with dazai it's like you're confused and amused more than jealous.

He flirts to get information, it works greatly is what's more annoying to you.

This one time you both were set up on a mission and not even two seconds in and he flirted with the prime suspect and deemed her "incapable of doing murder"

When asked why he responded “I would frame her too, she's too afraid and cowardly and she's lacking financially so her motive would've been perfect to kill.. however, the way she trembles and speaks and responds is a way no killer would be able to.. She could be an actress but her hands are of those of the abused. Meaning she was purposely planted to distract us.. That's something I would do if I was the killer" (plot holes in this but I'm not a detective so excuse me if I get any thing wrong)

You were just gawking the whole time over how much he analyzed from touching the ladies hand and speaking to her softly and sweetly.. It was a mask yes but still it made you jealous.. Not like you were to admit that.

You could only sigh at his theatrics, 'how is he not an actor?' you thought. “don't bother dazai I know it was for work..” you sighed looking through the information you gathered. He did tease you but he ultimately didn't really know how to respond to that. As he's told you before he cant really respond with that exact emotions you want. He tried though.

“well.. I only 'flirt' for work but ultimately who do I go home to and for? You” it did make you internally embarrassed because he just said that loudly in a silent hall with people.

Chuuya:

He isn't a flirt, his thing is more of actions speak louder then words but he does get flirted with. He doesn't respond to it but it does annoy you a little.

I think he'd be dense when it comes to recognizing jealousy, he'd just think everything is fine unless you directly tell him it's not

One time, at a café when you were both off of your work and getting something to drink while you caught up for the week a woman came up asking for your boyfriends number.

He was about to say something before he saw a book in her hand, he did mention he'd been reading a few books recently and that you should check them out if you have time but you didn't have time. You were regretting it now for sure.

“oh you like that book?” “yes!” “oh what was-....” their words were no longer being heard by you when all you did was stare down at your drink counting till when she would leave him. But to your disappointment it was like chuuya forgot who he came to the date with. After what felt like 30 minutes she smiled and left with his number as you glared at him and picked up the butter knife.

You stared at him and he only smiled at you in return, it wasn't intentional you could see it but it annoyed you so much “so you just give away your number to random people huh?” you asked earning a confused look from him, “what do you mean darling?” “you know what I mean, the girl the book ring a bell for you yet Einstein?” he nodded before pausing “oh wait what? You were jealous!?”

He, instead of sitting across came to your side and sat beside you lightly hugging you “sorry if it made you jealous I was just kind of happy because we had similar interests is all, you're the one I'll take to dinner and you're the one who I'll plan to spend my life with along with wine”

It made you smile.

He is more dense.. He's oblivious, he doesn't even know you were jealous.. Why were you jealous? That's his thought

We all know atsushi has a thing for saving people but people do tend to over think interactions. You have witnessed multiple times where people who atsushi saved tried flirting with him. As your oblivious partner just kept being dense.

Lucy, he told you was her name, came back with the orders placing it and when he called you 'love' which wasn't often unless he noticed something off about you that her eyes almost bulged out “YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!?” she shouted at him not that loudly to disturb everyone but still nearby customers did hear it. Atsushi nodded “oh yes, I thought I told you last time me and kyouka came” they started bantering again.

You felt jealous and annoyed, she seemed sweet.. But jealousy just made you feel angry and annoyed at her. After your café trip you walked out of the café not waiting for him to catch up. He grabbed your wrist asking what's wrong and you could only sigh "jealousy, I'm jealous, you've known her for longer then our relationship and she even could have feelings for you!” you said to which his response was shutting down literally he tried to process what you just said..

"you're jealous? JEALOUS??” he was shocked and in comparison to his obliviousness you only kissed him. It made him redder then red paint could even get. He was confused as to why you were jealous but he reassured you that he only likes you and lucy is a good person and friend of his.

His dear sister had to work so hard just to earn her money as a small secretary in this Port Mafia Headquarter. You guys stood there, silenced for a moment then you heard his voice resound.

A voice cut off your conversation with Chuuya. Before you turned your head aside to know who that person was, you felt someone’s arms wrapped around your body, and their chin leaned on your shoulder, that person continued saying.

“Huh?” Chuuya raised his eyebrows up then his gray eyes looked at you. At that moment you just smiled at him because your secret you tried to keep for a long time had just been exposed in front of his eyes.

“Next time, I swear I won’t join in this kind of mission again.”

Dazai sighed as he finally slowly reached the Headquarter, the mission was so tough, the clues and lots of information were messing around him. Even Dazai was smart enough to solve it but it still bothered him in some ways and that caused all of his tiredness today.

