It's good to know that practice really does make things easier. I can now steadily churn out 500+ words in a single sitting, when that used to take me days.
If I keep pecking away at my keyboard diligently I might even finish this longfic before inspiration fizzles!

so the stream was a flop (ill need to solve that problem in the future but that was very weird cuz these settings worked with batdr before and i doubt batdr was easier to stream performance wise) but yall didnt miss out on anything cuz uh
basically in 15 minutes i was done with the part of the. "game". that was. actually kind of looking like one. you know i didn't expect any polish to this, it was free and all. that was the part with gaskette, it was. fine. i did not find it interesting but at least it wasnt what the rest of the game was
but you know what, i get it. finally i get it
they, or maybe just mike, but its released under their company so i will say they,
they hate theorists
they hate dataminers
alright, point taken, i guess
just push away the fans who were the most interested in playing your games, cuz that's smart
it's sad really but oh well have it your way

Just me and my reflections on Shikatema
I've been weirdly hyperfixated recently on Shikamaru and Temari, and so I reflected a lot just to properly dissect the reasons myself because I initially couldn't really understand why I liked them when I was really young, more so as an adult (and as demi/ace) LOL so imma yap
As a demi, I've always struggled with romance themes. I always subtly feel like my circuits are frying when I watch anything romance or I often just plainly feel indifferent. Thankfully I managed to spot a few patterns by spending a lot of time in my head; one of them is that I prefer romance when it's not under the spotlight (idk I noticed I always prefer the side pairs more than the main pairs in any story HAHA) I guess that was one of the categories that Shikatema falls under.
I spent more than a decade watching/reading Naruto and it was enough time for me to have a close affinity with these characters and love them for creating such a huge impact in my childhood without the heavy emotional flairs that Naruto and the rest of characters put upfront. They ultimately became my two favorite characters in the series because I share the same traits and tendencies as them. It also wasn't a surprise that two of my favorite characters ended up together because their relationship was slowly developed and it didn't come off like shocking news.
Unlike the other pairs in Naruto where it seems to have characters fixating on someone or characters overshadowing the other, Shikatema operate on a level playing field. They're each strong leaders and strategists in their own right, both competent enough to recognize each other's strengths. They don't feel the need to change the other nor prove their worth. They're their own person and it clearly shows early in the series and even as it progresses to Shippuden.
I personally dislike being the center of anyone's attention or constantly feeding someone attention so I gravitate more to people who are deeply more passionate about purpose/duty/service/something more than about me and my presence. Shikatema has that dynamic where their relationship feels more like a partnership than a romance based on dependency. They both have important (political) roles in their own respective villages, and they know their purposes and the weight that they carry very well—which prolly explains why both are self-sufficient, independent, and capable. They both take their duties seriously and you don't see a scene where one craves for the other's attention (it’s funny how actively and arduously they work on their duty while in each other’s presence so you can definitely say they were literally there for (and with) each other as they fulfilled their roles as diplomat escort/advisor and diplomat/royalty)
Another that I value DEEPLY to my core is individuality, and I've always adored how Shikamaru and Temari preserve their individuality while still thriving together. It's one of the main factors why they see each other as equals and why none of them overpowers the other.
Shikamaru, laid-back and often understated, complements Temari’s directness and assertiveness. His relaxed demeanor helps her stay grounded and objective rather than just taunting in combat or in general LMFAO
Meanwhile, Temari, who is confident and comfortable taking charge, gives Shikamaru's abilities more buoyancy—she openly calls out his BS and he welcomes it because he knows how unassuming, and, at times, self-deprecating he can be. He never seeks the spotlight and often downplays his own abilities and it's where Temari's outspokenness fits the bill (this energy is also quite evident in Shikamaru Hiden)
Both characters also challenge gender norms (I'm inclined to believe that their characters' subtle sexism when they were first introduced in the series was part of the writing, there is an active discussion about this somewhere and I genuinely believe it has its purpose) Young Shikamaru yaps about her being too troublesome because she's incessantly outspoken/spunky. Young Temari yaps about him being too emotional because he didn't seem to receive emotional training.
Yet in the long run, Shikamaru's honesty and vulnerability allow Temari to soften up and witness the act of kindness by someone who wears his heart on his sleeve (which was first seen during the Sasuke retrieval arc at the hospital where Shikamaru had an emotional breakdown) and Temari's unwavering strength and energy nudges Shikamaru into action when he might otherwise hesitate (Temari often banters with him to make him commit to his decisions and not spend too much time in his head)
Both characters also have innate leadership. I noticed that one of my main attraction points is leadership (as an act of service girlie) and these two have that strong nature: Shikamaru leads with his introspective nature, while Temari leads with her assertive nature.
It was evident first during the Chunin exams when they were pitted against each other—both read their opponents exceptionally well and they both show a strong sense of battle awareness while keeping their cool and executing their strategies effectively. It's no surprise that Shikamaru was promoted Chunin and Temari was promoted Jonin & Ambassador (it wasn't clear when Temari was promoted, but in the early episodes of Shippuden, she was already a Jonin & Ambassador who frequently visits Konoha) They both learned to grow as leaders who first serve their people before themselves in their respective villages and it stretches further during the war arc where they serve not just people from their respective villages but the entire Alliance.
Both were also Chunin exam proctors, so ain't that great LOL I think it was one of the many factors why I never doubted their parenting (and Shikadai did grew up to be such a fine and disciplined shinobi with a strong moral code) Both did seem to question each other's parenting styles since Temari favors intense training while Shikamaru advocates leisure (which I believe is a great balance) but both parents have fostered Shikadai's agency; allowing him to come up with his own conclusions and decisions based on his critical thinking because both Shikamaru and Temari share the same values in their youth.
In the series, high intensity emotions are almost always present in every relationship but their relationship has a subdued nature—They don't need long stretches of dialogues to understand each other because all they needed was experiences, and a little observation and deduction.
They didn't need to prove their worth to each other (or to anyone honestly) because it's built on deep understanding rather than overt passion. Altho it had a different interpretation in the manga, both characters even agree that marriage is troublesome LOL (but welp)
Last one is that both are strategists. Chess is my sport and puzzles/tactical games that require mental effort has always been my comfort, I guess it's natural for me to gravitate to these two. (I like any strategic characters who also wear their heart on their sleeve)
They also approach strategy differently: Shikamaru’s intellect makes him highly logical and analytical, often relying on foresight to plan for every possible outcome. Temari is a decisive, action-oriented strategist; often has the courage to commit to a decision quickly. She also heavily thinks on the fly to understand an opponent's motive and naturally adapts.
This was again exhibited during the Chunin exams where Shikamaru's strategic skills allowed him to use his environment to his advantage while Temari displayed her adaptability and quick-thinking capabilities to counter Shikamaru's offenses since she's a heavy thinker herself.
