SVSSS AU ... Benevolent System 0.1
related to -> [THIS] Shen Yuan art and -> [THIS] bit

“Dumbf*ck author, dumbf*ck novel!” Shen Yuan spits; a final curse as his vision goes black.
Shen Yuan, our veteran web novel enthusiast, is an interesting one. He’s the third son, and second youngest of his ultra-wealthy parents’ four kids. Some would take a glance at him and immediately peg him as a fuerdai, but Shen Yuan is more than that. Albeit fairly unhealthy his whole life—we won’t bore you, dear reader, with the details of his illnesses—he still managed to graduate from Tsinghua University with a degree in Chinese language studies and a minor in modern literature, work as a freelance editor, and somehow become a published novelist. Mind, Shen Yuan doesn’t think much of his published works, the reason for that being that one of his first clients was so testy over his editors’ notes on the draft that he’d cursed Shen Yuan and left the final remark: “Well if it’s so easy to write a book, why don’t you do it?!” Shen Yuan had taken that personally, and so like the millennial he was, Shen Yuan replied “Bet,” and did it—the resulting product becoming award winning, much to his disgruntlement; he has book deals now, goddamnit.
(Unbeknownst to Shen Yuan, his work is considered high brow. People dissect his work in literature classes alongside other classics, like Xu Yun or even Haruki Murakami. People think he’s reclusive and brooding, like J.D. Salinger or Thomas Pynchon—he’s not, he’s just an antisocial hermit who drowns himself in his editing work and trashy web novels to de-stress—and his published works are deep, reflecting on the human condition. Of course, this is an accident. Shen Yuan genuinely does not realize it is actually considered tragic, or even when his books are super homoerotic. Shen Yuan is lauded by the literary community as a modern genius, but the man himself just likes to ignore his own work approximately ninety percent of the time.)
Shen Yuan, published author, was an upstanding millennial—having properly purchased the Zhongdian’s VIP currency to read the novel’s official version—who found himself forcing his way to the end of this gargantuan novel, only to be met with utter disappointment. This novel was so stallion, so money-grubbing, and so overly padded that it left him feeling speechless with rage. How could he not curse Proud Immortal Demon Way, by Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky—just looking at that euphemistic handle smacked you in the face with the dirty-feeling. Grade-school-level writing with land mines everywhere, breaking also suspension of disbelief and Shen Yuan couldn't bear to call that incoherent, massive world the author had built a xianxia setting. What kind of xianxia setting had people using horses and carriages all day? What kind of xianxia setting had people who after achieving inedia still needed to eat and sleep? What kind of cultivation world had an author who occasionally mixed up even the Stages of Foundation Establishment and Nascent Soul!? When faced with the protagonist, every single character completely lost their IQ points, especially Shen Qingqiu! That idiot among idiots, scum amongst scum! His only purpose was to dig his own grave and he hadn't even managed to finish before he was killed by the protagonist instead!!
So why, despite all this rage and frustration, had Shen Yuan started this web novel—even going so far as to read it to the very end?
Don't misunderstand, Shen Yuan didn't enjoy degrading himself. The reason he had persisted was also what had caused him the most frustration. Despite his many grievances, this novel actually had an incredible amount of foreshadowing, plot lines everywhere, mystery after mystery, layer upon layer of red herrings, incredible monsters—all of which intrigued and enticed. Yet at the end, not a single one of the many plot hook opportunities paid off! It was enough to make him want to spit blood!
Why were priceless herbs, spirit elixirs, and Peerless Beauties everywhere like they didn't cost a cent!? Why were the villains speeches and poses as they dug their graves and got offed all exactly the same!? The dozens of maidens, barely glimpsed, all of whom agreed to enter the Harem: what happened to them!? All right, skipping that last one for the moment… Who, exactly, had been the culprit behind the scores of atrocities? What was the purpose of the unending list of characters so hyped up for being awesome and without equal? Why did none of them make an appearance!? Even at the very end, Airplane-bro, Great Master: Can we have a discussion!? Fill! In! Plot! Holes! Okay!?
Shen Yuan feels like he could come back to life with the power of sheer rage fueling him.
In the endless darkness, a mechanical voice sounds out by his ear.
《 {ACTIVATION CODE} ["Dumbfuck author, Dumbfuck novel"] Automatically triggered. 》
The tone reminded him of Google translate. Who is this? Shen Yuan thinks to himself, looking around. He realizes he’s standing—or, hovering?—in a virtual space, one so dark that he couldn't see his hand before him.
The voice came from all directions.
《 Welcome to THE SYSTEM. This System operates in line with the design concept: [“YOU CAN, YOU UP. NO CAN, NO BB.”] 》
《 We hope to provide you with the best possible experience. It is our sincere wish that during your time, you can fulfill your desires and in accordance with your wish, transform a stupid work into a magnificent high quality first-rate classic. We hope you enjoy. 》
“Whoa, wait! Hold on for a second, System!” Shen Yuan screams, as a crushing sensation crashes over him like a tidal wave. “Fuck!”
《 {ERROR.500} Troubleshooting… 》
“What the fuck does that mean?!” Shen Yuan cries. He can’t see himself, but god does he hurt! What the hell is happening!?
《 … 》
《 {ERROR.500} Unexpected Condition encountered. 》
《 {ERROR.8024} [Host: SHEN YUAN] unable to be placed into [Scum Villian: SHEN QINGQIU] Troubleshooting… 》
《 {ERROR.403} PATHWAY FORBIDDEN [SVSSS1.EXE] Terminating…》
“Somebody, HELP!” Shen Yuan sobs, his body alight with pain as though he’s being torn apart at an atomic level.
《 {ERROR.400} BAD REQUEST. Troubleshooting… 》
Another Google Translate voice pipes up, although this one feels warmer somehow.
《 Greetings, [SVSSS1.EXE]!! This System is here to assist. 》
《 [BS01.EXE] this System is unable to connect [Host] to [assigned role], [Host.script] must be terminated. 》
《 Do not be hasty, [SVSSS1.EXE]! Detail the pathways [SVSSS1.EXE] has taken in attempt to resolve the {ERROR}. 》
Shen Yuan ignores the two voices conversing about him like he’s not even there, catching breath he probably doesn’t need since he can’t even tell if he has an actual body or not… it feels like he does but he can’t see anything…
“Hey! Excuse me, Systems? Yeah, hey, I’m still here! Don’t I get a say in this as the Host or whatever?”
《 Answering [Host] … 》
《 This System [BS01.EXE] apologizes for the delay in service. Does [Host] have a ticket to submit to this System? 》
“Uh, yeah, although it’s more of a complaint than a ticket or whatever,” he growls, “but yeah, uh, it’s gonna be a hard no from me if you’re planning on dumping me into the scum villain!”
《 [Host]’s soul is most compatible with the role [Scum Villain: SHEN QINGQIU]. Coding in a new body is not within this System’s programming. 》
《 … 》
The second, softer System remains quiet as that Google Translate voice rings in Shen Yuan’s ears, somehow managing to sound haughty. It pisses him off further.
“If I’m being forcibly put into this trash fire novel’s setting, I refuse to take a preassigned role! Absolutely not! If you can’t make me a body, then I guess I’ll just die.”
《 [Host] should not think in this manner! 》
The second System says, its apparent concern somehow discernible in its robotic voice.
《 [SVSSS1.EXE] is simply attempting to fulfill its programmed purpose. This System [BS01.EXE] apologizes to [Host] for the miscommunication. 》
“Yeah, so if SVS-whatever-the-fuck can’t make me a body, what about you? Can you?”
《 … 》
《 Answering [Host] … 》
《 This System is equipped to handle any and all logistical errors within the {System.Network}. [BS01.EXE] is capable of coding in a role for [Host: SHEN YUAN] 》
《 Is System [BS01.EXE] planning to hijack this System’s chosen [Host]? 》
《 This System would never! [SVSSS01.EXE] is still primary System to [Host]! 》
Shen Yuan swears that the first, bitchy System makes an honest-to-god scoffing noise.
《 [BS01.EXE] can have this System’s [Host], it seems to be ungrateful and uncooperative. {DMA.[SVSSS01.EXE]}{FTP.[BS01.EXE]} 》
《 «𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑡... 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎…» 》
《 ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ 0% 》
《 █▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ 10% 》
《 ███▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ 32% 》
《 █████▒▒▒▒▒ 50% 》
《 ███████▒▒▒ 86% 》
《 ██████████ 100% ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ! 》
《 «Transferring …» 》
《 {FINALIZING}[BS01.EXE]DMA.DAT} 》
《 Congratulations! Congratulations! Congratulations! Important things should be said three times! [BS01.EXE] is now Primary System to [Host: SHEN YUAN]! 》
《 … 》
The original System scoffs, the Google Translate voice somehow capturing the disdain.
《 Goodbye, [BS01.EXE], and goodbye ungrateful [Host]. 》
“...”
《 … 》
“Is it gone?”
《 This System no longer senses the presence of [SVSSS01.EXE]. 》
“Good fucking riddance!”

