters might be a little ooc, idk.
Warning: NSFW content.
Title: Hello/Goodbye
Drakken didn’t like talking about his dad. Even after they started dating, he rarely spoke about it. One time, she remembers, while staying at his old family home, his mother mentioned a man called Percival during dinner. Drakken visibly tensed at the mentioning of his name, so Shego changed the subject and Mama Lipsky went off on a rant about half priced grape juice at her local market.
Later that night, while Mama Lipsky was busy washing dishes—both Drakken and Shego offered to help, but she insisted she could do it alone—Drakken showed her the wall where his mother displayed all her family photos. His family was Jewish, but non practicing. He far preferred Snowman Hank and all things Christmas. But remnants of that culture lingered on the wall, especially in the old photos. “The black and white photo with the couple frowning at the camera are my grandparents,” he said. “Grandpa died when mother was just a teen. My baba died when I was ten.” He also showed her a picture of a young Motor Ed, looking more innocent than radical, crying while standing next to a goat. “He was afraid the goat might bite him, like it did the year before, but Aunt Libby wanted the photo,” Drakken told her. Then he showed her a picture of his Uncle Robert, who died when he was eight. “He was the best babysitter,” he said, “because he made chili dogs and let us build a blanket fort in the living room.”
In the center was a picture of Drakken with a birthday cake. He was small, five said the candles before him. In the background there was a man sitting in a chair, looking off in the distance, away from the birthday boy.
“Who’s that?” she asked, pointing.
He only shook his head and moved on to the next photo: a picture of him and Ed with their mothers and grandmother with Drakken clutching onto his grandmother, his “Baba.” He looked so happy.
Years passed and he still had trouble talking about his father. Once he cried on Shego’s shoulder; a few other times he got so angry about it, his blue face turned purple. “He had another family, you know,” he mentioned once.
After the crying stopped, they made love in the room that used to be Drakken and Ed’s childhood bedroom. Now it was a mix between a study and a guest room. They started out on the creaky couch bed, but moved to the grandfather chair when Drakken became paranoid about his mother hearing them.
They had no protection because they weren’t planning to have sex with Mama Lipsky just behind the thin wall. But he seemed so sad and it was the only way she knew how to comfort him. It was their first time making love. At least it was her first time making love to him; he could have been making love to her all the times they had been together. She watched his face carefully as he struggled not to come, stroking his back gently. It was then she realized. And she had the urge to sigh out the dreaded L word as he penetrated her, but she didn’t. She waited until they were vacationing in the Bahamas three weeks later. She gave him a hand job snuggling in a hammock and the words slipped out like the come inside of him. But that night, in his old bedroom, she stayed quiet. His mother was in the other room.
Shego found out she was pregnant while Drakken was house sitting for Mama Lipsky some years later. She had been feeling ill all week and she finally decided to see a doctor about it. By that time, Commodore Puddles was Mama Lipsky’s dog fully and Drakken called her complaining about how demanding the dog was. She kept quiet about the pregnancy on the phone, and she really wasn’t listening to anything he was telling her, but at the end of the conversation he begged her to come over to keep him company.
She told him yes.
They were back in the old creaky bed, because Drakken did not feel comfortable sleeping in his mother’s room, nor in the room his Baba died in. He asked her why she was so quiet, if it was something he said at dinner—he had taken her to an old Italian deli that was once his favorite place in the world. She pretended that it was something over dinner. But when he kept nagging at her, she finally blurted out the truth.
He was too calm for her liking. “Oh,” came his response much later. He rolled on his back and looked up at the ceiling, instead of at her. “That explains it.”
She burnt her pillow and threw it at him, then went to sleep in his dead Baba’s creepy old room. She took care of her brothers most of her life. That should be enough.
They fought the next morning. Drakken was angry, and exhausted, because they had only talked about having kids once and they both, he thought, agreed they did not want any. “Well… things happen,” was Shego’s quick witted response, uncertainty consuming her. After the yelling stopped, they sat down at the Lipsky’s ancient kitchen table and talked until noon. Things were discussed, and other things were decided. And suddenly they felt so separate. Pain lingered. She wanted only to take back the, “I love you.” Bit her tongue instead.
