Francesco Cavestri torna a Bologna in concerto
Info biglietti: https://www.istitutoramazzini.it/prenotazioni/concerto-jazz-francesco-cavestri-trio-iki-bellezza-ispiratrice-tour/

How I would change the Resident Evil 2 Remake
As much as I love the RE2 Remake, there are things I would change about the game. Here is how I would change the RE2 Remake.
More Raccoon City. Before we arrive to the Police Station, we see more of Raccoon City. Simply let us explore the atmosphere of the City, maybe even let us go to Kendo’s Gun Shop before arriving(Kendo was done dirty in the remakes) Just let us see the City and how the T-Virus affected it in the remake.
More interactions between Leon and Claire. They would meet in the S.T.A.R.S. Office. They would then give each other radios to stay in contact. They would talk on the radio after certain points, plenty of chances to flirt with each other. They would then find each other in the sewer. Leon and Claire would promise to look after Sherry together, while Leon still does help Ada, he is more present with Claire and Sherry. After being taken away, Sherry’s pendant would be found by Ada. Claire and Leon would coordinate getting Sherry to safety. Then Leon and Claire bring Sherry to Nest for treatment. Upon realizing who Ada is, Annette tries to shoot her and Leon gets in the way. Then we play as Ada trying to get a Sample of the G-Virus. Leon realizes he cannot trust Ada, so has their stand off, Annette shoots Ada and falls the same. But Ada does get the sample from Sherry’s locket. Leon tosses the G-Virus. Leon reunites with Claire and Sherry, Together Leon and Claire would take down William. And keep in Annete’s farewell to Sherry. Sherry would help in unhooking the cable car and she is instrumental in finally bringing down William. We get the same ending with Leon, Claire and Sherry together.
Replace Claire’s look in the remake with something like this Art by MattArtverse
Add in costumes from the original game
Characters are not locked by separate paths. For Leon, Leon would meet with Chief Irons. He would see how corrupt and insane he is and Leon would help Ben out of his cell, however before Ben could get free, Mr X kills him. Leon would meet Sherry in the station. Entering the Stars Office should have been a cutscene of Leon meeting with Claire, along with a moment of Leon spotting Sherry as he left. Even with the new lay out, it could have culminated in the briefing room with Sherry shuffling out via the blocked/broken door. It leads up directly too Chief Irons' Office, so would have flowed perfectly with him kidnapping her. So when Leon meets up with Claire, the two of them plan to save Sherry. For Claire, prior to heading to the Police Station, Claire would run into Robert Kendo and he would give her a special gun specifically ordered by Chris for her sister to have, this could be Claire’s very own Samurai Edge or it could be the Bowgun. We would have her meet with Ben Bertolucci. Claire would find out that Chris hired Ben to investigate Umbrella, while Chris goes undercover in Europe and Claire would hear about what Chris went through from Ben. We’d have Claire meet Ada. Maybe the two of them take down the Giant Moth together, something like that.
Keep Ada’s original cover story. I liked Ada’s cover story of her being John’s girlfriend. After reading John's heartbreaking letter to Ada in the RE 1 remake, it kind of pissed me off that they got rid of that in favor of FBI cover. Ada tells Leon she’s looking for her boyfriend John who was a researcher for Umbrella, so Leon feels it’s his responsible for her safety, so he berates her for going off on her own. We’d also have Ada telling Annette about John. Annette sees it as Ada "selling the G-Virus for revenge for her lover"
Cut enemies are in. Crows would be frequent enemies. Giant Spiders would appear in the sewers along with the G-Mutants. The Giant Moth would appear in Nest. We’d also get the Licker Zombies, Wheelchair Zombies and The Condemned that were cut. The Licker Zombie appears to be zombie with a Licker's head, suggesting that it may be a Licker that has not fully transformed. Another theory is that it could have been a new type of Licker as a result of infecting a zombie host, rather than an actual human host. The Wheelchair Zombie, still wearing a lab coat, visually appears as if it could be an Umbrella laboratory scientist possibly in the early stages of a G virus transformation, or one who has not completely or successfully transformed. Given that he is still using the controls on his wheel chair and has some level of his previous intelligence, it is unlikely that he has the standard T-Virus infection. The Condemned appears to show a skinny child in some sort of neck brace. It was originally scheduled to show up in the Orphanage section of Resident Evil 2 Remake. Given that Umbrella did experiments on the children at this Orphanage, this may explain his transformation. Originally, the Condemned was to appear in the Orphanage portion of the game, possibly posing a threat to Sherry Birkin.
