#cityspeaker game

Sooooo I’ve been getting into Metroplex lately (pun intended) and the whole concept of titans and cityspeakers is so fucking cool. I decided that was how I’d add Razgriz into Aces of Cybertron, and while this sketch is barely visible I like the idea too much to wait before I post.
Wanna listen to me ramble semi-coherently about the blorbos I spin in my head?
The premise is, Razgriz the demon is a Titan, while Trigger is a cityspeaker who HATES her job. For my version of normal AC7 Trigger, her emblem dog is real and is Razgriz in disguise because she refuses to wield the demon’s power directly. It’s a whole thing and I hope you don’t need to know it to understand, because all of it exists only in my brain. anyway.
Let me explain regular AC lore first. In the games, Razgriz is a force of good and evil, chaos and balance. Whenever history encounters a great change, razgriz appears first as a demon who causes destruction, and then as a hero who restores peace and brings prosperity. These things are metaphorical in the game, the hero being several of the protagonists. It’s a cycle that repeats basically every war. While AC7’s protagonist Trigger isn’t directly linked to the Razgriz, it’s implied by the soundtrack using their motifs. Hence why I prefer to write Triggs as someone who refuses to become one with the Razgriz.
Aces of Cybertron Razgriz speaks to her and wants her to merge with them so she can wield their power and carry out their will. Trigger is reluctant, but the demon in her head DOES end up befriending her in the end, gaining her trust and offering guidance. She even does the merging thing a few times, but only when she really has to. I imagine it more so serves to enhance her own strength rather than have her physically control Razgriz, but maybe both will happen. They are probably constantly in her head anyways. Razgriz in this universe can’t be classified as good or evil, they are simply a force of nature carrying out the cycle of change. That’s what makes them dangerous, they only care about upholding the cycle and not the sheer destruction they cause. You can’t appeal to morals which aren’t there, either. You can, however, bargain and reason with them. They are logical, and will do as you say if you convince them it will achieve their goal better.
Don’t give me spoilers on the comics because I’ve only skimmed them! Razgriz in AC canon does have weird eyeliner similar to Caminus’ in Transformers, and I dunno if in TF that’s only a Caminus thing but I’ve decided to give Raz some as well to stay true to the source. Need to figure out how to translate the shape of a cloak into cybertronian back parts.
I like to think Alicron and the Arsenal Bird (need to find it a TF name) are also titans in this AU. Not as powerful as Raz, but titans nonetheless. Or at least something similar, because Alicron has a whole ass backstory idea. Actually, I’ll tell it.
Alicron himself was once Tanager, sporting a battleship altmode and leading the Aegir fleet. My idea is to make Aegir a pre-existing dead character, and have Tanager’s spark transferred to his lifeless frame to form Alicron. Maybe Aegir was the Titan, and Alicron sorta became him. I have to flesh this whole thing out but I wanted to ramble about it. That is all, if you’ve read this far thank you! And have a good day!

Fanfics Masterpost
C.Y.B.E.R.V.E.R.S.E. series complete stories:
Hand Over The Relationship, Offish Decepticon! : Soundwave survives the fight with Tarn.
Standing Among The Blue: rewrite of a scene from s2 ep13 in which Optimus meets Solus Prime.
Transformers Cyberverse Fanfics Ideas:
Sapphic Shadow Striker/Windblade. Background Hot Rod~Soundwave being supportive.
"Wherever Bumblebee goes on Cybertron, Cheetor, be with him." If Cyberverse doesn't give me Cheetor remembrance, then I will. Maybe even a word from him from within the AllSpark. Featuring Bumblebee & Windblade's friendship post-war. Bee is sad in this one.
Hand Over sequel: Hot Rod and Soundwave accidentally complete the Conjunx Ritus. Shenanigans ensue, including a wedding Shadow Striker and Windblade might steal for themselves.
Transformers EarthSpark Fanfics Ideas:
Brave Educational Experience: or when the Terrans shatter Bumblebee's worldview through a single question. Sequel under consideration.
Shockwave & Wheeljack relationship, but still with their dynamic from in Cyberverse (dancing robots, Shockwave's invention liking Wheeljack (s2 ep10, Secret Science)). Also Wheeljack calls Shockwave out on his racism towards the Terrans/Twitch his daughter. Featuring Fluffy Ears since the show won't give her back to me. Senator Shockwave plotline.
The ones I probably won't write (may you feel free to appropriate this ideas for yourself):
Decepticons meeting up with Autobots at the border after defeating the Quintessons (too vague).
AU fix-it in which Starscream gets better (I just don't know his character enough).
The ones I said I wouldn't write but did in a way or another:
I've read a fic headcanoning Soundwave as a cityspeaker too, which I find interesting but don't think I'll write about it <- "Hand Over The Relationship, Offish Decepticon!" (chapter 5 especially)
--------------------------------------------------
Other stuff I've written unrelated to Transformers medias: ⬇️
And The Sun Snuffed Itself Out So Icarus Could Keep Flying: "In this world, Hawks doesn't lose his wings." MHA, canon-compliant up to the moment Hawks loses his alter to AFO. I've always felt like Endeavor/the Todoroki family owned him one after what Dabi does to him (also why the hell are people shipping Dabi and Hawks together wtf) and that with Endeavor's whole "redemption" thing he would at least try to protect Hawks more?? Maybe it's just me. Might get a sequel or follow up if I can work my mind around some plot. Learned Icare is called Icarus in eng so I edited that.
Triangle Is The Strongest Shape: Monastario/Zorro/Lolita trouple. I know, I've got you, you'll have at least one fic with the three of them (it's silly tho). I honestly don't know how Monastorio's name is canonically spelled.
Oh Little Angel's Family: the one I keep forgetting. Supernatural, it's about family feels among the angels (especially the archangels and Castiel) and isn't canon-compliant in the slightest. I think it diverges from canon at s4. It has an attempt to plot in it, it has. Anyway it's written in french and Michael is called Michel in it.
Not home: an Outer Worlds game character-study(ish) fic about the Captain being an outsider. Do not be fooled by the english title, it's written in french.
Star Wars. I've written many a fic of Star Wars stuff starring the Codywan ship, some in french that haven't been translated since I switched to full english. I've still got unfinished drafts of more fics including them which will probably never be finished because I can't be bothered, and I don't post unfinished drafts (there's one exception to this and I won't elaborate on it).
Ideas of fics that haven't been written (yet):
A Baroness fic. From The Cat Returns Ghibli movie. In which she either gets reunited with Baron or has Toto and other birds travel letters between them.
A Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas time-travel fix-it fic centering on Shion, in which Zeus is actually responsible for the Holy War and the Aries cloth has time powers because of Chronos. Featuring being hunted as a traitor by his fellow Golds, soul wound, and Lady Persephone.
A Kuraerti fic (you know. the one yall keep calling Clerifa like it's a fucking Pokémon.) post-canon, a timeline what timeline, everyobody lives, setting: Gold Saucer. Featuring an Oblivious!Cloud, background Reno/Rude, Zack being around, Rufus and his dog learning to be a Good PersonTM under mentorship from Dio, the most adults members of the group acting like parents and a frustrated Barret.
A Brooklyn Nine-Nine fic in which Kevin's family is actually from the mafia. His parents don't talk to him anymore because he married a cop and the whole Seamus situation gets worse because that's a mafia family kidnapping somedoby from another mafia family. It is unclear if Holt is aware or not.