Temari may not be as exceptionally creative as Shikamaru but she highly values intel, reason, and logic in order to come up with a counter. This was exactly the reason why her battle with Shikamaru was further stretched; up to the point where Shikamaru exhausted his chakra.
I deeply adore how both characters value planning, precision, and patience in combat while other characters in the story value power, tenacity, and speed. Irl, I value the same set of values as Shikatema in chess/games/puzzles and so I guess it’s no surprise. I get to just admire the intellectual aspect of their relationship where it allows them to not just connect emotionally but also challenge each other mentally in every screen time they had.
Thanks for coming to my yapping thread if you ever made it in the end LOL

EVERY REASON (that i can think of) AS TO WHY TURBO/KING CANDY IS NEURODIVERGENT 💥💥
i would like to make a disclaimer first and foremost about the obvious, being that Turbo/King Candy is heavily implied to have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) and antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). Very often, characters with these disorders are portrayed as villains, and Turbo is no exception to this. There's nothing wrong with antagonistic characters having said disorders, per se, but when the only representation available for people with these conditions are found in characters you're not supposed to root for, it can be really disheartening. i won't be erasing these parts of him because i feel it would be in poor taste to gloss over those core elements of who he is, but plz keep in mind that having any kind of personality disorder doesn't make anyone inherently evil!!!🌞 your ACTIONS make you, not your brain
Also if anyone has any suggestions or other ideas for his neurodiversity, i would love to hear them! please do share!! I LOVE PSYCHOANALYZING CHARACTERS AND HEARING OTHER PEOPLE PSYCHOANALYZE THEM !!!! YAY🎉 if u agree or disagree with any of my points I'd love to discuss them further :-]
without further ado... click read more to find out…😈 be ready for a lot of reaches
💥 ADHD 💥
STIMMING
Turbo's constantly moving around in some way; he's a very expressive character! even as King Candy, he can't seem to conceal his frequent giggling. it's a big habit of his; he seems to do it involuntarily to regulate himself, including when he's nervous or uncomfortable.
he seems to display other repetitive behaviors as well, like doing his iconic thumbs-up pose, sticking out his tongue, or hopping around gleefully. he is but a jovial court jester..
i personally like to think that his phrases, "Turbo-tastic!" and "Have some candy!" are vocal stims of his, although i equally really love the interpretation that these (and the aforementioned stims) are tics :-]
another headcanon; i think it would make a lot of sense for him to have an oral fixation of some sort (ignoring the whole sigmund freud part of the term ermm...); just lots of biting, chewing, needing to have something in his mouth. It would align with the whole idea that he smokes, too
HYPERACTIVITY
we can clearly see throughout the film that Turbo has a lot of energy, made abundantly clear by his mannerisms and general behavior. he's constantly moving, using exaggerated expressions and gestures to communicate + express himself. He's one of the most animated and bouncy characters in the movie, next to Vanellope! it's silly how a character not very grounded in reality is such a threat, but i suppose that's what makes him so threatening in the first place...
another factor in this is how he is very adrenaline-seeking, craving activities that give him a rush (sugar rush...😂😂). more on that in a bit!!
HYPERFIXATION
Turbo's fixation with winning is all-consuming for him; it's an obsession. he doesn't appear to care about much else, if anything besides it. this could be interpreted as a hyperfixation for him (or special interest if ur all about that autism lifestyle), as it overtakes all of his focus and impedes every process of his mind.
it's clear that racing is much more than a passion for him, and while that fact is due to how he was programmed, it's a major character trait of his regardless that could be correlated to neurodivergence.
HYPERFOCUS
There seems to be a big theme of "all or nothing" when it comes to Turbo. he will either be fully dedicated to something or brush it aside without a second thought. it can't be denied that he fully wraps himself up in what he wants, whether it's a conflict he can't let go of or a new pursuit he's hungrily chasing after.
ultimately, his dedication varies depending on if it is relevant to him and his interests or not, but this aspect of him still shares patterns with neurodivergent thought processes.
INSTANT GRATIFICATION
Seeing as he has a tendency to cheat in his use of code to spawn in whatever his heart desires, it can be assumed that this could do with Turbo wanting instant gratification to fill that bitter, empty void inside of him. while this could simply be brushed aside as greed and his belief that he is obligated to have access to whatever he wants, this trait is consistent with his generally dopamine-seeking behavior and wanting to be instantly rewarded by his actions. His obsession with needing to feel good directly relates to his need for another buzz, constantly after the next rush. (a sugar rush if you will☺☺☺)
ADRENALINE-SEEKING
Closely related to the previous speculation, Turbo always seems to be chasing his next high. he loves the thrill of action and being surrounded by crowds of people below him. it's why his big thing is racing! people cheer him on, he can do whatever he wants, he can go really fast and look cool..
it's possible that a big aspect of why he does this is to distract himself from any kind of pain, because pain = vulnerability. bro does NOT know how to independently cope with his own problems.. HE MAD AS HELLLLL!!! 😂😂
STRUGGLE WITH SELF CARE
(i know this is reaching but bear with me... 🐻) going off of his appearance and tendency to make poor decisions, it can be gathered that this man lacks skill in the self care department. his yellowing teeth and sunken eyes not only serve to complement his design, but also give way to the idea that he neglects himself in favor for whatever weird scheme he's up to.
of course, Turbo does prioritize himself above everyone else, but he doesn't strike me as the type to care much about how others think he smells. him being a bother to anyone isn't a concern of his. he cares about whatever gets him the most praise and attention from as many people as possible, which is winning and racing. Who cares about how clean he is when he's up on a podium holding a shiny, golden trophy, anyway?
It's likely that he had to step his game up when he went under disguise as king candy, which is why he looks well-groomed in comparison to his more corpse-like appearance. Ugly hoe. it can also be assumed that he's had more time to focus on himself because everyone loves him without question... Well, except for Vanellope, but who cares about her, right?
also, i know he makes a condescending comment to Ralph about how bad his breath smells, but it's made abundantly clear that Turbo is a massive hypocrite. his comment doesn't erase the possibility that he has suffered from such "halitosis" as well.
💥 ANXIETY 💥
GENERAL ANXIOUS BEHAVIOR
i know, i know, this could technically be chalked up to be "Turbo is nervously giggling and shit because he's scared of getting caught," but guys. g
even in the flashback scene, we can see how easily stressed he can become in an alarmingly short period of time. he is extremely insecure, therefore i am led to believe he is not only emotionally dysregulated, but also by extension, anxiety ridden.
yes, this is purely speculative, but who's to say that he wasn't like this before? being high-strung and intense are significant facets of his personality consistently portrayed throughout the film. as long as he is getting exactly what he wants, he is happy; the moment he loses even a blip of control, however, he immediately grows extremely tense.
if Turbo wasn't anxious about his disguise as King Candy before, he was anxious about how much attention he was receiving on a given day. if not that, then he'd be anxious over how he presents himself. He hates how he can't control how other people perceive him, which is why he is constantly trying to act like he's better than he is.
its why he justifies his behavior to himself, proudly making others refer to him as the "rightful ruler" of sugar rush and relishing in the attention of his countless underlings. Any secure and stable person would NOT ACT LIKE THIS!!!!😭😭😭
FIGHT OR FLIGHT
As we can see a handful of times on screen, Turbo's instinct to protect himself is very easily activated.
his fear manifests in anger and aggression. we can see at multiple points how easy it is to upset him or fluster him; his anger is one side of the same coin, the opposite end being his fear and paranoia.
