Alyssa and John Webster QnA (Reddit is mentioned)
I bolded the ones I found most interesting!
Do you have the same blood clotting issue?
It is genetic from Gil’s side of the family. Once they discovered it was a family issue, she had already had a couple of kids. Since she has no complications, she has not been tested.
Have you visited Erin at her place?
Yes, several times.
Do you take the kids on family vacations?
Not really. They go to TN and SC with the kids though. John considers that a family vacation but Alyssa does not. They do go with the Websters to the beach every year. They mostly do dad and mom vacations. They want to wait for the kids to get older to do actual vacations like skiing.
Which of the kids is most like you?
Allie has Alyssa’s organizational skills. Alyssa said Lexi looks the most like her at that age. Lexi and Zoey are most like John.
Will you have a sixth child?
No, the pregnancies were too tough. John said accidents can happen.
Who is the last Duggar you have spoken to?
James and Jana. Alyssa talked to them the other day. John was only on the call with James.
Have you ever drank alcohol?
No
Will you continue the vlog in 10-15 years?
Probably not. Their children would be about 11-19 and that is so far in the future.
Is John still working from home?
No. He has been training people and one of their guys got hurt and is out. He will likely go back to WFH.
Did you picture yourselves with 5 kids?
They wanted a large family and to do it pretty early to mitigate risks to mother.
Redditors speculate you only take the kids to church and Costco. Is this true?
John got a lil laugh out of that. Alyssa said the girls do karate two nights a week. John does softball two nights a week and the kids tag along. They are also in church programs on Sundays. They do co-ops once a week and playdates. They also sometimes go to Publix instead of Costco. John said “who reads Reddit anyways?” Um, Carlin lol. John says he can’t remember the last time he read a Reddit post (idk if this means r/BringingUpBates or in general) and Alyssa claims to have never read one.
Do you have non-Christian friends?
Alyssa said they have friends from all backgrounds and religions. Alyssa does admit people gravitate to those who are similar. John said he has always had non-Christian friends.
How does John’s relationship with Rhett differ from his relationship with the girls?
John is “rougher” with Rhett because he loves to tease and wrestle and chase. The girls don’t like that as much.

the worst part about trying to find crochet content on youtube is how Christian the fiber arts community is. Like not because its their religion, whatever who cares, but it's because they have that ~aura~. That VIBE. It's that vibe where there's something a little too sanitized in their mannerisms and way of speaking, like you can TELL they don't cuss even in their personal lives and they're kinda like a suburban mom even though they're in their mid-twenties, they've probably never even smoked a joint before. it's in the same way you can characterize a steampunk-poly-DnD person, every time i'm looking for crochet vlogs or patterns and i stumble across some young woman who is in desperate need of some sick-nasty fun in her life, but instead she is going to church with her boyfriend of 12 years that she's been with since middle school. crochet something for the club girlypop!!!
#i just cant stand listening to the way most of them speak idk there's something about it#i love ikoxun and jenna phipps tho#mine

The Anderson Family Tree (x)
( Aurora, Faye, and Lilibeth all exist within separate universes, notes will be made at the specific points that canons differ)
shoutout to @the-witching-ash for helping me develop this entire clusterfuck of a family
Tag List: want to be added?