King Kong X Transformers Prime Crossover, does Team Prime ever meet the Iwi People or the tribe of humans living on the island?
They do actually! One of Iacon's data drives had ended up on Skull Island as an Iwi villager saw it when gathering for herbs. The bots were definitely surprised to discover humans lived in such a dangerous place.
Optimus couldn't help but compare the Iwi to Cityspeakers upon learning about their connection to Kaiju like Kong. Wonder serves as a translator for the group since the Iwi are nonverbal. While the bots went to retrieve the tribe, the kids stayed at the village.
It wasn't hard for the villagers to notice their respective skills and decide to help flourish it. Jack learned about various medicine, Raf got a chance to understand glyphs while Miko had some spear training. Ratchet honestly though the kids would've left the village but instantly ate his words upon seeing the trio relax by the river.
For what was the drive, it contained various mix media on it. Cultures, sports games, interviews with the various archivists, and anything else you find in a local library. It wasn't something that would help them win the war but held a lot of sentimental value.
Another thing which survived Cybertron's destruction and what everything once been.

ok so unlike how the Voight-Kampff test (or a version of it) exist in Cyberpunk 2077, and how i have headcanons of how it works in the world, i have another more insanely self-indulgent headcanon which involves Cityspeak.
in Blade Runner, LA's denizens spawned it's own language called Cityspeak which was a mix of street slangs and various languages like Japanese, Spanish and German to name a few. I think it'd be cool if Night City did the same thing. i dont think anyone knows how it first started and if it was just a natural occurrence from languages getting mixed up and making it's own subculture, or if it had been a conscious effort by people (especially criminals without ICE and other decent netrunning skills) to avoid eavesdropping as Cityspeak with its wide array of vocabularies from various languages would render any snooping ears with an installed normal language translator chip useless.
Just like in Blade Runner, not everyone who lived in the city knows or is completely fluent in Cityspeak: Corpos, i imagine, wouldn't really speak it, since it's considered a lower-class thing, though they probably very much do understand it and just avoid speaking it. Nomads who live and worked around NC might probably understand and speak it to a degree but is sloppy and amateurish. Probably doesn't bother to actually learn the language either, especially for ones who know they'd be back out in the streets to another city. Streetkids on the other hand, is fluent and probably grew up speaking it and hearing it from other lowlifes in the streets. They might try to speak it less in an effort to look like they're a professional, considering the people he meet in-game.

For the character ask game: 10, 18 and 19 for Zenith please :D
10) How they deal with pain
Like a Navy SEAL /hj
No, but seriously—I’ve known people with a remarkably high tolerance for pain,* and Zenith’s going to need it.
*like “normal people scream, but this person physically didn’t feel anything more than a pinch” kind of high. (I’m still envious.)
18) Special talents they have
How do I say this without giving away too many spoilers
In Constellations, Primes aren’t the only ones who can awaken titans, just as Camiens aren’t the only ones who know how to master the ability that later becomes known as cityspeaking ;)
19) When they feel safest
Zenith feels safest when she has the upper hand in any given situation. As she sees it, it’s her against the world, and [almost] everything must be put toward preserving that sense of independence and power.