Going off of this point, have you noticed that Turbo is either satisfied or furious without much of an in-between? how the second something isn't under his manipulation, he lashes out and fights back? I'm led to believe that this is how he responds to fear (AAUAAYAUUUUGGHHH 🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡). This guy is so against the idea of being vulnerable, that even when afraid, he will utilize violence to regain his dominance over the situation at hand.
CONTROL + PARANOIA
Turbo's always trying to writhe or fight his way out of uncomfortable situations, unable to exist outside of his comfort zone for seconds at a time.
his defensive, paranoid, and controlling behavior are all reflections of how deeply insecure this man is. He feels such an intense need for everything to go exactly how he expects it to go that the moment he senses any kind of threat, he instantly jumps to defend himself and what he feels that he has "earned," regardless of whether there truly is a threat or not.
this could potentially be a coping mechanism for his anxiety and sense of stability; can't forget to mention how territorial he is!! he jumps to conclusions about what others' intentions are before they even get a chance to reply, as seen with his first encounter with Ralph in the movie.
the racer is so internally discombobulated that he seeks any sense of stability on his environment, including on those around him. his sense of self is so warped that he copes with constant distraction; being under the spotlight, being actively racing, having to be showered with attention, having others make him feel good because he doesn't know how to do it for himself. he needs to feel like everything is under control, lest everything falls apart.
"...if there's ONE thing I can't abide, it's ANYTHING out of order!"
💥 NPD 💥
INFLATED SENSE OF SELF IMPORTANCE
Turbo's most in-your-face trait above all else. It's made more than crystal clear in every scene he's in that his arrogance is a determining factor in how he interacts with others. This is exactly what drives him to desperately crave admiration, to chase after others he's envious of because he thinks he is obligated to take what they have.
he seems to genuinely think he is entitled to get whatever he wants, just because he is inherently "special" or "better" than everyone else. Why else would he have made himself a king, a step above princess?
EXCESSIVE NEED FOR ADMIRATION
Turbo's self worth is COMPLETELY dependent on the opinions of children and teenagers. I think i don't need to say any more than that, but i will. (Evil).
As cartoonishly massive as his ego is, i think that it's fair to assume that Turbo has a very unstable sense of self, distorting his perception of his own worth down with it. his near-constant flaunting and need to be the best is a dead giveaway to his deeply-ridden self-doubt. The foundation of his stability is built around how "good" he is (at racing and winning), how powerful he is, whether or not he is being prioritized above everyone else, whether or not he is the absolute best, etc. etc.
The racer outright manipulates others to shower him with admiration and undeserved appreciation. He is incapable of forming a true sense of internal value, instead heavily and codependently relying on others to form it for him. if he isn't the best, he may as well just be nothing.
INTENSE JEALOUSY
He reacts so severely to what he perceives as others taking away what is rightfully his that it only goes to solidify my previous points even further. the second someone else is getting more attention than him, Turbo will bend over backwards to rip back the praise he believes he so rightly deserves.
being extremely competitive, he will one-up against anyone he thinks of as a threat, dedicating himself to taking them down to the best of his ability, and making sure they STAY down to top it all off.
INABILITY TO HANDLE CRITICISM
if we really dissect the entire one-off joke with Turbo insisting that his stolen pink castle is actually "salmon," along with all of his other domineering behaviors, we can garner that he is very persistent in how he wants others to view him. i wholeheartedly believe that this would translate into him not only being defensive over his supposed "ownership" of Sugar Rush, but also over himself and his own insecurities.
He needs to feel good about himself or else he will die and quite literally try to kill everyone.
LACK OF EMPATHY
He appears to have a fondness for making jokes in very poor taste. Turbo has a big sense of humor, but it's always at the expense of others. Be it a pun about a "fungeon," or jumping to protect himself with a joke about "hitting a guy with glasses," he has a tendency to take serious situations very lightly. It's not that he's unaware of the weight of it; he simply doesn't take it Seriously.
its admittedly impressive how he was able to feign empathy so well for Ralph; it goes to show how he is very capable of understanding that what he's doing is wrong, but ultimately does nothing to change his behavior because it doesn't impact him personally.
i would like to honor this part of him, because even in the possible alternate path of a redemption arc, his struggle with empathy can be explored in a variety of interesting ways :-] he can understand complicated emotions and situations on an analytical level, but he doesn't feel for them unless it has to do with him specifically. (this obviously doesn't make him inherently evil, his ACTIONS make him evil)
💥 ASPD 💥
LACK OF REMORSE/GUILT
One of Turbo's core characteristics is just how far he is willing to go for his own self-interest with lack of regard for how it impacts everyone else. he has absolutely no concern for how anyone else feels besides himself, willing to go so far as to attempt to mutilate a 9-year-old to achieve his petty goals.
Turbo is shameless when it comes to how he goes about getting his way. While I'd like to believe he isn't fully incapable of feeling regret, he doesn't showcase feeling it in the movie itself. The most regret he'll feel is when he slips up and exposes himself. anything else is the fault of everyone else; he is untouchable in his eyes.
DECEITFUL TENDENCIES + LYING
Where do i even start with this one.
well, first of all, let's acknowledge the... erm, horse? in the room? 🐎😅(Please someone help me there is a horse in my room help helphel) being that Turbo went under disguise as King Candy for at least a decade. Even before this, there's a good chance that he's already had plenty of experience with lies and manipulation. i'd be willing to bet on this!!
one of his specialties is being proficient in manipulation, be it the code of games or the minds of people. theyre basically the same thing to him, anyway... I'm sure you all know the scene where he uses 16 manipulation tactics against Ralph and wins. this was Obviously not the first time he'd done this.
REPETITION OF HARMFUL BEHAVIORS
Time and time again, Turbo can't seem to help himself when it comes to poor decision-making. he never internalizes that his bad choices aren't JUST bad for others, but also for himself, continuing to escalate further and further into very dangerous behaviors until he literally dies.