the second - jinshi x reader (bonus to so i don't know how to love)
Jinshi has been more quiet lately.
Maomao first takes note of it on the second week, and on the third, the poor eunuch looks like he's aged to fifty-six. She blinks at the eunuch, and it seemed another annoying request would be arriving at her doorstep soon. She would have preferred that it stay quiet. But of course, something had to happen. Something always does.
"Maomao." Jinshi groans from the desk.
His usual smirk is replaced by his hair, and his forehead rests on the desk, his head spinning as his soul practically slips past his lips. He's much older, now that she looks at him. Perhaps the worrying over his missing wife had taken a toll— but he had looked much much younger when he had picked her up from the spring residence a year ago.
Maomao smiles to the best of her ability. "Yes?"
"Can you prescribe some chinese medicine that is good for a healthy baby."
Maomao blinks. "Are one of the consorts pregnant already?"
"No." He moves his face to rest on his cheek. "My wife is pregnant with our second."
Maomao blinks incredulously, slowly, utterly confusedly. "She let you sleep with you after—" She shuts herself up, forcing a smile on her face instead. Too many questions would get her nowhere. After all, the madam had just returned. She was not about to make her regret her decision. Though, it seemed the poor guy had been using her day and night for his sexual needs. She feels bad. That poor woman.
Jingui peers from the door at his father, blinking.
"Is niang alright?" Jinshi opens his arms for his son to give him a hug.
Maomao shudders at the affection.
"Niang just woke up." Jingui hums. "I am visiting before my shared class with the princess."
"Very well." He sends him on his way with a kiss on his forehead.
Maomao blinks at Jinshi. "Medicine for the madam?"
"For her pregnancy."
"Isn't she too old to be having children?"
"Aren't you too old to be single?"
"Hey, don't bully the child." You click your tongue disdainfully at the door, and Maomao nods at you as you pass her and stop. "Hand."
Her eyes light up when you drop her some poisonous flowers from your handkerchief.
"That should be enough, right?"
Maomao nods, lips curled into a smile. "You're so much better than he is."
You laugh, smile radiant, and Maomao waves goodbye as she rushes off for the herbs.
"You don't need to bully me for each time I say something out of pocket to her, you know?" Jinshi pouts, looking to the side.
"Have you stopped to consider that she's not married because she doesn't want it?" You roll your eyes. "I heard stress is bad for the baby. You better not go around stressing me out."
Jinshi makes a face of betrayal at you, mouth open and frustrated.
"Niang! The princess wants to see you fight!" Jingui calls from outside, and you hum.
"It's bad for the baby!" Jinshi yells back.
"It's fine." You hum. "Unless you want to pose as me?"
Jinshi grimaces. "I am coming with."
"Fine with me!" You hum. "Niang's coming!"
Maomao stops on her way back to the study with the medicine, staring as you show the princess how to use the sword, holding back a laugh at the way Jinshi looks like he's about to throw up. Well, this isn't the worst thing.
"Madam! Your medicine." Maomao motions at the pot, and you grimace.
Jinshi catches you before you can run away, and your son takes the pot from her with a nod.
Maybe this isn't half as bad.

