I'm going to do it anyway
Okay, so I'm going to give a review of each of the series in Dawn of X (including HOX and POX)
House of X: Six issues long. 8/10: Fantastic. It starts the new status quo with a bang. That first issue alone is incredible; the reveal with Moira is super exciting and recontextualizes a lot. It's a fantastic start to the new era.
Powers of x: Six issues long 6.5/10: It was really interesting, but paired with HOX, it kind of ruined the momentum for me. I thought it was a cool writing choice to have us see where the series begins and ends, but personally, I just enjoyed HOX more. I might enjoy it as a reread once I finish all of Krakow, but for right now, it is just good.
X-men: 11 issues long, 8/10: This is the flagship series, and it does its job well. It works as sort of an anthology, where many of the issues are self-contained but introduce some of the concepts that will be found in the era. (I.E., the summoner, orchis, the vault. and most importantly Arrako) overall a good display of characters and their relationships while also showing some idea of what to expect for the era.
New Mutants: 12 issues long, 3/10: one of my big hot takes of the list. I really did not like New Mutants that much; according to one of my friends, I would need to wait until Vita Ayala takes the wheel, but for now, I just couldn't get into it. This is likely because I don't know any of these characters apart from Magik, but even then, if this is supposed to be your introduction to the characters, you should work to make them interesting. full disclosure I ended up not finishing this series so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
X-force: 12 Issues long, 7.5/10: the mutant CIA? What could go wrong? This is a pretty good series; it uses the concepts of resurrection brought up in HOX in exciting ways and proves that just because Jonathan Hickman has introduced basically immortality, that doesn't mean he has erased the stakes. One of the reasons I love this series is how they handled Domino's trauma. They handled it incredibly well, and I respect their nuanced approach.
Fallen Angels: 6 issues long, 7/10: I only hear a little about this series, which is weird because I liked it a lot. The gritty art style was fantastic, and the story was super interesting. Seeing Kwannon's character and personality in action was fascinating, and seeing her go up against an enemy like this one was so cool. I just really wish we got more of it.
Excalibur: 12 issues long, 10/10: Genuinly fantastic. my favorite series out of the run HOLY SHIT. so I have met Tini Howard the author at 2 seperate cons and she has been so nice to me both times, so not only is she a fantastic writer but fantastic person as well. okay onto the book. it's like if X-men became a fantasy novel (even more than it already is) it takes place in otherworld (essentially Camelot. and deals with Betsy Braddock the new captain Britain ballence her loyalty to krakoa, otherworld, and Britain. it also has an absolutly stacked team with apocalypse now working with the hero's, the ever fun jubilee, and one of my favorite mutant power couples Rouge and Gambit.
Marauders: 12 issues long, 9/10: it's mutant pirates; what more could you want. My second favorite series is Dawn of X, about Kate Pryde traveling around the world with her crew and rescuing mutants from foreign governments. Not only is this one of the funniest series, but the downtime we see between the crew is also charming. It has an entertaining team, and we also get to know how the Hellfire Club is running now that it has rebranded; with the Hellfire Club comes one of my favorite mutants ever... emma frost; if frost is what you want, then a double helping of iceman and Emma should keep you fed for days. Now, it's not all fun and games; there is a specific moment in these issues that will make you super emotional, I won't spoil it, but the moment is super well done, and its ripple effects through the following matters are great to read,
Wolverine: Five issues long, 6/10: Another hot take. So, I love Wolverine. I've loved him for a while, and the fact that he is my type doesn't hurt at all. However, I also think he works best when he is on a team. and while he did have people to bounce off of in this series, I think I overall preferred it when he was on a team and working with people when it's just him it kinda feels very serious all the time. Still, he can let loose a bit when he's with others. The second story arc, with Wolverine fighting the vampires, was awesome, though.
Hellions: 4 issues long. 7/10: so this is just the beginning of the series, but I am only counting the problems in Dawn of X. First, I love the concept of villains on a team willing to get their hands dirty. Second of all, I love seeing a catty Mr. Sinister. He quickly became a standout, and I might cosplay him eventually. This also reintroduces one of my favorite lesser-known characters. Madalyn before the goblin queen. Her interactions with Alex Summers were exciting, and I loved seeing her again. Also, Psylocke having to act as the parent of a collection of homicidal killers was fun to see.
Cable: Four issues long, 5/10: It had some fascinating concepts, especially with kid cables' relationship to old cable and those who knew old cable, but overall, it was not my favorite. The Space Knights were excellent, and how they were confronted was interesting. Their use of time travel was terrific, but overall, it was just not my favorite.