Here's a list of bad decisions he has made! (at least, that we know of)
Pinning himself above his peers
Harassment + stalking
Carelessly charging through GCS with his car, endangering countless civilians
Attempting to take over a game that isn't his x2
Vehicular manslaughter
Implied mass murder + attempted murder, attempted mutilation
Mass endangerment
Breaking and entering, theft, usurpation, plagiarism
and more!!!!!!!
AND HE LEARNS FROM ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THIS!!! with some of the items listed here, he's attempted to do multiple times! Absolute buffoon.
RECKLESS DISREGARD FOR SAFETY OF SELF AND OTHERS
Considering how he was willing to charge into a game that wasn't his own with the awareness that it could permanently kill him, going as far as to recklessly crash into another car (albeit it's possible this was unintentional), it's easy to gather that he doesn't seem to consider anyone's safety at all in the spur of the moment.
IMPULSITIVITY
his impulsivity and disregard for safety both go hand-in-hand. When it gets to a certain point, Turbo's emotions will boil over and blow up in a cold rage, thus causing him to spiral and act on impulse, becoming a detrimental force to himself as well as everyone around him.
What's interesting is how much restraint he is capable of; he typically is very strategic in how he orchestrates his plans! but once he reaches his breaking point, he snaps and leaves all of his hard work behind in favor of something that calls for his immediate attention.
💥 ETC. 💥
extra tidbits i didnt have enough energy to fully delve into :-]
BPD
Fear of abandonment
Blurry sense of identity
Feelings of emptiness
Self destructive tendencies
Emotional instability
Explosive anger
ODD (oppositional defiant disorder)
He seems so infatuated with his own autonomy that he gets to the point of being resistant and defiant
Resisting against the rules of the world that he directly caused as a result of his own actions, being that one shouldn't "go Turbo."
Enjoys upsetting/getting a rise out of others. this is more speculative as i am going off of the assumption that he thinks pissing people off is funny, based on his other behavioral patterns. (cruel sense of humor, wanting to feel above others via control & manipulation, enjoyment of inflicting pain onto others)
Forcefully defends himself and refuses any kind of criticism
Lashes out when he feels slighted
Excessive persistence despite all odds, whether it's beneficial to him or not
ok bye!! thank you if you managed to read this far ^^ peace and love take care of yourself! all in all turbo is so neurodivergent ok please Okay <3 get this thing his meds

have you ever hyperfixated heavily on any media? if so what? if you don’t mind sharing.
or like just in general, what kind of media do you like to engage with?
(whistles) I fixate on most media I enjoy, to be frank. Here are a few of my top favorites or category 5 historical autism moments:
The Stanley Parable (HUGE writing inspiration too)
Pokémon, and by extension creature design and creature collecting, is a 15 year ongoing special interest of mine
Clearly I've fixated on Warriors, and just about any other animal fiction series, but I no joke had/have a special interest in MAPs since I was perhaps 13 .. ?
The game World of Goo
Several fiction and DND podcasts
Hunter x Hunter and Death Note both had me in a chokehold for several years, in addition to MP100
Adventure Time is a huge one
Undertale / Deltarune, because like every other 2000s kid it exploded my psyche
FNAF ...
Minecraft
Psychological horror movies like The Lighthouse
Ghibli movies
This is a grossly reductive list, because I try and engage with as much media as possible at any given time. My range is vast, as I am always broadening my horizons to better refine my sensibilities and learn new things about the storytelling arts, but my subjective preferences often come back to silly ass cartoons, furry media, 2000s novelty nostalgia, or surrealist pieces. I'm overall pretty picky and also cringe as hell. I am not cool. But of course my interests do not start and end with media engagement.
Everyone else reply with media that has altered your life, if you so desire!

So, you know this awkward moment when your hyperfixation ends and you realize that media was kinda actually bad? For me it was season 2 of Arcane.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love this show, it gave me an unforgettable emotions and, like, one of the longest hyper-fixations. But now, when I look back, it's just... so weird.
Season 2 sucked and it needs to be pointed out. If the first season was as close to reality as possible, giving us relatable characters in a kind of unreal world where you could understand everyone, even if they were a terrible drug lord, the second season gave us Marvel-esque reunion of every single character fighting one big evil with “friendship is magic” kind of end. They also added so much of unnecessary stuff??
-the prison caitvi sex
- episode 7
-black rose stuff without adding proper explanation
- Zaun trio backstory (which is once again just makes their timeline and episode 3 of s1 even more weird.)
Etc. etc. all of it was clearly a fan service, I’m sorry. Like, I did liked all of it, but if you gave me the choice between having all of em couple reunions and actually good written and placed season at the same level as the first one? My choice will be clear.
Season 1 was weaved and paced very well with its plot and characters. In season 2, they turn most characters into complete idiots for the sake of sprinting through the plot. The plot itself is paced in what can probably be described as “wonky” at best. It’s not good. There are far too many plot holes that just aren’t addressed. They completely forgot about the actual plot of the story (Zaun/Pilties conflict) and apparently made it just angst part for caitvi??? Don’t even get me started on how fucked up Vi was in this season. Like you made her a fighter whose whole world now is around her girlfriend and/or sister happiness and then, when one of them going to end herself she just makes out in a prison cell??? Like in the place where she supposed to have some kind of ptsd and where her sister was literally a hour ago? They made her enforcer like in game but never actually gave us how she came to it.
Viktor? Lmao now he’s a Jesus. Like for what you changed the perfect concept of actual machine herald?
Same with Jinx. She was so inconsistent this season. Here’s she depressed, oh here she’s manic again, hey, look, here’s a child who somehow gonna make her as sane as she could be, we gonna kill her of course and never mention her again AT ALL. As a psychology student, no child in the word could possibly made season 1 Jinx or Jinx at all sane. Even in depression state. Isha was so clearly made to be a plot device it’s actually hurts.
They also got a little too indulgent with the music videos this time as well. Zaun revolution? Jinx trying to off herself and literally burning last drop down? They could make it so deep of an episode but here we are again with the mv. Every plot important line was given just as a music video. Was fun the first two times, now give me actual conversations please.
The ending? Did I mention marvel already? Also the (not)killing off Jinx was such a stupid decision. Warwick can heal himself, they know it clearly but apparently Jinx just need to sacrifice herself and then Vander just gone at all lmao.
It's not just the pacing and the amount of new plots that make season 2 bad. It was confirmed that a lot of the writers from season 1 didn't work on season 2 and it shows. And you know what? I can tell.

gojo satoru believes that all good things come in twos.
he was the second half of his best friend, after all— part of a wandering soul somewhere else in japan spouting some bullshit about retribution. he hasn't quite been the same since 2009.
it wasn't always this way. never before had he been so endeared, so enchanted by the prospect of keeping things together just for the sake of it.
he remembers clearly the day this hyperfixation started, actually: a warm summer sunday in sagae with you dragging him along through the local fruit market. you picked out a bag of cherries, holding up a twin pair of them and dangling them in his face.
