Let’s talk about comedy podcasts!

Some of the descriptions/part of them were taken from shows themselves or their descriptions. Please, ignore all the spelling mistakes.

the thing about trying to recommend fiction podcasts to someone who isn't familiar with them is that not only are so so many genres represented but also the level of production can fall anywhere from "basically an audiobook" to "major motion picture minus the pictures"

Podcast Rec Masterpost

I've been asked a couple times for podcast recommendations so I thought I'd post a compilation of some shows and a bit of info about them. Most shows I talk about are tagged below (I ran out of tags) so you can look through fan content as well if you're not one to care about spoilers. My asks are still open for personalized recs if you send me some others that you've listened to just because I love you, yes that's right! You. The person reading this right now!

Dungeons And Daddies *not a BDSM podcast

This show is a dnd actual play podcast. The first season is about four dads from our world lost in the Forgotten Realms in search of their lost sons. It’s a comedy but as with all comedies, you will cry by the end of it. It's super easy to get into with great chemistry between all the cast players and the dm, no prior knowledge of dnd is necessary. They do invoke slight horror sometimes so do keep an eye out for content warnings. Season 1 has 68.5 episodes along with bonus content and a mini campaign in between seasons 1 and 2. Season 2 is currently ongoing. Transcripts available.

The Bright Sessions

This is a science fiction podcast. The premise is a collection of clinical recordings of superpowered people's therapy sessions. The plot gets more interesting and convoluted as you get further in. Incredible voice acting filled with emotion. Does have some heavier discussions so be on the lookout for content warnings. It has 7 seasons (the last two are technically not part of the first five seasons' plot) and is completed. Transcripts available.

Hello From the Hallowoods

A post-apocalyptic fiction podcast. A beautifully written and preformed podcast that explores identity, religion, and other themes in vignettes throughout this haunted world narrated by an omniscient being. Some heavier topics are included so check the content warning before each episode. Seasons 1 and 2 are completed and season 3 will be done soon. Transcripts available.

The Magnus Archives

A horror fiction podcast. A well written chronological story told through anthology which seem to be tape recordings from a paranormal investigation institute. Incredible writing and actors that really bring it to life. This is horror so make sure to check the content warnings. The show is completed at 5 seasons. Transcripts available.

Neighbourly

Another horror fiction podcast! An interesting look into all the houses on Little Street and their peculiarities. Some more peculiar than others. The podcast is absolutely delightful with a horribly fun narrator. I would suggest checking the content warnings as some episodes are more intense than others. The show has 2 completed seasons. Transcripts available.

The Fall of the House of Sunshine

A musical mystery fiction podcast. The first season is about an investigation on the murder of a beloved host of a children's tooth-themed show. That's all I can say without spoilers. There are 3 incredible seasons along with short stories in between each season. Transcripts available until halfway through season 2.

Welcome to Nightvale

Possibly the most well known science fiction podcast, it really speaks for itself but I'll do my spiel anyways. Recorded as snippets of a daily radio broadcast, the show details the weird goings on in this strange desert town of Nightvale. Narrated almost completely by the radio host's smooth voice. It's ongoing and is currently sitting at 233 episodes. Transcripts available.

The Two Princes

A fictional queer romance podcast. It takes place in that special part of fiction that always starts with "once upon a time," it feels like a story book almost. The show is based around two boys meeting in the woods. Spoiler alert: they fall in love. It's just a cute feel good show. The podcast is complete at 3 seasons. Spotify auto-generated transcripts available.

What's the Frequency?

A self described psychedelic noir podcast. It's an absolute blast even if it is a bit hard to follow. Takes place in the 1940s in LA when all radio broadcasts were turned to static. You kind of just have to go with it until you get to the end. Completed at 12 episodes. Transcripts available.

Story Break

A writer's room podcast. The basic concept behind Story Break is 3 Hollywood writers in a room together take a prompt and try to make a story for it in an hour. There are many laughs in this podcast and just all around good humor and vibes. The show is complete at 169 episodes plus two full movie scripts. No transcript.

Who Killed Avril Lavigne

A science fiction podcast. It's about a time traveling pop punk loser and that's all you need to know. It's a podmusical so you'll be getting great nostalgic pop punk type songs along with crying from laughing so hard. Completed at 8 episodes. No transcript.

