persephone cabin headcanons
children of persephone
• they’re always conceived in the spring or summer.
• in times of conflict, their presence alone can bring hope and peace to others, and they are often called upon to soothe agitated campers.
• SOO many flowers crowns.
• their powers shift with the seasons. in spring and summer, they possess fertility abilities, excelling at gardening and nurturing plant life.
• they help the apollo and dionysus cabins put on hadestown.
• during autumn and winter, they tap into their underworld connection, enabling them to see ghosts, cause tremors in the earth, rip souls away, shadow travel short distances, and occasionally curse others.
• they can summon the opposite set of powers out of season, but doing so requires a significant amount of energy and effort.
• like their mother, they have a dual personality— kind and nurturing one moment, but stern and unyielding the next.
• they’re basically the mom friend.
• they have a deep empathy for both life and death, understanding the cycles of nature and the importance of both joy and sorrow.
• this makes them great counselors and therapists.
• they have a deep respect for animals, especially deer, as it is their mother’s sacred animal, and they may see hunting as unnecessary or cruel.
• this respect extends to all wildlife, making them strong advocates for animal rights and conservation.
• their connection to the natural world make them instinctively protective of animals, leading them to actively work against activities that harm wildlife.
• they become involved in efforts to protect endangered species or restore damaged ecosystems.
• many of them engage in activism to protect wildlife and prevent hunting, using their abilities to create safe havens for animals and advocate for laws that protect them.
cabin exterior
• the cabin is adorned with intricate floral patterns and vines that seem to bloom and twist around the structure, reflecting persephone’s domain over flowers and the seasons.
• the exterior changes with the seasons— lush and vibrant during spring and summer, with blooming flowers and greenery, and transitioning to more barren and earthy tones during fall and winter.
• the cabin is painted in shades of emerald green and gold, symbolizing persephone’s connection to nature and the wealth of the underworld.
• a winding garden path leading up to the cabin is lined with a variety of flowers and plants that bloom in different colors, guided by magical enchantments to always be in full bloom.
• the structure is made of ancient, weathered stone with carvings of persephone’s symbols— like pomegranates, flowers, and butterflies— etched into the walls.
cabin interior
• like the demeter cabin, this cabin RADIATES cottage core energy.
• the cabin’s color scheme incorporates soft, earthy tones such as shades of green, gold, and pale pink, with accents of deep black and purple representing persephone's connection to the underworld.
• the walls are covered in murals and living vines that bloom with seasonal flowers like daisies, roses, and poppies. a canopy of intertwining branches drape across the ceiling, with small blossoms that glow softly in the dark.
• large windows let in plenty of natural light during the day, giving the space a warm and inviting atmosphere. at night, lanterns made of celestial bronze are enchanted to mimic the flicker of fireflies, providing a soft, ethereal glow.
• the furniture is made from natural materials like wood and stone. chairs and beds are carved with intricate designs of flowers, vines, and pomegranates. the cushions and bedding are plush and adorned with floral patterns.
• each member has their own area adorned with their favorite flowers or plants. there is also a small altar with offerings of pomegranates, flowers, and seeds, honoring their mother.
cabin traditions
• at the beginning of each spring, they participate in a special ritual to welcome the return of spring. this involves planting new flowers and trees around the camp, blessing the fields with good growth, and crafting flower crowns to wear throughout the day. this ritual symbolizes renewal, growth, and the reawakening of nature.
• they have a sweet tradition could involve exchanging flowers among cabin members as a sign of friendship, support, or goodwill. each type of flower has its own meaning, allowing members to communicate their feelings through these natural tokens.
• they have a special garden that they tend to throughout the year. this garden is filled with flowers and plants sacred to persephone, such as poppies, lilies, and pomegranates. they spend time together planting, weeding, and caring for this garden as a way to connect with their mother and each other.
• at important camp events or ceremonies, they create and wear intricate flower crowns. these crowns are crafted for themselves or as gifts for others, symbolizing the beauty and strength of nature.
• they also have a tradition of making a special crown for any camper who has achieved something significant, honoring their accomplishment.