For your TF fan continuity:
🏆 - What is the end goal? What are your characters fighting for?
💣 - What/who triggers the climax of the plot?
🦋 - Which character has the biggest transformation?
🌑 - Is there reoccurring symbolism? Motifs?
(from this ask game)
Upon inquiry, Novafire specified which part of the continuity this should be about. There are... four... storylines in total, two of which are important, but many of the sub-narratives happen at the same time. Because why make things simple when they can be complicated >:D
The first sentence is
h elp
I'll try to focus on the main part which is essentially every typical TF story ever and the side story featuring OCs that experience the conflict from the sidelines. I hope you don't mind, since the mythology and post-canon action isn't much exciting. They will be referred to by their WIP titles, Entropy and Incandescence, respectively.
🏆 - What is the end goal? What are your characters fighting for?
Entropy:
Picture every typical pre-war story ever and blend them into something that looks like a smoothie - a badly blended smoothie because some fruit parts are floating around and disrupting the drink's consistency. Yeah, that's what it looks like from the outside. But on the inside it doesn't really look any better, haha.
There are many issues that need to be resolved and all of them stem from one big problem. The protagonists go on numerous adventures and solve many a mystery - though ultimately, they need to find the source of all evil and defeat it. Greed is a nasty thing. It will twist the noblest individuals to become their worst self on their rise to power. It will be their downfall - which is why they never stay in power long enough to leave lasting damage, save for the three mecha who have it all and want even more. It is up to the protagonists to stop them and reverse the damage they had done.
Their enemies are:
1) Cybertron's political system - a few rotten fruits can disturb the entire drink and make it unenjoyable. The main trio responsible for the unstable political situation are Sentinel Prime, Senator Proteus and Councillor Zeta - forming a secret, mighty triumvirate. They want power, they have the means to seize it and they will go to great lengths in order to see Cybertron subjected to their whims. Corruption goes a long way and even the repressed masses will be influenced by the triumvirate. 'You are not immune to propaganda' and all that.
2) The authorities - since the army and enforcers are working under their orders, the freedom and safety of the citizens lies in the hands of three individuals who could not care less about them. Even the enforcers themselves aren't exempt from surveillance. Mutual trust is at an all time low and everyone's priority is to live another day. If a mech doesn't conform to society's expectations, they will find a way to change that and those who work for the government are the first in line for behavioral corrections à la memory wipe or a reframe, etc.
3) Cities, or Titans and their speakers - we have the primacy which speaks for Cybertron, the council that decides what is good for Cybertroniankind and the senate which calls the shots in city states. But Titans also exist and their speakers watch over the districts their Titan resides at. However, not all Titans get the funding and resources they need to keep the population afloat. And helpless, impotent inhabitants cannot care for their home, right? It's a downward spiral. Only the most profitable Titans get what they need. Some are deemed as less important than others and this causes a rift between Cityspeakers. This does not end well.
4) Quintessons - Some time after the war is over, a Quintesson colony ship is spotted in Cybertron's orbit. They want their planet back. Elderly Quintessons like Alpha Q are part of the first generation which left Cybertron even before the First Generation roamed the surface, but they - like many other mechanical lifeforms made by the Primes - were sent to space to explore the cosmos and find a new home somewhere else. Millions of years later, the Quintessons have returned it is up to the protagonists and Alpha Q to find a solution for this problem. Preferably before the Quintessons reassemble Luna I and Luna II into Unicron and pilot him to wipe out Cybertroniankind. Don't worry, they will find a compromise.
5) In the end, their greatest enemy is their own self
What they plan to achieve:
1) Removing the members of the triumvirate from their positions - As the world begins to fall apart, everyone's favorite dock worker Orion Pax, founder of the Autobots, meets up with his fellow revolutionary Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. Both are inspiring spokespeople of their respective organizations, dreaming of a better tomorrow and sending messages of hope to their followers. They coordinate protests and hand out flyers, help those in need and stand against their oppressors. There is nothing more punk than spreading love and hope in a world which wishes to take this from them.
One day, a protest in Iacon turns violent and the Decepticons storm the senate and the council while the Autobots guide shocked civilians to safety. Orion Pax and Megatron hunt down the Prime - they follow him to his safe room where they talk for the last time, before Megatron shoots Sentinel Prime in a fit of rage. At Orion's unwillingness to destroy the root of all their problems, he declares war on the Autobots. At first, it seems like it had been nothing but an empty threat, until the Decepticons start attacking cities with wobbly but still functioning political structures all over Cybertron. One group of Autobots retaliates and this marks the unofficial beginning of the Cybertronian Great War.
Proteus escapes and leaves Cybertron, only to be slain by Starscream once his ship sets course to Earth. Zeta becomes the next Prime and remains on Cybertron, until an angry and upgraded Orion Pax returns from Earth just to kill him for personal reasons.
The Matrix is missing - it has been since the start of the war - but they find clues that it may have been stored away in one of their ships (Autobot or Decepticon). The Matrix acts like a two-way screen here. It lets the dormant Primus experience life on his surface in the form of a dream while the Matrix-bearer may see what is happening on Cybertron and how the planet itself is feeling. There is also this whole wisdom-of-past-Primes shtick, but that doesn't work well nor is it actually helpful. Not that it matters since it's gone anyway.
Rung has simply had enough, transformed and left... because he did not like Sentinel Prime and Zeta even less, lmao.
2) Decoupling the legislative, executive and judicial systems from the Primacy - Prowl was a lawyer before he was reframed. One of his cases was linked to the illegal activities of Sentinel Prime and how he and his allies funded laboratories to which he sent mecha who were causing him trouble. He found himself in such a lab pretty soon, his memories were wiped, he was given a new frame, a new identity, and now he was Prowl, the enforcer. His undetected sibling bond was the only evidence for what was done to him.
After joining the Autobots, he digs deeper into the Prime's illicit activities and finds enough leverage against him to tell Orion about it. The information finds its way out of the inner circles of the Autobots - it sparks an outcry by the public.
3) Form independent but cooperative city-states (gone wrong) - In order to reach equity, they must challenge the status quo which is easier said than done. Although cityspeakers have some influence in the grand scheme of things, it is not enough to ensure that the needs of their titans will be met. Too many lives are on the line so the less powerful cityspeakers team up against the government's favorites.
One of them, Damus, also known as Tarn (the tank), the cityspeaker of Tarn (the titan), argues with his mentor Iaconus, cityspeaker of Iacon. Things get out of hand and Iaconus calls in a favor of the Prime and wants Damus to be (dun dun duuun!) reframed. Shocking! Outrageous! Tarn (the titan) is having none of it and manufactures a second frame for his speaker.
Tarn (the tank) is none the wiser of the situation and just like he did before, he accepts Iaconus as his mentor. But Iaconus is noticably less friendly now. Tarn doesn't mind. The titan does but other than wishing for him to be cautious in the form of gentle pleas and mental hugs, he is powerless to prevent his speaker from falling for Iaconus' illusion.
A few cityspeakers suspect a conspiracy behind this sudden change. Praxus (Commissioner Cordon in his private life, there's a Batman joke here somewhere) investigates as far as he can but doesn't find out much. Or anything that will make a change. Tarn will never know what had transpired and so he lives on in the shadow of his mentor and in the safety of his titan, until the council denies his propositions for a better infrastructure and more needed funding for the umpteenth time. He follows the same path his predecessor has - the path that leads to his demise once again.
This time, he tries to keep it a secret from Iaconus. Other less-favored titan-cityspeaker duos join him and together they make a plan to protest the council's and senate's refusal to help them. Iaconus and a few of his "friends" join the official's side and that marks the end of their mentorship.
Also, no one likes Iaconus. All my homies hate Iaconus.
Tarn (the tank) is heartbroken, Tarn (the titan) is sad but supportive and then. And then the war breaks out, titans are destroyed, killed, and the cityspeakers meet up for the last time. Declaring the end of their neutrality they split up into Decepticons and Autobots - Iaconus and his traitors are waiting for them. They fight and Iaconus injures Tarn who is still hesitant to fight his former mentor. Megatron finds him and lifts him up, promising a better future for all of them if they joined his ranks.
And Tarn, the ever naive and hopeful mech he is, believes him. Those who joined them that day and lost their titans in a fight will later become the Decepticon Justice Division. They will become Headmasters and pilot their dead titans through space to hunt down traitors and dangerous Autobots alike.
4) Find a compromise - Optimus has returned to the Well of All Sparks (because of course he has) and Rodimus has taken over his position... more or less out of his own volition. But! Fret not, as he has a team of some of the best mechanisms the world has to offer standing by his side. He's got this (he does, in fact, not have this). They're not going on a cool space adventure this time - though I don't think they would mind that much.
Seven cross-faction teams are working together to find a way to stop Unicron from forming and destroying their planet. Meanwhile Rodimus has to suffer through bureaucracy and politics. The seven teams find a way to ensure the Quintessons will not destroy their kind and they fight Unicron, G1 movie-style. He wakes for a short amount of time and sees what is going on, separates into his two halves again and threatens to obliterate the Quintesson ships out of Cybertron's orbit. No one is allowed to mess with him, not even creations of Primus. A handful of Quintessons that don't want to conquer the planet but want to live there regardless negotiate for a right of residence and are accepted into their society. Unicron returns to his deep slumber, he resumes orbiting Cybertron as Luna I and Luna II and the day is saved.
5) Characters can change under hardships.
-
Incandescence:
Ironwing's team has commited treason against the Galactic Council and they are on the run from Autobots, Decepticons and the same Space Police Organization they used to work for while simultaneously searching for spare parts to build... something??? that Carbonlight says will end all conflict throughout the universe. It is left unsaid that the machine they intend to create will be a mind-control device for starformers, huge, radiant, resting, planet-sized mechanical lifeforms that were created in the same way that Primus was.
Carbonlight's plans come into fruition and he takes control over three starformers. It is Ironwing's and his team's mission to stop them.
A neutral ship called the Stellar Observatory offers their assistance and together they try to lure the starformers into a trap and destroy Carbonlight's dangerous invention.
-
💣 - What/who triggers the climax of the plot?
Entropy:
This is hard to say because many factors influence how the final battle will play out. One would be that the Autobots have found new motivation to end the war after landing on Earth, another would be that Orion has had enough of Zeta Prime's unwillingness to help them and he murders him. Surprising to no one but himself, he finds the Matrix (pedestal included) waiting for him in the control room of his ship the next day and he accepts the Primacy for the sake of his Autobots.