The Behemoth

A fiction podcast. Based around an unexplainable creature emerging from the ocean and how the world, and one girl in particular, deal with this phenomenon. It is pretty short with the longest episode being about 12 minutes. Completed at 20 episodes. No transcript.

Rude Tales of Magic

A dnd actual play podcast. It is mainly focused on the actual roleplay and story telling as opposed to the actual play. A handful of college students from Polaris University fuck the world up by completing a hazing ritual which in this case is a supposedly demon summoning. Obviously now they need to fix the world. Currently 64 episodes and ongoing. No transcript.

Midnight Burger

A very well written fiction podcast. It’s about a time/space traveling diner where the employees try to help solve a problem every place they land. Think Doctor Who adjacent vibes but with more drama. There is an overarching plot that comes together so look out for that. It has incredible characters that are really nicely fleshed out. You’ll somehow like and hate all of them as much as possible in the best way. Currently has 29 episodes of the main feed and a 9 episode mini-series. Transcript available.

Monstrous Agonies

A fiction podcast. It’s an radio advice segment on a station for “liminal Britain” aka the monstrous world to put it plainly. It’s really chill and comforting. There’s very good advice there and the intermittent ad reads will have you giggling to yourself. Episodes are on the shorter side, averaging about 15 minutes each. It does have some heavier discussions so make sure to check the content warnings. The show is completed at 111 episodes through 3 seasons. Transcripts available.

Desert Skies

A fiction podcast. The voice acting in this one is incredible, it’s the same person the whole time. The show as a whole is also just super well done. The premise is that when you die you show up on a highway and get to this astral pit stop. I’m not going to spoil it anymore you just have to experience it. There is an additional show, Desert Skies FM that's a buddy to this one. I recommend listening to both. Season 1 was completed at 12 episodes. Transcripts available.

Wooden Overcoats

A sitcom dramedy podcast. The show is about two siblings that run a funeral home on an island. It used to be the only one, it isn’t anymore. It has a wacky cast of characters and even wackier plot points. The dialogue can be a little hard to get used to at the beginning but once you get into it it flows easily. The show is completed at 4 seasons. Transcripts available.

Greater Boston

An audio drama podcast. It's set in Boston if you couldn't tell from the title and starts with the death of a man on a rollercoaster. It blends real life with some subtle (and at times not-so-subtle) fantasy elements. It's currently at 4 completed seasons. Transcript available.

Gay Future

A science fiction podcast. In a world where everyone is gay in the future we focus on this one straight kid. Following his journey to destroy the government who are making everyone gay. This is a satire by the way. 1 season completed at 6 episodes. No transcripts.

Death by Dying

A dark comedy podcast. The show follows an obituary writer while he does things that are totally under the jurisdiction of his job. A well written and preformed show. There are a lot of laughs and obviously some heartbreaks as well. Currently 1 completed season with season 2 sitting at 2 episodes for a bit now. Transcript available.

Not Another D&D Podcast

An actual play dnd podcast. This one's more mainstream than my other podcasts so I don't talk about it as much but that doesn't mean it's not incredible. The first campaign is about 3 adventurers off to save the world. Obviously. It can be a bit slow in the beginning but anything past the second half of the first season is incredible. There's humor, drama, love, and much more. The DM is also just incredible. 1 completed season, a couple mini campaigns, and the second season is currently at 43 episodes. No transcripts.

Forgive Me!

A fiction podcast. It starts based around vignettes of confessionals in this small town taken by a new father in the local church. An overarching plot is present but it's generally a feel good, sweet and simple show. They have 2 complete seasons with season 3 currently at 9 episodes. Transcripts available.

Real Housewives of D&D

An actual play dnd podcast. This show is based around the concept of a "Real Housewives..." type show but you don't need to know anything about those to listen to this. It's about 4 reality TV stars thrown into a magical fantasy world with no knowledge of how to get home. There's drama, excitement, danger, and lots more. The first season was just completed at 16 episodes. Transcripts available.

The Silt Verses

A horror fiction podcast. Two people who worship a banned god travel together up a river in a pilgrimage. There is incredible worldbuilding in this show along with acting and sound design. This is horror and a very good one at that so make sure you check content warnings. Season 1 and 2 are completed and season 3 is at 2 episodes so far. Transcripts available.

