Easter Egg Nest Cake for the Nigella Cookalong. It’s a flourless chocolate cake, after rising it up, quickly cooling it down in the cake form, so it collapses and creates a crater. It is filled with a chocolate cream before decorating with the eggs. The harder bits are to get the consistency right with the eggs and do not burn the chocolate, but the recipe had good descriptions. We decorated it with coconut flakes for the nest cover and creme covered dried strawberries for the eggs (I found TruFru’s the tastiest).

Melty chocolate filling!
Ichika did as she said she would and used the leftover dough for more cookies, this time with a melty chocolate filling! It looks so delicious to see the chocolate seep out from the middle of the cookie and onto the plate a little. They taste best when cooled enough to handle but warm enough for the chocolate to still be melted!
The plate of the extra cookies that Ichika made just here, you can see they're kinda more lumpy than the previous batch due to the filling - still have white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chunks though.
And the delicious melty chocolate center in the middle. So tasty, I'm getting fired up! I'm gonna have to have us make more of these in the future, they disappear dangerously fast.

is ungrateful the word to use when you were expecting a grocery store cake for your birthday because grocery store cake is delicious but instead your family wanted to do something "special" and ordered a custom decorated cake which wad a very cute cake but it's your least favourite kind of cake almost the exact opposite of your favourite kind of cake, and you know they spent 5x the amount of money on a special cake instead of a generic grocery store one but you would have been 100000x happier with a grocery store one and now you don't wanna make them feel bad bit you almost gagged when you ate your cake
#they got my brother a grocery store cake#and i ate almost the whole damn thing#this one will be in the freezer for a while#they got me a chocolate cake which is almost 90% filling#chocolate filling#which is my least favourite kind of filling#i love vanilla cake with fruit and vanilla filling#which is what most grocery store cakes are here#i always talk about how much i love vanilla cake and don't like chocolate cake#i ate the whole damn cake last time#to be loved is to be seen#and my family does not look my way#i hope my brother doesn't feel left out#because my mom mentioned in front of him how she forgot to buy him a cake til the last minute#but somehow managed to remember for me??#he should have gotten a better cake