Althea Anderson ( Maggie Smith ):
Matriarch of the Anderson family
Divorced her husband in her 60s, came out as a lesbian, her lifelong best friend moved into her house
Would do anything for her grandchildren no questions asked
in Lilibeth & Faye's verses, she lives in a mansion in Ohio, in SOWK she lives in the South of France and has a second home in Paris
her contact with Devon's children was severely limited until they got older and could maintain contact with her behind their father's back
Edgar Anderson ( Robert Redford ):
Truly the worst
Homophobic, racist, misogynistic, borderline christian fundamentalist
He just sucks so much like you don't even know I hate him so much
Disowned Mallory when she came out
Former Dalton boy
I hate him so much that's all there is to say I hate him
Catherine Arnoult ( Julie Andrews ):
Althea Anderson's best friend ( they're gal pals, your honour )
Her family are french aristocrats
moves in with Althea after she and Edgar divorce
As classy as they come but also has the greatest insults in the world, all of the Andersons want to be her when they're older
Devon Anderson ( Robert Downey Jr ):
Also the worst
Just like his father, homophobic, racist, misogynistic, shitty ass father
Republican politician (senator of Ohio)
Former Dalton boy
Foes not talk to his children except when it benefits his image
Pam Anderson ( Lea Salonga ):
Stay at home mom minus the mom part
Loves her son & step son, and daughter in Faye's verse, in SOWK she raised Aurora as her own despite not being her mom
But lets Devon push her around and call the shots
Virtually no relationship with her kids since Blaine & Aurora came out (not homophobic but Devon says no talking to them so she doesn't)
Not outright abusive like Devon but does nothing to stop him
Eleanor Anderson ( Angelina Jolie ):
Realized that Devon was a piece of shit and got out of there
Not close with her son but they do maintain contact and she always asks about his younger sibling/siblings
The best parent in that branch of the family
She wasn't ready to be a mom but Devon pressured her to marry and have kids
She left him when she found out he was having an affair with Pam
Mallory Anderson ( Sandra Bullock ):
TBD if she's exclusive to Lilibeth's verse or not I can't decide
Lesbian icon
The best of the Andersons by far
Came out as a lesbian the day of her UCLA graduation (after her father had paid for all of it)
Was disowned by her father and brother but stayed close with her mother
Lives in LA
in Lili's verse, she moves back to Ohio to help take care of her mom and the house when Althea moves into a retirement facility
She's just so cool also she yells at Schue a lot
Very close with her nephews (and nieces if she exists in Faye or Aurora's verses), Cooper comes over for family dinner once a week until moving back to Ohio
Could be a lawyer, tbd
Gloria Santos-Anderson ( Nicole Scherzinger ):
Also the coolest
Bisexual icon, 80s & 90s pop star
Now works either in music production or management, is known for always putting artists above profit
Very supportive of her daughter's music & vlogging career
Technically Lili's manager but in a "you have the natural talent for this I'm going to make sure no one fucks with you" way not insane stage mom way – she and Mallory never pushed Lili into doing this but wholeheartedly support her when she does
Cooper Anderson ( Matt Bomer ):
What a man tbh
Bisexual polyamorous disaster
Dalton alumni, was roommates (biblically) with his best friend Roman Kline
Now in a relationship with Roman & Ash Astor
Actor, mostly in indie projects and commercials but looking for his big break
Loves his younger sibling(s) but has not always been the best at showing it
Learned too much emotional absence from his father, he's working on it
The reason theatre kids have a bad rep
Blaine Anderson ( Darren Criss ):
How do I begin to explain Blaine Anderson?
Truly don't know what to say, we all know him
The real reason theatre kids have a bad rep
Disaster gay trying to pose as distinguished gay
Means well but also sometimes an idiot
Faye Anderson ( Vanessa Hudgens ):
Top student at Crawford Country
Lead soloist of her glee club
Was a boarding student at Crawford Country despite having a family house in Ohio because that would involve her parents having to actually come to Ohio
Really truly does not want to go to McKinley but her parents decide that if Blaine is so insistent on it then the twins can just live at home and both go to McKinley – she's very bitter
Her favourite instrument is the piano
She was almost kicked out of home when she came out, the only reason that she wasn't is because Devon was up for reelection and it would have looked bad
Aurora Anderson ( Kaylee Bryant ):
The girl the myth the legend
Everyone's favourite bi (except Kurt and Rachel)
Only girl at Dalton, Devon pulled a lot of strings to make it happen – not for her benefit but because Andersons go to Dalton
Her best friend is Nick Duvall and they dated briefly before he realized he was gay and they agreed that it felt like dating a sibling
Nearly died on her fourteenth birthday when she and Blaine were victims of a hate crime after their freshman year Sadie Hawkins dance, has severe PTSD as well as mental and physical disabilities & a collection of mental illnesses
Nine months younger than Blaine and should be a grade below but as far as the world knows, she's his twin – the only people who know the truth are the Warbler Inner Circle + Cooper, Roman, and Ash
Dalton fight club champion
Musical theatre nerd and also just a nerd in general
Her favourite movie is Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame
Everyone's baby sister
Lilibeth Anderson ( Olivia Rodrigo ):
Grew up in LA with her moms, moves to Ohio at the start of eighth grade (glee s2) not happy about it but she does love getting to see her grandmothers & Blaine
Very close with Cooper since Mallory insists on him coming to family dinners
Youtube vlogger & singer which was turning into a full blown career but it stalled big time when she moved to Ohio
Her grandmothers lived in the same home as Jean and she had become close with Jean before she died
Sue is a fan of her because of this, no one gets away with fucking with her at McKinley because of it
She starts as a freshman at McKinley in season 3 – Rachel can't stand her
Dates Ryder and it's very very bad for her, eventually she dumps him when he goes on his transphobic spiral towards Unique
Didn't plan on becoming a Cheerio but is dragged into it by Sue and is surprised to love it
Cooper is the one who helps her figure out how to revive her vlog & music career in Ohio

Welcome!