The Land Whale Murders

A comedy fiction podcast. It takes place in the year 1899 and is about a pair of friends? maybe not, that metaphorically explore the world they're living in. It is a commentary on the world we live in and the problems in it through a hilarious and wacky cast. There are currently 17 episodes between both seasons 1 and 2. Transcripts available.

Elaine's Cooking for the Soul

A post-apocalyptic cooking podcast. The show is about a dentist who makes her way through the fallout of an apocalypse while also making a cooking podcast. It does have depictions of violence, war, and dentistry so check out the content warnings. There are 2 completed seasons. No transcripts.

Fawx and Stallion

A mystery podcast. If you hate Sherlock Holmes you'll love this podcast. Also if you love Sherlock Holmes you'll love this podcast. It's based around the detectives who live across the street from Holmes at 224B Baker street. It's pretty goofy. Season 1 is completed. Transcripts available.

The Amelia Project

A fiction podcast. Follow the shenanigans of this death-faking organization as they take in new clients and hear their stories. It does develop an actual overarching plot later on but every second is fun. Seasons 1-4 have been completed and season 5 is in progress. Transcripts available.

A Voice From Darkness

A horror podcast. It's centered around a radio show hosted by Dr. Malcolm Ryder, Parapsychologist. He helps people who call into his show with supernatural problems, gives PSAs and warnings about strange happenings, and more. Season 1 is completed and season 2 is at 9 episodes. Transcripts available.

Station Arcadia

A dystopian fiction podcast. Formatted through a radio show, it tells the story of a world that's slowly dying. There are vignettes of different characters through different areas of the world. Season 1 is completed at 25 episodes. Transcripts available.

Margaret's Garden

A science fiction podcast. It has two plots running at the same time which keeps you on your toes but makes for an intriguing story line. In one plot line, two agents are sent to investigate the strange happenings of a weird little long abandoned town. Simultaneously, we hear from the past of that town as it catches up to the agents. Completed at 10 episodes. Transcripts available.

Camp Here & There

A horror comedy podcast. It's recorded as a set of daily announcements over a loudspeaker at a totally normal summer camp. The announcements are made by the camp nurse and he's also totally normal. I promise. Make sure to check in with the content warnings as some topics are a little mature or graphic. There are currently 34 episodes. Transcripts available.

Wayward Guide for the Untrained Eye

A companion horror podcast. This is actually a bit meta because it is the result of a youtube series. This show is the one the podcast hosts in the series release, it's definitely worth both the watch and the listen though. It's got werewolves and drama. Completed at 10 episodes of video and 10 of the podcast. No transcripts.

I am in Eskew

A horror podcast. It's about a man who's trapped in a city where the buildings always change and the rain never stops. There's a weird monotonous creeping horror in this show that just draws you in. Check for content warnings definitely. Completed at 30 episodes. Transcripts available.

Traveling Light

A comfy cozy fiction podcast. It follows The Traveller on their exploration through space, visiting alien planets and collecting stories to send back to their community. For supporters of the show, it almost functions as a choose-your-own-adventure with choices to vote on and listener submissions. It's made by the same people as Monstrous Agonies so if you enjoyed that, you'd enjoy this and vice versa. There are currently 16 episodes. Transcripts available.

Garbo:

A cold-ass Swedish WLW Sphinx. Had plans to murder Hitler that she never got around to. "She will remain always a child of vikings, moved about by a snowy dream."

First of all, she's on the money; that's how much of a treasure she is. She's beautiful in such a distinct way you need very few lines to draw her. (Drawing by Einar Nerman) She managed to be mesmerizing in both silent and sound films. She kissed a woman in Queen Christina (and probably several more in real life). She was super dry and really funny in Ninotchka. She got the hell out of Hollywood and stayed out, living for almost 50 years after her retirement.

Garbo is one of the many reasons why I'm gay. If you haven't seen Queen Christina please do, She is so gender in that film. Also her accent makes it sound like she's always talking in cursive and it's so hypnotic (or at least I think so).

She's a gay introvert, like all of us here on Tumblr.

Mysterious and aloof, charismatic and enigmatic, with beautiful androgynous characteristics, Garbo is undoubtedly the most eccentric and unique Hollywood vintage star. Her aversion to fame and stardom makes her even more desirable to the audience, and her insane chemistry with the camera, an actress one of a kind! Her particularity and her oddity is what discerns her strongly from her hollywood co workers at the time, noone was like her and would never be like her. I think, to the utmost extent, that she deserves the title of the hottest vintage star, even though that would be an understatement of what she is!