Megatron is enraged because his opponent has embraced the symbol of their oppression (and he's totally not jealous of OP, noo). He launches an all-out attack on the Autobots at which the newly dubbed Optimus Prime responds with everything his forces have to offer. It's a wasteful event. Too many are injured to fight on, the Decepticons and Autobots are tired of everything. So Soundwave and Starscream come to the conclusion that now would be a good moment to put an end to it all.
They incapacitate him and negotiate the end of the war in the name of their faction and the majority of Cons agree to it. Megatron has become too attached to his warped idea of a fair society. He may have been an inspiring revolutionary once, but as the war dragged on, he had lost himself to the chase of thrill. He had become too obsessed over killing his once insignificant rival.
But despite his lack of fighting skills and his inadequate build, Orion had withstood. He had upgraded himself after each defeat. He had become his equal in strength and wits and destruction. They really, truly deserve each other (derogatory). Megatron is exiled and Optimus flies into the Well of All Sparks because he thinks it's the right thing to do.
Then, Rung escapes and appears in front of a shocked Hot Rod.
Fast forward a couple of years, Unicron is in their planet's orbit and Starscream and his cross-faction science division has made a fleet powerful enough to approach the giant planetary defense system that is targeting them. What triggers the final battle is Unicron's attack.
Seven ships set out to space and only the most courageous (and foolish) enter his frame and trigger the giant to wake up. He chases away the hostile Quintessons and returns to sleep.
Incandescence:
Carbonlight hears of Unicron's short waking and sets course toward Cybertron. Near its sun, the Stellar Observatory overtakes them and they lure the starformers into the sun.
-
🦋 - Which character has the biggest transformation?
Entropy:
Prowl. Not only is he the main protagonist, he goes through so much character development that I need a full document to keep track of all the subtle but important changes over the course of the story. He does a completely 360° in terms of - I don't know - everything? It's hard to describe in just a few sentences but I'll try.
He wakes up in his new body with no recollection of his past. He is, save for his spark, a blank slate. His partner doesn't care what happens to him, his supervisor doesn't give him explanations and at the slightest mishap, he will meet the fate of all Prowls that have come before him. Strayshot has lost count how many partner changes he's had and all of them had been unexperienced rookies who asked too many questions.
So, on his first mission, he is told over his comms to shoot an unarmed suspect. He obeys because he is three hours old and has no idea what is actually going on. Suddenly, a part in his processor activates and he thinks to himself, "This feels wrong."
Prowl gets used to the monotonous busy life of an enforcer and grows to hate it internally. Slowly, he starts to question whether what he is doing is truly morally correct or if he is being played and he tries to be discreet about it. With little guidance how to do his job correctly, he starts to feel overwhelmed. His tactical network is state of the art software, the best on the market, but it's incompatible with his own hardware. Strayshot finds him during his first crash and stays just long enough to stabilize his condition.
This is how he learns what compassion is, although it's forced and unnatural in this case. After he recovers, something tugs on his spark. A strange feeling makes him wander off to a less favorable part of lower Praxus and he sees two suspicious mechanizms watching him. When he chases after them, they lure him into a trap and reveal their identities.
It turns out that Brawn and Side Burn are his brothers and Prowl’s spark remembers them. The three of them catch up with their lives and while Prowl doesn’t trust them yet, they agree to meet again in a few days. This goes on for a while, until Strayshot dies. He goes without a partner for a while and is tasked with paperwork only, which isn’t as bad as it sounds for someone with the best integrated tacnet Cybertron has to offer. This leaves him with a lot of time to think about how he could make their next meeting safer. This doesn’t work out as planned and during a sensitive case he catches someone spying on them. A chase sequence happens.
As soon as he has the chance, he goes against direct orders not to go underground and follows the stranger deep into the tunnels under their planet’s crust. There he finds himself surrounded by hostile bots hiding from the law. Outnumbered and outgunned, he expects them to treat him like he treats all criminals, but to his surprise they spare his life. Then their leader shows up, a lowly dock worker named Orion Pax who believes it is time to change the world.
They talk about a lot and Prowl learns that the political situation everywhere else on Cybertron isn’t much better. Sentinel Prime has turned the government against the general population in hope to gain even more power, many other politicians are spitting on the rights of the people. It is hard to speak up because the scientists have developed and perfected reframing. Basically every enemy of the state can be reshaped and employed to work for the government against their will and everyone who learns about it shares the same fate. Even those who accidentally insult any of the Prime’s friends aren’t safe.
Prowl is offered a choice. He can either join these rebels that call themselves the Autobots, or return to his old life as an enforcer but not before they use the cortical psychic patch on him and clear his memories of the past couple of hours. He refuses at first and a few Autobots call him out on how he is a murderer of the innocent and this paired with the stress he’s under leads to another crash.
When he wakes up, Ratchet is still tending to him. He recognizes the famous medic and calls him a traitor, but he is grateful for the patch-up. They talk about his role in this conflict and Prowl comes to the conclusion that he cannot join the Autobots yet, but he is willing to function as a sort of associate and advisor and he gives Orion his contact data.
Then he gets a new partner, a brand new reframed mech called Barricade who has different specifications than his prototype and a blank personality. Prowl should act as his partner and his mentor until Barricade is seen fit to be transferred to Kaon and take over a small team of his own once his training is finished. Prowl isn’t thrilled about this development, but soon he sees the potential that Barry has.
The moment the new mech shows signs of a personality starting to blossom, Prowl teaches him to question everything and to think for himself. But only when no one is watching. After some team bonding, Prowl now sees his mentee like a third brother. Since his own siblings don’t want an outsider to get involved in this, he doesn’t tell Barricade about anything. Side Burn and Brawn cross paths with the Autobots too, but since they’re harmless, they only get an invitation to join them - and they will when Prowl does.
One day, Prowl goes against his commander's orders and backs up, while the other enforcers charge forward. It turns out it was a trap set by a radical bunch of Decepticons and all except a critically damaged Barricade die. The young mech is patched up to save his life, but they don’t erase his memories despite the obvious processor damage he has sustained, hoping that it would make him more resilient and aggressive towards Decepticons.
It is the last straw for Prowl when Jazz tells him what he has found out about his team’s fate and while his citizen record is officially marked as KIA (and another Prowl is put in his spot), a highly trained squad under the ‘improved’ Barricade hunts for him. Prowl joins the Autobots full time as their new strategist and does his best to keep his helm low and avoid public attention.
Meanwhile, the Barricade's squad suffers failure after failure and in his pursuit of his former mentor, he strays from his designated path and they decide to have him thrown into the pit fights as punishment. And former enforcers aren’t popular with the poor mecha fighting for their lives. That’s where he meets Megatron and where it really goes downwards for his mental health. Poor guy. He learns a hard lesson and when the war breaks out, he joins the Decepticons.
Prowl is now the head strategist of the Autobots and takes over Ariel’s role as second in command. She remains a general and one of Orion’s right hand mecha like Dion and Jazz.
As the war rages on, the stakes are raised and Orion asks Prowl to run a simulation that should help them gain the upper hand as soon as possible, but he and his carefully picked team of strategists miscalculate the risks one too many times. To him it feels like he is trapped in there for eternity, his processor is operating at such high speeds that he loses track of time. And when it is over the amount of time he has been gone should remain ambiguous to him.
One day, the simulation is disconnected. Everything stops and the program reports that a majority of their forces have lost after what feels like many years of continuous calculation. Orion informs him that this has not been a simulation at all. Well, oops, haha.
Now he has to live with the knowledge that he has sent countless bots to their death and Orion demotes him, hoping Prowl would find something to distract his troubled mind. He joins Spec Ops and as much as he hates to admit it, the energon-pumping action helps him cope with what happened. He goes full-on ninja mode (like in Animated), complete with new looks and extensive training.
It takes a lot of convincing from his coworkers to accept reality after being trapped in a simulation. At one point, he has become numb to outside influence and thinks everything that has happened until now is just one single, enormous simulation and that none of this is real. But it is and it hurts to think about it. Prowl is under constant surveillance since they fear he might snap. And he does snap but not outwardly.
This is as close as he'll ever get to IDW1 levels of cold and calculating. It's his defense mechanism against losing his mind completely. He can't hurt anyone if no one is close to him. His friends catch on quickly though and show him how much they still care about him.
Being reminded about his failures becomes more bearable over time. Then the Autobots find their way to Earth. Humans aren’t affiliated with the Galactic Council which allows Cybertronians to approach the planet. It also happens to be the last one Orion’s team visits before peace is declared.
Here, the Cons capture half of Spec Ops and download Prowl's tacnet into the Constructicons. Yay! Not only that, but their minds come in contact and Prowl leaves behind a backdoor, a string of code which will allow him later to force them to combine and seek him out. With one of their top combiners out of the picture, the Autobots regain superiority on the battlefield and so on and so forth.
Hours after peace is negotiated, Prowl sneaks in to the brig and frees the Constructicons out of guilt. He has had years to come to terms with what he has done and with the help of his friends, he has learned to let go of past troubles. He does testify before court and serves his sentence working in construction alongside new friends. It's surprising how well his tacnet is suited for this industry. And how content he is to just try living like a normal mech while watching the world heal.
Incandescence:
Hmm, it has to be Helios. Life isn't easy on him and he feels like he's only good at being a tool for others to wield. Despite his devotion, he earns naught but a speck of recognition. His efforts are invisible, they are not something to be proud of and he sure isn't proud of himself. His brother didn't express positive emotions towards him and everyone else ignores him, save for Proteus who only sees him for his usefulness as a cheap errand boy and a scapegoat that does the dirty work for him.
Helios learns what it means to be loved and cherished once he lands on Earth. The local air rescue team is kind to him and when the Stellar Observatory takes him in, he befriends Nightjet and Ironwing. They show him what life should feel like and those days are the happiest of his life. He masks his troubles behind false cheerfulness and this scares away other members of the crew, but not these two.
He can be himself when they're around - and the same can be said about Ironwing and Nightjet. A proud warrior and a deceivingly disinterested mech return back to their old, authentic selves, an enthusiastic actor and an adventurer full of romantic ideas and musings.
These three mean so much to me and they don't even have a ship name.