He was looking forward to hugging you - his little lover to release all of his tiring.

But when the glass door opened, Dazai saw something he shouldn’t see. His woman was talking with his enemy, and you even smiled with that person as gently as you did with him. How Chuuya could earn your smile easily like that, even Dazai always had to do something so you could offer your smile for him.

Dazai couldn’t make it anymore. So he had to cut off this conversation, Dazai couldn’t let his lover talk with his enemy.

“What? This is your boyfriend?”

Chuuya widened his eyes when he saw Dazai, he had just heard you talking about your boyfriend with him two months ago. But now, he finally got a chance to see your boyfriend. You could see Chuuya’s eyes were twitching, this was bad, you thought to yourself. 

“B-Brother, I can explain-”

“This dumbass is your boyfriend?!”

Chuuya’s surprised voice cut you off, and Dazai was smiling in front of Chuuya, he seemed to finally get what he wanted to achieve. Chuuya continued his speech after yelling.

“I don’t want to believe this is true, my dear sister is dating this dumbass.”

“Sorry, but everything is true now, Chuuya.”

“Stop messing around, Dazai! And brother, please listen to my explanation.”

You finally raised your voice just to stop everything and started to explain.

There are discussions of SA and coercion, some pre stormbringer characterization issues but if you go into this as a canon divergence au concept it's very enjoyable. Also the author is very explicit about this being a brainworm that they needed to write cause it wouldn't leave them alone.

You get a food craving? He’ll get it but if it’s too weird he may make himself busy so he doesn’t have to be asked to try it lmao

He feels super proud, excited and scared to become a father. He doesn’t want his kid to have his abilities- if you have some he hopes they have yours otherwise an ability free baby sounds alright to him. He doesn’t want to feel afraid but he’s scared that somehow his time before the sheep will come and take you away - it won’t he won’t let that happen

And when the time comes for you to give birth regardless of where he is he’s there. No missions during the due month nothing at all so he can be there and hold his child with you.

He’d make a pretty good dad especially since when he held them the first time he just knew he’d do absolutely anything for them

You the audience may think he already know but no… no this man is so blind to it that you have to just tell him, don’t bother with cute clues he won’t get it

He’s very cute about it though, he’s not really ready to be a dad but he’s super excited about it because he genuinely thinks he’ll be the best dad ever

The first person he tells is obviously Fukuzawa before about a month later (at your pleading) telling the others in the office who are all very excited for you and your snack loving partner

This man will eat your food cravings with you, no matter how strange it could end up being or even if it’s just some toast with butter on it he’s willing to eat them with you - and if you are a cook? Bro your dinners are gonna be the best

When it begins to really hit him that hey his partner is having an actual child he gets worried for a little while, he knows he himself can act like one at times but he’s fully prepared to be there for you

And you know that little moment parents get when they see their child for the first time? Yeah he gets that and while he might go overboard sometimes he’s a really good dad with a really sweet baby

Atsushi Nakajima

Please give him a tiger plush that just says it straight up. He may be in his 20’s now but he’s still just a big softie

Though he does panic immediately after being told. It’s not that he doesn’t want kids with you he does, he wants to be the best fiancé ever but it’s a little stunning is all. He’s over the moon, joyous beyond measure but scared because he doesn’t want to end up like the Headmaster

The first person he tells is obviously Kyoka his little sister but he also tells Yosano because hey she’s a doctor and maybe she can help with the whole morning sickness thing because he gets queasy every time you get it

He’s such an incredible partner (it’s why you agreed to marry him) he’s giving you back rubs, foot rubs, food runs everything possible because his anxiety is through the roof and he wants to be the best fiancé I’m existence to you.

He is so scared he’ll miss milestones too but slowly he gets into his own groove of it and realises he isn’t missing anything and is just over the moon every time he sees your round belly and he’s just like I have a little kitten in there (or something else sickeningly cute)

Atsushi was running late to work and expected to get an earful from Kunikida. But what he didn't expect was to walk in on such a hypnotizing voice. He followed the sound of the voice to see Y/N with headphones and singing along to some song. You'd look over in his direction and would instantly pull off your headphones. "S-Sorry Y/N!" Atsushi apologized. "I-I shouldn't have listened!" He apologized again.

But secretly, he wanted you to sing again. He had never heard a voice like that in all of his years. And he wanted to listen to it again. "N-No, Atsushi! There's no need to apologize! I was the one singing at work." Y/N would state. "Everyone's left on a mission, so I expected to be alone." They admitted. "But I don't mind if you hear me sing." They explained with a gentle smile. Atsushi perked up. "I'd love to!" He exclaimed happily.