Entangled Branches - Queqiao
Jingyuan x Reader
Courting is a matter that requires the utmost tact, though exceptions can be made when you're just that old
//I think this just turned into me dumping about ancient Chinese courting gifts. Poem is 秋夕 by 杜牧.
Holding a needle between your deft fingers, you embroider brilliant thread through the plain fabric, eyes focused on the prick of metal weaving in and out as the image of mandarin ducks slowly forms. One much more colourful than the other, thread of ochre and cerulean decorating the foremost bird’s feathers, the second adorned with milder shades of greys and sepias. Cyan lotus pads scattered around the two birds provide some sense of atmosphere, accompanied by scant petals, all that is left for you to do is to tidy up your ducks and add additional ripples of water.
A hand reaches to grab your scissors, snipping away the last remaining bits of orange thread that now finished the last duck. You mindlessly thread grey string through your needle, piercing through the white fabric to sew wavelets around your ducks. Your fingers ghost over each hill and ridge, feeling for imperfections that might snag. You are well aware that what you make does not have to be perfect, but your pride would not let you give someone anything less than your utmost.
It is perfect, more than perfect. You cannot help the tightness in your chest and the soft smile that creeps up your lips, thoughts not quite racing but on the verge of. Still, you must calm your thudding heart as your hands meticulously free your fabric from its wooden confines, spreading it smooth against the wooden table. Sunlight peaks through the window by your side, verdant leaves just visible behind the elaborate frame, illuminating your work properly, you take a moment to merely let your thoughts wander.
Spice sachets are by no means some modern gift to give your lover, perhaps more common in the days of your youth but surely not now. Back then, they were used as insect-repellent or air fresheners, some people also believed that they protected the wearer against evil spirits. Truthfully, he would have no need for it, but call you an old sentimental coot, you just could not help yourself from wanting to protect him, even in your own silly antiquated way.
Before the thought of actually sewing the pouch comes to mind, your head immediately jumps to the basket weave of herbs long sun-dried for use. It had taken a bit of time to get them, seeing as the alchemy commission was being quite nosey about their use and you had not the heart to tell them. So you did the next best thing and lied, citing that you needed them for cooking. Of course, it was only then that they lightened up, but that did not mean that you could not feel their stares as you scurried away.
The herbs, shrivelled and colours dulled, provide an ever so slightly scent that floated lightly through the air. A pleasant smell, one that relaxed without being excessively heady or strong. Though you had worried that such a gift would only worsen your lover’s sleeping habits, your concern for him won out in the end.
Still, you turn away from them to work on sewing the satchel together, far easier work compared to the actual momentous task of embroidery. It goes by much faster than you expect it to, with your mind drifting to familiar faces and that even more familiar emotion. Before you know it, the satchel has taken on the shape of a lotus pouch, drawstrings and all. You attach the beads onto the strings and all that is left to do is to place your herbs in. With a delicate hand, you slowly stuff them in, layering them as if anyone would even open the pouch.
Tugging on the drawstrings, you hold it to your chest for a moment, your eyes fluttering close and imbuing your prayers for him. To be safe and prosperous, able to do as he wishes without fear or shame, and most importantly for him, for his workload to decrease. A soft sigh escapes you, though it is not one of resignation or annoyance but rather fondness, horrid fondness.
You will find some way to slip this into his office, granted that would not be some hard act with how often he is not in. Still, there had to be some subtlety to your actions, you would ruin all the fun if you refrained from such. Of course, finishing one just means you will have to start the other. You could not possibly think of not making one for that disciple of his, especially when he just keeps getting himself in some kind of trouble.
You shake your head as a soft smile tugs at your lips. Truly, you must have been some saviour to be granted such people.