Mr X’s Final form looks more like the original

What’s Everyone Reading?
Rembrandt usually reads comics though he does like some fantasy books like Lord of the Rings. General rule is he likes media with unconventional heroes that’s more optimistic in tone or outlook. (Would absolutely love Willow and Dark Crystal)
Swan really likes Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories. He also really liked Watership Down and has read some more classical works because of Cleon. Though outside the works mentioned he actually reads a fair amount of nonfiction and poetry.
Cleon is an absolute nut for Greek and Roman mythology/history. He’s the one who nicknamed gave ‘Ajax’ his nickname. And prior to calling him ‘Swan’, he used to call Swan ‘Hector’.
Cowboy likes westerns though he’s also read some gay/lesbian pulp novels and Mary Renault (not a fan but he has his needs). His favorite novel is Maurice.
Mercy will read whatever everyone else is reading. (She liked Lord of the Rings okay) But when left on her own really likes romance novels and Danielle Steel especially.
#they're gonna be worried about us [rembrandt headcanon]#make your move [swan headcanon]#maybe i'm looking for some real action [mercy headcanon]#the power was too sweet to let go [cleon headcanon]#not the hat [cowboy headcanon]

TMI Tuesday
Tuesday! What a week that was... Summer school ended, the last two weeks of vacation began, my husband and I were both sick as dogs but... writing happened Yay!
Please remember: if you read a fic you enjoyed on AO3 or on Tumblr (not just mine), please take the time to comment and/or leave kudos, and to reach out on TMI Tuesday. It means a lot to the writers and artists.
Writer to writer engagement is part of fandom lifeblood. Writing can be a very solitary and lonely activity, and when writers talk, it can enhance, it can inspire, it can bolster confidence, it can do ALL of those things, but lately, one reason and another - lack mostly - it has had the opposite effect (not just for me). That’s one reason that I will ALWAYS send a TMI question to my fellow writers.
I’m late posting this this week, because I just edited and translated some of the text in a 12.5k words of a Tolkien fic, but I’m here!
Posted this week:
This week I posted:
Chapter 3 of Not Yours To Keep
While grieving the loss of the fourteenth Cleon, the younger brother he loved as a son, Day seeks distraction in the company of a new concubine from the Gossamer Court. No one could have predicted the events that follow - nor the way in which Cleon XIII decides to deal with the situation.
On Whose Hands
Belle has no memory of how she has so much blood on her hands, but it seems the townsfolk have turned against her, blaming her for some unseen crime. Rumplestiltskin, under the control of the Dark One's Dagger, held by Zelena, suddenly appears and makes matters a whole lot worse. Canon compliant variation of what might have happened when Rumple was trying to warn the people of Storybrooke of Zelena's dark intentions during the time he was her prisoner.
On the cards for this week:.
Disparate Pathways - Chapter 43
Gold has a past, a past that he has rejected, but it seems one that will not let him go. Belle, daughter of Governor Maurice French has been kidnapped, along with her mother, and just as the authorities raid the organization that is holding her hostage, decides to make her own bid for freedom, unknowingly derailing an undercover sting, and Agent Milnor has not choice but to take her into 'protective custody,' but is he all that he seems? As the threads of the story grow more tangled and the threat to Belle, and to Gold, her appointed protector, grow ever more real, a growing, mutual attraction makes everything far more desperate and far too personal for Gold to ignore what he knows to be the truth.
What the Actual Fuck! - Chapter 8
Prime Minister Robert Sutherland is feeling pressured, and isn’t prepared to acquiesce to the repeated challenges from within his cabinet nor the wider circle of those around him. He resorts to drastic measures to ascertain who can be trusted, turning to an ‘old friend’ to help him separate the wheat from the chaff. Said friend promises to send in his best operative to assist the PM, the trouble is the operative finds out more than Robert necessarily wants to know, and all this just as all hell is breaking loose around him; people hurt, Britain in chaos and multiple deaths push him into making some hard hitting decisions in order to safeguard himself, the country, and the people he cares about.
Next up:
Not Yours To Keep - Chapter 4 (?)
While grieving the loss of the fourteenth Cleon, the younger brother he loved as a son, Day seeks distraction in the company of a new concubine from the Gossamer Court. No one could have predicted the events that follow - nor the way in which Cleon XIII decides to deal with the situation.