"they're sweeter here," you told him with such a fascinated expression, completely enamoured by the ruby jewels held between your fingers. and he savoured that moment, as mundane as it was, because your eyes were shining in adoration at such a perfect pair of cherries.
(also, when you ate them your lips stained a pretty shade of red that made him salivate.)
he realized that things felt more whole in pairs: two hands cupping his face, two charms dangling from your neck, two cherries infinitely sweeter than one. two hearts, two souls, two people who both belong and don't belong in such a wicked world cradling each other with a shared breath.
gojo felt lonely without another— in the time between geto's defection and your reunion, he missed the feeling of being the other half of a duo. nanami buried himself into work. shoko fared no better. he was utterly, shamefully alone.
he was a new person when you returned to him. a lot of things had changed. but despite the distance and the slow untwining of your lives over the years, you knew gojo to be stubborn more than anything.
"two dogs are better than one," he argued when megumi was first learning how to control his cursed technique.
"he's just a kid. making him responsible for one, let alone two, is crazy!"
"i'm telling you, megumi is no pushover! you'll see."
he was right. sometimes (and only sometimes) he does know better. two was better than one.
you could see it in megumi's face when both dogs pounced on him, licking him and wagging their tails. in fact, it was probably the first time you'd ever seen the kid smile at all.
so you went along with gojo, indulged him whenever he reached for two things instead of one: two boxes of juice from the convenience store fridge, two fingers locked together while you walk, two earbuds split between you so you can sing together. two hearts, two souls, two blue eyes fluttering shut when he leans in to kiss you.
when he asked you to move in with him, you weren't surprised in the least. you were also not surprised to see how he set things up around the house, nothing lonely and everything in a pair. gojo feels like you think he's insane. he might be.
being with you made him feel as normal as gojo satoru could ever feel in this life— breathing no longer hurt like water filling his lungs. it was as natural as you basking in the rising sun every morning. living didn't need to be justified anymore. he wasn't obligated to be the strongest. he just needed to exist in your warmth.
things make sense in twos. the world is less gloomy with you by his side.
it's unspoken between you, but you oblige to his strange fixation anyways: two slices of peanut butter on toast in the morning, two stars atop a christmas tree, two picture frames on every side table. two hearts, two souls, two people being each other's reason to keep pushing.
he thinks he loves you a foolish amount. knows he shouldn't be putting all his eggs into one basket. he might be untouchable, but you aren't.
it's inevitable. one day, gojo satoru will be alone again.
and it's a fair exchange for power; a curse he wishes he was never born with. if he had the choice, he would have picked you over limitless power without a moment's pause.
he doesn't have the choice. unlucky.
all he can really do is let you cup his face. feed him cherries. argue over how to raise megumi and tsumiki and live in your little fantasy of pretending to be a family. all he can do is cherish the time you have left together, regardless of how long. all he can do is hope you'll say yes.
two hearts, two souls, two matching rings (one white, one black; he was poetic that way). one meant for him, and the other meant for you— a promise to keep and to break.
he doesn’t care. you and him make the best pair he can think of, no matter how fleeting.

KINKTOBER MASTERLIST
You lay in Steve’s bed, nothing but your bra and panties on and him in his boxers. Both your hands were wandering across each other’s body, touching soft skin, dancing across moles and freckles. You kissed each other lazily, lips melding and tongues sliding against one another.
It was one of those make out sessions that started as nothing, but once you started taking each other’s clothes off you found yourself getting hot under the collar. Your fingers began to grip, your kisses began to feel like something more.
But when Steve pulled away from you, hushing your complaints with a chuckle, he reached for something that was stashed under the bed.
“I went shopping today,” he told you, “got you a little something.”
He pulled out a little black paper bag, with no writing or pictures on and you immediately knew where he’d spent his afternoon. In that one store across town, the one that’s down a side street, the one nobody talks about but everyone knows where it is and what kind of business it is.
You nodded in anticipation, wondering what it could be. You liked what you liked in the bedroom but you were always down to try something new, especially if it was Steve’s idea. There wasn’t much in the bag, just a small white box and a bottle of scented lubricant.
The bottle specifically had you raising your eyebrows, wondering what on earth he could have bought. It was clearly something Steve was excited about, the smirk on his face clear.
“I thought we could use this tonight?” He asked, opening up the little white box and pulling a shiny silver plug from the plastic wrapper, a big pink gem in the shape of a heart attached to the end of it, “I just— I think it would look so fuckin’ hot in you.”
You felt your cheeks heat up at his proposition, your eyes wide, caught like a deer in headlights. You thought about it, the thought of your hole being filled up all pretty whilst Steve fucked you senseless did have you clenching your thighs together.
So you agreed.
Steve had you lay on your front, knees bent keeping your ass in the air for him. He’d worked you enough to where you felt comfortable, starting with his tongue, delicately licking over your hole and finishing with his fingers aided with the strawberry scented lube.
“It’s gonna be cold, baby,” he stated, dousing the shiny plug with more of the gel, “you ready?” Steve asked quietly. His large palm soothing over your hip, squeezing you reassuringly. You nodded.
Steve sat back on his heels as he breathed in through his mouth, exhaling the same way accompanied with a groan. The boy stroked at the flesh of your ass as they made their way down to your thighs, finishing off with a gentle squeeze.
“Wish you could see yourself, pretty girl,” he breathed out, tongue darting out to wet his lips as Steve wrapped his fingers around his cock now, tugging and stroking slowly and torturous.
You glanced over your shoulder at the boy, who’s gaze was totally fixated on where the little pink gem twinkled in the dim light of his bedroom. Steve was no different when he actually got to sink his cock into you, your wet walls clenching around him as you both moaned out.
He held your hips firmly, making sure your legs stayed as spread as possible. His hips snapping against yours in a deep and hard rhythm, your slick coating Steve’s cock.
“Fuck, baby,” Steve moaned, “you feel so fuckin’ good,” his thumb coming to graze over the pink jewel, “you like feeling full up whilst I fuck your pussy, hm? Does it feel good? Tell me, fuck.”
You whimpered loudly, lest it be muffled by the pillow, “Yes, fuck!” you whined, the noise coming out strangled, “Feels so good, Steve.”
“Good girl,” he cooed, hands soothing over the small of your back, your skin hot with pleasure, “taking it so well.”
Steve picked up the pace, his fingers firmly at your hips now, the tips digging in leaving pretty violet bruises for the morning. His head was thrown back, jaw slack and mouth hanging agape as his moans and groans turned into whines and whimpers. He was a fucking picture.
You cried out as Steve began to hit that sweet spot deep inside, your fingers reaching beneath you to stroke at your clit. The bud throbbing beneath your fingertips, edging yourself closer and closer to your climax.
“Such a pretty little thing,” Steve murmurs, more to himself than you you’re sure, the pads of his fingers once again skirting over the plug, “so fuckin’ warm and tight I bet.”