X-factor: 2 issues long, 7/10: it's an X-Men mystery solvers group. Basically, if you die outside of the walls of Krakoa, X-factor will come and find your body so you can be brought back. It's fun, and the team is filled with characters you don't see often, like Eye Boy and Daken. It's good. I just can't talk about it too much with how few issues there are in Dawn of X
empyre x-men: 4 issues long. 3/10: I was curious if I should count this since it's part of a crossover event, but it's in the Dawn of X collection trades, so I might as well. So this had some exciting concepts, such as the Scarlet Witch trying to redeem herself, mutants vs mutant zombies vs plant aliens. But overall, it could have been better. I didn't read any of the connecting crossovers; I needed clarification.
X of Swords: 22 issues, 10/10: the culmination of all the storylines so far, genuinely fantastic. What starts out as an X-Men tournament arc turns into so much more. We learn more about the history of Arrako and the apocalypse's connection to it. Satyreene is stunning and a fantastic villain. Everyone getting their swords. And once the battle actually began the rounds. How different they were and how cool they were. If I have any complaints, they are: 1. I would have liked to see some of the fights described, mainly in the fashion show, but many others sounded cool. 2. I wish the battle between Storm and Death lasted longer. 3 I think that as a promo or special edition, they should have allowed you to buy your own Xmen tarot deck, But hey, if my main complaint for a 22-issue crossover is that I wish there was more content, then you know you did a pretty good job. (also, speaking of Storm, the issue where she gets her sword might be my favorite issue in the entire crossover, which is saying something because it's incredible.) also, I got Tini Howard to sign my copy of the collection, which is fantastic.
I know the krakoa era is over but would y’all like to hear my review of each series in dawn of x, I’m finally finishing it tonight and I have some thoughts.

Make way for Mr. C part 12
Sorry this one took awhile I was working through some stuff while making it, and was reworking some plot details for the comic, since this ones kinda rushed Ill give some explanations for certain character actions.
Blu Scout behaves Like a teenager who's embarrassed by there family but in this case team.
Mr. C/ Civilian acts like a big shot know it all, but when there's danger he becomes a helpless hapless idiot who needs protection.
also Engie is struggling to keep his team...well being a team.
and in one of the cameras Blutarch and Redmond are having a brief disscusion on how to move this war they created quickly to an end, but the discussion probably wont matter in the end, the Administrator is just keeping them occupied right now while this go's on.
sorry again for this to take so long
next one will be out quicker :) hope yall enjoy this one.

No post on this blog will ever contain pro-ana content, fatphobia, or promotion of diet culture. If you feel like any of my posts unintentionally promote these ideas, let me know and I will take down the post (assuming good faith).
Thank you for reading. I am open to any and all asks or DMs, within reason, but don't necessarily expect a super fast response time to anything.

I'm gonna start by saying that the "Sweeties" "Darlings" and "Ooga boogas" gimicks have been used for ages as a passive aggressive way to infantalize and dissociate women's opinions. I'm assuming that's not your intention, but would appreciate you abstaining from using them with me or other creators that don't exactly agree with you. Especially it's a respectful response addressing some of your publicly posted and tagged opinions.
That's part of the reason I don't see myself interacting with you publicly. I don't feel you have a safe space to exchange opinions and ideas, I really like your blog and the boards you come up with, so that's a shame. Don't even know why I'm responding now, tbh.
Finally and trying to not write a goddam bible- I don't think Lin is a bitty-witty baby. I called her immature, neurotic and a whole mess during that episode. I don't expect you to see my point of view, since it clear you're just not receptive to it.
All in all this was Lin's emotional grow arch episode, not Su's. We were meant to see her evolve and that's pretty difficult to do if you're not in a shitty spot to start with.
Su was a new character. Back then we didn't have a lot of info on her, she wasn't going to be explored in deep during those 27 airing minutes. I believe she did get to her own episode by season 4 and has taken way more precedence that Lin in the comics, although pretty much all of her reconciling had to do with the whole Kuvira affair... Which to me says a lot on her psyche and how she may have processed her trauma with Lin back then.
In any case, I don't expect to get dragged into an online back and forth about a fictional show, I'm grown up enough to agree to disagree. Don't get salty over a fictional show/character, it's not worth your real life peace of mind.
Apologies about the petnames, I tend to use them with everybody. Its something that bleeds through from how I speak Irl. It's my way of saying I'm not taking this too seriously, since I saw this still as a mainly civil conversation?
Frankly, anon, your gender doesn't really exist to me because you are, um, anonymous.