Ask suggestions
Ask something about any of my fics (full list is below the cut). If you want specifics from some fics that are already outlined, you can ask about:
Disparate Pathways, Chapters 43 through 54 All Our Past Mistakes, Chapters 11 through 44 Lover’s Leap Series, Stories 15 through 31 Time’s Curse, Chapters 4 through 10 Laer o Faen, Chapter 27 Stargate: Atlantis, Harms Way or any of the 20 fics in the series.
Ask something of any of my characters in general or you can get really specific if you like - for example you might want to ask Gold from Pawn Shop a question about a chapter, a thought, a feeling… (the world is your oyster really)
Ask about my process as a writer, what makes me tick,, or even ask about me personally. There’s also This Guessing Game that is still available for you to play.
Also, if you want to see a specific character or fic featured in Three Things Thursday, or Saturday Secret, feel free to send in prompts, if no one does, then either the choice will be random or they just won’t happen at all. I made an analogy for why that might be in a different post about a car stuck in the mud with spinning wheels.
You can find all my fics currently on AO3 here, and there is a full list under this cut.

Madame Sul-Te-Wan
Madame Sul-Te-Wan (born Nellie Crawford; March 7, 1873 – February 1, 1959) was an American stage, film and television actress for over 50 years. The daughter of former slaves, she began her career in entertainment touring the East Coast with various theatrical companies and moved to California to become a member of the fledgling film community. She became known as a character actress, appeared in high-profile films such as The Birth of a Nation (1915) and Intolerance (1916), and easily navigated the transition to the sound films.
Nellie Crawford was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to former slaves Cleon De Londa and Silas Crawford. Her father left the family early in her life, and her mother became a laundress for Louisville stage actresses. Young Nellie became enchanted by watching the young actresses rehearse when she delivered laundry for her mother. When she was older she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, joined a theatrical company called Three Black Cloaks, and began billing herself as Creole Nell. She also formed her own theatrical companies and toured the East Coast. After moving to California, Madame Sul-Te-Wan began her film career in uncredited roles in director D. W. Griffith's controversial 1915 drama Birth of a Nation. Sul-Te-Wan had allegedly written Griffith a letter of introduction after hearing that Griffith was shooting a film in her Kentucky hometown. Griffith had intended that he would play a rich landowner who spits in the face of a woman who slights him. The scene was cut by the censors but Madame Sul-Te-Wan was hired at $3 a day and this became the first contract for a black woman when she was hired at $25 a week. Sul-Te-Wan had managed to get the role by her extravagant dress which caught Griffith's attention.
In the early 1900s, Sul-Te-Wan married Robert Reed Conley. They had three sons, but Conley abandoned his family when the third boy was only three weeks old. Two of her sons, Odel and Onest Conley, became actors and appeared in several films. Some of these film featured their mother.
Following her roles for Griffith, Madame Sul-Te-Wan followed up in 1916 with a role in the Anita Loos-penned drama The Children Pay with Lillian Gish and in 1917 with Gish's sister Dorothy in the Edward Morrissey-directed drama Stage Struck.
Throughout the 1910s and 1920s, Madame Sul-Te-Wan would establish herself as a publicly recognizable character actress. In 1918 she appeared (uncredited) in Tarzan of the Apes as Jane's maid, Esmerelda. Most often appearing in "Mammy" roles alongside such popular actors of the silent film era as Tom Mix, Leatrice Joy, Matt Moore, Mildred Harris, Harry Carey, Robert Harron, and Mae Marsh. She appeared in the 1927 James W. Horne-directed Buster Keaton comedy College, and in the 1929 Erich von Stroheim-directed drama Queen Kelly, starring Gloria Swanson.
Madame Sul-Te-Wan transitioned into the talkie era with relative ease and continued to appear in high-profile films alongside such prominent film actors as Conrad Nagel, Barbara Stanwyck, Fay Wray, Richard Barthelmess, Jane Wyman, Luise Rainer, Melvyn Douglas, Lucille Ball, Veronica Lake and Claudette Colbert. However, as a black woman in the era of segregation, she was consistently limited to appearing in roles as minor characters who were usually convicts, "native women", or domestic servants, such as her role as a "Native Handmaiden" in the 1933 box-office hit King Kong. Despite the motion picture industry's limitations for African-American performers, Sul-Te-Wan worked consistently throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
In 1937, Sul-Te-Wan was cast in the memorable role of Tituba in the film Maid of Salem, a dramatic retelling of the events surrounding of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. The film starred Claudette Colbert, Fred MacMurray, Gale Sondergaard, Pedro de Cordoba, and Louise Dresser and was rather financially successful. Sul-Te-Wan's performance garnered critical praise.