I invite you to join with me in devopling your own alone time with the Lord. Not just any devotional time, but something that may be new to you. I decided to create this new approach , quite by "accident".
Let's dive in!
You may be familiar with the concept of tithing, giving 10% for the work of the Gospel. But did you ever consider tithing your time?
I am awake around 1100 minutes a day, and a tithe of that is..."110 little minutes"
So, what's this 110 minute thing all about? I'm glad you asked! I had found recently that my prayer and study/ devotion time was sporadic at best, forgotten altogether too frequently. I wasn't too happy about that, but, as usual, I put it off until " later ".
Then, and not related whatsoever, I started to peruse YouTube for ideas on home, especially kitchen organization ideas. In doing so I came up on a channel called "frum it up".
It's produced by a woman/wife/mom/physician, living near Montreal Quebec. ( just a few hours and over the border from me).
What's even more intriguing was that she is Orthodox Separdic Jewish. Now I'm what C.S. Lewis would call a " mere" Christian . Yet her vlogs really captured my interest. She does have some really great posts about kitchen and home cleaning and organizing, and doing it without blowing one's budget. Then I started to watch her posts on cooking some outrageously delicious recipes, kosher of course. (my family has loved every single one I've prepared)
Wait! What on earth does this have to do with 110 little minutes?? That's coming right up!
One day, while binging on her channel I came across one episode that hit me, hit me hard. It challenged me, and quite honestly, put me to shame.
It was about her regular daily practice. She gets up early, like 5am before the sunrise, early, in order to start her day, uninterrupted, in prayer and reading Torah. This is a woman with 3 young children ( she calls them kiddos 🥰) She is also a full time physician with patients and ICU rounds. I'm no where near her in terms of a full schedule, yet she makes her prayer time top prority.
I took the information shared, and started to try to come up with a similar system. Next post I'll let you know what transpired and what it's done to me.
Until then, stay blessed in Jesus' name
DC

My faith based opinions that would have be arrested by chronically online christian bloggers are that you can be feminist and be a christian, that Christ wanted women to follow him and women have always worked outside of the home and it wasn’t unbiblical. That being a pro life feminist means that we ensure the safety of women and children. That also, if your “godly” husband thinks that you dying in childbirth or from any complications in your pregnancy is something he is ok with - you need to leave him. He is demonically possessed. Demonic possession isn’t always like in the movies, you have to listen and trust god when he is guiding you and telling you to be safe ie, our gift of fear. Also christian women need to stop consuming the content from this new wave of neo trad girls when all do is say they’re anti feminists and have a mostly male audience. It’s not spiritually enriching or productive. Our faith is not a trend. It used to be edgy “anti sjw atheists” making this content, now it’s “new age traditional conservatives” using our faith as an aesthetic. It’s false and it will change again to something else.
I think I’m just talking from experience because my little sister is consuming this type of content. She changed from the ‘anti feminist anti sjw atheist’ to a ‘crystal healing reiki student using astrology and essential oils for any injury’ to finally, the ‘anti women’s rights trad wife’ despite not even having a boyfriend. I’m engaged but I’ve gotten a lot of hurtful things told to me by for wearing pants and having a job. I really hope one day she sees that all these people she watches and follows online are either grifting for money or so chronically online that they’re mentally ill and aren’t participating in society. But having a relationship with God is eternal, it will never change because he will never change.
Yeah I never understood why Christians where so defensive against "Christian feminist" but had no issue with "Christian nationalists". I mean if you think feminism has no basis on the Bible because women have to be submissive, so does nationalism because we Christians are supposed to claim only one nation that is the kingdom of God. Same for the Christian conservatives who will mock queer/LGBT Christians over the fact that homosexuality is a sin and them making a whole personality/pride around their identity, when their are themselves building their entire personality around hating the self and entertaining a whole load of sin (violence, constantly cussing people, picking fights, etc.)