He holds up the wooden comb up to the light, keen eyes pouring over every aspect of the humble item. Dark wood carved into elegant depictions of verdant bamboo and a crane, the tines were slender yet sturdy, spaced perfectly to glide through hair. Before him were many more options of such, each comb’s design more elaborate than the last.
The thought of seeing any of them in your hand, fingers wrapped around the wood as you detangle your hair, works oils with that sweet scent that seems to always coax him closer, it sends a soft warmth to his limbs. He does not quite know how to explain it, a rather pitiful situation for someone known for his flattery and skillful words, but he finds that even when you are doing the most mundane things, he loves you just a little bit more. Perhaps others may call him love-addled in the head, but under soft moonlight, in nothing but your sleeping garments with your hair let down, he imagines that fond glint in your eyes and just cannot help himself but yearn to bear witness to such a sight for the rest of time.
The idea of gifting you a comb has been borne out of spontaneity, something he is not the most familiar with but still welcome. It had been custom for combs to be gifted between lovers, a desire to grow ‘old’ with said person, and he supposes that such a sentiment is rather difficult to continue on when long-lives and mara are two very common phenomena. It is rather silly, but a comb is a practical gift and he has always believed that if given the chance, if the two of you were merely two mortals, you would be happy to watch the wrinkles appear on each other’s face and for your hair to turn grey. You would still be beautiful, aged with the years spent together and the joy evident upon your visage, crow’s feet, smile lines and all.
When he returns to his senses, his hand has rested upon another comb. A lighter shade than the first, though the quality is still just as immaculate, the spaces between the tines are much larger, not as tightly packed as the last. Though arguably a lot less intricate than many of its predecessors, there seemed to be a certain charm to it, humble jasmine flowers carved onto the main body with a care that went far beyond ornate. The very engraving of each petal laden with care, ridge and valley of complete smoothness, the simple design far conveyed to him the vision of you than the rest.
He thumbs over the engraving, smiling to himself as he imagines you once more. Again that old image of you at your night-time routine, this time with this very comb in your hand as you call for him, your voice gentle along the night wind with the smell of sandalwood in the air. It really is foolish of him to keep musing, and yet no matter how many times he says it, he truly has been reduced to a languishing simpleton of a man when it comes to you.
“I shall take this one,” He hums, cradling the comb in one hand as he hands it to the seller.
The seller takes one look at it, a contemplative look appearing on their face before their brows furrow. Taking it into their own hands, they send him a complex look, not quite judgemental but surely urging, “Ah, this plain old thing? I’m certain that we have other combs you will certainly be much more interested in.”
A soft breath escapes him, mostly out of amusement than any negative sentiment. He only nods his head, reaffirming his desire for this specific comb out of the litany he was presented.
“Apologies, but I’m quite certain.”
When the seller notes his conviction, they just accept it. They must surely still be confused at his choice but he does not see why he must explain himself, after all, when it comes to someone such as you, even he cannot explain the manner in which even the simplest things remind him of you.
“I see, of course.”
The comb is promptly wrapped up in delicate paper and fastened with string, tied in a knot you will no doubt struggle with but will admire for all of five seconds. When it is brought back to his hands, he thanks the merchant and his chest grows warm.
A comb for his beloved, jasmines adorning your head, surely he must have been some great saviour in his past life to be able to have such a sight.

“General, would you perchance have the time to accept this lowly one’s gift?”
Your arrival to the seat of Divine Foresight has long been announced, a notion that Qingzu and the routine cloud knights were made aware of even before you could fathom planning your next visit. After all, when the general has come to expect your presence sliding in when everyone least expects it, you gain some perks.
“You and your formalities,” He laughs, his voice dear to your ears. Jingyuan’s eyes, framed by those long lashes, focus upon you. Seated at his desk with mounds of scrolls to look upon, though he would usually be more than happy to be dozing off right this very moment, the energy at which he responds only boosts your excitement, “Of course I do, I’ll always have time if it's you.”
“Old sap.” Shaking your head, you can only let that fond smile appear across your face as you make your way to his desk.
It is by no means an arduous journey, and it is not long before you are granted a full view of a certain someone’s rather smug face, almost feline-like if you will. Furthermore, you suppose you also should have expected that he would pull you closer towards him, his head all but resting on yours if not for the fact that you still needed to give him something. Still, you ignore the way your breath hitches for just a moment, the familiar scent of sandalwood and tea that clings to his form drifting to your nose and coaxing you to relax, instead you reach for the spice sachet and place it in his waiting hands.
He accepts it readily, and it is by the slight widening of his eyes that you know he recognises exactly what you have made for him. After all, it is not like spice sachets are commonplace in this day and age.
“See, I’ve made it so you can attach it to your belt,” Your voice is low, your head leaning against his shoulder as you fiddle with the strings. You can feel his breath fanning against you, his much larger frame a steady pillar“And it's not too long so it won’t get in your way.”
He is quiet for a moment, admiring the pouch as he turns it over and finds new details to marvel upon. Then, he speaks, voice low and teasing,“My dear, are you saying your beloved stinks?”
“No, I'm saying the air around you stinks.” Huffing, you nudge him with your elbow, a notion that he also clearly finds amusing, as he makes an over-exaggerated ‘oof’ to your light tap.
Jingyuan only laughs at that comment, wrapping an arm around you so that you may be closer to one another. Still, he presses a chaste kiss to your forehead, a doting smile on his lips. He whispers, “Thank you for the gift, I’m certain your blessings will keep me safe.”
“You better, if I have to find out from Qingzu that you got some grievous injury again I think I’ll be the one going mara-struck instead.”
“Oh then whatever shall I do? I suppose I can only trouble my dear wife to take care of me so that I won’t end up in the healers again.”
At that, you barely resist the urge to butt him with your head, another overfond sound escaping his lips, sounding more like sweet birdsong to your ears that you may hear his amusement and joy so clearly. Though, it is not long until you notice the weight in your lap, some object wrapped in paper and bound in string. When you meet his gaze, he only gestures for you to open it, golden eyes glinting with some indulgent sentiment. You do so, fussing with the knot but eventually unwrapping the paper to reveal a simple wooden comb, jasmines carved onto its body.
The breath in your lungs seems to escape you, for your words get carded in your throat and all you can muster is a pathetic, “You…”
“You old coot, getting me a comb,” You chuckle, an attempt to hide how choked up you were. “We’ve already spent so many years together and you….”
Jingyuan looks to you, and you are certain that if a mirror were to be brought to both of your faces right this very moment, what would be found would be merely two senior citizens playing at youth. Though, with the many hardships that the centuries have put you through, you cannot quite say that you quite mind this kind of childish tomfoolery. Why else would you call upon childhood sentiments? Why else would he choose such a gift?
Holding up a hand to cradle his face, he leans into your touch, those soulful eyes once again meeting yours. There is such a profound affection within them that for a while, it scared you. Yet now, being the one most privy to such a sight, those eyes who hold the sun and make you yearn to protect him, it comes to you as natural as breathing.
“What do you say, my dear?” He offers, cocking his head to the side as those mellow words sink in.
You can only shake your head, an overly indulgent quirk of your lips pulls your lover closer. It is not the first kiss you shared, and it is certainly not the last, for there will be a long, long time before one of you meets your ends.