Your eyes rolled back at his words, the sound of skin slapping against skin the only thing you could concentrate on, “Oh, Steve,” you moaned. It was loud, obscene, pornographic, almost.
Steve felt the beginnings of your orgasm as you clenched around his cock, your sopping cunt hugging his length. The speed of his thrusts increased, his hips moving like lightning against you as his skin shone with sweat.
“Go on, baby,” he whined, all high pitched and breathy, “cum all over my cock, that’s it, let it all go.”
You didn’t need telling twice, the sweet release overcoming your fucked out body. You cried out in pleasure, white hot heat coursing through your body as your legs shook, your knees buckling if it wasn’t for Steve’s strong hands holding you up.
He wasn’t far behind you, cum thick and creamy painting your insides. “Fuck,” Steve moaned, eyes squeezed shut as his thrusts became sloppy, “take it, take it.” He chanted over and over again.
You were both spent as you collapsed into one another atop the sheets, bodies clammy and chests heaving as you tried to catch your breaths.
Money well spent, Steve thought.

the day has finally come when i tell yall about my current hyperfixation with majima as an intertextual character. the rant is gonna be quite long so better prepare yourselves
it all started with my uni lecture about cinematography and my teacher telling us something about Wild at Heart. the moment i saw nick cage as sailor the chemistry in my brain changed forever. THEN i found out about The Fugitive Kind aka the very first movie where snakeskin jacket makes appareance as the symbol of freedom. watching both of these movies and connecting all the dots made me loose my mind BECAUSE
my fixation with majima and the way he is portrayed was (so far) mostly centered around his psychology and looking at him as a person. the fact that his design is a tribute to a thing going on in cinematography for +60 years made me look at him clearly as a character, not a potential human being. and when i tell you it goes so deep!! because we can look at it from two very different perspectives: the creators of RGG and majima himself.
the story of snakeskin jacket characters always have certain points that turns them into a topos (a repetitive motive used in different artworks) and not fully independent characters. because all of their stories respond to one another. freedom, violence, the cage/leash thing, important role of a woman, the list could go on. and even if the characters have different personalities, even if the stories are made in very different styles we see the exact same motive created with different tools. and the story of majima fits perfectly into the crossing points of these stories. in y0 we learn about the reasoning behind his fixation with freedom, about the mental prison, about the twisted fetishization he meets from his oppresors ends (the way everyone sees him as a tool/pawn, the way his worth depends on his obedience etc.). it all is a massive buildup for the scene when we see him wearing the jacket for the first time. it mightve been the creators decision to use the same symbol used by Lumet and Lynch as a tribute to their work, as taking the snakeskin jacket further than cinematography and western culture and making it just as iconic and symbolic in their very own vision.
but majimas case is what makes it all so much more special. because we all know the ongoing dehumanization and his need to put on an act, never letting others see his true self. here i am pointing out that the snakeskin jacket mightve been a concious choice of majima as another act for dehumanization, just as much as it was a choice of the RGG creators. turning himself not only into mixture of figures/people that had great influence on him but also styling his visual to imitate fictional characters who are embodient of certain values might be the opposite of real independence symbolised by the snakeskin jacket. and yes i know, i know that Wild at Heart is from 1990 but in yakuzaverse i truly beilieve some David Lynx exists the same way Stephen Spinning does and he mightve as well make Wild at Heart two years earlier.
just. something. something about majima using symbol of independence and freedom as another illusion, as another role and not who he really is. something about snakeskin jacket symbol being another label he puts on himself so people know what to expect even if its not true.
anyways rant about this thing gave me an A for my uni so i guess nerdism at its finest also i truly recommend both of the movies (The Fugitive Kind 1960, Wild at Heart 1990). theyre very different (and specific) but very important in understanding the whole snakeskin jacket thing and its roots

#sorry for any language mistakes im not thinking very clearly lol#majima took me to nerdism levels i wouldnt go with a gun#majima goro proving once again hes my beloved muse#majima goro#yakuza#rgg

How would the collector react with a very Neuodivergent m!reader who has a hyperfixation on things like barbed wire, eye, scorpions and centipedes (totally not projecting or anything) but anyways, after a few months Asa had kidnapped him he's picking up all of the curious looks and sudden happy moods at seeing certain parts of the hotel.
Asa Emory x Neurodivergent!M!Reader with a fixation on centipedes, scorpions and barbed wire
Hi thanks for the request! What’s the point in fanfiction if not projecting onto your fav characters? Hope u enjoy this!
Requests are open!
Asa was beginning to think something was different about you, something separating you from the other hoards of hopeless fodder projects in the basement. You’ve quickly become Asa’s favourite for reasons he can’t really place.
You tend to keep to yourself most of the time whether this is out of fear or general boredom he has no idea, only jumping in when a subject you care about is raised. Once you start it’s hard to get you to stop, not that Asa minds, it can get lonely in this dilapidated hotel in the middle of butt fuck nowhere, even for antisocial people like himself. So it’s nice to keep someone around to fill the silence.
He’s realised by now the younger man in his possession seems to light up when certain subjects are spoken about, it’s happened so many times in the same kind of environment that he’s been trying to dwindle down the variables to pin the behaviour down. Asa loves to dissect people hypothetically and physically so this is just the icing on the top for him.
“Come on pup, we’re seeing over the specimens today.”
Asa tugs the lead connected to your collar harder than necessary just to watch you stumble and try keep up behind him on all fours, being the merciful master he is, he’s provided you with knee pads as not to mark your pretty skin. How kind. Unseen on the other side of you a dumb sweet smile graces your owners lips, loving the way you gasp for air.
Asa knew the mention of the specimen room would have you excited, pace quickening on the other end of the lead as suddenly unable to wait. This he already had figured out, you love bugs and invertebrates, doesn’t matter what kind, however some clearly stood higher in the hierarchy in your brain.
Holding the dense metal door open for you to crawl through, you both enter into the dim room, the lights from the tanks and vivariums providing a warm and cozy atmosphere. Instantly perking up you come to a stop Infront of the masked man, moving to sit on your knees.
“Can I check the centipedes and scorpions please? I’ll do such a good job sir I promise!”
You beg, practically vibrating from your spot on the ground.
“Calm down pup, of course you can, just be careful and if you’re unsure of anything ask for my help, understood?” Your sir asks, holding your chin between his fingers, tilting your head up to look at him.
“U-understood! Thank you thank you!”
———————————————————
Outside time was important for your health and important to Asa’s schedule, he loathes being made late or doing something in the wrong order, it can ruin his mood for hours.
Usually a walk around the perimeter of the hotel suffices a few times a week, this can be on or off lead, depending on how well you’ve been behaved. Unharnessed time is reserved for good boys who know where they belong.