There was an AITA with a woman asking if she was the asshole for shutting down her husband to have a delivery at home and without painkillers just bc his mom & sisters did it. He argued it was the only for them to "respect her" I-
Maybe it's just me but I don't consider those trad pickme as actually Christian?? like to me, they are comedians larping as Christians. They are the Christianese washed version of the girl boss. There's nothing "soft Christian girl uwu" in putting out whole videos every day. That stuff is A LOT of work and logistics. What they won't tell you is that they also have a team (editing, copywriting, social media managers, etc) which doesn't fit with the "I don't want to join the workd force and stay at home all day uwu" narrative. Just bc you're not in an office doesn't mean you're not working nor help the corporate world running - especially by hiring people. As someone who's doing vlog on the low, unless filming /editing it all day, it's impossible to regularly update video (~weekly basis) without having a team. And since those women braf about taking care of their house and child this is unlikely they are in fact filming & editing all their videos by themselves.
IDK most of those girls come off as highkey deceptive, bored and just want to flex their lavish lifestyle. In a society when accesss to work is a privilege, not having to even work seems like a luxury. Those chicks are capitalizing off of it.
That being said, I love the irony of those "anti female rights" girls. They've been to school (isn't there a middle aged trad guru who tells girl to not pursue university when she herself has a PhD? 💀), most likely own a bank account, opened their social account without asking for any male permission, wear make up..... but they will swear up and down that females rights and feminism is pointless.... Yeaaah.
I'm 100% convinced most of the girls looking up this content will grow out of this phase though. That's why I'm not too bothered by that. This trend is just the natural consequences of the millenial #girlboss thing - the girls just want to rest for a while lol You can be that in ~10 years, the pendulum will come back in, and a whole new generation of girls who had witnessed the fall from grace of these trad redpill pickme (divorced, single mother, DV, etc.) will revive the girlboss thing as a defiance to the system responsible of that situation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Evangelical American Christianity in 2024 has about as much to do with anything the *real* Jesus advocated as...what these same people think the Constitution meant, 234 years ago.
Inb4, "ACTUALLY, DON'T YOU MEAN 248 YEARS AGO?"
They don't even know what year it was ratified. They think the Declaration of Independence is the Constitution. They don't even know about the Articles of Confederation. Probably because their mom didn't homeschool them about that, as she spent that $9,000 unregulated education voucher from the state government on new AV equipment for her family vlog channel.
Don't listen to these people. They literally do not know what they are talking about.
And certainly don't put them in charge of governments.

Sometimes I get recommendations about Gen z YouTubers who rant about millenials* and… idk man.
I get that there is (obviously) a very special brand of millenials that seem to be truly horrible human beings from what they post online (the videos cover topics like „stay-at-home-girlfriends“ and „boy-moms“ and a shit ton of child abuse from „family vlogs“ - which are definitely a problem, don’t get me wrong).
But it rubs me the wrong way how this is always framed as a problem of millenials, not as one of influencers. Maybe it’s even a thing that’s very specific to rich white heterosexual early in life married christian couples. Without conducting a study about this, well likely never know.
I also read the word „iPad kid“ too often while talking about the children of millenials, and idk if it is a real problem, that kids attention spans are shorter than before and their reading comprehension is worse than in the generations before (as in: there are different studies that put those things in relation and prove that is actually factually like this) or if this is just another „it’s the millenials fault“-thing, like all those things we are at fault for since like 2003.
* (their source is almost always only TikTok-Videos and I think I never saw one of them show a study that contextualizes what they show, and what they say seems to be more stream of consciousness than a really worked out essay, but media literacy and citing sources isn’t the point of this post)
#mine#I don’t have kids and I know why but#when I look at the parents I know i don’t feel like they’re bad parents?#if I compare them to like every gen x or boomer parent I had to put up with ever I would say they’re rather good parents?#is it because all parents I know are queer?#is this more of an American problem that’s told as a world wide thing?#just some thoughts#gen z#millennials#social media#parenting

I'm still kind of in a state of shock still.
One of the case studies I keep an eye on contracted covid, and there was a death.
I have what my fam refers to "Case studies". People that vlog and post videos on youtube, I monitor their VAL status and health. We track the covid spread like a weather forecast, predicting which geographic regions - states to counties within - by these individuals. I usually go with those I have firm understanding of which state they live in.