On September 12, 1953, a banquet was held at the Hollywood Playground Auditorium to honor Madame Sul-Te-Wan by motion picture actors and film personalities. Amongst the 200 guests who attended the event were Louise Beavers, Rex Ingram, Mae Marsh, Eugene Pallette and Maude Eburne.
In 1954, Sul-Te-Wan appeared in the Otto Preminger directed and almost entirely African-American cast musical drama Carmen Jones opposite Dorothy Dandridge, Harry Belafonte, Diahann Carroll, and Pearl Bailey as Dandridge's grandmother. The film marked a departure for Sul-Te-Wan, who after appearing onscreen for over four decades, was finally able to act in a role that was atypical of her "Mammy" roles. The pairing of Dandridge and Sul-Te-Wan in Carmen Jones spawned a still widely believed but erroneous rumor – that Sul-Te-Wan was Dandridge's actual grandmother (some allege that she is Dandridge's great-grandmother). However, there is no merit to the claim and the two women are unrelated.
At age 77, Sul-Te-Wan married for the second time, to German immigrant Anton Ebentheuer. The marriage lasted three years. During the 1950s, while in her 80s, she continued to appear onscreen in a number of well-received films, albeit now mostly in smaller bit parts and often uncredited. Her last screen appearance came in the 1958 Anthony Quinn-directed adventure film The Buccaneer, starring Yul Brynner and Charlton Heston.
On February 1, 1959, Madame Sul-Te-Wan died after suffering a stroke at the age of 85 at the Motion Picture Actors' Home in Woodland Hills, California.[10] She was interred at the Pierce Brothers' Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California.
In 1986, she was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame. Sul-Te-Wan was the first black actor, male or female, to sign a film contract and be a featured performer.

Daenerys Targaryen's tropes - Upbringing Makes the Hero
"Heroes are made, not born" is a common and unstated theme in a lot of works. Though a good many heroic origins proudly trot out heroes who have been raised in The Spartan Way and can look Death in the eye-sockets without blinking before leaving their Tibetan monastery home, quite a few grew up Farm Boys who never picked up anything sharper than a hoe, though those can be quite a handful.
In fact, heroes with a down to earth upbringing tend to have a unique advantage over the more badass and epic ones: they're more centered. While they won't be saints, they'll have a strong enough moral compass to navigate most moral dilemmas, resist The Dark Side, and even refute Hannibal Lectures that more emotionally fragile heroes struggle with. If they gain super powers, they won't forget "the little people" and turn into a Smug Super with delusions of grandeur. Though they didn't gain the crime-fighting prowess of a lifetime of Charles Atlas training, or the street-savvy of an orphan with a Dark and Troubled Past, they also didn't sacrifice basic skills or their social life.
Daenerys's background
A princess, Dany thought. She had forgotten what that was like. Perhaps she had never really known. (AGOT Daenerys I)
~
After Ser Willem had died, the servants had stolen what little money they had left, and soon after they had been put out of the big house. Dany had cried when the red door closed behind them forever.
They had wandered since then, from Braavos to Myr, from Myr to Tyrosh, and on to Qohor and Volantis and Lys, never staying long in any one place. Her brother would not allow it. The Usurper’s hired knives were close behind them, he insisted, though Dany had never seen one.
At first the magisters and archons and merchant princes were pleased to welcome the last Targaryens to their homes and tables, but as the years passed and the Usurper continued to sit upon the Iron Throne, doors closed and their lives grew meaner. Years past they had been forced to sell their last few treasures, and now even the coin they had gotten from Mother’s crown had gone. In the alleys and wine sinks of Pentos, they called her brother “the beggar king.” Dany did not want to know what they called her. (AGOT Daenerys I)
~
“The Milk Men shun him. Khaleesi, do you see the girl in the felt hat? There, behind the fat priest. She is a—”
“—cutpurse,” finished Dany. She was no pampered lady, blind to such things. She had seen cutpurses aplenty in the streets of the Free Cities, during the years she’d spent with her brother, running from the Usurper’s hired knives. (ACOK Daenerys III)
~
“My brother visited Pentos, Myr, Braavos, near all the Free Cities. The magisters and archons fed him wine and promises, but his soul was starved to death. A man cannot sup from the beggar’s bowl all his life and stay a man. I had my taste in Qarth, that was enough. I will not come to Pentos bowl in hand.”
“Better to come a beggar than a slaver,” Arstan said.
