Daisy Johnson/Daniel Sousa - Invisible String by Taylor Swift

so i said i would write an essay on this. So I will.

minor mentions of PTSD, therapy and the traumas they've both been through

A huge theme for Daisy and Daniel is time. Obviously.

"time, curious time. gave me no compass, gave me no signs."

neither of them expected each other. For Daisy, this was just another mission, where everything was on the line. For Daniel, it was literally just another day at the office. Until he opened that office door.

"were there clues I didn't see?"

It has been said that their relationship was rushed in that last season of AoS and it was, due to the fact it was a short last season of the show where there was everyone's plot points to wrap up. BUT, I could wax lyrical about little things that you can pick up in both of their character developments through the respective shows (AoS for Daisy, Agent Carter for Daniel), that make them ideal for each other. Both bullheaded, quick witted, willing to do whatever it takes for the good of other people. The way they compliment each other's personalities. Sousa's measured calm to Daisy raging storm.

"time, mystical time. Cutting me open, then healing me fine."

this applies to them both, but I mainly think about it from Daisy's perspective. Throughout the show she goes through huge trauma, huge things that, through lack of time to process or just huge attempts to internalise it she moves on from. Her whole childhood. Trip giving his life to try and save hers. Her mother almost killing her. Lincoln's death. Coulson's dying and coming back in various forms. Fitz forcibly removing her inhibitor. Fitz dying. May dying. Although she's not healed completely, time forced her to move on. I feel like she's the kind of person to say she was 'fine' when she is indeed, not.

"A string that pulled me, out of all the wrong arms."

Whether there was something, fate or subconscious, that moved Daisy away from the darker paths she could have gone down. Something cosmic that would lead her to something even better. To a life with him.

"Something wrapped all my past mistake in barbed wire"

Theres a deep debate in my heart about the way the rest of the team treat Daisy over the seasons. Don't get me wrong, I love them all dearly but I think a lot of pressure is placed on her shoulders. Knowing someone as well as the team know each other, leads to past mistakes being brought up even years later. Think Fitz (I love him don't come for me) saying "do you want me to list all the times you did [turn her back on the team]". I think Sousa, our protective boy, would provide a relief from this, a comfort that she was more than the mistakes she'd made, how she'd proven herself time and time again. Maybe it's due to the fact that he hadn't been present then, the fact he solely knew the person she was now and not how she'd got there.

"Chains around my demons, wool to brave the seasons"

All I can think is Ghost Rider here sorry.

But I'd also like to think that they both force each other to confront things, I like to think Daisy suggests going to one of the Shield therapists Mack hired would be good for Sousa as he is thrown into the 21st Century as well as the PTSD he likely has from his injury and the war. I also think he would suggest it as a good option for her, after a few sessions of his own, and they's have therapy and then go on lunch dates. Dealing with the demons, together.

"Cold was the steel of my axe to grind."

To me, this is Daniel and their first meeting. The frame of mind he was in when he found that fake CIA agent sat at his desk, after the emotional ringer he'd been put through thinking Peggy had arrived and then finding out it was a imposter. The anger and emotional rawness he was feeling. That (after some initial defensiveness) was healed by this fun to be around superhero that says what she means.

"Gold was the color of the leaves, When I showed you around Centennial Park"

This is off topic for this piece, but imagine, the pair of them taking a walk around the town close to the Lighthouse when the mission debrief was over. The pair of them chatting, Daniel enraptured when Daisy throws her head back in a laugh as they walk through the park, leaves crunching beneath their feet. And it just feels so normal.

"Hell was the journey, but it brought me heaven."

I have nothing to say, both of them went through hell and back,

"Time, wondrous time. Gave me the blues and then purple pink skies"

Time brought her to him. Time hopping kept them connected. TIme loops bringing them closer, at least for Daisy.

I like to think of Daisy, on a early morning watching a sleeping Daniel in the light of a beautiful sunrise, looking back on her life, wondering if everything she's gone through, although awful, meant that it lead her to this life with him. This unequivocal support, this life outside of shield that she never thought she'd have.

Look at how relaxed and comfortable and ALIVE he looks! Look at how happy! How at peace! How snuggled by sheep! Look at the sleeping smile and the sprawled out pose and the hiked up shirt. Look at his bare feet. GOSH this is so overdue for him, a moment like this where he can just rest.