As predicted, the white demographic seemed immune or resistant to the covid spread in early 2020 and many reached the end of 2020 without reporting covid infection. A few of my case studies I anticipated and called a "covid infection", which is me declaring they have covid and then observing. I have a 65% accuracy rate, because each and every vlogger I anticipated to contract covid, came forward with a "covid story" and talked about their experience. All of these vloggers were white - but given the disproportionately effects of a covid infection between white and poc, the poc demography likely took essential precautions to insure none infection.
I've made a lot of hypotheticals and assessments based on virology and biological comprehension, through how the immune response behaves under distress or to the initial threat based on how the body behaves on studied and current viruses - rabies, HIV, meningitis, ebola - these are a sample of my reference sheet. Viruses have simple behavior patterns - infect, replicate, eat, spread. They need host cells to replicate, which destroys the host cell and makes it incapable or fulfilling its functions for the body.
Today, with the wave of delta, I am seeing so many of our current case studies contract the delta variant. And become very sick. And one of my case studies, I have an extensive list of their VALs (values, attitudes, lifestyle), insisted it was the flu. The couple was very religious, qAnon believes, their fan base was swamped with qAnon supporters and overt christian/evangelic believers. Not vaccinated.
The partner was not high risk, retired, devoted religious. The partner did not last a week.
I've had a theory, not a new one but it pertains to delta as well. That covid does not grant immunity or antibodies to some individuals, or in the least will not grant reliable antibodies. This is based on individuals immune competency. But I have a theory that those that contracted covid, may be more susceptible to the delta variant.
And on that, I've mentioned it could take months, even years to recover fully from a covid infection. This sounds extreme or a dramatic assessment, but covid is not a flu bug, it is viremia. It damages the blood tissue, and purging viral presence from the vascular tract can be extremely difficult. That is why the vaccine is so critical to those that are long-haulers or have persisting symptoms. They may have viral presence persisting.
That was really my only fear when the vaccines were available to the public. Would long-haulers or those with previous covid infection have a relapse? Or would the vaccine trigger a reaction from the immune system.
Turned out, they were fine. Better when they got the vaccine. The vaccine didn't cure them, but it benefitted their health. Likely triggered their immune response to create antibodies that could deal with the infection. Time will tell how long it takes an extent of that infection to allow them a full recovery.
And now we are receiving these reports of these conservative radio voices, anti-vaxx, contracting delta and dying. As it was pointed out, faux news anchors and staff are ALL vaxxinated. These people, the anti-vaxx, are dying for a lie.
Really, there are still people out here "i DOnT knOW wHAts iN The VaCCinE, I wOnT pUt THaT iN My BoDy"
So you'll invite this completely unstable, feral, viremia virus into your blood to melt your lungs, give you liver failure, because nicki meningitis said her sisters cousins best-friend, heard through a crack in the wall from this guy in the bakery, that someone's fiancé got swol balls from a side-effect to the vaccine?
My mom and I, she's a retired nurse btw, we were reviewing reports from medical staff and the EMTs looking after the ones that fell into covid shock from delta. Their lungs developing pulmonay fibrosis, basically the lungs rot to death and fail. She said it's like ebola.
Delta a very aggressive and replicates at a much higher rate than covid original. As such, it's incubation prior to presented symptoms is a much short elapse, a week. A week. I can identify covid in someone a month in advance, because covid original has ot a very distinct time period before someone falls into covid shock. I can primarily identify those who are 'asymptomatic' - basically, anyone who has contracted covid original WILL present some symptom, that is why I refer to the healthy carrier as a myth.
Basically, a lot of white people contracted covid original but were not aware, and either fell into covid shock (presented symptoms) or their immune response was adequate enough they didn't realize they were ever sick, IF viable antibodies produced.
Delta doesn't do this. You get sick with it, YOU GET SICK.
So what we have right now, from my case studies, is we got a lot of white people who thought that the virus wasn't real or wouldn't infect them, either because they are healthy or low risk, or they already had a covid original.
But delta, for those not primed or unvaccinated, it absolutely destroys them. So many of these healthy people have gotten sick, most have made a recovery because they were actually healthy and had a legitimate immunity response to the delta before it overwhelmed them completely.
But so many of these people believe "I'm healthy and my immune system is good." Those really are not factors here. It DOES NOT MATTER how healthy you are or your immunity history with other viruses. Delta is a different variant, it is aggressive, volatile, and very hungry.