“Nrgh, this isn’t what we wanted!” The words surrounded them, haunting them as time passed. Mama Lipsky was the only one who seemed happy. She proudly framed the sonogram and hung it on her wall of family pictures, right below the picture of Drakken and his dad at his fifth birthday party. She wanted to celebrate. Shego left almost immediately. Drakken stayed a few extra weeks.
They made up, sort of, when he eventually came home. Sex. Always sex, rarely any talking. But nothing felt the same.
Nine months later, fourteen days before Drakken turned fifty, Shego’s water broke. It wasn’t like how she saw in the movies. Her body ached, sweat glistened all over. She was sitting up the entire time, her hands gripping the rails on each side of her, with a focused expression on her face. A pale Drakken stood dutifully beside her, waiting…
And suddenly a small whimper—Drakken’s—as the doctor proclaimed he could see the head. She saw only fear and knew he was thinking about him. It had always been about him.Where was he, Drakken’s… Percival? Was he even still alive? They don’t talk about it. Not even Mama Lipksy.
“It’s a girl,” somebody declared, sounding more like an echo than a nearing voice.
With one final push, it was out: gooey, crying in the gloved hands of the doctor. Something burst within Shego as it was placed on her chest, feeling so foreign in her arms, so breakable.
Drakken’s eyes remained glued to the crying thing clutched to her chest. Was she what they wanted? The nurses took her before she could decide and she closed her eyes. They called her “Mama” while doing so. Mama Lipsky was Mama. Shego was… Shego. Was this what she wanted? Exhaustion consumed her; she felt herself fading.
She awoke in an empty room. No crying. No doctor. No… She searched for any sign of him. Nothing. He was gone.
Alone.
He was nearly fifty. She was pushing forty. Not to mention they were criminals, technically—with a few new loopholes, but still… She was on the no fly list, banned from entering twenty-something countries in just Europe alone.
Sitting up, she yanked out her IV and the alarm set off. Maybe she could start a new life in Bermuda or somewhere. But when bare feet met hospital tile, tiredness once again took over. She could not find the strength to fight her way out.
The door was ajar with hurried footsteps coming near it. Shego extended her arm for the nurse to mend it, already formulating some lie about how it fell off while she was asleep.
“Um, I have to go now, mother,” came Drakken’s voice, clearly. He stepped inside with the baby cradled in his arms and his phone up to his ear balanced by his lifted shoulder and craned neck. “All right. I love you. Call you later.”
Did he tell his mother he loved her? Without her nagging at him first? And did he openly promise to call her later? What kind of drugs did the doctor have her on?
Struggling at first, unable to cradle the baby with only one hand, he easily decided to let his phone slide out of his grip and onto the ground. The baby remained unfazed, calm in the comfort of his big blue arms. “Shego… what’s wrong? What happened?”
“Um, nothing.” She allowed herself to lay back down. He moved to her side, again struggling to do anything with the baby in his arms. She pulled the sheets up to cover herself, and he simply watched on. “I just… thought you left.”
“Oh.”
The nurse came trodding in, muttering something about patients needing to follow directions. He fixed the alarm and then the IV, making it extra tight this time to assure the incident would not happen again. And he was gone again in an instant, as another nurse poked her head in asking her for help.
Drakken and Shego’s focus remained on the sleeping baby the entire time. She had Drakken’s nose… maybe his everything else, too. It was too early to tell. She was white, but tan in comparison to all the blue around her.
“That was mother,” he clarified after a moment, gesturing to his phone abandoned now on the ground. His unibrow raised. “Oh, um, Mazel tov, she told me to say.”
“Lemme guess, her mama senses were tingling. She phoned because she knew I’d be out cold.”
“I called her, actually.” He sniffled. She realized, suddenly, he had been crying.
“Oh.” She sat up and pain shot through her, like a thousand needles stabbing at her insides. The drugs were wearing off. And her mind was clearing. “Look… I know this isn’t exactly—”
The baby’s face wrinkled and she began to cry. Drakken tried cooing her, rocking her back and forth to ease her back to sleep. His movements were awkward but gentle… loving. Another nurse entered, the one who needed help before. She smiled, gesturing to Shego. “Sounds like it’s time for your first feeding, mama.”
Mama. It still felt so foreign. Would they call Drakken’s mom Baba Lipsky now? Mama Shego sounded so sour in her mouth.