Hey there lovelies! I hope the end to your week was good to you! A lots happened in the last 48 hrs, and I apologize I'm so late sharing some of it. Please let me know if I missed anything! I love how much people are really stepping up the love for cast members after all the Emmy stuff that went down. I see everyone just aggressively (I say affectionatly) loving so many of them and it's so heart-warming and uplifting. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but your love and kindness is so incredibly impactful. You may never get to see the fruits of your love (although the cast and crew does tend to show us they hear us) but know that every little bit builds up. Maybe someone was having a bad day, and seeing how much we love them gave them that extra boost to get through it-- you never know! literally anything. i love feeling connected with people from all different time periods and cultures. i tend to prefer more grounded history (working class history, fashion + food history) compared to like,, military + monarchy focused history lol. i'm british and am sick of learning so much about people who are apparently appointed by a god i don't believe in!

wolf 359 is an excellent show; i’d definitely recommend it if you like podcasts! the first season is a little slow, but once it switches from a lighthearted comedy to a high-stakes thriller, it hits the ground running. personally, once i thought about the similarities between camilla and lovelace, it was over for me. deeply traumatized characters on one-woman suicide missions, my beloved!

Greetings! Last Friday my friend @easyminds /  Fonda hosted a game of Peabody on her Twitch channel. We were joined by our friend Alison, and they both played what I am fairly certain is the first ever play session. If you would like to see an example of Peabody's game in play, then look no further!

I always intended for the game to be a short set of rules that could be adapted upon as you play the game. This is not a definitive example, it is an example. You'll see that I improv much of what happens and make concessions for a two player - one game master experience. Peabody is also a horror game and features death as a mechanic. You will have to decide how that theme is handled on a personal level when you play the game. Albeit I preach comedy as a reward for character death.

If you are ever wondering "am I playing this game right?" You can rest assured: yes.

My mom swears I wasn’t but I am very suspicious about holding the same first name as her beloved childhood GUINEAPIG!! >:( My middle name is the name of my grandmother and I love it dearly! 

2. When was the last time you cried?

A few weeks ago, in the middle of a restaurant, when I received a very special gift. 

3. Do you have kids?

No, and I don’t plan on having any! I know the whole “cool aunt” thing is a joke but it’s genuinely something I aspire to be in the future. 

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

A bunch, but I mainly did horse riding (volting and dressage), ice skating, ballet, and swimming! :’) Nowadays I only go to the gym and play tennis for fun from time to time.

As much as the next person, but I tend to avoid self-deprecative or inauthentic comments. 

6. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Attitude, the way they hold/present themselves, and how they treat others.

A muddy green-brown!

Germany, but I spent most of my early childhood in the states. 

11. What are your hobbies?

Oh man, I’m notorious for having too many rotating hobbies; I love video games, board games, and tabletop, going out to dance, cooking and baking, various DIY projects, doing my own gel nails, weightlifting, hiking, growing plant cuttings, reading, going for walks, writing, throwing dinner parties, making snail mail letters, listening to podcasts, and I love going to comedy shows! I’m also part of my friend's non-profit environmental organization and I’ve recently gotten into clay sculpting and practicing my drawing skills! I’m also learning Japanese!

Yes! A cat named Augustus and I love him so so much!

Hey lovelies! There's definitely been some reminders lately that this time of year isn't the best time for everyone. Remember to be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up too much ok? Sometimes you do everything right. Sometimes you do your best, you bust your ass, and then shit goes horribly wrong the last second. Whether it's a draft on something fan related, or getting to work on time, or preparing a candid talk with someone or being careful driving on ice, and someone else hitting you from behind. Whatever it is-- life sometimes just does not cooperate with your expectations.

To top it off, that can be very hard if you've already been dealing with so much. It really can. It can seem like.. NOTHING goes right, and like everything is frustrating, and when your cup is already full of nonsense it just starts overflowing.

You know what the good news is? Your cup will slowly drain over time the kinder you are to yourself. Rest helps it drain, love helps it drain, comfort helps it drain so you can have more room for the next thing that happens. Right now it feels like too much because your body and your mind need a break, and you deserve a break. Winter time is normally meant for human beings and animals to hibernate! To recover with the seasons! But now we work all the time, and it can burn us out real fast. Take care of yourselves, take breaks, and if shit goes wrong, keep taking breaks, if you can, until it doesn't feel so hard anymore <3 I hope you all rest this week and have some self-care time off if you have it-- and if you don't, please be safe out there. Thinking of you.