Demigod Headcannons
No but give me. Children of Persephone, who control darkness or snow instead of flowers and springtime, who reflect her darker roles.
The Destroyer, who controlled the dead as Hades did, as his equal, who's children would reflect this.
Who inspire paralyzing fear into their enemies. Who, equally, has a terrible beauty to rival the children of Aphrodite, with calculating minds to use this to their advantage.
Who are viscious and frightening with their *rage*, which is often their fatal flaw.
Give me children of Demeter who, instead of creating life, cause DEATH. Who can kill with a touch, cause you to wither, even to starve to death before your own eyes.
Who STOP growth, can put you in a coma, into *sleep*. Who make you grow *faster*, aging you.
Children of Demeter who team up with children of Apollo, both controlling pestilence and insects. Who can pull nutrients from the earth and cause civilizations to starve.
Or children of Demeter who bring things *back from the dead*, as Demeter was worshiped for resurrection.
Who have fatal flaws featuring their possesive natures.
Give me the fear and respect the other campers have, for the power of the children of an Elder Goddess and the Queen of the Dead, Hades' Equal.
Enough with people thinking they are sweet little flower-children, trusting and innocent and weak and stupid, children of little consequence.
Meg's not the only powerful plant-child, and nor are her powers the only options.
Demeter and Persephone are fearsome and powerful. Why would their children be so different?

Children of Persephone headcanons (because there aren't enough)
Children of Persephone often develop bipolar disorder as a result of their mother's two different “sides”.
Children of Persephone get along well with most underworld kids, but especially Hades' kids, as they're step-siblings.
In the winter, children of Persephone tend to have a temper and a short-fuse.
All children of Persephone are born with the desire to eat pomegranate seeds at least once in their lives.
Children of Demeter are often bossy towards children of Persephone, who deliberately try to annoy them.
Children of Persephone are often very free spirits and hate being told what to do.
Persephone doesn't have very many demigod children, as she is completely loyal to her husband (though she's not above having a child with a mortal out of spite).
Children of Persephone tend to be very independent and stubborn.
Children of Persephone may have a rivalry with children of Aphrodite, though it can be friendly.
Children of Persephone are stronger in places of nature — this extends to garden centres.
Children of Persephone tend to take on a lot more than they can bare.
Children of Persephone tend to be wary of snakes and children of Zeus, because of the rape of their mother.
Children of Persephone take great offence if you use their name in vain or as the basis of mockery.
Children of Persephone become more ruthless and bloodthirsty in the winter.
If a child of Persephone sees a deer in a forest, it will come to greet them, as deer are their mother's sacred animal.
Children of Persephone would most likely skin you if you spoke badly of their mother.
All children of Persephone are beautiful, as beauty is subjective.
If looking to boast, most children of Persephone will refer to themselves as a child of The Destroyer.
When angered, children of Persephone can have a ruthless, thirst-for-blood that could rival a child of Ares.
Some children of Persephone are more feared than children of Hades.
Children of Persephone are often friendly with nature spirits.
Just as children of Poseidon can talk to sea animals, children of Persephone can “talk” to plants, in that they understand what plants want or need.
All children of Persephone have the ability to grow flowers or plants, which many accidentally do when they're nervous.
Powerful children of Persephone possess the ability to turn people into animals or plants.
Though this is rare, some children of Persephone possess a very mild form of charmspeak and are able to accentuate their beauty or the beauty of others.
Another rare power is the ability to take away the pain of death and bless them with safe passage to a good afterlife, but only for those who deserve it — if the person is deemed unworthy by Persephone, they will be given a fair judgement.
Children of Persephone can summon and communicate with the dead, but to a lesser extent than the children of Hades — in some cases, Hades may bless the child, which amplifies this ability.
As Persephone is the mistress and the goddess of the Furies, her children can summon the Furies, who will obey them without question.
Children of Persephone have the rare power to bless people/lands with fertility.

iris and hyacinth garland arent the twins' real names. they arent the names their biological dad gave them... they grew uo with the names their adoptive parents' followers picked out for them...
their real names are emersyn and william lot. their dad wanted them to keep their names because they mean a lot to him and he felt its what would suit them best as they got older, but their adoptive parents didnt like them and asked for naming suggestions from their followers after they adopted the twins.
emersyn knows their real names... persephone told her... and emersyn isnt sure on how to or if shes going to tell will... will is really sensitive and emotional (in a good way) and he grew.up as hyacinth... it hurt her when she found out, she couldnt imagine how bad itd hurt him if he found out ...

