This is how I realize that Armand was really in it for Lestat, huh.

Santiago and friends brought Lestat in and wrote the play. I never totally bought that Armand agreed to go along with their plan *just* to be accepted by the coven again. But now that Lestat was there before him in the flesh... IDK exactly what transpired between Armand and Lestat leading up to the trial, but maybe ultimately Armand saw the trial as a way to both get back at Lestat (for leaving him) and also win Lestat back (he'll have nothing else but me).

And that is why Armand let his coven destroy Lestat's coven.

Went to the bookstore today and asked about their mythology section and this frickin guy had the gall to be like "Yeah it's over here, but these are really dense and difficult so let me show you the children's mythology section." I was so baffled I didn't say anything. Normally I would've been very offended, but I couldn't help but laugh because I was like "I've been reading those massive textbook-esque mythology books since I was a literal child as research for my novel, sir. But sure, show me the kid's section, I like reading kids' books too."

am probably like the only person who has this hc but like i love the idea that half ghosts dont have obsessions (in the traditional sense) like ghosts dont have that choice its like something theyre compelled to do regardless of rational but also because without an obsession there’s nothing anchoring them down to the physical realm.

but half ghosts are already anchored via human body so no need for an obsession. something about the humanity of half ghosts giving them a choice, like thats why they aren’t as focused on a theme like say the lunch lady or the box ghost or ember. like they have the agency to be whatever the hell they want do whatever they want.

plus the theme of choice with vlad and danny as foils bc theyre similar but vlad chose to be an absolute dipshit while danny ultimately chose to save others its just more satisfying than when both are effectively forced to act out the hero villain role

Viserys like other Targaryens possesses lingual dexterity and does speak High Valyrian, however, we do not ever see him use it -- so my portion of HC is that the death of Balerion plays a significant role here; he hardly ever used it bc the Black Dread was the last one to hear dragonlord's language and the wound is still fresh to him. After many battles and with fading life force in Balerion's eyes, Viserys could not ask more of him - so, the last King did not lead him to conquer but finally allowed him to retire as deserved in peace; it was the last ride ( to the afterlife ) in exchange for ( selfish ) acknowledgment and personally, for Viserys it was a very sad exchange he emotionally still has to recover from, thus, why he never bonded with another Dragon. Wolves and Swans have one mate per life ... bond of a Dragon and his Dragonlord be it long-lasting or temporary should not be taken lightly.