Sam... is this the subplot of Jerry running the country writing itself?

Not yet! Although I’m sure it will once I’m dedicating more time to that story. My writing focus is still actually on Twelve Points, the Eurovision novel; I’m making lots of notes about the California story but it’s not the focus yet. It’s actually only set about 1/3 in California -- it’s structured around three separate weddings Gregory and Eddie have to have, so the first third is in CA, while the rest is back in the Ask. Jerry running the country will be a subplot, but probably not more than 3-4 scenes. 

The focus in Royals/Ramblers is mostly on Eddie’s sister Monday and Georgie, the bodyguard from LATT, with a secondary focus on Eddie and Gregory themselves, as they become dads. But of course there’ll be space for Jerry and Alanna, and Michaelis, Jes, and Noah, here and there.

I am imagining Noah volunteering to be the one who gets left behind to run things at some point because he can podcast the whole thing and get extra credit in his civics class.

Ah, sadly Noah thinks politics is for the birds :D He’s seen enough of what Gregory puts up with to have a teenager’s distaste for the whole thing. He might have signed up to tag along with Alanna and/or enjoyed tagging along with Jerry, as you say for civics bonus points :D but he’s not interested in politics. Fortunately he’s not interested in what strangers think of him, either, which means that the persistent rumors that he’s going to be adopted as a prince and trained to replace Gregory don’t bother him. (Noah is destined for a very successful stand-up comedy career, where he has a tight fifteen about what it’s like to suddenly find yourself a member of a royal family at the age of sixteen.)

... the only thing that would make Michaelis' turn babysitting The Ask better is if shenanigans arose with Galia, and he had to deal with it... or rather, Galia had to deal with him.  Again.

Ah, he’s beloved of Galia though! It’s only the Duke and the old consiglieres who didn’t like him. If Ofelia needed help he’d be off like a shot, and if he popped up in Galia again he’d have no shortage of defenders and fans. The old guard might try to make trouble, but Ofelia has effectively neutered most of them, and Michaelis can handle the rest.

Probably never be great friends with Riva, though. Hard to get on with a man who walked into your country, waved a DNA test, and got a free pass for being a meddling busybody. :D

so this is super late but i'm still thinking about the magic tavern season 3 final. i'm thinking about arnie telling the dark lord he will never know his daughter's name. i'm thinking about the dark lord trying to use arnie's connection to earth against him but arnie using it for his own power. i'm thinking about the dark lord saying 'usidore, please' right before what would have been the final blow and i'm thinking about usidore being so ready to die.

it's obviously a running joke that these people are highly incompetent and unwilling to take any real action but that episode showed them all at their best. usidore's quest has been a joke since episode 1, the thing they don't have time for, the thing that no one cares about as much as he does, but that moment, that off-hand 'oh it might take a couple minutes or a few days [to die]' was probably the best character moment we've ever had. usidore truly does not want fame or to prove himself or even to better than spintax or anything. he cares about defeating evil because he knows the world will be a better, more free, more compassionate place if he does it, and he doesn't need to be there to reap the benefits. and that's the thing about usidore, for all he talks about being the one chosen for this task by the goddesses, born of wind and birds etc, he wants to defeat evil because he is selfless. the dark lord tells arnie "if you're not careful, you'll achieve your true purpose" and believes that usidore doesn't truly want to kill him, because he can't conceive of goodness for the sake of goodness, rather than the sake of glory. and that, if nothing else, is the difference between him and the dark lord.

the show uses good and evil in some ways at its most basic form. you have the good wizard trying to defeat the evil dark lord. but again and again they show us that that isn't how the world works. they make friends with the dark lord's minions because they're working for a bad person but that doesn't make them bad people themselves. on finding out someone is "evil", usidore will almost always try and give them a reason to be a good. he acknowledges the position they're in, understands that it can be a privilege to always get to make the 'right' choice and tries to help them get there. when the dark lord pleads to usidore, he's not pleading for his life, he's pleading for help because he knows usidore can give that to him.