Akutagawa:

-If you caught him listening to you sing, he'd make some remark about how he'd never listen to your crappy singing-

Akutagawa had a terrible day. He saw the Where tiger and Dazai walking around and felt hurt by how Dazai treated Atsushi. How come he wasn't like that with Akutagawa? Was he really that worthless? And to top that off, he screwed up on the mission and got an earful from other subordinates and Chuuya himself. So when he walked in to hear some singing, he was instantly annoyed. Don't they know not to sing so loud?

He'd march up to the room where the singing came from and would be taken aback by seeing you standing there. Had such a melody come from you? Never did he think you could sing so well. "Ah! Akuatagwa! Sorry I was so loud..." Y/N squeaked as they stopped singing. "Tch. Don't make that mistake again. People with that tone of voice shouldn't sing." He decided. No, that's not what he meant to say.. He wanted to hear you sing more. Why did he say that??

Instantly he noticed how you deflated. And as the weeks passed without hearing a single song escape your lips, he decided he need to apologize. So he bought some food he saw you eyeing and pulled you aside from whatever you're doing. "I'm... Sorry for what I said." He apologized. "You.. Have... Quite a lovely voice and I'd love to hear you sing more." He would admit. Please forgive him.

Kunikida:

-If it's during work, he'd probably listen for a second before lecturing you about it being too loud or how you should focus on your work

-If it's outside of work, he probably wouldn't say anything. But you can tell he likes your voice just by his face.

-If he's really stressed or is blaming himself for something, then please sing to him-

-He'd try to compliment you if you're feeling insecure or if he just feels like that- But compliments from him are kinda rare so enjoy it-

Kunikida was about to lose it with how much everyone was slacking. First Dazai forced Atsushi to do his work and now Atsushi can barely function. Then Ranpo just slept the whole day and got mad when he had asked him to do something. So saying Kunikida was stressed was an understatement. He was sitting at his desk working overtime when he heard a beautiful melody echo through. Who could that be? He thought everyone had left?

He stood up and followed the sound of the voice to see you... Doing the work no one would do earlier? His eyes widened as he watched you do it easily... It made him relax, knowing not only the important work was done, but your voice was so soothing to listen to. When it finally ended, Y/N glanced up to see Kunikida standing there. "O-Oh, I'm sorry if I bothered you... I-I thought I was the only one he-" Y/N was cut off. "Please do not apologize. You have a great voice, Y/N." Kunikida interrupted. "And thank you for doing the other idiots' work." He stated nicely.

Ranpo:

-Let's be honest, he already knew you had a good voice- Man has ultra deduction, so of course, he knows you're good-

-But hypothetically if he didn't use that, he'd probably sit up and just look at you with shocked eyes. Or if he's eating, he'd probably drop the food- Would definitely make you buy him more later.

-He'd compliment you like crazy and would ask you to sing to him.

-He'd also brag about you to all the people he can- He'd be like, "Not only am I the best detective, but I have the best s/o. None of you can beat them and their singing." or something along those lines.

-If you sing to him, he'd share his food with you-

He was too tired to go with the others to do some shopping, so he just lay down. He was expecting himself to fall asleep, but couldn't seem to. At first, it bothered him. Until he heard you sing. He rose his head slightly to glance at you in shock. You weren't paying attention to him and were instead reading a book. Did you think he was asleep? Or did you want him to hear you?

Whatever the reason is, he'd just listen to you. There was no need to sleep. Not when he wanted to hear you sing. And when you finished, he'd pout. "Y/NNNN can you sing some more?" He'd beg. Y/N jumped in shock as they glanced at him. "Y-You weren't asleep??" They questioned. "No. Now can you sing again? I'll share some of my food with you.." He whined.

Fyodor:

-It depends on if you're a pawn or not- If you're a pawn, he'd probably think nothing of it and just think, "It's fine, I can replace them" I seriously want to slap some sense into this man-

-But if you aren't, he'd probably invite you to sing while he plays his instruments.

-Wouldn't let anyone else hear you sing. You're his, so only he gets to hear you sing.

-If he's working, he'd probably ask you to sing something. Bonus points if you sing in Russian.

-Please be careful around this man- He strikes me as the type who would treat you like a pet and lock you up in a cage for hours- But hypothetically we're not going with that

"Dear, have you seen m-" He would stop what he was doing as he heard you sing. He had heard many people sing, but not someone with as much talent as you. He'd lean up against the doorframe and would smirk, knowing you were all his. No one but him could hear these beautiful melodies.