Pathologic IDW Transformers AU Concept
This might be slightly niche, I don’t know. I think this game is popular enough to make an AU for it, lol
But I got a minute to play a little Pathologic (Мор. Утопия) lately and my brain went “concept time” so here we go!!!
For those who don’t know what the fuck Pathologic is, it’s an “oh shit the town has plague and it’s REAL BAD” game but it’s excellent
There are three main characters, and this is massively simplifying things, but Pathologic is a Whole Thing so I’m just going to summarise very roughly here:
1) Bachelor - Mostly a douchebag/privileged, but actually a doctor. Lots of medical knowledge.
2) Haruspex - If you don’t know what a haruspex is, it’s someone who divines through manipulating organs of sacrificed animals. Some medical/anatomical knowledge.
3) Changeling - Arcane magic lady. No or little (scientific) medical knowledge.
All three do various forms of medicine to try to unfuck the town and the population of said town, but everyone (including them) are, let’s say, “not okay” so this is is difficult.
So, the Transformers AU concept:
The Bachelor is Ratchet, the Haruspex is Pharma, the Changeling is Velocity.
The town that gets fucked by ultra-cosmic-plague is actually not on Cybertron, but is instead a small settlement on Paradron.
This is to maintain the feeling of 1) everyone sort of having to show up in the middle of all this shit, so there is an element of finding their footing and figuring out what the hell happened and 2) the town in the game is fucked up and possibly trans-dimensional, and Paradron is canonically accessible only via space vortex, which has a similar kind of vibe to it.
IDK I’m exhausted lmao but I just like the idea of space robot medics solving a spooky fucked up plague situation -- Which they already did in the whole Delphi Arc in MTMTE, but I mean
The vibe of Pathologic is so deeply fucked, it’s genuinely hopeless and weird and I love it, and it would be cool to get a similar drawn out “oh shit we have to defeat the plague” kind of scenario with these three
It’s not even necessarily the grimness or whatever, but it’s the funky borderline-supernatural shit approached in a fairly realistic way that I like the most about Pathologic, and Transformers has a bunch of cool arcane space lore that is sadly almost never utilised in canon very often
It would be interesting to see how each of the three different types of scenarios in Pathologic would play out in a Transformers context:
Perhaps due to the arcane nature of this plague, Ratchet’s medical knowledge (as extensive as it is) can only ever be so effective. With his scepticism, he may miss critical signs or lose certain opportunities to make actual progress towards any kind of true treatment or “cure”.
Perhaps Pharma’s approach may be slightly more successful, as it uses arcane elements combined with medical knowledge, but at the cost of divining the cure in such a way that causes fatalities in and of itself.
Perhaps Velocity’s methods of combining cultural knowledge of cityspeaking and reverence of the Primes may allow her to utilise more arcane elements to a greater benefit, but with such methods, is the outcome predictable or even guaranteed?
I feel like there’s potential for an AU in here somewhere that I might write a little for someday, I’ll put it on my table of like 50 fics I never have time to work on lmao sigh