And look at the sheep. Just accepting him into the flock and snoozing along with him. When I'm having a bad day from now on I'm just going to remind myself that this exists.

This is such a perfect way to bring such a lovely scene from @oonajaeadira's story to life. I love it so very much.

Winter break is coming to an end [next semester starts the 21st D:] and I suspect this semester + year in general might be a bit busier than last, so I kicked it into high gear and actually tried scripting and drafting the next few parts to chapter 2 (One of my New Years resolutions; actually think before I act, a.k.a script and draft before I draw cuz last year was a clusterfluff ×_×) while at the same time trying to get used to drawing Centi and drawing up extra backgrounds.

I am still lurking about, just working to make sure this chapter doesn't loose traction and become sloppy towards the end like prologue and chapter 1 kind of did. (For me at least. :P)

But, i am also making random stuffs in this au to entertain y'all for the long wait.^^ you know scenarios, headcanons, character design, all that fun stuff.^^

Aaaaaand with that anticlimactic exchange, I'm bringing the chapter's end here.

Don't wanna get too dramatic this early in, [since I already milked the drama slightly here to begin with-] not to mention me not wanting to drag out too much and end on another close-up shot.

Soooo, this was a bit of a clusterfluff of a start, but hopefully I managed to land some kind of hit here.

I'm gonna take a brief hiatus from this for now; of course I won't stop drawing Lil Quartz and his crew, but comic wise, I need time to actually PLAN out the script and sketches of the next chapter, while at the same time sprucing up some of chapter one's pages and some prologue shots. [Cuz both were me going in blind, no sketches or full script, and i need to re-evaluate my nonsense and straighten things out. x_x] I'll keep y'all updated on Chapter 2's progress throughout this hold, dw. :3

Klaus Mikaelson x fem!reader x Eric Northman

So @insertsomethingsillyhereple-blog  requested something super interesting! Basically, a "Ultimate Vampire Media Showdown".

So I'm creating a new series for these types of requests called Clusterfluff (because I love puns and yall are gonna have to deal with it). Little drabbles with how I imagine the situation would go. In this case, they requested volturi Kidnapping, magic, and sibling rivalry vibes. I love it.

- Seeing two vampires in a face down was usually pretty terrifying. But seeing two 1,000+ year old vampires facing each other down? 

-Things were not going to end well. 

- Eric, the 1,070 year old vampire at a whopping 6′4 stared down at the hybrid with an amused smile. Klaus, around 1,034 years old and 5′11 had never met someone truly his match. 

- “This is the one who’s got everyone in that tiny town so scared?” Eric tutted with a patronizing tone that made Klaus want to stick a stake through the heart of another blond vampire who got in his way. 

- “That town fears me, as does every vampire. They fear what I can do, that I could hold their lives in my hands.” Klaus barked back. 

“Right...” Eric looked back to his original errand, saving (Y/N) from a group of Italian pricks who looked like they just came back from the Renaissance festival. 

- For Klaus and Eric, vampires with abilities were unheard of or extremely rare. And unfortunately, they were face to face with several of them. According to intel from the Bennet witch, Aro surrounded himself with vampires who had special talents. Marcus, who could seem links between others and spot out the leader. The wide eyed Jane, who could make someone feel pain with just a glance, and her twin brother, Alec, who had a thick smoke that would numb the senses. Then there was Aro himself, who could know anyone’s thoughts from a touch. 

- It would be tricky, but not impossible. 

“Ahhh,” Aro’s voice carried through the marble halls of the Volturi chambers, “Mr. Northman and Mr. Mikaels-” 

-”Enough out of you.” Eric cut Aro off before he continued, looking at (Y/N) who was held in Felix’s tight grip. “You alright?” The newcomer disrespecting Aro had the entire Volturi whispering. The two vampires who came for this woman were older then them all, even Aro himself, they had over three hundred years on him. The Volturi had made it a point to... nullify any older vampires, these two must have slipped through the cracks. 

- (Y/N), more stressed that Klaus and Eric independently took it upon themselves to save her, rolled her eyes and nodded. Sure, these frozen prices had gotten the drop on her, but her being "inprisoned" was more just her curious about all the new vampires she was seeing.

