ok so first off

this baby boy has some issues, just a fair warning

like, abandonment, self-esteem, trust issues

so it’ll take a hot minute before he really opens up to you romantically

he’d probably catch feelings for you pretty quickly and easily though

he’s just insistent on not wanting to possibly wreck the friendship you guys had

but eventually he’d confess and life would go on :))

for nicknames he’d probably just call you things like baby, sweetheart, darling, or princess/prince

if you’re a bossy type of person he’d probably jokingly call you ma’am or sir

he wouldn’t flirt with you before dating, but when you two are officially a thing he likes teasing you 

he was easily flustered by you or anything you might’ve said to him before the relationship, but now that he knows you like him he pulls out all the stops (he always has the smuggest expression on his face during times like these)

he loves when you flirt back too

it’s like a fun little game to see who can break first between the two of you

he’s very much touch-starved

it takes him a while to open up to you physically but once he does he really can’t get enough

in private he always wants to be touching you in some way or form

Treasure Planet X Wings of Fire

Here’s some smaller screenshots with movie screenshots in them as well. Keep in mind I drew all of this after the watching movie I wasn’t really using references so it’s not like they’re a bajillion percent accurate

I drew all of this while listening to Epic the musical, and it was on the last song for Mr Arrow and bones, which is why they aren’t the same detail

[ID: (in order of the singular images) 6 wings of Fire dragon references and two headshots, all digitally sketched in a red pencil-like brush. Each dragon is heavily referenced off some characters from the show Treasure Planet. Bedside each dragon is written the character they’re based on and the Wof tribe the dragon design is also based on. Each singular image has the dragon, it’s info, and an image of the character it’s based on.

The first dragon is a heavy set MudWing based on John Silver. His right legs and wing are mechanical, heavily based on the cyborg parts of the movie character. His wings are semi spread, held above him but curved so that they aren’t fully spread. He wears a captains hat that looks small on his head and has a large tail that has a scarred end, as if it were cut off at the very end. A small hoop earring is on his short ear, and his horns seem to have been sawed off halfway, given a flat cap over the end of them.

The second is a much thinner and lankier dragon based on Captain Amelia. She is listed as a hybrid of an icewing and a sandwing. Her wings are folded at her sides, showing off the frill had follows along her spine. It breaks apart in some areas, becoming small quills behind her head and neck and on the end of her tail. Her head is thinner, with sharp ears perked upward. A larger captains hat stands on her head.

The third dragon is another Mudwing based on Dr. Delbert Doppler. He is dwarfed by Silver, despite being the same tribe. His stance is less wide than Silver, though he also has a blockier head and shape. his wings are semi folded in the same way, though tilted a little upward. He has small glasses on his face and darker spikes and horns along his face and the back of his neck. Ears are rounded and folded over halfway.

The fourth image has two dragons which seem to be arguing. Furthest from the screen is a huge but lanky Sandwing. Based on the antagonist Mr. Scroop. His wings are outspread and the membranes are shown to be in tatters. A talon is outstretched toward the screen, curled like he were preparing to hit the smaller dragon in front of him. His face is thin but showing a wicked snarl, long horns jutting outwards opposite of his snout. A spiky frill lines the back of his head and down his spine. His ribcage is a pronounced shape, not in the way that he’s starving but to show how thin and lanky he is. His tail curls behind his feet and points its scorpion like barb directly at the chin of the other dragon. The other dragon is nearly half his height, facing toward Scroop and away from the screen, face in an open snarl with his ears pinned backwards. He is a Nightwing Skying hybrid based on the protagonist, Jim Hawkins. His wings are touching the grounds at his sides and the ends folded upwards. Spikes line his spine from neck to tail, which curls around him like it was mid-flick.

The fifth image is a side profile headshot of an old and thin looking Seawing based on the old and dying character, Bones. He has an underbite, large webbed frills along his head and spine, and catfish-like whiskers on his chin. small sharp teeth are visible on his closed mouth, and his horns look to be broken off.

The sixth image is a 3/4ths headshot of a thicker Nightwing with a wide nose and chin based on Mr. Arrow. His face his scrunched in what looks like a grimace. He has short but big horns, and spikes that stick out from his spine along his neck. A thick captains hat sits on his head.

The final image is a full body reference of a robot made to look like a rainwing. He is based on B.E.N. He is 3/4ths facing the screen in a sitting position, with a wide mouth open in a grin. Mechanical frills on either side of his head are open wide. His winds are semi open and pointed outward on either side, showing that they have minimal ‘membrane’ as if he wasn’t built for flying. His chest has a circle in it, which resembles the broken compass the character has in his own chest.

a/n: this is set post voyage, and was inspired by Fine Line

Resting his head on your shoulder, Jim takes a slow deep breath as he relaxes against you. You feel his shoulders shake a little as he lets out a soft chuckle under his breath. His hands wrap around your middle and he pulls you in closer, locking you in a wholehearted embrace as if this was the last time he ever would. He’s so close that you can almost feel the subtle beat of his heart against your chest.

You can tell by the way that he buries his face into your shoulder and takes a slow deep breath that he’s on the brink of crying. Tears of your own begin to well up in your eyes as you return the gesture, wrapping your arms around him and giving him a gentle squeeze as you lean your head on him.

It’s perfect. As if you were made to hold each other, fitting in each other’s arms like lock and key. Part of you wanted to spend the rest of forever here.