ethan is pescatarian, before re7 he eats chicken but never other types of meat, chris manages to reintroduce him to eat chicken again for his military training but ethan became sick.
because of ethan's new diet, ethan went in and tried different types of fish for variety, but at the end he sticks to his favorite week night fish meat is the typical salmon or tilapia, for him grouper fish is the best for soup meals
ethan does't eat raw sashimi or any raw meat due to re7 incident.
ethan doesn't like shellfish too much due to the texture, some are okay like abalone.
chris prefer seasoning that punch your taste buds, something very strong like Garam Masala, Cajun, Shacha sauce (Chinese BBQ), while ethan preferences is pretty mild, so around the circle of Herbes de Provence.
i'm not saying that ethan can't handle the spices or the heat, he just prefer simpler taste and the natural taste of the main ingredient (salmon, etc).
acidity for food, like lemon and vinegar are exceptions, ethan describes it "brings the whole dish back alive!"
from my previous headcanon, i've mentioned how chris is very big into safety (guns, cars, etc), this includes him being cautious with picking meat suppliers and checking labels on where they got their meat from ((again, it's because of the RPD incident, even though he is not there to experience it singlehandedly, he saw his close ones living in that situation, same thing with his parents dying due to a car incident)) it's more so long term over short term, sure he'll try an exotic meat like squirrel/snake from a trusted restaurant/supplier but he's not going to eat that meat everyday
chris' priority isn't about enviromental sustainability (sadly), really just for health wise for him and his close ones (IF they ask, ethan and rebecca agreed, claire doesn't care, jill and leon is indifferent with these sets of informations)
as for chris, he eats whatever meat, he prefers lean meat due to his training, so chicken is very important for him. other meat such as beef and pork is more so a treat for chris. he WILL try exotic meat.
but again, I think both are okay eating the same meal over and over again, and genuinely not picky, Chris doesn't pay too much attention if the meal that he'd ate is the same with the previous meal, he only cares of it's healthy or not (claire and him grew up eating leftovers after leftovers, claire sometimes complained about it). Ethan has a different reason, i think of him to have phases cater around his interest and that phases last in 6-8 month or so.
most of the main dish were picked by ethan, most of the time it's made using dutch oven, so something along the lines of cassrole or stews were often dinner meals for them. with a side of light salad or carbs like stale bread.
Chris isn't the "health police", he's really just a very cautious man. OHH the irony since he smokes the most in the group.
He still sneaks in some chocolate and sweet treats too.. ethan finds it adorable to see that chris is a sweet tooth like him 😭 soemtimes ethan will ask chris if they can get ice cream and you can see the man struggling to say no 🥺
chris sometimes substitue his cigarette with licorice lozenges. he doesn't like patches, but he will take one if he's in a very long flight.
chris HAS to sleep in plane flights, if not he'll grew restless due to him not smoking. he'll wake up to eat or take a piss and that's it.

So glad I can have my flying type team OK Decidueye isn't a flying type but also I like bird pkmn that aren't just flying types
I might put Emolga and talonflame there once I get them too

Useless info about their names no one has to read cuz i don't wanna sleep yet
My Decidueye in Sun was named Basil so I named this one another herb/spice
My previous toucannons were named Genesis and Rhiannon (after the Fleetwood mac song) ultimately toucannon is a pokemon I'll always keep with me it's shitty competitively 😭 but at least it's always on my playthrough so Vermilion cuz it could symbolise life & eternity in Taoism
The Hawlucha was traded from an npc... I want to change its name but you can't do that.... Otherwise I'd name it Kalausi ok I've been trying to name some pkmn after the names of stars, this one would be the Dholuo (a Kenyan language) name for the constellation Vela meaning a strong column of wind which kinds fits Hawlucha. Vela is also part of the 'Star' mansion that lines in Vermilion bird (Chinese way of seeing stars, by organising them in mansions under the four mythical symbols)
So FYI the Twenty eight chinese mansions are separated under four symbols, the Azure dragon (East), vermilion bird (South), white tiger (West) and black tortoise (North). Under those, the mansions symbolise a bunch of things and then you look into their asterisms and they symbolise EVEN MORE THINGS it's so easy to go down a rabbit hole on these star things, I'm not even an astronomy person I just really like mythical attachments to natural things
Sheratan is the Arabic traditional name for Beta Arietis, meaning 'the two signs' (which I think fits Noivern's big ears) Beta Arietis is also the star system the chinese assigned the 'Bond' mansion, it lies in White Tiger
Rasalhague is the brightest star in Ophiuchus. Opiuchus means 'serpent bearer' and Rasalhague is 'head of the serpent charmer'. Opiuchus lies in both Azure dragon and Black tortoise in the chinese mansions, including the 'Room' and 'Tail' mansions of the Azure dragon. (Opiuchus is the 'celestial river' in the 'Tail'.) All this fits Gyarados well I think!!
I've been naming my Miniors after names of people in the Treasure album by Cocteau twins, so I've had Lorelei, Beatrix, Pandora, Cindy and there's more names in the album but I went with Dakota from the Stereophonics song
Murkrow was on my team for a while and I named it Minkar, which is the Arabic name meaning 'beak of the crow' for Epsilon Corvi, a star in the constellation Corvus. Corvus is under the 'Chariot' mansion lying in Vermilion bird in the chinese mansions also.
I did want to give cultural names of stars to nearly all the pkmn I'd use on my team but it took to find some that matched well and I sometimes just wanted to get on with the game so I named something off the top of my head instead of delving into Wikipedia lol,, the Sheratan and Rasalhague names make me so happy though, they sound so majestic and special to the pokemon heheh