"Oh. Fyodor? Do you need something?" Y/N spoke as they finished the song. "I want you to keep singing. Your voice is quite outstanding." He compliment.

Gin:

-She's look so surprised about it- Never had she heard someone with such a beautiful voice

-She definetly listens to music, but she'd think your voice never could compare to any of that

Gin was listening to some music as she completed some extra paperwork Chuuya had given her. But just as she was about to get to the good part of the song, her phone died. "Fuck." She grumbled as she pulled out her headphones. Her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion as she still heard music. She glanced around the room and saw you across the room, gently singing to a song you were playing earlier. Her face would head up slightly as she sat down her phone and just listened to you sing. Each word that came out of your mouth sounded so heavenly to her. So how could someone too heavenly be a part of such a dark organization?

Would be cut from her thoughts as you stopped. "You have a wonderful voice." Gin complimented. Y/N looked at her in shock. "W-Weren't you listening to your own music!?" They exclaimed. "I was. But my phone died." She explained. "But I'd rather hear you sing than listen to my phone." Gin admitted with a small smile.

Kouyou:

-Would be so surprised. She's never heard a voice so innocent before.

Kouyou was walking through the hallway when she heard a beautiful voice echo along the walls. She tilted her head in slight confusion as she followed the sound. It led her straight to your office, so she gently opened the door to see you sitting in your chair singing along to such a... Sad song. Kouyou couldn't help but feel speechless. The last time she had felt so happy hearing music was when... She tried to leave the mafia.

A few tears formed in her eyes as the thoughts of everything happening. How badly she wanted to leave the mafia, how she had hoped she could escape. But when they were caught... How all that hope drained. She had never felt that again until now. Hearing your voice being so pure, so delicate... So full of hope. She couldn't help but feel slightly sad.

"Oh, Kouyou how long ha-Are you alright??" Y/N spoke up as they rushed over to the tearful women. Kouyou smiled. "I'm fine. I just... I never expected to hear a voice like yours. Thank you, Y/N..." She whispered as she brought Y/N into a hug. "Please continue to sing." She begged gently.

So more than anything, she wanted a hug from you. But what she didn't expect... Was the beautiful voice she heard. At first, she thought it was just some mafioso who had brought in someone. But... The more she listened to it, the more it sounded like you. So she followed the sound until it led her to your office. Her mouth dropped as she watched you sing without a care in the world. How come you didn't tell her you could sing this well?? Did you not trust her enough??

"Ack! Higuchi! How long have you been standing there!?" Y/N exclaimed as they jumped slightly. "I should be the one asking YOU questions! How come you didn't tell me you could sing so well!?" Higuchi screeched out as she rushed over. "S-Sorry... I didn't think my singing was that good." Y/N apologized. "Not good!? You're amazing! And don't apologize unless you promise to sing more to me!" Higuchi exclaimed.

-But on a serious note, she'd have you sing constantly- She just loves your voice too much

She had been at work for quite a long time since SOMEONE decided to try to drown themselves again. And truth be told, she was quite exhausted. She just wanted to come home to you and have you cuddle her until she wasn't exhausted. But instead of being greeted with you watching a show, she was greeted with you dancing slightly to a song in the kitchen. Your voice rang off all the walls as you paid no attention to your surroundings.

Yosano could feel her heart pound as a heat filled her face. You sounded so... Calming. Your voice was nothing like she had heard before. So, she slipped off her shoes and approached you. "Y/N?" She questioned. Y/N shot around in alarm. "Y-Yosano! I- I thought you weren't coming back tonight!" Y/N exclaimed. "Of course I was. Healing patients may take time, but I shouldn't ever be gone overnight." Yosano denied. "But since you kindly hid that beautiful voice of yours, I think you need to be punished for it." Yosano stated as a sadistic smile formed.

Poe:

-He'd be so surprised and also flustered

-Would apologize thousands of times for overhearing you

-He's also too shy to ask you to sing for him. But please do- Your voice gives him so much inspiration and brings him so much joy-

-He'd probably ask you to sing him to sleep if he really can't sleep. His mind is just a complete jumbled mess, so your voice makes it less crazy.

-If he's really sad or feeling like a failure, you better sing to him. He'd probably cry because of how much you care for him. Please legalize men crying- It's not at all a weakness >:(

Poe leaned back in his chair as writer's block flowed through his veins. He had been experiencing it for quite a while and no matter what he did, he couldn't seem to get past it. It was frustrating him to no end. He had so many books that needed working on, but he just couldn't find any motivation to write! He sighed in slight annoyance as he closed his eyes to gain some spark of motivation. But ended up opening them again as nothing came to mind.