“Feeding?” questioned Drakken, hesitating before handing the baby over to the nurse, who then gently placed it in Shego’s reluctant arms. The curtain was drawn, the nurse stripped her from her gown, and then angled the tiny mouth to her breast. It latched, instinct taking over. “Oh. Feeding.”
The baby was back in Drakken’s arms about an hour later. He told her he couldn’t understand. All this time his mother loved him this much. And he couldn’t understand, until now. The confession took her by surprise. He seemed unfazed.
He slipped back into his old self easily; she still needed more time. “I can see it so clearly, Shego. My greatest idea yet… A play house! With a blue door and a garden—ooh, and a full kitchen set.” And he stopped, suddenly looking at her with uncertainty. “Um, Shego?”
She blinked. “Yeah?”
“Is the plan still to take over the world?”
Something inside her ached. It had been, hadn’t it? Taking over the world one day. Even after all these years. Even after all their defeats. But now, she honestly could not say.
A/N: My hc for these two as parents is Drakken finally finding something he’s good at and enjoys (sort of becoming the new mama lipsky) while Shego becomes reluctant/unsure about her goals in life. Also, I always hc them being older parents ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

its so wild to me how some of the most important brands in computer history just.
dont exist anymore.
Commodore was responsible for introducing low cost computers to generations of people with it's Vic 20 and C64, and taught countless people with Commodore Pets in classrooms. Now all their assets are just names split between different businesses.
Atari brought gaming home, and some of the first 8 Bit computers as well. Now their name is just a stain on the box of Plug and Play consoles.
Compaq was responsible for the first ever IBM clones, bringing upon the dawn of the modern personal computer and at much cheaper prices than IBM. Now they're a defunct subsidiary of HP.
Tandy was huge in the 8 Bit era, and they popularized a graphics processer that was so much better than any prior graphical solution on MS-DOS computers so much that it became known as Tandy Graphics and Sound, even though it wasnt made by them. Now Radio Shack entirely is gone.
eMachines is pretty much the entire reason computers are mostly cheap now, their aggressive pricing against the market's competition forced the entire industry to cut their prices. Now all they are is a footnote in Apple documentaries about brands that copied the iMac G3.
And like, you'll never have brands like this again. There's no such thing as an "iconic" computer anymore, theyre all reskins of eachother. Commodore had the Vic 20, the C64, the 128, the Amiga, all icons. Atari had the 2600 console and the 400 and 800 computers. Tandy had the TRS 80, Color Computers. Compaq had their portable series. eMachines had the eOne. All icons in their own right, all unique, all special.
I cant think of a tech brand today that anyone would notice was gone. But these. These were special to people. And now theyre gone. Nothing remains.
[i also just realized. Commodore AMIGA. Its the commodore friend. this computer was your friend. and the box of every computer commodore made said welcome to the world of friendly computing. :( ]

ok please tell us about the tandy-memorex vis :D
OKAY the Tandy Memorex Video Information System is a hilarious console that Tandy/Radio Shack came up with in 1992.
It's called the Tandy-Memorex VIS partially to distance itself from Tandy, but Memorex was owned by Tandy at the time, and this is entirely their fault. Back in 1992, the CD-ROM was the NEW HOT THING and everyone wanted to get in on that. Arguably every console that tried failed to some degree or another, until the Sony Playstation in 1994. But the VIS failed spectacularly hard, selling something like 11,000 units, and Radio Shack was nearly giving them away towards the short lifespan of the console (1992-1994).
It got about 20 games, and another 24 releases that could charitably be called "multimedia products". Things like encyclopedias, photo albums on assorted issues, and spoken-illustrated-book things with minimal animation. Of those 20 games, many of them were edutainment games, things like word puzzles, math games, drawing tools along the lines of kid-pix (on a console with no way to save pictures or print them out, so... yeah).
On top of this, it cost 699$. IN NINETEEN NINETY FUCKING TWO. Plug that into an inflation calculator and it comes out at about one and a half thousand dollars, for a console with barely any games and the ones that it did come with are designed for the little kiddies. This thing never had a market.