Just as the thought crosses your mind, you hear a muffled sniff come from Jim as he begins to raise his head and slowly pull back. Not completely, just enough so you can look at him.

“It’s gonna be okay,” Jim says softly, reaching down and taking one of your hands in his. As he presses the back of your hand to his lips, you can’t help but let out a tearful giggle. Deep down, you know he’s partially telling himself that.

You know Jim loves you, and he knows you love him too. But he has confided in you about his anxieties and fears before, that something would happen out of your control, that would take one of you away from the other, or that you might wind up falling apart the way his parents did. A dozen and a half different ways your relationship could go wrong.

But now, those fears seem to have washed away with the tide, and in their place was a newfound courage in himself as he holds your hand against his chest and leans in closer so his forehead touches your own.

“We’ll be alright.” Jim whispers, as certain of that as the sunrise, tears rolling down his cheeks as he leans in closer until pressing his lips against yours.

Jim isn’t sure what he could have done to deserve this, but dammit if he isn’t grateful for it. And now, all he wants it to be close to the light that is you, to feel the loving warmth of your soul in the simplest of gestures. And now, he has the faith in himself to do this right.

(A/N: So this was supposed to be an imagine and then I kept typing on my phone. Reader confronts Jim about Morph continuously hiding in their stuff.

Returning to the Inn, you searched for your friend as the early evening had many a guest hungry for a meal. You weren't suppose to be one of them.

If only you had noticed the little extra weight on your bag earlier. If you had been more observant. You would had saved a lot of time. Distance too.

A happy gurgle tickled your ear as a familiar pink creature became level with your eyeline.

"Morph," you gave him a pointed look. Nothing too harsh, but enough to let him know that you were serious.

He happily nudged your cheek.

"It's a good thing you're cute too." Sighing, you made your way between the tables.

Sarah, Jim's mom, didn't get the opportunity to question your reappearance. Too busy handing out dinner to a full table. The Inn was ever popular.

Giving her a short wave, you pointed to your tiny companion.

She shook her head, amused, then continued serving meals.

You made your way into the kitchen. An easy feat considering how often you had frequented the place. More so it seemed in the past few months.

The young man you had been needing to speak to was elbow deep into dirty dishes. Always one to help his mother and the Inn.

"Hi again," you said and stood off to the side.

"Hey." Jim grinned. Blue eyes took you in before catching Morph flying towards him. "Did you forget something?"

"No." You patted your bag. "But Morph was pretending to be my notebook."

"He was in your bag again?"

"This is the third time this week." You leaned against the counter.

"Morph doesn't do it to annoy you. He wants to play." Jim pet the little creature lovingly. "He likes you."

You smiled and responded, "He likes me, so he hides in my bag until I either reach for something or I'm home?"

His eyes widened. "You took him home?"

You nodded.

"Morph."

The little guy looked up at Jim innocently.

"Did you go home with them?"

He chirped an affirmative.

Looking back to you, Jim opened his mouth to say something, but Morph twisted into a miniature version of Jim.

You chuckled and peered closer.

Morph was either pretending or playing out a scene. You couldn't tell which. Yet he played off as if Jim was ordering Morph to an assignment.

"Cute," you laughed lightly.

Then he morphed into a version of you.

Jim quickly closed Morph between his hands.

"Okay!" His voice had raised a moment. "Enough playing around, Morph. There are customers out there waiting. Can you help out?"

"Jim."

Ushering Morph to grab a brush, Jim apologized to you quickly and grabbed some soap as he turned back to the sink. Eyes focused and eyebrows shaped into that determined curve of his.

It wasn't difficult to see he was trying to hide something.

You walked over to him and started helping. Rinsing plates and bowls. The only way to be closer without stopping business.

"Jim, have you been telling Morph to check on me?"

He didn't meet your curious gaze nor did he answer right away.

"Because...Morph was staring at me wherever I went when I was home. All big-eyed. Close too."

Passing a plate to you, Jim's shoulders were raised to his ears. Uncomfortable and concerned.

"Jim... It's okay."

Blue eyes finally met your gaze.

"You're not mad?"

"No. I'm assuming he was just looking out for me, right? Or is it something else? Have I done something?"

"What? No, no, no. You haven't done anything. I just--." He sighed heavily. "You're my best friend. It's just... Remember when that heavy rainstorm came in earlier this week?"

"I was soaked. Yeah."

"It made me remember a few things...from before finding Treasure Planet and... I wanted to be extra sure you were alright. I mean, I didn't expect Morph here to actually follow you all the way home."

In the sink, Morph popped a soap bubble in his mouth.

"I was worried that something might happen if you left later than usual. Strange things happen."

"Jim, the chances of me running into pirates are pretty slim; even out here. I promise I'll be fine or else I'll kick butt with no mercy."

A chuckle escaped him. "I think I can live with that. You've taught me a thing or two."

"And for your next lesson," you grabbed a group of bubbles, "duck."

Found this while doing some digital spring cleaning: an abandoned animation idea for Treasure Planet’s 20th birthday! I ended up going with a much simpler animation because I just didn’t have the time, but I’m surprised to find that I still like these bones!

Also wasn’t expecting to get jumpscared by Bobby Driscoll but I am not opposed - Give me that nostalgia!

I’ve also been watching too much Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure cause the 3D versions of Raps and Eugene threw me slightly 😂

This was amazing and made me want House of Mouse back! Please for love of God put it on Disney+