If you’ve been particularly well behaved recently or seem like you could use a pick me up then Asa will walk you down to the garden-esque area out the back of the hotel. there isn’t anything specifically special about this area, overrun with weeds and over grown plants that are hard to see through, just as broken down as the rest of the building, however the perimeter is lined with barb wire. Just your typical cheap barbed wire to keep pets in and keep pests out.
To you it was more than that, you could wonder the edge of the garden for hours at a time, running your hands along the chainlink and gazing at the twisted patterns.
Sometimes he would ask you about, listening along contently as you ramble about barber wire, hopping from subject to subject as they enter your mind. This is how Asa loves to see you, carefree and expressing your passions out on the makeshift patio, it wasn’t a lot but it keeps you happy. Asa would do anything to keep his boy happy.

i am not immune to blasting my favourite characters with the neurodivergent beam — i think there is something very comforting about a character from a book written long before these things were understood (at least with the vocabulary we have today) articulating things about themselves that you can see something of yourself in
with that in mind, let me take you on a journey where i explain in far more detail than probably necessary
Why Captain Robert Walton from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus (1818) has ADHD (in my non-professional neurodivergent opinion)!
i’ll be going through some common ADHD symptoms and presenting evidence from the text to demonstrate how Walton, in his own representation of himself, can be interpreted as displaying these traits
let's go!!
— INATTENTIVENESS AND FOCUS
Walton has a strong and active imagination, and seems prone to excessive daydreaming and letting his mind wander, even becoming distracted by sensory input (the sublime beauty of nature, lol):
Inspirited by this wind of promise, my daydreams become more fervent and vivid.
He feels that he is set apart by his own manner of thinking, that his mind is in need of "regulation":
Now I am twenty-eight and am in reality more illiterate than many schoolboys of fifteen. It is true that I have thought more and that my daydreams are more extended and magnificent, but they want (as the painters call it) keeping; and I greatly need a friend who would have sense enough not to despise me as romantic, and affection enough for me to endeavour to regulate my mind.
The "keeping" that Shelley refers to is artistic terminology meaning
The maintenance of the proper relation between the representations of nearer and more distant objects in a picture; [...] the maintenance of harmony of composition. (X)
I would interpret Walton's meaning here to be that he understands his thoughts to be somewhat "all over the place" or lacking practicality; he is aware that he has an overzealous and ambitious personality, and requires a sense of harmony (ideally, in the form of an understanding friend) who will keep him focused.
Even Victor comments on Walton seeming to become impatient with him or lose focus during his own tangent:
Victor: But I forget that I am moralizing in the most interesting part of my tale, and your looks remind me to proceed.
(adhd bitches be like let me infodump my entire brain at you and tell you seven unrelated stories before getting to the point but the SECOND someone else goes off topic it's so over)
Walton's inattentiveness is best demonstrated by his lack of concentration on things like his education in favour of his interests when he was a boy:
My education was neglected, yet I was passionately fond of reading. These volumes were my study day and night[...]
and speaking of!
— HYPERFIXATIONS
I feel my heart glow with an enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven, for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose—a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye.
^ me when i will go insane if i don't have my silly little Topics to obsess over. this guy gets it
Walton is clearly influenced heavily by his fixations; polar exploration and his "passionate enthusiasm for the dangerous mysteries of ocean" are lifelong special interests for him. He refers to his voyage as "the favourite dream of my early years", and also developed a love for poetry from a young age:
[...] for the first fourteen years of my life I ran wild on a common and read nothing but our Uncle Thomas’ books of voyages. At that age I became acquainted with the celebrated poets of our own country;
When he is forbidden for pursuing a seafaring life by his father, and in doing so prevented from indulging his main interests, Walton becomes fixated solely on literature, attempting to become a poet himself:
These visions faded when I perused, for the first time, those poets whose effusions entranced my soul and lifted it to heaven. I also became a poet and for one year lived in a paradise of my own creation; I imagined that I also might obtain a niche in the temple where the names of Homer and Shakespeare are consecrated.
Interestingly, when he fails to achieve his literary goal, his attention seemingly switches seamlessly back to his previous interests when he is finally given the opportunity to pursue them - jumping between hyperfixations in search of dopamine is often experienced by many with ADHD:
You are well acquainted with my failure and how heavily I bore the disappointment. But just at that time I inherited the fortune of my cousin, and my thoughts were turned into the channel of their earlier bent.
Walton claims that he is “practically industrious—painstaking, a workman to execute with perseverance and labour” but this mostly seems applicable when he can hyperfocus on tasks that are stimulating to him and related to his interests - for example, when he prepares for his voyage while working on whaling ships:
I often worked harder than the common sailors during the day and devoted my nights to the study of mathematics, the theory of medicine, and those branches of physical science from which a naval adventurer might derive the greatest practical advantage.
— HYPERACTIVITY, IMPULSIVITY AND RESTLESSNESS
i mean. i think most people would consider sailing off to explore as-yet unknown and extremely dangerous parts of the world completely of your own volition impulsive no matter how long you've been planning to do it
Even so, Walton seems to display a reduced sense of danger even upon "the commencement of an enterprise which you [Margaret] have regarded with such evil forebodings":
These are my enticements, and they are sufficient to conquer all fear of danger or death and to induce me to commence this laborious voyage with the joy a child feels when he embarks in a little boat, with his holiday mates, on an expedition of discovery up his native river.
Walton's hyperactivity can be seen in his innate restlessness and never wanting to feel “settled” or too comfortable:
My life might have been passed in ease and luxury, but I preferred glory to every enticement that wealth placed in my path.
His wanderlust drives him forward, literally physically sending him to places very few have ever been:
[...] there is a love for the marvellous, a belief in the marvellous, intertwined in all my projects, which hurries me out of the common pathways of men, even to the wild sea and unvisited regions I am about to explore.
To me, this line indicates that Walton has an awareness of his own overwhelming eagerness (and tbh this is also how I would describe what my own ADHD feels like sometimes):
I am too ardent in execution and too impatient of difficulties.
Walton also seems prone to excessive talking and infodumping, demonstrated even by the act of sending his sister such long and detailed letters in the first place. He is a grade A yapper and that is why we even have the story in the first place!
My favourite evidence of this is when Walton is so taken by the romantic story of his ship's master that he derails his entire letter to his sister to tell her about it, saying:
This, briefly, is his story.
Reader: the story was not brief.
My swelling heart involuntarily pours itself out thus.
you don't say!
— POOR PLANNING AND PRIORITISATION
Despite committing himself to his voyage for six years and having thought of it for much longer, Walton doesn't seem to have uh. much of an actual concrete plan:
I do not intend to sail until the month of June; and when shall I return? Ah, dear sister, how can I answer this question? If I succeed, many, many months, perhaps years, will pass before you and I may meet. If I fail, you will see me again soon, or never.
