Hi everyone!!! I’ve been thinking a lot about doing commissions recently and as much as I love to write requests for free I’m trying to figure out how to get some extra money on top of work because my schedule is really inconsistent and I’m trying to pay for college and/or an autism service dog.

I decided that since some of my options are limited and I don’t have a lot of money saved up it could be helpful to my personal situation to make some extra money from a hobby/passion if I can. Just know you’re supporting a good cause and I value you all whether you can pay or not! I’ll still be writing my own fics but I’m going to do commissions as well.

And if anyone is interested in donating money outside of commissions or has fundraising ideas I’d be very grateful and anyone who wants to should feel free to message me on tumblr.

so i gotta move for the third time in that many years. unfortunately between health problems and the General State of The Economy, I have been unable to find work to be able to save any money. i have no choice but to leave the entire state. i thankfully have somewhere to go, however I need help getting there. i've been trying to do the math to get what I need to its lowest amount possible, but even that is still at least $2.5k.

after this move, i should be able to get things more stable and I might even have a couple job prospects lined up in that area, but right now I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel funds wise and desperately need help.

if you're able to spare anything, i've set up a goal through kofi so i can track it publicly. i have trouble asking for help but i really need what help i can get. thank you, so so so much.

It's always nice to see when the MTG community comes together to do something nice for once.

In one day, the Tolarian Community College fundraiser for Trans lifeline over TRIPLED their original goal of raising 50k. And TONS of big names in the community are adding incentive prizes to those who donate. The original lottery prize was 4 collector booster boxes, but LOADS of people have chipped in more stuff, so much so that the Prof's team had to compile a list of prizes:

not to be an ass but if you're giving so much to fundraisers spread around on tumblr dot com that you're out of money that is a you problem. most are asking for single digit donations or a share for other people to decide of they want to do the same. if they are a scam, make sure you lose money you can stand to lose, and if not, 100 people who can afford to donate $5 each will add up real quick for someone who needs it and will absolutely not be a waste to anybody anywhere. if you have time and energy to research multiple fundraisers yourself, awesome, and if you don't, $1 or $5 or $10 is not going to kill you, unless it is, in which case, you can simply not donate! nobody has a gun to your head. ultimately it is your decision and your judgement call if that's something you can afford to spend, scam or otherwise, vetted yourself or otherwise, as a grown ass adult with functioning free will. it is not that complicated, next question.

Hey guys! My college didn't warn me that I needed to pay for college ahead of time, and if I try to drop out to retry again next semester, I'm still on the hook for the full $16,000 tuition. How is that fair? Especially since my income is only about $12,000 a year...

This is probably my only option if I ever want to finish college so it’s worth a shot. I am only 8 classes away from graduating college and getting my bachelor’s degree. This whole time I had no idea that the Pell Grant has a 6 year limit, so I thought I’d do college the “smart” way and take two classes at a time as to not overwhelm myself and make sure I could completely focus on learning the class subjects while handling work and everyday life. Except now unfortunately I am left unable to finish my classes and graduate even though I want to, and I’m still going to have to pay back loans for the classes that I did attend. I just want to finish my last 8 classes and get my bachelors degree in Advertising & Marketing Communications (which I picked because I thought I’d be able to make good money in that field while also being able to get creative and have some fun.) I’m the first and still the only person in my family to even get accepted into a college, I want to graduate so badly and I’m so close. Anything at all helps and it will all go towards tuition and books, even if I only get enough for one more semester.

I don’t really expect to get anything from this but I figured it’s worth it to try. Please share this post if you can, thank you so much 💕

My name is Venice, and I have a gofundme!

I've lived in California my entire life; I've never left my hometown, but I've dreamed of traveling to Italy since I was a kid. I used to collect books, art, music - basically anything I could get my hands on that connected me to the country. As I grew older, I accepted that traveling would remain, at the very least, something to look forward to for after I retire.

Imagine my surprise then when I was accepted into my school's study abroad program for study art in Florence + Rome! At first I considered turning it down, but some dear friends and family convinced me this was the opportunity of a lifetime. But now I need your help! The ability to study in your namesake city isn't one that comes lightly - although I am working and saving dutifully, the deadline is approaching fast.