The sudden desire to insert specific military time / location / etc. breaks into my Transformers WIP like Halo does in both the games in the books... (Like TYGER PAX. YEAR OF THE CITYSPEAKER. 1436 HOURS.) ...conflicting directly with the knowledge that that would require me to figure out an INTENSELY SPECIFIC timeline that immediately impacts the characters' ages, which would in turn blow my mind because then I'd be like oh my goodness Bumblebee is a teenager yes but he's also like three hundred forty-two and a half years old technically and how am I supposed to grasp that information This is how LotR fans feel about writing elves, isn't it? I want to insert these little timestamps so badly for the cool effect but also Idk if it's worth the pain of figuring out the timeline for my fic 😆 Probably not, lol.
#sparrow speaks#under my wings#hmm maybe i will wiggle around it#maybe i will name specific years but never number them#kinda like what i did here#or maybe i'll just hold onto this idea for a different fic#tandem#project oreo#i just think it would be really cool as a story element to show arcee's character arc#like she starts out so rigid and so attuned to cybertronian military time because every event has a purpose and no minute can be wasted#and then she meets bumblebee and starts losing track of time because she's no longer counting down the minutes until...well...spoilers ;)#idk. i just wanna do something with this#just write something tag

2, 10, 27, 29 and B for Castor please!
2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?
Castor likes to keep a professional demeanor, but it's not too hard to get her to laugh. The real challenge is getting her to relax.
10. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?
The lie she tells the most? "I'm fine." The lie that haunts her? "The Prince is dead." Castor is someone with a lot of self-confidence and only a few crucial regrets. She's perfectly fine with omitting certain details and telling little white lies.
27. What causes them to feel dread?
The shadow of Supercell, Coldfront, her people getting hurt.
29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?
What weighs on Castor most is that she isn't living up to her ideals. She's failed to protect her city and broken Pollux's no fighting/killing policy. And to top it off, the people that are still around to protect are still getting hurt.
B. What inspired you to create them?
Castor actually has a fun little origin story as a character concept. She started as an AI character I made for a Shadowrun game, where I asked the DM "Hey can I play the spaceship?" At the time I was very occupied with AI characters like Doom's VEGA, Murderbot's ART, and my friend Ultirex's OC Warden. I picked the name Castor because I liked the idea of naming her after a star like VEGA, and also as a little reference to myself to an OCT I had participated in. She started out as someone with a fierce protective streak and an even larger mean streak. The Shadowrun game fell apart after one session, so I eventually re-vamped her into a Cityspeaker for Woman Module, where the mean streak took a backseat for her many other woes.

Congrats this made me dream up an AU where the Earthmover IS a titan in the transformers universe. Here's the ideas I have jotted down so far:
- The Earthmover is a a titan that desires nothing but conquest and war, so is constantly traveling in search of it. She never lays down roots, and is always moving from place to place in search of more violent and fighting.
- The cybertronians produced from her hotspot are all taurs in their root modes, like her! They are also ALL about violence and conquest. Her "little warriors"
- Used to have 2 arms, but the other arm got fucking blown up or torn off during one of her many battles and never got replaced. Her inhabitants want to fix it, but she won't allow it.
- Earthmover doesn't view her inhabitants like other titans do. Instead of feeling caring or nurturing towards them, or focusing on their needs, she views them more as... Well she is somewhat distant from them. At best, she sees them as tools or things to keep alive bc symbiotic relationship.
- The Cybertronians on her technically just. Settled there. If they didn't provide Earthmover with much-needed matinance and assistance (whether it be in battle or elsewhere,) she would have peeled them off her back a long time ago.
- Instead of settling planets with energon, She uses biofuel and solar converters to produce energon. She can and will wipe out all organic life on a planet just to fuel her. However, since Biofuel is less efficient, she mostly relies on Solar Conversion and energon reserves.
- Adding to the above point, any planets with Energon on it she finds are quickly decimated. It does not matter who or what lives there, she and her "Little Warriors" will fucking kill them and take all the energon they can.
- She does transform into a spacefaring vessel. She's constantly adjusting her own transformation sequence to accommodate the structures her people build on her.
- To her, the War is a game, and she will slaughter both sides if she encounters them, no matter the cost. The High Command of both sides know better than to fuck with her, bc she and her warriors tear through their armies like wet tissue paper.
- Her Cityspeakers, instead of painting markings on their faces, give themselves 6 eyes and carry around miniaturized versions of the Earthmovers signature Lightning Weapon, which are seen as symbols of their office. How does Earthmover choose a new cityspeaker! Why, a tournament of course! Last bot standing becomes her cityspeaker!
Thoughts on the Earthmover? I for one love her and also find it funny that ppl are comparing them to giraffes and think that the entire level is perfect. Also I tend to go feral for both giant robots AND moving cities, so the Earthmover is a 2-in-1 combo for me so I may be biased.
GOOD STUFF. war without reason is a Banger and i listen to it from time to time :]
my jaw Actually dropped when I first got to 7-4 and saw Her looking down at me it’s great. i loved the whole level i love violence
The escape sequence freaked me out a little bit just because im bad with time limits but oh man it was great I love it
LORE WISE. oh man oh man oh man (TBA I just woke up)
they kind of remind me of transformers titans they Are walking cities… oc idea where an earthmover basically has a cityspeaker to communicate to its vast brain
their designs are so good and they are so fucked. the texture for the flesh they’re filled with has people in it
I love you earthmover