In relation to this, let me just leave this extract from Jessica Richard's article '“A paradise of my own creation”: Frankenstein and the improbable romance of polar exploration' here:
Shelley subtly indicates Walton’s incompetence as an expedition leader (despite his extensive reading and apprenticeships on Greenland whaling vessels) when she has him begin his journey on a rather late date, July 7th. Whether Walton is simply a poor planner, or, as Frankenstein himself fears, he “share[s] my madness,” a departure date so late in the season all but dooms his enterprise to failure from the outset. (p. 299)
ouch!
He seems to have little awareness of this aspect of his personality; he assures his sister that:
I shall do nothing rashly: you know me sufficiently to confide in my prudence and considerateness whenever the safety of others is committed to my care.
Yet to Victor, he describes:
how gladly I would sacrifice my fortune, my existence, my every hope, to the furtherance of my enterprise. One man’s life or death were but a small price to pay for the acquirement of the knowledge which I sought[...]
Not only does he neglect his duties as captain to care for Victor, even while his ship is imperilled by pack ice…
Thus has a week passed away, while I have listened to the strangest tale that ever imagination formed. My thoughts and every feeling of my soul have been drunk up by the interest for my guest which this tale and his own elevated and gentle manners have created.
… he is highly averse to abandoning his voyage even when his crew threatens mutiny:
We were immured in ice and should probably never escape, but they feared that if, as was possible, the ice should dissipate and a free passage be opened, I should be rash enough to continue my voyage and lead them into fresh dangers, after they might happily have surmounted this. They insisted, therefore, that I should engage with a solemn promise that if the vessel should be freed I would instantly direct my course southwards. This speech troubled me. I had not despaired, nor had I yet conceived the idea of returning if set free.
oh robert........
— EMOTIONAL DYSREGULATION AND SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES
This seems to be a persistent issue for Walton; he continually refers to the fluctuation of his own emotions and his inability to regulate them on his own:
My courage and my resolution is firm; but my hopes fluctuate, and my spirits are often depressed.
I have no friend, Margaret: when I am glowing with the enthusiasm of success, there will be none to participate my joy; if I am assailed by disappointment, no one will endeavour to sustain me in dejection.
He is deeply desirous of understanding and community with others, but is left feeling lonely and like an outsider, having difficulty connecting with most people including the men he sails with:
A youth passed in solitude, my best years spent under your gentle and feminine fosterage, has so refined the groundwork of my character that I cannot overcome an intense distaste to the usual brutality exercised on board ship:
Walton implies that he is insecure of aspects of his personality, and is in need of external validation and someone to “sympathise with and love” him:
How would such a friend repair the faults of your poor brother!
Lastly, this line appears in the 1831 version of the novel only but it is one that, for me, ties together a lot of the book's themes especially with regard to neurodiversity and is generally one of the most affecting for me personally for that reason:
There is something at work in my soul which I do not understand.
me too, buddy. me too
aaaaaaaand that's all(!) i have to say for now
most of this is really just based on my own experiences and traits (am i projecting? absolutely. but am i correct? also yes) and just my own interpretation and i’m sure i’ve left out SO much but i had fun putting my hyperfix spinterest hat on and hopefully it was interesting to read! let me know your thoughts!
#went crazy about this on discord recently but this is the more coherent and in depth version#i think i worked out once that walton’s narrative is something like 15% of the entire novel’s length#and by god i will wring so much out of that 15%#robert walton#frankenstein#walton tag#spreading the good ADHD Walton word 🫡#this stupid idiot means a lot to me can you tell#mary shelley

Spoiler Warning again: Unsure if you finished the game now. I’m going to ask the question you didn’t answer (or at least didn’t see the question)
What if Sada was basically the biggest fangirl over the streamer in Hisui. Then went back in time and joined the streamer.
Ever since her dream of creating a paradise, she’s always been hyperfixated on the stream. By seeing the regional Pokémon, and how beautiful Hisui is. She thinks the world would be a better place if the Hisuian Pokémon were around.
The stream always on, or in the background 24/7. She’s one of the major scientists who is ALWAYS on the stream no matter the hour.
Hell, she even made her robot clone keep track of what’s happening when she’s not monitoring it.
Anyways, she is trying to hook up the Time Machine to start extracting Hisuian Pokémon into Paldea, and accidentally sends herself to the Hisui region.
So imagine Arven not having seen his real Mom in months, only because she was in Hisui living a scientists dream. He already has beef with the stream since his mother payed attention to it more than him.
At least she’s alive, and can talk to Arven. But usually she doesn’t respond to the chats Arven sends. It takes multiple donations to have Sada respond to it, because she’s just so fixated on this paradise and the past then the present.
I’d imagine her seeing how time distortion Pokémon start reeking havoc on the Hisuian ecosystem. That would definitely punch her dreams down, and probably make her focus on getting back to her son to live in the present.
Wait wait wait jfdskljfldk this is such an interesting idea Just imagine like, the chaos.
He fears he may have lost his own mother (or father), and the ai is all that was left. He has no idea if she is alive or not. And as months go by, he starts to lose hope. Until one of his friends looks at their phone weirdly. "Hey, isn't that your mom?" His head snaps over to look at them, and on their phone is your stream, along with Professor Sada. Said professor who is happily at your side taking notes as you battle an Alpha Sneasel
What world is he living in? Why is his mom in the past with the famous time traveling streamer and the train man? The same streamer that was partially why his mother was always distracted?
He ends up making an account if he hasn't already, and donates to you to get Text To Speech, and gives his mother a tongue lashing. All those pent up emotions barreling over after months of worry and stress. If Sada doesn't respond, you eventually end up making her do so.
Clearly someone close to her is hurting. You especially press for it when you learn its her own son.
It's almost funny to see how his mom looks like a pokemon caught in headlights, before looking incredibly guilty. That was the risk with time travel, she had no idea her brief visit would be months on Arven's end.
But she was living every scientists dream!... At the cost of possibly losing everything she had worked for. Losing her son, and everything she had planned, such as a paradise for him.
At least in this universe, she survives, but it's a long (chaotic) process of reuniting her with her son, with you, the silly streamer, caught in the middle.

Some of my favorite hyperfixations are the ones that I’m clearly not in the target age demographic for anymore.
Like- it instills an inherent shame deep within me, but GOD DAMN do I enjoy myself with those fixations.
Love em’. I love enjoying wide ranges of media. :D

#autistic adult#autistic#autism#adhd#some examples include:#uncle samsonite#by#jake bowen#garten of banban#by those two shithead brothers.#Ooo! Ooo! AND-#roblox#games. those go hard. I stg. a lot are really bad and prey on young children for revenue but some of those games#genuinely have so much love time and work put into them#you know?#there are many other examples but those are some pretty good ones that I personally really enjoy :D