- When Klaus had first discovered (Y/N), he referred to her as a heretic; a vampire who could control magic. Eric had posited that she had fairy ancestry and would taste delicious were she human. Whatever that meant. 

-“Oh this is getting ridiculous. Phasmatos Morsinus Pyrox Allum.” The vampires around her, including her “knights in shining armour” were making their way to the ground, holding their heads in agony. 

-(Y/N) simply grabbed the vikings by the arm and leg, dragging them towards the exit.

- “This will not be the last we see you!” Aro called over the sound of small fractures in his body breaking over and over, “You will never rest!” 

“I’m in the crossfires of two massive vikings, I never rest anyway.”

-Getting back to Mystic Falls was the challenge, and that’s coming from someone who was just kidnapped. 

-“Clearly, your security is lacking and those pompous Italian fucks will be back for all of us, so let’s go." Eric turned his back on Klaus, expecting (Y/N) to follow.

- Klaus scoffed, "My security? I could have the strongest witches this side of the bloody ground and beyond to cast a protection spell to keep anyone and everyone out of my compound." He pointed towards the other, "You have what? A pathetic excuse for a swat team with bullets that did nothing but ricochet off of those walking popsicles."

- Yeah, that was basically what had happened.

- With blinding speed, Eric was back in front of Klaus who held his ground like a mountain in a storm.

- Eric was a man used to combat, he was mortally wounded in the midst of fighting. He was a battle hardened warrior, fighting for justice for his family. He was hunched over. His chest puffed out. Fangs bared. Intimidation was his strong suit.

- Klaus, quite the opposite. While he was taught how to fight by his father, their village had never been under threat by an opposing kingdom. Klaus, at his core, under the years of anger and resentment, guilt, was an artist. He was kind, fell in love too easily and it was usually with the wrong person.

- Regardless of both of those things, they were still acting like the world's tallest children fighting over the shiny new toy.

- So

- Let them have their little skwabble. Rumor told of a sleepy little town in Washington that would a wonderful place to settle for a time.

-It wasn't until Eric broke their staring match that he saw (Y/N) gone.

- "(Y/N)?"

- "Where did she go?"

- "Do I look like I know?"

- "You don't look like you know much of anything."

- "Jesus fuck, do you ever stop?" Eric narrowed his eyes.

their house will most likely have to follow the same magical room system as the house in encanto

there's eldritch plants in one area, regular plants in another, medical herbs in a different corner

despite all the death magic, the place is teeming with life and creation

Just in case anyone is wondering how my writing is going, here was today’s intended goals:

Secret Baby - 5,000 words

Virgin Widow - finish

What actually happened was:

Start Secret Baby, remember something I wanted to add onto Happy Endings.  While doing that remember that Halloween fic I’ve been chipping away at and track that down because I didn’t put it in it’s own word file and forgot which one it’s in.  Find it in Warring Houses.  Remember something I wanted to add to that fic.  Remember to put Halloween fic in it’s own file and get distracted by that for a few hundred words.  Go back to Warring Houses.  Inexplicably start plotting Optimus philosophical/horror fic (with happy ending).  Get distracted making chocolate dipped strawberries.

Hopefully the sugar rush (because I can’t abuse caffeine anymore) will help.

Excerpt from today’s clusterfluff: Virgin Widow

Jazz moved onto the next piece in the pile that needed fixing.  On a ship it never ended.  He scooped more grease onto his cloth.

He hadn’t expected to ever bond.  Most bots would see him and run the other way.  It was just that…

Jazz wanted to throw the can across the room.  He wanted to take the wheel and twist it in his servos until it was warped and distorted.

He set everything gently back into place.

He’d known it wasn’t a love match.  He’d just thought that the other mech might have been in the same situation as Jazz. If neither of them had a choice, if they were both being forced into this, then they couldn’t really hate each other.  He’d thought that they could at least try to make each other happy. 

He had wanted to try.

Jazz vented slowly and lifted the next part on the list to be fixed.

He was the Captain. He had led his crew through pirate attacks, gravity wells, and foreign customs.  Sometimes, even in space, the only direction was forward.