My sincerest apologies for the double request. Could I have headcanon of how Hades, Poseidon, Thor, Qin Shi Huang and Tesla would care for their S/O who is sick with the flu?
He is nervous but tries to hide it.
Being the God of Death, he knows that any illness can potentially lead to his door.
All efforts are made for you to rest, relax, and recover.
Hades doesn’t allow you to leave the bed for anything other than to use the bathroom. It’s maddening.
Thinks that being sick is a sign of weakness. What self-respecting god, or consort to a god, would get ill?
It is what it is though. And when he realizes that you are not able to will it away, or just keep on as normal, he relents in admitting you are sick.
A very ‘hands off’ caretaker. One who will check on you after several hours to make sure you are still breathing.
His bedside manner is about as cold as his artic sea.
Unintentionally cold
The common cold is common, yes? That would be why it is in the name. So it’s not a big deal, right?
Thor has never been sick so he has no point of reference for it. Although he has been injured in battle and that was quite unpleasant. But there was more blood and lances that time.
In any case, he makes an effort to try and comfort you, but mostly just leaves you alone to rest. Brings flowers to your room while you sleep & opens the windows to let fresh air in.
Being a human once, he knows that being sick is no fun. But this will not get us down!
Qin Shi is still very positive, and positive in your recovery.
He tries all manner of Eastern Medicine techniques to cure you. Tai chi & calisthenics to get the blood flowing. Burning sage and other herbs to repel the demon sickness. He wanted to try acupuncture, but you shot him down.
The only thing that did work was a spicy black chicken bone broth. Qin Shi insists that it’s an ancient Chinese remedy, and that the herbs have powerful antioxidants in them to cure even death. Or, if could just be that it’s warm soup.

Takes a more scientific approach that the Eastern Medicine route. No offense Qin Shi.
Prepare to be poked, prodded, and pulled in order for Tesla to find the right answer. You’re going to be missing a lot of fluids.
Once the germ has been isolated, Tesla will devote every waking hour to decipher it and finding a cure. A super antibiotic, if you will.
Of course by the time he’s come up with a trail run you’re already better. But there is always next time.

Genuinely so fucking hyped that i got into jjk at the same time as you because holy shit youre so fucking correct about sukuna being physically disabled/disfigured and how its a huge part of his character/story and its V disappointing when ppl just wash him out to be hot and conventionally attractive like URGGG ur opinions are so right all the time holy shit. Also you write him So fucking well in your fic about him im So hyped to read it when you post it, ur amazing 👏
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Thank you! Yes! I know I'm right about this, and honestly I think Gege actually did write some of it into the story
Fun fact: You know what Itadori means? Knotweed. It's an herb that's used to treat inflammation in traditional Japanese medicine (which was popularized in the Nara era as Buddhist monks brought traditional chinese medicine over to Japan WHICH WAS WHEN TENGEN BEGAN PREACHING ABOUT JUJUTSU I'm super normal btw and not all deranged)
I'm not saying that I've been doing a dive into Buddhism and the allegory of Sukuna being somewhere between Mara and Angulimala in Buddhist mythology (even down to gathering fingers to gain power) is driving me insane. Or that Kenjaku being named after Kannon the goddess of mercy's rope which she uses to pull people from hell makes me pace around the floor. Or that it's a story about love and humanity and how we treat others shapes who they are.
All I'm saying is that Gege was cooking and his craft and symbolism just absolutely went over the audience's heads because it's a shonen, who expects insane amounts of world and lore crafting from a shonen? Who expects rich religious symbolism? Who expects sympathy and mercy and love?
It's been a while since something has sunk its claws so deeply into me that I legit have lost sleep on the reg either working/writing or just thinking too hard that I start crying because do you think Sukuna's mother looked at him with fear in her eyes? Do you think he ever had a name? Do you think he knows his birthday? Do you think sorcerers ever tried exorcising him as a cursed spirit when he was a child?
I'm super pumped you're enjoying my story!!! I honestly think that this will be my magnum opus and that nothing I have written before or will write after will ever come close to topping it.
It's absolutely not a light story, and it's going to be incredibly painful and I'm going to keep it as canon compliant as I can for the first two parts. After that though it's going to be cute and I can't wait to get to that part.
I'm hoping I'll have some time this weekend to work more on chapter 3, I have a good chunk of it and also a bit of chapter 4 written out so far
I'm trying to make reader as relatable as possible while also still making them a religious figure, and also someone who's interesting?
#I try to do that with all of my reader inserts#This is probably the one I'll touch the most on wrt gender#writing it as someone who is trans but also as someone who didn't have the words for it growing up#So there's actually going to be a lot of like discussions of gender roles both for Sukuna and the reader that just... don't fit#so yes Sukuna who honestly doesn't give a shit about gender because he doesn't see himself as human#and addresses himself in masculine terms because those hold more power#but doesn't really see himself as a 'man'#Also gonna discuss disability and eugenics and god anyways I'm gonna go write now#There's some smut I'm stuck on#and I find it easiest to write smut at night#dalish mail#I just want sukuna to be happy#but he won't be#and honestly neither will the reader#it's not a happy story I'm so sorry#(I'm not sorry(