The life cycle of a virus, by a hypothetical example, demands that a strong and successful pathogen must alter itself - evolve - at least five times every six months. Every six months, because that is when we have classes resume, companies higher fresh staff or interns from college, people move and carry variants to new areas, where they begin to mingle and spread with a new population. Of the five variants that are produced, only one or two might be viable as replicators. The others die out due to insufficient population density, where they feed and grow, and thus build momentum.
As in the case of the delta variant. It is only highly successful as a spreader, because it is intentionally spread, and has a relatively wide window of movement before it's host becomes incapacitated. Due to misconceptions that the covid is a case of flu, or individuals have immunity after contracting covid original, the severity of the delta is dismissed. Usually in the case of the white demograph case studies.
So going on with this "I dOnT NeED vaCINnes iN Me," is absolute suicide. Unless for a legitimate medical reason your doctor is cautioning you about, you need to get vaccinated. The delta is dangerous and it is going to survive, and it will use you to do so. And when it is done with you, your body can no longer replicate its children, it will kill you.
And when it runs out of one food source, it will evolve and move on to the next. Right now there can be a new variant testing the waters for its infection rate, but we won't see it, not until February of the 2022.
I don't have sympathy for these people, but in a way I pity them. To be so disconnected from the world and our society, so defiant and assured of their immortality. All these people, like hannity, fucker calrson, mayo failor gangreene, THEY ARE VACCINATED. And they are fighting against vaccine mandates, or telling people "you don't need the vaccine. The Dems are trying to control you. The vaccine is bad."
They are misleading stupid, gullible, idiots that will gargle iodine or huff oxyclean. And I don't care. They are stupid worthless people, so hellbent on their religion and god saving them, they'll kill their own children to get into the fabled paradise. And they've fallen for these con people, praise them as their prophets. It's just so pathetic. I'm so tired of these news segments - "Guess wo got covid today!"
Probably a true believer with a saune hannity shrine.
They don't have to die. I am so tired of hearing how "stupid person died because anti-vaxx". It's pitiful. All it is now, is a waiting game. We can argue about vaccines and covid all day, but in the end, delta will be laughing in your lungs.

Movies I watched in February
fyi, I have zero knowledge on how to professionally rate or review a movie. I am not gonna pay attention to every little detail. these rating are simply based on how much I enjoyed/liked the movie

Avengers Age of Ultron
Songbird
Star Trek
Step up all in
Project Almanac
Ant Man
Space Sweepers
Christiane F.
Jurassic World

6.5/10
2. unhinged
After a confrontation with an unstable man at an intersection, a woman becomes becomes the target of his rage.
starring: Russel Crowe, Caren Pistorius, Gabriel Batemen
hm idk, I didn’t really like it, my sister didn’t really like it but my mom did, I think. it just seemed so, no overdramatic but just too much in a way
3/10
3. in time
In a future where people stop aging after 25 and need to buy time to live, the rich become immortal while others cease to exist. So, Will is on the run with a hostage in a desperate bid to survive.

starring: Robert Downy Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johanson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany
hell yes, one of my favourite marvel movies. Wanda and Pietro.. Hawkeye.. all the little jokes throughout the entire movie and of course the scene where everyone tries to lift thor’s hammer, what’s not to love about this movie
10/10
5. songbird
In 2024 a pandemic ravages the world and it’s cities. Centering a handful of people as they naviagete the obstacles currently hindering society: disease, marital law, quarantine, and vigilantes.
starring: K.J. Apa, Sofia Carson, Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stromare, Alexandra Daddario, Craig Robinson
I really enjoyed watching this. yeah sure, the ending was obvious but I was still glued to the screen. I also felt super weird watching this, kinda surreal because we are basically living a more harmless version of this rn. I really liked seeing sofia carson in such a movie, I’ve only seen her in the descendants so this was a bit of a change haha. I’m not that big of a fan of kj but he was great as well and i really loved his characters style.
7/10
6. star trek
The brash James T. Kirk tries to live up to his father’s legacy with Mr. Spock keeping him in check as a vengeful Romulan from the future creates black holes to destroy the Federation one planet at a time.
starring: Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Carl Urban, Eric Bana, Bruce Greenwood, Zoe Zaldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin
I put it on because I wanted to have some background noise while playing sims but I ended up playing like 20 minutes and then just watching the movie haha I forgot how good it was, and the others as well, aaand I totally forgot carl urban was in it, so that was a little surprise. anyways, can recommend watching them if you’re into sci-fi action movies but at the same time, if you’re into that I’m pretty sure you’ve already watched them.