and usidore's connection to foon mirrors arnie's connection to earth. once in a while, they'll be these wonderful moments of character building for arnie and this was definitely one of the best. his connection to earth, and his family quite literally being carried with him and the way he protects that from the dark lord and ultimately from foon. the dark lord's "you're not needed in that world anymore" and arnie's "yes i am. my daughter" was such a perfect encapsulation of arnie's character. usidore's protection of foon is coupled by arnie's protection of his family, and both of those things are important. both the way we care about and protect the people close to us and the way we care about and protect our larger communities and the planet matters.

and all of that, along with the acting, the way it still managed to be consistently funny (hot blood!), the worldbuilding, the rest of the cast (erin my beloved), made that ep so special to me and for a silly little improv comedy podcast, that didn't start out trying to do any of this, i think it did some pretty cool things.

Haven’t listened to Alba Salix, so can’t recommend something strictly in that direction, but here are few I enjoyed:

Dark Ages – fantasy comedy about staff of Rivercliffe Museum of Mostly Natural Histories who tries to run their museum while their problems are not only lack of visitors but also reanimated Dark Lord who moved into one of the exhibitions; really amazing characters, hilarious story, jokes about whole genre, wlw romance, amazing theme song, my beloved <3

The Kingmaker Histories – Colette who has a deadly diamond in her head joins Eisen and Telesphore (who definitely do not do anything illegal) to get said diamond out while an even more deadly witch is following them wanting the diamond for herself; different kinds of magic and cool magic system, a lot of queer characters, set in 1911, supernatural fauna and flora (who often wants to eat you), Historian who is narrator and doesn’t understand Eisen and Telesphore relationship

Omen - three people are tasked with looking for missing girl and it soon is clear it’s much bigger case; magic, fighting, lot of magical creatures, spells, devices, such an amazing word, great soundscaping, also pirates!

Absolutely no adventures - The guy who is the chosen one of literally all the prophecies and adventures refuse to go on any adventure and instead runs a very nice bakery; really nice and cozy vibes, loveable characters

Unseen - urban fantasy anthology, every episode is told by different character and show different aspect of the world, together paint a very amazing picture, a lot of amazing voice actors

Camlann - a baby! a new fresh podcast with just two episodes! Dai, Morgan, Perry and their dog Gelert trie to survive in a world after supernatural apocalypse, so far they delt with Big Pig and Kelpie; inspired by Arthurian legends

last song you listened to: well, when I was tagged I believe the last song I’d listened to was It Ends Tonight by All American Rejects, but earlier I was listening to Qveen Herby and ended on Pink Cadillac.

last show you watched: I think the last new-to-me show I watched was Midnight Mass on Netflix, which is fucking phenomenal; do watch it if you haven’t seen it. I bawled like a baby at the end. Erin, my beloved... 🥺 I’m gonna add listened to too, because I listen to podcasts far more often than I watch any movies or shows, and since Is We Dumb just ended, I got into Can You Don’t? and the first episode was really good! I’m excited to hear what they do with it. No Accounting For Taste with Kyle Kinane and Shane Torres is also very good. (I’m a comedy junkie for the most part, if you couldn’t tell).

currently watching/listening to: always Qveen Herby. I started listening to her ironically but she’s actually everything and I love her so much. But right now I’m just bumpin’ to Wild Party’s Phantom Pop album, ‘cause I was in the mood for it. As far as watching, I have Stranger Things in my queue because I haven’t got to it yet o__o and First Bite because it looks really really good—praying it doesn’t disappoint my gay vampire-loving heart.

currently reading: Between books right now but I just read The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna, which I’ve been recommending to literally everyone because it’s just. It’s perfect, it’s everything. (Aro/Ace Protagonist if that sweetens the pot for you!) I will say though, if you look into it and intend on reading it, it’s very trigger heavy as there are very explicit descriptions of SA multiple times throughout the book. I had to take breaks from it a couple times as I was reading, but it was so worth the read. I tried to start Frankenstein because I’ve never read it before, but it’s a bit tough to focus on when I usually read because it requires more concentration, being from an earlier time and having more flowery language that’s easier to get lost in. So, I think when I can get back out to the bookstore I’m gonna pick up The Sirens of Titan and reread that, Kurt Vonnegut has never disappointed me, I always feel so refreshed after reading a Vonnegut novel, but I didn’t really comprehend TSOT when I read it in high school.

current obsession: One of my OCs; a resurrected death god who attempts to live the normal mortal life he was robbed of.