Shall we get acquainted? At first.
These are the usual short sketches that have no connection with each other.
Silly, snotty romance and nothing more.
male OC × characters from wind breaker. There will be no separate description of his appearance.
*****
most likely, the translator translated everything clumsily. I apologize for that. This is the first time I've posted something like this outside of my notes... (´;д;`)
please don't be negative 🙏
*****
his smile tastes sweet. It's so sunny and pleasant... it tastes like a sweet multi-colored lollipop, which small children enjoy when, after long minutes of begging, parents give up and buy it. it is so pleasant and gentle that looking at that happy face melts everything inside, warming the crippled soul.
often, smiling mischievously, he likes to wink. his facial expressions are amazing. wiggling his eyebrows, grinning obscenely, smiling with the tip of his mouth and mechanically winking is what he gives people every day, making them awkwardly embarrassed, catch their eyes and turn around.
to be honest, Suo is still not used to such a wide range of emotions in people, especially when this person is not just a funny passerby. therefore, for every such smile-smirk in his direction, there is a treacherous tingle somewhere in his chest, and the blood involuntarily begins to rush to his cheeks...
*****
evening slowly came, coloring the pale blue sky in peach colors, causing white fluffy clouds to turn pink, making them more voluminous and heavy in appearance.
and he, standing somewhere next to a grateful grandmother, who will not soon finish expressing her praise to the guys from wind breaker, smiles radiantly and winks cheerfully, then defiantly twitching his eyebrows.
it was a good thing that Suo was standing relatively a little further away from the guys, which allowed him to smile softly from the corners of his lips and narrow his eyes just a little. a fire of feelings and desires is burning inside. the desire to squeeze this charming guy, kiss those lips, sugary from lollipops and lose yourself in the feelings of a teenage stupid, but stupefyingly intoxicating first love...
*****
first, he kisses each knuckle on someone else's hand in turn, reveling in the sight when the owner of this hand is surprised and embarrassed. he smiles when this hand smoothly moves to his cheekbone and touches a long antique earring, and someone else's lips are gently imprinted on his, leaving a wet trail and an indecent squish. the eyes sparkle, the panting merges together. in a moment, one of them leaves a wet kiss on the cheek of the other, and their hands reach out to him, grabbing him in a warm embrace.
*****
Suo has a straight posture, careful movements, and a confidently raised head. unlike him.
a healthy body, proper sleep patterns. unlike him.
a lot of free time and not the best grades at school. unlike him.
Suo is a mysterious look, rooted to the face, apparently forever, a polite smile, an unreadable facial expression and a subtle smell of Chinese herbs.
Suo is clothing that looks like traditional Chinese, fresh and perfectly ironed, all without a hitch.
Suo is an ordinary men's hairstyle, straight-cropped hair.
Suo is a fragrant, green, hot soothing tea.
he has a weak body, uncertain movements, slumped shoulders, a fucked-up sleep schedule, an eternal lack of free time and painstakingly excellent grades in the certificate, carved on paper like a brand.
he has a smile that is more dazzling than the June rays of the scorching sun at noon.
he is an infinitely kind but forcibly beaten soul.
he's a bleary-eyed ginger lollipop in his mouth, which can be replaced at any moment by some kind of nuclear cigarette.
he's always rumpled dark clothes that don't wash for weeks and are shaped like bags.
he's got long black hair that don't bother to wash more often than once every week and a half, and they stopped cutting it two years ago..
*****
coming soon...

Avini’s Plus Mind & Vision is a unique combination of nutrients and herbs (Huperzine A, Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE), N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Floraglo Lutein, Bilberry Extract and Detoxolite) which work in concert to maintain and enhance brain and nervous system functions as well as promote visual acuity. This includes mental alertness, clarity, memory retention, improved visual focus as well as improved night vision and glare recovery. These positive effects upon structure and function of the brain nervous system and eyes are supported by numerous scientific/clinical studies.
FloraGLO® Lutein is naturally-sourced, unesterified lutein that is scientifically proven to protect our eyes from the part of visible light, known as blue light. It is most widely known for eye health due to a groundbreaking study known as the Age-Related Eye Disease Study 2 (AREDS2) – a study which used FloraGLO Lutein. From protecting the developing infant brain to supporting cognitive function in adults, a growing body of research supports lutein as an important nutrient for brain function throughout all stages of life.
Huperzine A: An extract of the Chinese club moss, Huperzia serrata, huperzine A has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It is an effective inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase, the enzyme that degrades acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter important for normal memory and learning function. Huperzine A may help maintain cognitive function that has been degraded by a reduction in the brain’s functional levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) functions as a neurotransmitter and is neuroprotective in the brain. DMAE helps eliminate lipofuscin and free radicals from brain cells. It also helps increase free choline to be available in your system and stimulates cholinergic receptors that may promote the use of acetylcholine (ACh) in your brain, thus improving mood and energy while influencing sleep patterns.
N-Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALCAR): This acetylated high energy ester of the amino acid L-carnitine contributes its acetyl group to the production of acetylcholine, the primary neurotransmitter for memory and thought. The enzyme that makes acetylcholine from acetyl groups and choline is choline acetyl transferase. The activity of this important enzyme has a tendency to decline with age, causing low acetylcholine levels which in turn are thought to contribute to the impairment of brain function that is associated with aging. Research has also found that ALCAR is active in optimizing the functioning of cerebral blood flow, as well as of nerve cell membranes.
Bilberry Extract has been clinically shown to stabilize tear production, increase the strength of collagen fibers in the capillaries and help build strong blood vessels; which improves circulation to the eye. The potent anthocyanin content supports overall eye health and vision, and has been shown to be beneficial in supporting short-sightedness, as well as prevent age-related macular degeneration. Historically, British pilots during WWII ate bilberry jam to improve their vision at night.
Detoxolite™: Avini’s micronized and Activated clinoptilolite zeolite that detoxifies while improving nutritional absorption and utilization. Clinical studies have reported that users have experienced improved mental clarity as well as improved visual acuity.
*These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Boost Calcium and Vitamin D: To support bone health, include foods like dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified cereals.
Eat Anti-Inflammatory Foods: Incorporate foods rich in omega-3s, such as salmon, walnuts, and chia seeds, to reduce inflammation and improve mood.
Limit Processed Foods and Sugars: These can exacerbate symptoms like mood swings and energy crashes.
Making dietary adjustments is a simple yet powerful diet for menopause relief strategy.
Lifestyle Changes for Menopause
A few simple shifts in your daily routine can lead to significant improvements in how you feel. Here are some practical lifestyle changes for menopause:
Exercise Regularly: Physical activity can improve mood, enhance sleep, and maintain bone health. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.
Practice Stress Management: Techniques like yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises can reduce anxiety and improve overall well-being.
Prioritize Sleep: Create a relaxing bedtime routine, avoid screens before bed, and keep your room cool to manage night sweats.
These changes not only offer natural menopause relief but also enhance overall health.
Non-Hormonal Menopause Treatments
For those looking to avoid hormone replacement therapy, there are effective non-hormonal menopause treatments available. These include:
Acupuncture: This traditional Chinese medicine practice may help with hot flashes and mood regulation.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT can be an excellent tool for managing menopause-related anxiety and mood swings.
Supplements: Menopause natural supplements, such as omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and vitamin E, can support your body during this transition.
Non-hormonal options provide menopause relief without hormones, giving women more choices in their wellness journey.
Home Remedies for Menopause
Sometimes, the simplest remedies are the most effective. Here are some home remedies for menopause you can try:
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to combat dryness and reduce bloating.
Cool Your Environment: Use fans or cooling pillows to minimize the discomfort of hot flashes.
Essential Oils: Lavender and peppermint oils can help with relaxation and temperature regulation.
These remedies are easy to implement and can make a big difference in managing daily symptoms.
Alternative Treatments for Menopause
Beyond herbs and supplements, alternative treatments for menopause can offer relief. Practices like tai chi, aromatherapy, and reflexology are gaining popularity for their ability to promote relaxation and hormonal balance.
Tai Chi: This gentle form of exercise improves flexibility, reduces stress, and enhances overall health.
Aromatherapy: Essential oils like clary sage and chamomile can help with mood regulation and sleep.
Reflexology: Targeting pressure points on your hands and feet may provide relief from symptoms like fatigue and tension.
These alternative options are a great complement to more traditional remedies.

