Prompt 278
You know what I’ve gotten obsessed with and inspired by? Dredge.
You know what is also fun? Merfolk. What’s even better? Lovecraftian corrupted merfolk. Especially if say, one goes with the Lazarus Waters being a form of ectoplasm. So, in this? Lazarus waters are like lakes, while Amity Park, thanks to the Portal, and the barriers? It is an entire sea.
There are islands, small areas that were once the tips of buildings that have gathered more landmass around them. There are mangroves, trees not like anything on earth or anywhere else stretching up in canopies dark enough to block out the sun, yet lit by the green waters.
It goes deep. Mariana Trench deep, despite it being impossible. The GIW have explored for caves or tunnels, they’ve tried to find some sort of explanation, but there isn’t one.
Now all that ecto? That has an effect on people. They mutate, they change, they adapt. Anywhere else would have been a slow death- something the GIW might have even been counting on. But Amity Park? It was founded by witches, it was the hotspot for the supernatural, even before the Fentonwork Portal. They’ve been dealing with this sort of energy in microdoses from the moment they first began to live in the city in any generation.
But they begin to adapt. Shift into something… other. Some stay contaminated, clinging to human forms as they form homes on the tiny islands, fishing and farming what they can. Others become Liminal, almost seeming to meld with fish, some similar to ones of the Living and others something just to the left. Similar yes, but not quite… right. And then there are those that have truly melded with the energy of the dead, forms torn asunder by it, ripped apart and made anew by it.
The first sign back when the barrier was activated, when they could no longer leave and were trapped were the fish in the lake. And now they are the same, with gazes of something Else, with gnashing teeth and a hunger gnawing at where hearts once were.
But they aren’t monsters. They’re still themselves. Just a little… Other now.

Run, run and don't stop running
Flash lived the end of the world again and was thinking about how to retire from being a hero; It actually started out as a pretty normal day, everyone was at the Watchtower for a meeting when Batman showed up with a strange book.
The book had summoning rituals and information about ghosts. Flash scoffed at it until Batman talked about the Joker trying to buy it from warlocks and use it, luckily he hadn't succeeded because of Bruce intervention. They all agreed to leave the book with Constantine, who looked sulky about the situation.
The problem was what happened shortly after; while they were trying to deal with another invasion (of strange, glowing, one-eyed beings) the Joker appeared in the middle of the battle with a wide smile and the same book that Constantine had been given (Constantine was really confused, he was sure he left the book in a place where not even humans can enter) Flash had a bad feeling when the villain picked it up and started talking, beginning the summoning ritual.
His bad feeling grew as he watched a necklace with a red stone shone around the villain's neck. Joker laughed commenting that it was a family heirloom (although he didn't ask). And that it was his precious treasure.
From there, everything went to hell. All the creatures saw the portal opening and bowed in respect. Shortly after "The Ghost King" appeared, the entire League had fallen in battle. The one-eyed beings were hard but ¿this? This was on another level, not even Superman could win against it. And Batman didn't had a backup plan for an unknown enemy.
Flash looked into the King's expressionless red eyes as he backed away, and just when he thought all was lost, he heard a voice. Everything around him froze.
"Run, run and change my son's future"
Not knowing what the voice meant and noticing that time seemed frozen, he began to run. He was going to run and turn back time, change the future, steal that book, kill the Ghost King, he didn't know what he would do, but he hoped it would work.
From the Infinite Realms, Clockwork frowned at his screen. And for once in centuries, he would help the Speedforce change the future, regardless of the consequences.

The Quetzal-dragon, Gatafu, so close to done! And yet, still so much to do. The head will be getting a few more touches (mainly airbrush), but other parts still have a little way to go.
The bodysuit, especially. A combination of things - some which were obvious dumb mistakes, some which defy explanation - made it necessary to completely re-do the torso and arms. The sewing on that is almost done now, at least.
There’s not that many tasks left on this project all together, but it still feels equivalent to scaling a mountain. The whole project has been so involved and has taken so long, you can start to believe that it’s impossible to actually finish.

I heard you were recording all the reptilian critters of Morrowind and other places? Well, looks like there was once one more critters that got extinct. Silly lizard that looks similar to clannfear, according to the recent Loremasters archive. Just a lil guy (pictured here as not alive)

If you mean the phylogeny thing (which I have been working on on and off slowly. I just keep changing my mind and having to redo things oops) than yes, this is a very interesting development for that!
(for context, the screenshot is talking about these thing from Tribunal and ESO v)

It makes me wonder how the real animal differed from the fabricant. Presumably the core body/head non robotic looking parts on these models represent the animal pretty accurately, and they legs and spines/horn, while mechanical in the Tribunal version, are probably the same as well. The arms might be a Sotha Sil thing though. Idk how they are in ESO, but they are pretty hostile and dangerous in Tribunal. I'm curious if that would represent the real animal as well, or where they would fall in the food chain. They certainly look carnivorous.
Currently in my little phylogeny project, I actually don't have any of the "Morrowind Freaks" (as I've been lovingly calling them in my files) as true reptiles, but these look very reptilian or dinosaurian, so I'll have to ponder a bit on where these guys should fit in.
It also makes me wonder if these things from Tribunal are also based on some kind of real animal:

Thank you for sharing! I don't think I would've seen this otherwise.

thesis: Clockwork is not jaded
The aloof uncaring immortal is such a human concept. Humans think about things in terms of what is worth our time, and that's the core of the "aloof immortal” concept. “None of these little pleb mortal things are worth my time,” says [every jrpg final boss ever]. But really, being immortal removes the question altogether. Time is not a commodity when it is infinite. Wasting it is simply not possible.
Clockwork is immortal, Clockwork can choose to see any and everything, which means: there's no rush! and! they know exactly how ephemeral and transient reality is. Being able to see the lines of cause and effect, they know how impactful these tiny, delicate things are. These things are not insignificant. NOTHING is insignificant. And in order to really navigate and to know exactly what they’re doing when screwing around in the timestream, they have to pay attention to those little details because the small things are the real things. They're what drive the big things, what CREATE the big things. Attention to detail is Clockwork’s most powerful tool. And like, fam? You don't spend millennia paying acute attention to detail and not end up in love with the universe. Ya just don't.

Prompt 155
So, Booster would have loved to know that becoming the equivalent of a Time-Cop would mean meeting what is apparently the primordial being of Time itself. He would have also loved to know it apparently also came with an adoption. And a small child that was apparently supposed to be sixteen but there was apparently some sort of accident in the dimension he (was the kid a boy??) came from. So.
He had a kid now. He… well shit, he had no clue what to do. Actually, he knows exactly what he’s going to do, he’s going to call Ted. Who will probably have an idea on what to do. Or what a four- oh you’re five? He’d probably have an idea on what a five year old might need.
He himself would push this hysterical breakdown over the fact he’s apparently now adopted by Time Itself to a later time. A later time when he’s not holding a fragile small child.