And apologies if you felt attacked or unsafe with expressing your opinions. Is there any way you would recommend I could improve my way of dealing with criticisms of my rambles? I feel quite terrible for offending you now.
I just have been getting quite tired of people taking my mostly short posts on Su and adding to them things I never spoke of.
Talking about how Su often acts in a placating manner towards Lin somehow becomes a disscusion on whether or not Lin ows Toph and Su fogiveness
A post about how Suyin isn't the devil gets a response that completely misunderstood a completely different post of mine.
A post on Lin stagnating her own growth due to clinging to familiarity once again is met with complaints about Su and Toph, despite them really being an afterthought of that post.
Honestly, at this point I'm just tired that every single thing I post that is even mildly critical of Lin gets bombarded with "Oh but it's ok because she's so miserable" when Suyin NEVER gets the benefit of the doubt.
I will agree that the episode focusing on Lin isn't surprising. I think it is clunkily handled, and the resolution is odd. It flip flops between biases. The presentation is biased towards Lin, but the in universe storyline is biased towards Su is the best way to describe it. Also Lin's character arc feels a little hollow since she goes right back to thinking Su is the devil (or working with terrorists in this case)
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Suyin and her in the comics. I apologise if I haven't been the best conversation partner, however I really am curious of your opinions on otger characters.
I'm content to agree to disagree as well if that is what you perfer.
Dw I'll probably be less salty when it's not 2 am.

On the one hand now that the hype has died down people are disscusing the problems with season 2 a bit more in depth, however the fact they are doing so in order to prop up Queen Charlotte and comparing season 2 negatively to it is fucking ridiculous to me. I did not like season 2 and mayor issues with it but come the fuck on at least it was a watchable mess, Queen Charlotte is a fucking shitshow in comparison.
I think s2 is something I don't really care to rewatch at all, but I will agree it's watchable versus the QC thing. I also think that a lot of why people are jumping on QC to dunk on s2 is less to do with the quality of either show and more to do with the fact that there are so many fucking shipping wars in that fandom for some BIZARRE reason (y'all aren't competing! everyone wins... except for those who like Charlotte and Farmer George, I guess) and a lot of vocal parties in every subset are.... very grating. So I can imagine that if you are someone who wanted to dunk on some Kathony shippers, then this gave you a good thing to rally behind. And I almost get that mentality, but I won't pretend something is good just to make a point, lmao. I don't like Polin, but I can't pretend s2 was this AHMAZING THING to dunk on that ship when I don't believe that.
I will say lol... One thing s2 didn't have was a caricature of a Black man raping his wife over and over (to the point that she needed salve on her inner thighs) but make it comical. So.

Please explain you're lear hcs if you can. Mostly because they're very cool and also help me flesh him out more (bc sadly I can't get him pre PML arc character development so it's mostly him suffering and accepting yes he does have friends and yes he cares about them a lot whdgs
WELL SINCE YOU ASKED!! :D
Putting it under a read more because it's a bit long.
-Let's start with the paper stars, since it's the one we were talking about and also because AHHHHHHHHHHHHH-. Kat (chaoticfandomcat) was the one who brought up the idea after I finished and posted the comic "The Stars that Make this Island" (In a very bad timing since I almost cried in class SKALHDUWLHE but I guess its also my fault for checking my phone at that time...)
Lear's mother is the one who shows him how to make these little Lucky paper stars. I've made some research and what I've found about the lucky stars is that they give the person who makes them luck, and even more if they give them away to someone else (something like, they share their luck and, by doing so, the get more too). I've also found about the story behind them and how a little kid started making them to save the stars that were dying in the night sky. Supposedly, making a hundred and giving them to someone is a nice gift. By giving a hundred to someone that someone can make a wish.
Something like... when Lear's mother fell ill Lear tried to make a hundred to make a wish and save her, but wasn't able to make it and, well...
The guy is a perfectionist, so he tries to make every single star perfect (is not as easy as it looks, I've tried believe me). There's a jar somewhere in his room in Pasio with filled with some stars and there's also little paper stars scattered all over the place. He doesn't think he needs a wish anymore (and has found out that he wouldn't be the one making it anyways), but he still makes the stars as a way to relax (though he keeps tossing stars around when they are not perfect).
I also made some art over this. Something with my fan desing for his mother, Bettie and Scottie (there's also one with Cheren, but I'll leave the shippy ones out of this one).
-Adding to this, another thing that came up was the room. Like, you will know is a comfort place where is mostly only him that enters there because... it's messy. The stars, the bed covers, there are papers everywhere and pillows too. He does clean up tho, it's just... he pays more attention to the outher looks rather than the inner ones. You have all of Pasio as an example, the Battle Villa as well. Only Sawyer, Rachel and his pokemon enter his room besides himself (the first two very rarely, out of respect mostly).
