New girl is probably the funniest show to ever exist.

It’ll hold up because all the characters:

1) aren’t overly sexual

2) don’t use lgbt racial,or religious minorities at the expense of their jokes

3) don’t self medicate using dangerous substances (one of the main characters works at a bar,and he doesn’t take advantage of that)

4) Every character is likeable,and all of them have real attainable jobs that any adult can obtain if they tried hard enough. They don’t glorify bad habits,try to do the right thing in the end.All of them are comfortable in their sexuality/ masculinity, enough to say they love eachother and go as far as to kiss one another. They’re comfortable enough to talk to their friends about anything without judgement;even when they did something bad.

5) They’re also willing to be adults about something like still being friends with your ex without it being awkward etc. it also shows that you can still have roommates when you’re in your 30s without feeling pressured to move out and start the rest of your life and settle down. It also doesn’t glorify l.a. life.

6) They all support each other in their careers. One is a model,and isn’t pressured to have an eating disorder,and she still is best friends with the same person she’s known since middle school. They do normal things together,the same normal things they’ve always done. The show also let’s you know that it’s okay that you’ve had multiple sexual partners before you find “the one”

I’d be happy to say that I enjoyed the show and watched it multiple times. Because I seriously don’t see the show ever becoming cringe,or apart of “cancel culture”like any show that Ryan Murphy had produced.I can see this show becoming loved by future generations. It also accurately represents being an adult and still figuring things out. It also says “you don’t have to dress provocatively just because you’re an adult”

Hey hey! What's your favorite episode of a show (any show) that you don't see people talking about enough?

i'm struggling to pinpoint something that matters to me that i don't see people already talking about? let's go with a random ass new girl episode, specifically the "background check" ep of season 4. that is one i always say is my favorite, and for good reason. it has all the dynamics in it you could ever want, schmidt/cece fun tension and a kiss, and the humor is top notch.