@wordsofwizdumb the persephone is persephoning XD
What if…
Persephone cursed Nico so that whenever his bare skin touches soil, a tree, or plant it starts to sprout flowers.
Percy, Jason, and Will dragged Nico to the beach to spend time with friends and when Nico’s feet touched the sand seaweed and tropical flowers began to sprout as he walked.
Juniper and Grover kidnapped Nico to revitalize a forest. They knocked him unconscious, tied him up, took his shoes off, and tossed him on the ground in the middle of the forest of dead trees.
When Nico gets angry near the Demeter cabin he kills the plants around him accidentally, goes “oops” and takes off his shoes to go walk around a bit.
Everyone finds it hilarious but it’s why Nico wears really thick platform boots that look like black converse.

Gotta love how Zag's love interests are 1) The punisher of jealousy and oathbreakers, 2) Peaceful Death, and 3) Cute gorgon head maid who's a total sweetheart
While Mel's (possible) love interests are 1) Divine Retribution, punisher of hubris, 2) Doom (feared and hated by all mankind), 3) Strife (Greek pantheon's #1 troublemaker), and 4) Two mortals whose whole life story is a cautionary tale about hubris.
All the while unlike Zag, Mel's implied to have never had a romantic relationship before as an adult, based on her Aphrodite boon dialogues (to me, her and Icarus screams "childhood puppy love", which doesn't actually count as true relationship experience).
Girlie I think you need to get therapy or get laid. Preferably both. And soon.
...
I do think it's cute that at least between Meg/Than and Nem/Moros, both women are deliverers of punishment, while both men are embodiments of concepts that will inevitably arrive at the end of mortal lives. Dusa and Icarus + Arachne also fit the mold of "sweetheart dealing with power dynamics issues" (prince/servant vs. goddess/mortal, in Arachne's case a mortal maligned by gods).
Zagreus and Melinoë may have never known each other, but they somehow have the exact same bisexual taste, which is very important to me.
Also proof that they're DEFINITELY Persephone's children: got their mother's taste for tall big tiddy goths lmao.

Chthonic Gods' Cabins Headcanons
Children of Hades, Persephone, Nyx, Hypnos, Nemesis, Hecate, Thanatos, Eris, Geras, Selene, etc. Any God that lives in the underworld or is a child of God that lives in the underworld.
They refer to themselves as Hellspawn endearingly.
They are so much more loyal to each other than to children of other Gods. They're all united by the underworld.
They have sleepover in the Hades Cabin. Chiron doesn't know, and he wouldn't allow it if he did. The Hecate Cabin masks their presence so others can see, hear, or sense them.
They treat children of Hades like royalty. They're all the pretty princesses of the underworld. They put a pink, fuzzy crown on Nico one time. He didn't particularly enjoy it, but he didn't stop them.
They make homemade candles and hold rituals in cemeteries and abandoned playgrounds.
They always make sure Hazel is welcome at camp. She is a queen. She can't be uncomfortable or unhappy at camp half blood.
They held a grand funeral for Bianca. She has a beautiful burial plot. Fresh flowers every week.
Sometimes they go frolicking through the underworld, holding hands and skipping. Purely for the irony.
They kind of consider Will one of them? They're a bit iffy about him because he's a son of Apollo, the sun god, but they appreciate how happy he makes Nico.
The underworld children that can summon spirits (Mostly Hades children. Children of Hypnos can make dead people appear in dreams. Few children of Nemesis can control vengeful spirits. Few children of Ares can call upon dead soldiers who lost their war. Thanatos children.) will gossip about the spirits they spoke to. They'll also work together to try to summon a lost friend or family member, to give one of them some form of closure.
The Hades cabin leads their little clique. Planning outings and meetings.
The Hypnos cabin regulates their dreams, making sure everyone sleeps relatively okay. They keep their dreams not terrible for the most part.
Children of Selene will use their powers to radiate moonlight, effectively making other children of the underworld slightly more powerful.
Children of Nemesis act as their regulators, their judges. If someone wronged one of them, the entire Nemesis cabin will get revenge for them.
Children of Nyx are their guards. All they have to do is look at someone, and they'll think a million times before they even interact with one of them.
Children of Persephone will grow flowers and fruit for them. They keep their lives bright and meaningful. A symbol of peace, even if only in short periods.
Children of Hecate will enchant anything for them. Magical weapons mean more security. And Tarot readings. A small glimpse into the future will calm them down so much.
Children of Geras will give them wisdom. Old age comes with experience. And experience leads to knowledge. An excellent guide for young, inexperienced demigods.
Children of Eris will remind everyone of what someone has done. Never forgetting someone's blatant wrongdoings. They warn everyone when they hear about something someone has done, trying to keep them out of trouble.