-He still has the need to let out the mean sometimes. So don't be surprised to hear him calling people names. It's more because he is used to it too, so, if he isn't angry and one slips out, he will apologize quickly before correcting himself.
-Rachel and Sawyer still get into little fight over who Lear loves the most. If he ever catches them in these he will go "...I just care about you both equally what the hell are you even disscusing about."
Both of them will start with their ugly crying and "MASTER LEAAAAA-"
Lear will try to forget he ever said a thing.
-He gets easily flustered. This one came up because of that one part where the people were cheering on him as he went to have his battle with MC and co. Genuine, nice compliments just get him tamato-red.
-Very extra. I'm sure the moment he gets completly out of his shell any acts for his friends will be over-the-top, dramatic and maybe a bit too much. Most of them would have fun and enjoy being around him anyways I think.
-He still hates hats, caps specially. Though there's two hats he doesn't hate in all of Pasio, and they are caps lol.
-He owns a short old book with information about Unbound Hoopa. He is interested in it and is most likely because he is still looking for a way to become stronger. But he also knows he needs to be carefull, as he knows the posible dangers of trying to get the Prison Bottle, let alone have it in his grasp, and is aware that Hoopa is wary of this form.
-Actually softest, kindest guy around. Will be moments where that side comes out and then it goes back to his stunderism™ GSAHJDFGTYAWUEGA.
As a last point (and it's not a headcanon), I actually have a small playlist done for when I'm writting or drawing about him [ this one ]... idk felt like I could share it!
Is what I have for now, maybe I'll add more to this later on!
#ask#asa answers#Lear#Headcanon time baby!#Across a Sea of Stars#that's it I'm using that tag in general now.#pokemas

Since Sonia is really into some pretty creppy stuff he made quick friends with Korekiyo to everyone else worry. You see them sometimes in the library disscusing delightful things like: Ancient methods of torture, the social repercussion of the acts of famous and obscure serial killers, and legends of cursed olaces and artifacts the way some child would talk about a comic book. She also like pester Kyoko sometimes to know if she has get into any interesanting murder case.
OH GOSH.
I HATE THIS BECAUSE THIS WOULD SO HAPPEN AND IS SO ACCURATE TO THE CHARACTER’S CANON.
AND SONIA WOULD BE COMPLETELY UNFAZED BY ALL OF THE SHADY STUFF KOREKIYO PULLS OR ASKS ABOUT.

How Supernova should have been: Improvements in the Timeline
this is how I think Supernova should’ve been:
Until Chapter 5: Nova and the Anarchist plan how to save Ace, and a runaway in case Nova’s identity is discovered. Adrian and his dads have many disscusions. Nova decides not to give the helmet to the stranger.
From Chapter 5 to 10: the Anarchists decide to runaway, but Narcissa threats them with revealing Nova’s identity. As they don’t care, Narcisa breaks Danna’s jar. The Anarchist inmediatly runaway, without caring about anything. Nova is know searched as Nightmare. The Renegades are starting to have many issues between them. Adrian is confussed about Nova, as she vanished.
From Chapter 10 to 15: the Anarchists do an alliance with the Rejects, and discover the best way of saving Ace is in his execution. We got a Narcissa POV here, getting to know her and her ideas. The Renegades keep faling apart. Osby begining as a couple is here, NOT AFTER A FUCKING BATTLE.
From Chapter 15 to 20: Narcissa keeps telling how the Anarchists and the Rejects are getting ready to save Ace. She also tells how she’s starting to be friends with Nova. Max tells everyone Nightmare didnt stab him, but Frosbite did.
From Chapter 20 to 25: Nova discovers that Phobia killed Adrians mother and that Adrian is the Sentinel by Rebel Z comics. She feels betrayed and decides to forget about her feelings for Adrian. Adrian is having issues with his parents, as he confonted them by calling them dictators.
From Chapter 25 to 30: the Anarchists steal Agent N from the Renegades, and they dont notice. There’s character developement here, but from Danna, Narcissa, Max and Osby.
From Chapter 30 to 35: the execution is a disaster. Ace gets back his helmet, Winston sacrifices for Nova, and Callum dies. Most of the Renegades are neutralized, between the, Oscar and Ruby.
From Chapter 35 to 40: Ace kills Blacklight and Thunderbird, Dread Warden and Tsunami are neutralized. After the Anarchists leave , the Sentinel reveals his identity to his parents(who takes out its protection in the middle of a battle?!).