“There speaks one who has been neither.” Dany’s nostrils flared. “Do you know what it is like to be sold, squire? I do. My brother sold me to Khal Drogo for the promise of a golden crown. Well, Drogo crowned him in gold, though not as he had wished, and
I ... my sun-and-stars made a queen of me, but if he had been a different man, it might have been much otherwise. Do you think I have forgotten how it felt to be afraid?” (ASOS Daenerys II)
Key examples of Daenerys's mindset and actions as queen that reflect her past experiences
Death followed death. Weak children, wrinkled old women, the sick and the stupid and the heedless, the cruel land claimed them all. Doreah grew gaunt and hollow-eyed, and her soft golden hair turned brittle as straw.
Dany hungered and thirsted with the rest of them. (ACOK Daenerys I)
~
“I was alone for a long time, Jorah. All alone but for my brother. I was such a small scared thing. Viserys should have protected me, but instead he hurt me and scared me worse. He shouldn’t have done that. He wasn’t just my brother, he was my king. Why do the gods make kings and queens, if not to protect the ones who can’t protect themselves?”
“Some kings make themselves. Robert did.”
“He was no true king,” Dany said scornfully. “He did no justice. Justice ... that’s what kings are for.” (ASOS Daenerys III)
~
Dany set great store by Ser Jorah’s counsel, but to leave Meereen untouched was more than she could stomach. She could not forget the children on their posts, the birds tearing at their entrails, their skinny arms pointing up the coast road. “Ser Jorah, you say we have no food left. If I march west, how can I feed my freedmen?”
“You can’t. I am sorry, Khaleesi. They must feed themselves or starve. Many and more will die along the march, yes. That will be hard, but there is no way to save them. We need to put this scorched earth well behind us.”
Dany had left a trail of corpses behind her when she crossed the red waste. It was a sight she never meant to see again. “No,” she said. “I will not march my people off to die.” My children. “There must be some way into this city.” (ASOS Daenerys V)
~
When she looked over one shoulder, there it stood, the afternoon sun blazing off the bronze harpy atop the Great Pyramid. Inside Meereen the slavers would soon be reclining in their fringed tokars to feast on lamb and olives, unborn puppies, honeyed dormice and other such delicacies, whilst outside her children went hungry. A sudden wild anger filled her. I will bring you down, she swore. (ASOS Daenerys V)
~
Her audience chamber was on the level below, an echoing high-ceilinged room with walls of purple marble. It was a chilly place for all its grandeur. There had been a throne there, a fantastic thing of carved and gilded wood in the shape of a savage harpy. She had taken one long look and commanded it be broken up for firewood. “I will not sit in the harpy’s lap,” she told them. Instead she sat upon a simple ebony bench. It served, though she had heard the Meereenese muttering that it did not befit a queen. (ASOS Daenerys VI)
~
Reznak would have summoned another tokar next, but Dany insisted that he call upon a freedman. Thereafter she alternated between the former masters and the former slaves. (ADWD Daenerys I)
~
He was too eloquent for her. Dany had no answer for him, only the raw feeling in her belly. “Slavery is not the same as rain,” she insisted. “I have been rained on and I have been sold. It is not the same. No man wants to be owned.” (ADWD Daenerys III)
~
Her freedmen were represented by the captains of the three companies she had formed—Mollono Yos Dob of the Stalwart Shields, Symon Stripeback of the Free Brothers, Marselen of the Mother’s Men. Reznak mo Reznak hovered at the queen’s elbow, and Strong Belwas stood behind her with his huge arms crossed. Dany would not lack for counsel. (ADWD Daenerys III)
~
When you smashed the slave trade, the blow was felt from Westeros to Asshai. Qarth depends upon its slaves. So too Tolos, New Ghis, Lys, Tyrosh, Volantis … the list is long, my queen.”
Let them come. In me they shall find a sterner foe than Cleon. I would sooner perish fighting than return my children to bondage.” (ADWD Daenerys IV)
~
“Lingering here will never bring it any closer. The sooner we take our leave of this place—”
“I know. I do.” Dany did not know how to make him see. She wanted Westeros as much as he did, but first she must heal Meereen. (ADWD Daenerys IV)
~
Yesterday a wagon had been overturned and two of her soldiers killed, so today the queen had determined that she would bring the food herself. Every one of her advisors had argued fervently against it, from Reznak and the Shavepate to Ser Barristan, but Daenerys would not be moved. “I will not turn away from them,” she said stubbornly. “A queen must know the sufferings of her people.” (ADWD Daenerys VI)