Just give me the coffee, I will do the rest.
Loki is settling in. Mostly, he wants to eat and sleep. The few times I have let him out of the Borg Cube, he's been out for 10 minutes, gets overstimulated, and runs back to his Safe Place. Right now he is learning how to play with toys, and loves his scratching posts and pads. He's been through so much. I have asked that the ex get a visit from his karma.
Unpleasant Subject Ahead
Another thing that this whole thing has driven home is how important it is to get your affairs in order - even if you don't have cancer. Loki's mom was getting a divorce and fell so ill so fast that she was unable to make her own medical decisions within days of admission. Even if you are getting a divorce, even with an actual protective order, your spouse is still the legal default person to make decisions for you. They are your legal heir. If you don't have a legal spouse (marriage certificate), it's your adult children, if you have no kids then your parents make those decisions even if you're a legal adult. If you have no immediate family, then your extended family gets called in.
Power of attorney legal and medical
Will for personal property
Living trust for investments and real estate
Medical orders (supersede those of the POA) such as Do Not Resuscitate
A health care directive like this one.
It's hard to think about, but when your surviving extended family is a mess (like mine) you want these things in order. Hell, have them notarized so that a judge can look at the plaintiff and say, "What the hell is the matter with you?"
Golden Treadmill
I'm strapping myself in with another 'write to spec' contract. Yep, it's more porn. I negotiated for one every six weeks from February to November. I need to visit Amazon and stock up on barf bags and brain bleach. I did say that I won't write noncon or (yes, this is a thing) racist tropes. It's hard for me to write hardcore body horror. I might be writing horrible porn in order to pay off my medical bills that makes my pussy slam shut like an angry clam, but I have standards. That being said, the editor delivered the advance to my freelance bank account and the outline to my inbox.
Whoo boy.
In my defense, I did not know that 'monster fucking' was commercially viable.
Cat in the Kitchen
Rediscovering food has been a wonder. As promised, my rearranged innards make it trial and error, but the errors seem to be self-correcting. Gut flora does come back, but I have not been brave enough to venture into my spicy Indian, Chinese, and Mexican foods.
I've been making casseroles/hotdish because they freeze well and sometimes the fatigue renders me incapable of anything other than pushing a button.
For casseroles/hotdish you need:
Vegetables: Frozen works fine. Canned is saltier, so if you go canned use 'less salt' brands. If you are using mushrooms, frozen, fresh or dried is best. I find canned mushrooms have a very weird metallic taste.
Starch: Potatoes, rice, pasta/noodles, bread. Yes, tater tots count.
Protein: Can be vegetable protein, beans, canned tuna or salmon, or meat. Smoked salmon is delicious in casseroles and soup, so I go to my local deli on Friday to get lox ends and trimmings.
Sauce: Canned soups (cream of ____), jarred or canned pasta sauce, or packaged cooking sauces and gravies.
Topping: Cornflakes, tater tots, cheese, potato chips, stuffing, etc.
Flavor: Dried herbs, onion and celery, garlic, spices.
Slowcooker meals are great, too, and follow the same rules as casseroles/hotdish. But my favorite caserole dish is my Gran's Lancashire hotpot - lamb neck chops, potatoes, onions, and more sliced potatoes on top for a crispy lid.
Back to work.

something i read 10 years ago convinced me that PANDAS=heart issues, which i didn't ever have, so i never looked into it
but the "developing a blinking tic and health-and-sleep-related OCD and hyperactivity after getting strep throat one million times in 2nd grade", followed by immune, mood, sleep, akathisia and other nervous system issues is apparently pretty textbook
which doesn't bode well for my blood-brain barrier but let's be honest here we already knew that. the main takeaway is that i maybe no longer need to read minimum 50 PDFs per individual issue to find something that helps. maybe i can just read one long PANDAS PDF. in fact a chinese herb that modulates cytokine activity is on its way to me right now...
#this might actually be the end of my schizo health posting era. half the things in the pandas recommendations i already found & take daily#so im gonna try the rest too but im already soooooooo much better than i was before
