satoru has his phone in one hand while the other is patting your head, occasionally twirling a strand of your hair around his forefinger and thumb. he loves moments like these, when you’re cuddling together in bed, quietly enjoying the serenity that comes with it.

that is, until you interrupt the cozy silence with your random request.

“‘toru,” your voice is soft, yet it carries a tinge of pain and fear in it. your shaky breath doesn’t go unnoticed either. you tilt your head back and cup his face with one hand, to which satoru responds with by nuzzling his cheek against your palm.

“don’t you ever die before i do, ‘kay? promise me.”

a frown quickly finds its way onto his features as he lowers his phone, setting it aside on the bed. that statement sure is an unexpectedly gloomy one.

“aww, baby,” satoru sighs softly, reaching up to cover your hand with his own. he brings it close to his lips to press a kiss against your palm. he is about to make a joke—an attempt to lighten the mood—but catches the tears sparkling in your eyes and decides against it.

“of course i won’t,” is his determined reply. satoru gazes into your eyes with a reassuring smile. “don’t you do the same, yeah? because if you were to leave this earth before me. . .”

the light in his eyes dims just thinking about the possibility. he swallows thickly before responding, his tone serious as he declares his undying love for you;

“. . . i’d follow your soul right into the afterlife.”

Viktor has to sleep in the middle of the bed bc both Mel and Jayce run hot. any combo where he is not in the center has whoever is on the end sweating profusely and the person in the middle has one cold side and one warm side. it’s science.

Mel is the coolest and calmest of their heads, yes, but she is most definitely in on their “yes, and?” dynamic to science and magic. She is all for the chaos, she just wants them to wear protective equipment while doing the chaos.

Jayce designed their shower to be double the size of a normal walk-in. Their tub is pretty much a hot tub. Do with this what you will.

Jayce carries both his partners on his shoulders. He also can do many a set of pushups with both of them on his back. They’ve played chess against each other on Jayce’s back, while also asking for advice on chess moves.

Jayce and Mel have a game called “do not leave Viktor alone with Ambessa”. For everyone’s sake, they have been 100% successful. Jayce gets jealous, and the last thing Mel wants her mom to know is that they do share a taste in types of men. Viktor is unaware of this game. Ambessa is curious of the twink her daughter is hiding from her.

Mel is the first person who gets to see all their prototypes in action. She has also been woken up in the middle of the night when one (usually both) have an idea. She is 100% behind this, though she didn’t appreciate the time Viktor and Jayce woke her up for what ended up being a literal lamp re-design. They spent an hour talking about their genius and innovative light, powered by hextech, just for her to flick their bedside lamp on.

Mel has never laughed so much in her life since meeting and getting with them. She attributes these years as the best ones so far. Jayce and Viktor feel the same.

Viktor is just. Always in meetings now. Chilling out. What are you gonna do? Tell the de facto-head of council Jayce he can’t bring in his partner and tell the richest and also most influential member Mel she can’t bring in her other Boyfriend? Good luck.

He actually does not want to be in these meetings. He's there for moral support and the promises of coffee. Also Mel needs him to occasionally hit Jayce's chair with his cane when the other man starts to fall asleep.

He also sneaks notes to her of drawings and she's been mad (not really) ever since he made her snort really loudly due to his caricature of hoskel and salo. It's framed in their office.

Every goon in Gotham feels bad if they break Nightwing’s nose or knock out one of his teeth. It’s a thing. You fuck up the pretty bird’s face and he’s…fine with it? But it’s not fine. It feels wrong, for some reason. You don’t touch his face.

(Cut to Dick peeling off his domino mask in an alley asking Jason if it’s “broken” and his nose is halfway across one side of his face. Dick seems largely unbothered by this. Jason is seething with rage. Damian is already sprinting down the alley ready to exact revenge on the newbie goon who accidentally went high instead of low on a lucky hit. Dick asks Jason what’s wrong. His nose is so badly broken, there’s blood welling up in his tear ducts. Jason just stares at him, at a loss for words entirely)

very underutilized argo 2 crew & co dynamic:

Piper and Frank (and Thalia and Rachel) are from extremely rich families. Annabeth and Jason are also from extremely rich families but grew up at their respective camps. Percy and Leo grew up in relatively poor families. Reyna and Nico are in weird spots because a.) we aren’t entirely sure what economic status their families had (implied to be on the wealthier side but again, unclear) (and Nico grew up during WWII so, yknow) but regardless of that they both ended up running away while relatively young and Reyna spent two years on a magic island and Nico spent three years homeless living either underground or in the woods, presumably. Hazel’s also in a weird spot cause while we know her mom originally didn’t have a lot of money, after Hazel was born they had literal infinite money, it was just all Very Cursed. They could afford anything it just Literally Killed People. Will Solace we don’t know but his mom is implied to be an at least well-known singer if not outright famous so we can probably presume he’s decently wealthy as well.

the books gave us like absolutely zero acknowledgement of the types of dynamics to arise from this. give me Annabeth lamenting or something about her dad’s plane collection and an ensuing debate about if your parents owning a plane is normal or not. give me Percy physically cringing cause something cost more than 50 bucks. Give me Jason not quite understanding modern mortal currency cause he was raised using denarii. etc etc.

i think ghost has a silent laugh.

soap, talking to ghost over the radio during missions, thinks that ghost can crack whatever jokes without so much as a chuckle and makes it his mission to find a joke funny enough to make him break.

until one mission where they end up in person when soap throws out another joke and gets to witness the way ghost's head falls and his shoulders shake as he chuckles silently at the stupid joke.

soap is absolutely fucking thrilled. THE ghost just laughed at a pun. one of soap's puns no less. it is a brilliant day for science and soap uses his newfound knowledge to its fullest extent, now knowing that every time he goes silent over the radio, ghost is actually laughing at whatever stupid joke was just cracked.

and when soap sees ghost doing it without the mask, sees the little smile he has? ascended. soap is gone. head over heels. other ways of saying he's smitten. you know how it goes.