From Chapter 40 to 45: Ace rebuilts the cathedral and tells his plan for this second Anarchy Era. Nova denies it. Ace manipulates Nova to stay and she does. Danna and Adrian are caught by the Anarchists. When Captain Chromium comes to defeat Ace, he threats him with killing his son. Nova kills Honey before she has the chance of torturing her with bees. Nova does an alliance with Adrian and Danna. Narcissa joins.
From Chapter 45 to 50: the Rejects and Leroy runaway from the battle. Phobia is defeated when Adrian neutralizes himself. Nova goes to the roof to defeat Ace.
From Chapter 50 to 55: Nova finds out Ace killed her parents and gets mad. Ace takes Nova’s star and kills Captain Chromium. Captain Chromium’s last words are “Your sister is alive” (said to Nova). Max comes and defeats Ace.Ace says some last words that are kind off a redemption but also no. With the supernova, every person in the world becomes a prodigy. In chapter 55, is explained that Gatlon now is ruled under a democracy, Renegades and Anarchists dont exist anymore (only Leroy, Simon and Kasumi survived cause those are the only ones that deserved survive) and how the world works now. Nova comprobes Evie is alive. Nova and Adrian decide to take a time before they decide if they will continue being a couple. Danissa is shown as canon here.
Epilogue: is related by Magpie, and tells her reunion with her sister, as she shows proof that they are sisters. Is really emotive and is an actual closure of the trilogy.
thats it folks. tell me if you agree.

Theory: Damian Wayne, Batman #666, and The Book of the Damned
In other words we may be getting closer to the build up of Batman #666 or some variation of that.
Written: March/20/2020-March/21/2020
Updated: May/10/2020
Disscuses: [Batman (1940) #666, Batman 2016 #34 and #77, Teen Titans #37-40 (so far as I write this, will probably include 41 when released), and Robin 80th Special Anniversary comic]
[This will contain spoliers on all of these]
I made a review on the Teen Titans So Far here. Just in case your wondering what I think of it and/or are on the fence about whether to read it or not.
If you have been reading the Teen Titans (specifically issues 20 and on) you may be familiar with The Book of the Damned.
This may be a long shot, but I wanted to discuss how both The Book of the Damned and Batman #666 may be possibly connected.
But before we dig in, let's recap:
Batman (1940) #666:
-> Batman in Batman #666 is Damian Wayne.
-> Takes place 15 years in the future (so he's 25?).
-> Damian becomes Batman after Bruce dies (also the batfamily is dead as well except for Barbara).
-> Damian sells his soul when he is 14 to the Satan/devil (not sure which exactly) in order to protect Gotham.
-> Damian using magic.
-> Damian says hes familiar with the devil.
Teen Titans (2016) #37-40, I believe this arc ends 41, so next issue as well.
-> Damian is currently 13.
-> Damian is in possession of The Book of The Damned after fighting The Other.
-> The Book of the Damned:
1. The book is said to be dangerous as stated by Djinn and was supposed to be lost. So it was hidden in a book shelve in a monastery lol.
2. Includes forbidden secrets, which includes a way to free Djinn from her ring/purgatory.
3. Also has spells.
-> Damian is familiar with hell (went to hell after Heretic killed him) and seems to know people there. Elias calls himself a devil and Damian is now familiarizing himself with him.
What does this mean?
Well, to re-summarize we may be getting closer to a build up of Batman #666.
The Book of the Damned, a book that is incredibly powerful and dangerous is now in possession of Damian. This book contains secrets and spells.
Even though Damian was warned about The Book of the Damned, Damian read it anyways (typical Damian lol).
We've already seen Damian use spells in Batman #77 and Teen Titans #39 and (and mention them) in Batman #34.
Which considering Bruce will possibly meet up with Damian in the end Teen Titans #41 which takes place after Alfred's death according to Robin 80th Anniversary Special that recently came out, means that either:
A) This takes place while Djinn is trapped in her ring and Damian is studying the book "cover to cover. So in Batman #77 he already has learned some spells.
B) Damian has already dabbling in magic before in possession of The Book of the Damned.
Another thing I'd like to mention, is that Damian was 14 when he apparently made a bargain with devil and/or Satan after Bruce dies.
Assuming Damian is still 13-almost 14, and that 5G event is supposed to be taking place late this year that means we may an event where Gotham is in danger and Damian sells his soul in order to save it.
Again, these are just theories and predictions I've made that I've decided to post which may never happen.
But since we are currently partaking in social distancing/quarantine I thought it may be entertaining to post.
I leave it to guys to decide what you think of it. And let me know what you think and/or if you have anything to add:)