Thinkin about a tf series featuring cityspeakers and titans where the titans are treated like the patron deities of Ancient Greek cities/towns and the cityspeakers are a bit like oracles
Ppl asking the cityspeakers to ask the titans questions/favours and the titans being so far removed from regular cybertronian existence that their replies are unhelpful, untimely, nonsensical or a combination of the three
Titans having drama with each other through encouraging drama between their respective citizens (sports games, ill fated romance, armed conflict, sabotaged trade agreements, whatever I’m not picky)
Conversely titans that are good friends encouraging their citizens to work well together (or moving to be close to each other so the separate cities are eventually indistinguishable from one another)
Some cityspeakers getting along really well with their titans and some cities being really dysfunctional bc their titan doesn’t like any of their cityspeakers
U know things are bad when the titans themselves have to actually get up and intervene
The worldbuilding and aesthetic potential… it would be so fun….
#fun world building example: maps would go out of date very fast bc cities just keep getting up and LITERALLY WALKING AWAY#hasbro hire me /j#optimist.txt#@hasbro I am begging you to give us more titan lore how do they WORK I want to know MORE#cityspeaker game

when fighting, which Heroes (and perhaps, Villains) tend to flourish their moves and show off? and how often are they allowed to do that? i.e Scourge Twirls his hammer in the air before slamming it into the ground to create multiple sweeps in a burst of light, Cheetor flourishing his Knives before Throwing them? or would they just get attacked while its happening? or perhaps they USUALLY allow it, but attack when things get Serious?
Overlord
just. saying that one up front loud and clear. Overlord for sure. anyway.
first of all, this is a goddamn magical girl anime, you KNOW it's all about the flourishes and twirls and poses and catchphrases and sparkles and witty back-and-forths. heck, i think it's a staple of the genre to have some degree of plot armor for the posing and flourishing because sure that's impractical and dangerous in a real fight and will make you vulnerable, but. the vibes. gotta have the vibes.
of the heroes, Thunderblast and Airachnid are actually tied for blatantly showiest, in different ways. Thunderblast has a very deep seated notice me, need me, pay attention to me drive that expresses itself as always being up front and loud, stealing the spotlight, jumping in to act when she isn't necessarily needed, showing off to grab attention and keep optics on her, making herself not only useful but interesting, either appealing or infuriating so everyone will see her and keep seeing her and she won't have to be alone in the dark, and it's a lot of physicality that seems unpracticed and unnecessary in actually fighting an enemy. Airachnid on the other hand uses attention as a form of control, to manipulate emotions and change perspectives and control narratives, to maneuver enemies where she wants them and force them to make exactly what assumptions about her she's leading them to make, hunting through mind games instead of through secrecy. so her physicality is not always big and loud and proud, sometimes it's sly and creeping, or blunt and flippant, or intimidating and predatory, so her flourishes and showing off are specifically tailored to the situation instead of just motion for motion's sake
Drift. Drift is SO big on swishy swords and quick pirouettes and sweeping bows and coy winks and fancy footwork, it's ridiculous. everyone rolls their optics at him except Rodimus who is just egged on by this. Rodimus is more blunt flaming brute force than Drift's delicate swift skill but he is absolutely a show off, both for his own fun "bro what if i did a sick kickflip" and also to try and impress neg Drift. Cheetor likes to sit back and watch them both be ridiculous at each other, but he finds cool twirls and spins fun too. of course he's fast enough that he can flip his daggers as quick as a helicopter rotor if he wants to and still have time to spare to stab someone coming at him, so it poses significantly less of a threat for him than others. most of his showing off is in his sheer speed and flexibility, with some impossible acrobatics he can pull off with ease that makes Rodimus and Drift jealous
Triptych isn't usually big on showing off and posing and stuff, but it depends on which mask is on: Mournsong is no-nonsense and economical, Predator will puff up and move as threateningly as possible, and Farsight has been known to (very badly) try ballet in the middle of a duel just for kicks. Hellscream can be pretty showy, but that's just like, his entire fussy bird personality, so no biggie there. Missy is usually practical but in moments of solemnity or significance she will absolutely rely on an almost ritual economy of motion that makes everything look deliberate and ethereal, especially when cityspeaking. it's like watching a spiritual experience instead of a show off, like she's forgotten anyone else is looking
Sixshot is very flourishy but completely unintentionally, they're a sixchanger, they can't help it! but they do have a weapon particularly suited to fancy twirls and use it for such indiscriminately. Elita 4 is all about the cool, cute, kawaii vibes, so she is all in on the poses and the blowing kisses and the teehee hand over mouth and the twinkletoes dancing across a battlefield. her gravikinesis makes this ridiculously easy so it doesn't endanger her too much. Elita 2 actually likes to copy her a bit specifically to make enemies underestimate her, before she moves in and guts them with speed and practicality. Scourge loves the idea of flourishes, but uh, is a little less coordinated than he'd like to be? trying to spin his hammer has absolutely resulted in someone getting the Forge to the face, sometimes himself. so he's only actually cool and competent when he isn't thinking about it, which makes his showiness less showing off and more just unconsciously cool
Optimus isn't very flourishy! he has his moments, sure, but he doesn't have any handheld weapons to twirl and isn't really given to dramatics, so he's pretty down to earth, comparatively. his most striking moments are when he's standing tall and firm and giving some sort of inspiring speech, rather than a cool flourish. Galvatron is not like that. he's not really twirly or intricate, just brutal, and his showing off is more in loud yelling and dramatic pauses before a powerful blow. Elita 1 would rather skip to the stabbing part than swish her sword around, thanks, or just punch someone, that works too. this means she's absolutely just decked Galvatron while he's still in the middle of some witty banter
Ultra Magnus is very practical in his movements, as is Elita 3, although neither of them are above some cool swishy motions with their weapons, and Elita 3 has a habit of moving along with the metal she's kinetically manipulating, a bit like bending but not full-on martial arts. Abominus is also more controlled, but this comes from an awareness of his own size and threatening stature, and he's careful to only ever come across as dangerous when he wants to, otherwise he moves very precisely so he doesn't hurt anything on accident. Elita 5 is also conscious of her large frame and large weapon and doesn't flourish very much, except with her flames which she makes into beautiful patterns and colors just for funsies to show off
Soundwave and Cyclonus are the least flourishy, Soundwave because he is nerfed by his own inner dialogue/argument and Cyclonus because this guy is just that stoic. sure he'll twirl his swords some but also why do a cool spin when he can just. teleport. boom, he's there, done
for antagonists aside from Overlord, uhhhh
okay so there's an episode where Jazz accidentally causes a state-wide compulsive musical, so like he is automatically the flourishiest show-offiest of them because he literally has his own showtunes and everything. Tarn and co are very dramatic and grandstanding and attention-grabbing, and they also feature music to some degree? hmmm. Kremzeek is Kremzeek. Trypticon's entire deal is just being big and threatening and showing off. Unicron victims are sort of as a rule rather robotic and one-track-minded so, if they ended up with a dramatic "default program" when infected like Flip Sides they might show off some, but otherwise they're hard to get a read on. Shockblast is completely practical and economical to the point where he barely emotes