But here's the thing that makes it so memorable to me: While the games available for it were not interesting, and it's just another example of a failed CD-ROM console alongside the endless failed or barely-survived ones that littered the early-90s... (Every played a CD-i, 3DO, NeoGeo CD, PC-FX, FX Towns Marty, LaserActive, Commodore CD-TV or Amiga CD32? How about one of the add-ons, the Sega CD, TurboGrafx-CD, or Atari Jaguar CD? Hell, this is what the Nintendo Playstation was supposed to be, before that deal went sideways and it became two separate consoles)
The thing is that technologically the VIS is super unique because it's an idea that wouldn't really be repeated until 2001, nearly a decade later: The VIS is a console that's a computer.
Yeah, I know, all consoles are computers (except maybe arguably some early pong units), but I mean like a desktop PC. The Tandy-Memorex VIS is an IBM PC clone running Windows!
(EDIT: Accidentally submitted too early)
It's a modular windows, a sort of embedded-windows that only runs off a ROM chip, but it's still an Intel 286 with a relatively normal VGA card, a megabyte of RAM, and a 1X CD-ROM drive. This thing could basically play a ton of DOS games, it would just be a matter of some basic porting.
And it just never happened. Instead all the games are custom-designed edutainment/multimedia things, and no one ported Duke Nukem or Commander Keen or Kings Quest to it (Actually Sierra did make a test port of Kings Quest 5, but it never came out. Reportedly it was slow as hell)
It could have been a very interesting console that let us play tons of DOS games in the living room in 1992, but Tandy mismanaged it with the ridiculous price and bad policy regarding games releases which meant it never really amounted to anything.
Anyway I've got one in my room right now, and I'm planning on building a CD-ROM emulator for it so I can easily play around with making homebrew with it. I want to port a bunch of DOS games to it and make it reach its potential, like Tandy should have done in 1992.
They already had a successful line of PC compatibles in the Tandy 1000, and the VIS is partially made of advancements they developed for that weird line of computers. If they had leaned into that angle, sold it at a better price, they could have really built something special. So many advanced DOS games (and even more advanced ones made possible by the CD-ROM format) that would blow away anything else in the console market in 1992 could have been VIS releases. Instead we got some (barely-)FMV games and a bunch of sub-par Math Blaster and Reader Rabbit clones on a console that no one wanted to buy because it was too damn expensive.

I wanted to make a May the 4th post dedicated to my Star Wars f/os yesterday, but I gotta be honest I just did not have the energy ._. So I'm just gonna do it now though!
I never really talked much about my Star Wars f/os on here because despite having 5 of them (maybe more if you count platonics), they're all secondary f/os and I hardly find the time to dedicate art or writing to them. They still mean a lot to me though and I think they're wonderful and interesting characters, so here they are💕
First up, Grand Admiral Thrawn/Mitth'raw'nuruodo, I first got to know him properly through Rebels (I knew he had existed in the Legends universe before already but didn't particularly care about him) and not going to lie, for a while I found him really annoying. He seemed very arrogant to me and I didn't get how he could always be a step ahead of the rebels, but I learned to understand and appreciate him, and somehow I fell in love with him eventually. At the time he was probably the strongest fictional crush I ever had (this man literally made me question my asexuality at some point - I didn't know that micro-labels like grey-, demi- or fictosexual were a thing back then). I didn't know about the existence of a self ship community back then, but in my head I shipped a character that was basically myself with him (with a few changes of course, like I was 16 at the time but my s/i was obviously a grown adult, the story I had in mind for her wouldn't have made sense otherwise anyway). I also started writing character x reader fanfictions about him! I finished a few one-shots, but the only multi-chapter story I started has unfortunately been laying around abandoned for a few years. I still kind of want to write an ending for it one day, but I don't know when that will happen. I struggled with my feelings for Thrawn after some uncomfortable experience with a former acquaintance in the Star Wars community, but as this is luckily in the past and maybe I can reconnect with him some day (In the meantime I'd love to meet other Thrawn shippers who are comfortable sharing him!). Regardless of that my love for him has had a significant influence on me, because without him I would've probably never made my art instagram account (the first social media account I made aside my personal insta account that I never use) and wouldn't have met many of my wonderful online friends.
Next up, Admiral Ar'alani, she's gorgeous and at least partially responsible for my bi awakening. I mean just look at her! Due to being a book character she's probably kind of underrated and less well known, I'd love to see an animated series about her and the crew of the Steadfast! I loved her in the Thrawn trilogy, I still have to read the Ascendancy trilogy though.
