bestie I had things to do today. now I'm just thinking of feeding those big mfs with the full intention of bulking them up. with my cooking/baking skills it would not take long. (Source: friends with strongman types and do this for them willingly)

GOD them coming to you after their workout still dripping in sweat and telling you how good the place smells. Sitting together at the table and demolishing the whole spread you put out, moaning around their forks and lavishing you with praise. Watching them sink back into their seats with clean plates and hands resting over distended stomachs, wide smiles on their sleepy faces.

It's flattering how much they love your cooking. The praise, the adoration, the way they get a little sheepish asking if there's enough for second. The answer is always yes, you take good care to make enough to feed your personal army, but desert comes before seconds. It's tradition, and the cheesecake you'd made is sitting pretty in the fridge just for them.

Second tradition is that they help you clean, which is all the motivation you need to keep up this labor of love (as if the love wasn't enough). And it's not that your kitchen is the size of a broom closet or anything, but with all of them crammed in that space you're better off sitting back and admiring them work. Washing the dishes, wiping the counters, sweeping the floor. They brush and bump against each other the whole time, the ensuing and inevitable shoving match usually leading them to your couch, where they once again make the place look like a doll house.

They spread out on it like oversized dogs, leaving just enough room for you to squeeze in between. Everyone shuffles around until you're perfectly surrounded, keeping at least one hand on you at all times. Rubbing your feet, massaging your hand, stroking over your back until the combination of the heat, your full stomach and the soothing touches puts you to sleep. The hum of their quiet talking mistaken for the TV nobody bothered to turn on.

I know I complain about Bones' habit lately of barely animating certain scenes(and i am gonna continue to if i see the need or if i have to vent abt the opinion) but like I am going to really be feral if the part where Katsuki catches Izuku when he faints is one of those static "screencap" moments with no animation put in.

Like I can see it now, they show a moving image of the water splashing as Katsuki runs forward(but no katsuki himself) and then cut immediately to an unmoving, 1 to 1 replication of that manga panel, with the only motion there being mouth flaps and maybe the movement of Izukus cape.

No, I want to FEEL the weight of Izuku falling forward like a sack of potatoes. I want to see Katsuki literally CATCHING that weight. His body and grasp reacting to it. The care as he adjusts to the weight and holds izuku steady, paired with the soft, tired, and SO CARING "I Know/we know" as he holds him, Izuku PASSING OUT in his arms. Maybe throw in some extra care with Katsukis hands shifting to best support Izuku. MAYBE A CLOSE UP ON SOFT BAKUGOUS EXPRESSION as he holds Izuku, if Bones is feeling extra generous!

This of course goes without saying, but the rest of the UA retrieving Deku arc NEEDS TO BE ON POINT. Honestly, it is one of the best parts of the series and it deserves SO MUCH. But so does Katsukis entire apology moment in this arc! It has a special spot of importance and please Bones, all I want is ANIMATION. I just want the emotional and physical WEIGHT of these moments.

to those who feel like Hades should’ve been more ‘godlike’ to put it in book!Percy’s words, i understand where you’re coming from.

however, in this case i would like to remind you the book is almost two decades old and Rick has grown as a writer and an interpreter of mythology.

when re-reading TLT there are a lot of… i wouldn’t say ‘old fashioned’ maybe contrived? or just a very specific way certain gods or monsters are shown. for ex: when talking about hephaestus, the book says zeus threw him off olympus as a baby when it’s well known it was hera. (granted future books do fix this error) medusa is all about revenge, hades is scary and big and imposing, he’s talked about being ruthless and punishing.

when it comes to the stories, it was hera that kicked her baby off a mountain. medusa doesn’t do anything, it’s other people coming over and bothering her and getting turned to stone until someone cuts her head off. it’s persephone that was known to deliver the cruel punishments than her husband.

how many times has hades been shown as the villain in every loose adaptation of whatever greek myth someone does? where he’s shown as jealous and bitter? even the book and show make an attempt at it but they know better, it’s a great misdirect because the audience would expect hades to be the bad guy right? when actually, it’s mentioned that hades was fine with his kingdom. he’s got his job, he’s got his dog, he’s got his girl (for 1/3 of each year) so yeah i liked this version better than the books.