7.5/10
bonus: I also watched star trek beyond the other day but this time I was barely paying attention so I can't really say too much, but it's also quite good👍🏻
7. step up all in
All-stars from the previous Step up installments come together in glittering Las Vegas, battling for a victory that could define their dreams and their careers.
starring: Ryan Guzman, Briana Evigan, Adam Sevani, Misha Gabriel Hamilton, Sephen Stevo Jones, David Schreibman, Mari Koda, Alyson Stoner, Izabella Miko
definetly one of my favourite dance movies. highly recommend it!! I’d like it more without the romancde but it’s fine, I guess, I can live with it haha and the last performance... wow just wow that’s all I can say to that. y’all go watch it
9/10
8. project almanac
A group of teens discover secret plans of a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control.
starring: Jonny Weston, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Sam Lerner, Allen Evangelista, Virginia Gardner
okay... I did enjoy watching it! the beginning was a little slow imo but then it just got more and more intense which was kinda nice. god, at some point the main guy kept making the wrong decisions and that was very frustrating to watch. the ending was alright, spoiler ahead (I guess) I would have liked the ending more if it was the exact same as the beginning, meaning that the movie is just one big time loop and the events from the movie were about to repeat themselves. but that's just my opinion🤷🏻♀️
6.5/10
9. ant man
Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his Mentor Dr. Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
starring: Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, Bobby Cannavale, David Dastmalchian, T.I.
another one of my favorite mcu movies. it's just fun and easy and doesn't have a lot of pain in it. the giant ant it's my favorite part haha I want it as a pet
9/10
10. space sweepers
Set in the year 2092 and follows the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory. When they discover a humanoid robot named Dorothy that's known to be a weapon of mass destruction, they get involved in a risky business deal.
starring: Song Joong-Kim, Kim Tae-ri, Seon-kyu Jin, Hyang-gi Kim, Richard Armitage, Ye-Rin Park
I really loved this movie. I cried like 6 times haha, which came unexpected. (or maybe it's because I'm suppose to get my period any day now) I did not think I was going to enjoy this movie as much as I did, at all. it was fun, it was exciting, it was sad (even my dad said that) the plot was good, the visual effects were amazing, it did feel like I was watching this movie for like 5 hours but not in a bad way and I am now kinda emotionally attached to the characters haha (I might do a rewatch). another thing I really liked was the language/synchronization. in the original version they speak mostly korean and english but also some other languages and it's the same in the synchronizations. the dialogue of the main characters is in the language you pick but every other character (I guess) is a different language and I absolutely love that. I highly recommend watching this!!
also, its was super weird seeing Richard Armitage not as a dwarf hahaha
10/10
11. christiane f.
A teen girl in 1970's Berlin becomes addicted to heroin. Everything in her life slowly begins to distort and disappear as she befriends a small crew of junkies and falls in love with a drug-abusing male prostitute.
starring: Natja Brunckhorst, Thomas Haustein, Jens Kuphal, Christiane Reichelt
I binged the series the other day and after the last episode this movie was in the "watch next" thingy idk and I thought "well, why not" and watched it. good movie, definitely!! I really liked that they didn't show the highs of doing heroin but focused on the negative effects it has on someone and what it's doing to your body. it is a super realistic but very very dark movie. the actors were all about 15/16 years old and looked very young which was a good and kinda disturbing thing because christiane and her friend were like 13/14 when that all happened and it made you realise that there were kids doing all that stuff
9/10
12. jurrasic world
A new theme park, built on the original site of Jurassic Park, creates a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, which escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.
starring: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio
13. jurassic world fallen kingdom
When the island's dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.
starring: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Isabella Sermon
I am tired and don't really want to say all that much other than both of them are very good and I do like them. good action/adventure movies. can definitely recommend them. I definitely like the first one more because it feels like (just a little bit) that the main story in the second one is the same as in the first one, someone creates a new dinosaur species to make more money and something goes terribly wrong along the way. but it's still entertaining!
jurassic wolrd: 7.5/10
jurassic world fallen kingdom: 7/10