Commodore Karyn Faro probably wins the price for the most underrated f/o among them (also F in the chat for her for having literally 2 canonical depictions in a comic and no other visual reference, that's why I had to choose a slightly silly picture for her). I loved reading from her perspective in the Thrawn trilogy and I always enjoyed her dynamic with him too. Despite having her as an f/o I also ship her with Ar'alani, I think they'd make a cute couple. At the moment her canonical fate is pretty much unknown (I don't think it was ever made clear whether she left the Chimaera to transfer to her own fleet before Thrawn left for Lothal or not?), but although it is unlikely I personally wish that she'd also somehow end up with the Chiss like Eli did and get a happy ending with them.
Tech was just a very relatable character for me, and I knew I'd like him pretty much from the start. I always had a weak spot for this slightly nerdy scientist type of characters (namely Kowalski from TPoM and Mr. Spock from Star Trek TOS), I just never really f/o'd any of them before since I was like 8 years old or so at the time I was obsessed with them. But oh I had so much fun watching Tech, and his quote "I may process moments and thoughts differently, but it does not mean that I feel any less than you"? That hit right in the heart especially since I could relate so much to it. Also he must still be alive, I don't accept that he's gone no matter what the canon says.
Last but not least, I think General Grievous/Qymaen jai Sheelal was actually my second proper fictional crush, but for some reason it took me until last year to properly admit to it? I don't know, apparently 13 year old me was unconsciously in denial about being a monster lover, or just somehow unaware that I could just ship myself or an oc with him and didn't have to pick one of the canon characters. He's a character I'd actually love to come back some time, it's mainly that I'm too focused on my other f/os at the moment, but I think he deserves more love (yes I know he's kind of horrible too, but I think horrible fictional guys can still be loved and cherished).
Anyway this got longer than I anticipated, but at least you have an introduction to some of my secondary f/os now I guess. Anyways I hope you all had a happy Star Wars day, and who knows, maybe some of these guys here will make an appearance on my blog again in the future <3
#I was on the fence whether I should add Darth Vader as well since he used to be one of my fictional crushes#but I consider him an old f/o nowadays and don't know if I'll ever come back to him and I already wrote so much so I decided not to#but the others here are still all important to me💖#I'd also love to see more self ships with them actually I have no issues with sharing them <3#mitthrawnuruodo#thrawn#grand admiral thrawn#ar'alani#admiral ar'alani#karyn faro#commodore faro#tech#tech tbb#general grievous#qymaen jai sheelal#self ship#self shipping community#self insert x canon#f/o appreciation#star wars#may the 4th#happy star wars day#selniasoriginal

If I had to explain The Rover (2014) in a sentence I'd probably end up saying something like "What if Guy Pierce were John Wick except during the Great Depression but in near future Australia?" Which, I'll admit, is one heck of a pitch. Good thing I don't have to describe it in one sentence, but rather several rambling paragraphs.
The Rover is a distinctly Aussie movie inasmuch as the apocalypse it presents is a lowkey one. Fury Road et al. aside, films like The Cars That Ate Paris and even the original Mad Max presented the end of the world where people maintained (strained) municipal infrastructures. Max Rockatansky was originally what amounts to a highway patrolman. In The Rover, characters have to reckon with paying inflated prices and take care of the pets left behind by people who left for a better life.
The film feels closer to what it was like being an essential worker during Covid (a crisis it predates by 6 years) than the thunderdome. The movie's central conflict is basically a car theft that everyone else handwaves as unfortunate but not the end of the world. The end of the world will still let you own a cattle dog, or at least that's what The Rover is telling us.
Guy Pierce and Robert Pattinson (and that one guy who played a Bunker Technician in Return of the Jedi) have performances as great and as understated as the collapse of civilization we see in the film, and the movie gives us a muted, but sophisticated narrative that gives you plenty of time to breathe, realistic yet impactful.
Equally realistic is the costuming--with everyone in the Australian outback wearing shorts and getting all sweaty and grimy-- except for the costumes of the Military Police, who the film put in Desert MARPAT for some reason. Totally took me out of the movie. I'm not saying they should've put everyone in AMCU, but AUSCAM Jellybean is literally right there. It just had them in US Marine uniforms. Desert MARPAT is indeed the best digital camo, but they really could've found something better.
In any case, I would totally kill to get my hands on a Holden Commodore. Completely understandable.