Talking it over some with a friend, I think that an idea I like for this hypothetical mostly fembot led Transformers story is a post-war travel based space opera thing inspired by Star Trek.
So like the war’s over and we need someone to go out and reconnect with the scattered colonies, as well as connect with titans on planets that haven’t been contacted in billions of years. Windblade gets elected for this since she’s a cityspeaker and Chromia is assigned as her bodyguard. Then we could have, I think, Arcee around to be The Older Woman on the ship. One more in line with the Prime Arcee, I think, as that kind of personality would work well with the idea of needing an older bot on board to temper Windblade’s overly idealistic nature. Maxima also insists on coming along because she’s Windblade’s friend and we’re salvaging her from dying in a cartoon no one liked.
In terms of villains...Those can be switched up fairly regularly since we will be primarily traveling out and about. Blackarachnia or Airachnid could make for a good recurring villain. The latter in particular with Arcee being on board since the history they have with one another in Prime could be retooled for this thing. Astraea from that one game that was cancelled could be salvaged and built into something for this too.
I would like Hot Rod around just because I am very fond of him and dunking on him. And Knockout was suggested as a villainous dude counterpart to Hot Rod in the cast and like yes. We need Knockout. Knockout is wonderful and I love him.
Obviously going to the more well known colonies would be a thing. Velocitron is a must. This could even be where they first run into Knockout. But the ideal would be to be able to have just like a large number of planets not seen before. New planets with new cultures. And in general G1 stuff is kept at a minimum.

Dear Vector Prime, in some permutations of the Marvel G1 continuity, Cybertron was ruled by a lineage of Autobot "Overlords" prior to the outbreak of the Great War. Who were these bots and how did they come to power? What can you tell us in particular about the final Overlord, who was left for dead by Megatron and Ravage during the Tarn-Vos War?
Dear Overlord Observer,
The Overlords were an ancient religious order that arose in the early days of Cybertronian history—a collection of priests, oracles, and blacksmiths who oversaw the hallowed budding ceremonies that took place during those heady days of rapid propagation. Under their supervision, legions of cityspeakers raised Titans from the living fabric of Cybertron and shaped them into glimmering metropolises that would accommodate their growing civilization—and although Primus would eventually erase all memory of this ancient ritual from his creations, the Overlords maintained a lofty position in the Cybertronian hierarchy, a lineage that would go on to include legendary historical figures like Sky Garry, Exarchon, Gigatron, Megabolt, Dominus Ambus, Alpha Trion, Victory Leo, and Domitius Major, each governing their chosen nation as they saw fit.
Each Overlord ruled their chosen city-state, and sent Senators to represent their various polities at the Presidium in Iacon. Their rule was peaceful, and largely benevolent, but as Cybertronian civilization continued to evolve, their guiding influence on Cybertronian civilization gradually eroded. One by one, the Overlords gradually died off, and neighboring Overlords inherited their territories; this process continued until Dai Atlas, the final Overlord, had ostensibly taken control of the entire planet. A passive, complacent sort, Dai Atlas legitimately believed that instituting the State Games would ease tensions and restore the crumbling planet—but unfortunately, the process only abetted the rise of Megatron.
During the Great War that followed, one inspiring young Autobot deliberately styled himself after the Overlords of old to honor them, even giving himself a new name based on their grandiose titles—it is in this way that the Autobot Star Saber carved out a name for himself on the battlefield.

Character review!!;(1/4)
Lets not waste time, and get started with some members of team prime, aka, our autobots! (warning; light lewdness, and much profanity, especially in the later entries)
*not EVERY autobot will be on this list. Only those I want to talk about, if there are any I haven’t covered, send as in an ask.
Bumblebee!!;
Our friendly little scout, Bumblebee! This Bumblebee played a huge part in season one and two, and was honestly just a delightful little mech! He’s vibrant, he’s funny, he’s cute, and he’s all around just a real sweet bot who loves his friends, and a good game of cube. He’s not perfect however, but I blame that mostly on the show itself. Having said that, I’m giving him 9/10, because his use of character in season one really helped launch the show, and he needs to be appreciated for that.
Windblade!!;
Cityspeaker to titans, Windy to her friends, this little birdy is one of Bumblebee’s BEST friends, and tags along with him pretty much this entire series. I’ve known Windblade in RID2015, but this Windblade has far more personality. This Windblade is sweet, true, and honestly just a true friend. She has a lovely laugh, wants what’s best for Cybertron, and can never really lose patience for Bumblebee and his antics. 8/10, because she’s honestly so sweet to her friends. I’d give her more, but her discrimination against decepticons and lack of a real character ark for herself kinda put her lower. Still loved her though, much more than her cocky RID2015 version.
Grimlock!!;
Aka the king of the dinosours! Grimlock here is quite the character! In dino mode, he’s aggressive, powerful, and a bit dim witted. In bot mode, he’s articulate, kind, and the bot that can, and will have your back. This Grimlock is different from the others, but honestly, I love this change! It gives him a different personality, and it honestly makes him a charming lil dino! 10/10, I think this Grimlock is easy one of my favorite one! (plus, who doesn’t love a gentlemech? the number of times he’s had a fems back is wild).
Rack and Ruin!!; *no alt mode available
Okay, listen for like two seconds. I REALLY didn’t like them at the beginning of the series, I thought these guys were just weird, and that’s it. However, in their episode with Ratchet, I was pleasantly surprised at just how wrong I was. These two are weird yes, but they’re also SO dumb, and so excitable. They want to help everyone to badly, and they genuinely think the other one is the shit. They have a sort of himbo charm that’s honestly very sweet, and their often accidental success is hilarious. so, 9/10. I’d give them 10/10, had they had more episodes to progress in character. I love them though, and I would very much like to smooch their faces and feed them some pie.
Maccadam!!; *No alt mode available
Maccadam is a VERY interesting character. I’ve really only heard of him through his namesake bar in different continuities, so I really thought he’d be just the background bartender. I was so wrong in that assumption. Our buddy here actually played a huge role in many of the later plot lines, both in plot progression and emotional support for others. His roles aside, Maccadam is a charming character! he’s sweet, albeit a bit odd, and is genuinely a pacifist, only raising a hand when need be. He’s sort of the grandpa to all the characters, and I really don’t think a single character dislikes him. 10/10. He MADE this series, and I love him so much (plus he’s chunky, I’d like to take HIM out for a drink)
