any trans person should get HRT for free (no insurance required) and in exchange they should participate in the occasional study/survey.

research into sex hormones and their effects is so scarce and you have a whole ass population group who's willing to not only switch up their hormones but keep it up for very long periods of time. you could run some incredible long term studies with participants across all sorts of demographics.

SMAP was asked what they’re most concerned about ahead of their upcoming tour. Tsuyoshi gives a non-answer just saying that they’ll do their best on the tour, but not actually saying what he’s concerned about

Nakai calls him out as a lazy idol and that his response was completely mindless, which makes Shingo defend him (but not really). (especially strong preface with “I think…”) Shingo says that that (“lazy idol”) used to be the case..

..and then asks Tsuyoshi how he got here

unfortunately i have no idea what he says but I’m guessing he bullshit (most affectionate) his way out of that one too..

because then Takuya takes a stab at trying to trip Tsuyoshi up by asking if he knows where the staff that they’re talking to are from(?)

and somehow in the most charming way imaginable..he responds..

“I got no fucking clue, man”

oh and at the end, it’s a bit….debatable what Takuya says cuz 1) it’s ridiculously slang and 2) that slang in particular can be used to add emphasis both positively and negatively lol

easiest way ive come to understand it is that he calls Tsuyoshi “really something” i.e. in the same vein/tone as calling someone “a piece of work”

WW ficlet/prompt: Dean's thoughts during the trials, specifically buying bags and bags of ice. Did they ever take baths after hunts? Hot or cold. Did he have to patch up/fever recover John like this, or is it new and terrifying? Did Sam ever tell Dean that Lucifer "runs cold"? Does the cashier make awkward small talk about hosting a BBQ?

thoughts in order:

as far as we know that ice bath was a one-time thing but I have thought quite a bit about Dean going back and forth to the ice machine in the hotel, filling the bucket and then dumping his duffel and filling it with ice and hauling that back down the hall with it freezing and starting to drip against his back and thinking in the extremely clear point-to-point way I imagine Dean thinks when he's terrified: first this thing and then the next thing and then the next thing, so that the fuzzing terror-static of what if it doesn't work gets pushed to the shoulder of the highway

baths after hunts sometimes, when the pummeling had been just that awful. epsom salts are sometimes a miracle. a three a.m. hot soak when the adrenaline rush hadn't faded with the hot water stinging in the claw-scrapes and the gravel-rash from going down in the fight, but it's the only thing that works sometimes to calm down and go to sleep. Sometimes a brother comes in and sits on the toilet and makes fun of your wet hair and jogs his knee and watches you be alive, and you watch him be alive back, and then finally at four a.m. when the water's gone cold you get out and crawl into bed (solo or not) and sleep like a coma.

they mostly don't get sick in their family, but they get sick different -- Dean gets the runny nose and the persistent cough, and Sam gets fevers to burn buildings down. This Trials fever is different but then everything about the Trials is different. Sam's hand always clammy-hot when he touches Dean for a whole week. Dean knows your brain cooks at some point but what is he gonna do? This isn't the flu, this is -- celestial, other-than-chemical. He makes sure Sam drinks water and doesn't starve.

Lucifer said he ran cold but all Sam's nightmares were about fire. Mostly what Lucifer did was lie, because the man who swears he always tells the truth is a character from a paradox. Sam burned and went icy-cold and it was hell either way. The worst part of hell was that Dean wasn't there and the worst part of the Trials was that Sam thought he was making up for not being there for Dean, that he wasn't enough or wasn't strong or wasn't worthy, and he shivered with Dean holding ice against his wrists to keep his blood temp down and thought that maybe he should have stayed in the Cage, and even if he didn't say it out loud (or thought he didn't) Dean gave him this sharp horrified look and Sam bit his lips between his teeth and tried to stop shaking.

And now the NSS and the Glitchy Gang feel bad for the idiot who thought this was gonna be a good idea becuase now Marina, Callie, Tari, Shiver and Kaizo are out on a murder mission to rescue they're friends and potentially commit all the geneva conventions on the idiot who kidnapped said friends and Big Man is the only one with morals trying to stop them

(the best part os even if you swap Marie, Pearl and Frye out with Callie, Marina and Shiver, instead it wouldn't be as scary as the other three becuase Marina is scary when her pearlie is in danger)