He perked up slightly as he heard a beautiful, melodic voice from the room over. He slowly leaned forward and stood up. The floorboards creaked under his weight as he approached the door. Smaller pitter patters followed him as Karl followed behind him curiously.

And as he walked into that room, he was so surprised to find you looking at him in shock. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to b-be nosey!" Poe apologized instantly. "Y-Your voice was just too tempting to ignore! I'm so sorry!" He apologized again. Y/N chuckled. "There's nothing to be apologizing for, Poe." They denied. "A-Are you sure? I feel bad." He whispered. "It's completely fine. I wouldn't sing this close to you if I wasn't okay with it." They pointed out to him as they walked over. "Y-You don't become nosey about my stuff, so I still feel b-bad." He apologized. "How about I sing to you again, then? This time, you shouldn't blame yourself." Y/N stated calmly. His face heated up. "Y-You'd sing for me again? T-That'd be wonderful!" He exclaimed.

He’s far from it really.

So he doesn’t understand why his damn sister and his subordinate think he is!

You think he doesn’t notice those longing glances Akutagawa gives you when he thinks you’re not looking? How his tone doesn’t necessarily match the harshness of his words? How he just practically became your shadow, going anywhere that you were? God, it makes him cringe when he sees how awkward he is when he tries to hold a conversation with you, sounding so stiff that he pities him. Then he remembers who he likes, and it gets his blood boiling all over again.

It’s the most obvious thing in the world that Akutagawa likes you, and even if he feels a headache coming on, he can’t help but feel a little bit sorry for him. He’s been acting as a mentor for him since his…original one left (and he still wants to beat his face in because of all the damage he’s done) but in a much better and healthier way. He’s treating Akutagawa as a real person, not just a weapon for the Port Mafia, and this included helping him in any way he could and actually bonding with him outside of their work. Neither one of them were blessed enough to have a normal upbringing, but Chuuya was going to try his hardest not to remind him of that whenever he needed him on stuff that seems simple. Like this whole situation- that he would have been more than happy to help if the crush wasn’t on his little sister!

Chuuya loves you, you’re the only family that he has, so you can’t really be mad at him for reacting this way. He dealt with you joining the Port Mafia, but to have somebody ogling at his sister on a daily basis? He’s cracking his favorite wine glass just thinking about it!

He knows that while Akutagawa “looked up” to his old mentor, didn’t mean that he was a carbon copy of the guy. He still has his own sense of morals, even if it was…twisted at times. He realizes that he’s smart and confident in his ability, but is dense as hell when it comes to anything social.

But he is cruel enough however to make him regret being born if he finds out that he did anything to you-

This was just a blow up waiting to happen, honestly. You don’t know why your brother thinks you’re just the most oblivious person on the planet, but he does. Actually oh wait- you do know why! Because he’s your dumbass older brother who thinks he knows everything and that you don’t. And you noticed how much hovering he’s been doing ever since you started hanging out with Akutagawa more.

But that still doesn’t excuse his behavior. Sending people to follow you guys, popping up when you guys get even a millisecond alone, openly glaring at him so much that you don’t think he even realizes it anymore.

“Now can you leave us be? You’re causing a scene here and look! You’re upsetting Aku!”

“AKU?!” You even have a pet name for him now?! And poor Akutagawa is just…lost on what’s going on, along with the other bystanders.

“Anyway BYE big bro that’s ironically short, see you at home! Don’t try to kill anyone and quit being a weirdo!” You yelled, dragging Akutagawa away as quick as possible.

“Hey! Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you- HEY! THIS ISN’T OVER YOU TWO! I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!”

“Yeah it’s like we live at the same place or something!”

“I WASN’T TALKING TO YOU-”

You two were already crossing another street when he just gave up. The nerve of you, ugh you act too much like him sometimes. You’re too headstrong and stubborn like him, but he really is just watching out for you.

But then he sees how relaxed Akutagawa is around you, how he’s letting you in slowly but surely, and he starts to think that…there’s a chance that he might be able to deal with this-

“Wait- SHORT?!”

Then he’s foaming at the mouth again.

“…Aku?”

It seemed that your little nickname caught Akutagawa off guard too.

“Like it? I know I’m just the best at-”

“Don’t call me such a ridiculous name in front of people ever again.”

“Hm…so only when it’s just us, got it.”

Even if it wasn’t verbal you could tell that he agreed, if trying to turn his face away from you was any indication.

He’s not the friendliest guy, and he can be cold, but he’s trying, and you can see this going somewhere.
