Chthonic Gods' Cabins Headcanons
Children of Hades, Persephone, Nyx, Hypnos, Nemesis, Hecate, Thanatos, Eris, Geras, Selene, etc. Any God that lives in the underworld or is a child of God that lives in the underworld.
They refer to themselves as Hellspawn endearingly.
They are so much more loyal to each other than to children of other Gods. They're all united by the underworld.
They have sleepover in the Hades Cabin. Chiron doesn't know, and he wouldn't allow it if he did. The Hecate Cabin masks their presence so others can see, hear, or sense them.
They treat children of Hades like royalty. They're all the pretty princesses of the underworld. They put a pink, fuzzy crown on Nico one time. He didn't particularly enjoy it, but he didn't stop them.
They make homemade candles and hold rituals in cemeteries and abandoned playgrounds.
They always make sure Hazel is welcome at camp. She is a queen. She can't be uncomfortable or unhappy at camp half blood.
They held a grand funeral for Bianca. She has a beautiful burial plot. Fresh flowers every week.
Sometimes they go frolicking through the underworld, holding hands and skipping. Purely for the irony.
They kind of consider Will one of them? They're a bit iffy about him because he's a son of Apollo, the sun god, but they appreciate how happy he makes Nico.
The underworld children that can summon spirits (Mostly Hades children. Children of Hypnos can make dead people appear in dreams. Few children of Nemesis can control vengeful spirits. Few children of Ares can call upon dead soldiers who lost their war. Thanatos children.) will gossip about the spirits they spoke to. They'll also work together to try to summon a lost friend or family member, to give one of them some form of closure.
The Hades cabin leads their little clique. Planning outings and meetings.
The Hypnos cabin regulates their dreams, making sure everyone sleeps relatively okay. They keep their dreams not terrible for the most part.
Children of Selene will use their powers to radiate moonlight, effectively making other children of the underworld slightly more powerful.
Children of Nemesis act as their regulators, their judges. If someone wronged one of them, the entire Nemesis cabin will get revenge for them.
Children of Nyx are their guards. All they have to do is look at someone, and they'll think a million times before they even interact with one of them.
Children of Persephone will grow flowers and fruit for them. They keep their lives bright and meaningful. A symbol of peace, even if only in short periods.
Children of Hecate will enchant anything for them. Magical weapons mean more security. And Tarot readings. A small glimpse into the future will calm them down so much.
Children of Geras will give them wisdom. Old age comes with experience. And experience leads to knowledge. An excellent guide for young, inexperienced demigods.
Children of Eris will remind everyone of what someone has done. Never forgetting someone's blatant wrongdoings. They warn everyone when they hear about something someone has done, trying to keep them out of trouble.

Nemesis: Ethan is at that special age where he only thinks of one thing.
Hecate: Deicide?
Nemesis: Well I was going to say stabbing but. Ethan. Why are you not thinking of deicide?

Hello :D
Just wanted to ask what your headcanons (if any) about Ethan’s powers are :)
HIIIII SORRY I DIDN'T SEE THIS UNTIL NOW AHHHHHH
As for powers I think Ethan would have, I don't see him having abilities of physical substance like other characters do (ie, Percy water powers). I think if he were to have powers/enhanced abilities, they would be similar to Annabeth and her intellect or Nico's ability to sense the dead/souls. It'd be more of a mental thing, like intuition.
Within greek theology, Nemesis is usually portrayed with an ability to 'sense' when things are unbalanced and can give luck or curses in order to regain a balance (or to enact retribution on those who cause the imbalance). I can see Ethan having kind of a sixth sense when it comes to when things aren't balanced, whether it be physically or morally. Like the little voice in the back of your head tugging, whispering; "this isn’t right, this isn't equity, this needs to change," and then subconsciously know how to solve it. We kind of saw this in the books when Ethan was able to clock the location of Percy's Achilles Heel almost instantly and then had the urge to attack him there. Like evening out the odds when someone or something has an uncouth advantage or disadvantage.
Along with this, I like to think Ethan would have a very balanced lifestyle (if circumstance allowed him to lmao). Like in a domestic-not-titan-war setting, he would have a healthy sleep/wake schedule and would cook balanced meals, while also keeping a balanced schedule between rest and work. It might also make sense for him to be ambidextrous or have a strong equilibrioception. It would also be interesting if along with that intuition, he had a sort of thermoception, pitch perception, and or situational intelligence. Picking up on shifts or imbalances in your surroundings and then adequately countervail it.
Now if were talking physical ability/power wise, Ethan having wings would be a banger concept. I don't remember where I read it, It was like 3 years ago minimum, but I read a fic where Ethan had like goose wings and I ATE THAT SHIT UP OML DELICIOUS. It's plagued my mind ever since I read it. Nemesis being a winged goddess and having geese/birds as a reoccurring motif in her theology. Nemesis having the ability of foresight and destiny. UsghevehehejvhehdgdhdhdbRAHHHHHH
Imagine with me now: Nemesis forsaw the battle of Manhattan, she knew Ethan was going to get killed by Cronos. She knew his blade was going to shatter and shrapnel back into him. She knew even after that, Cronos would still chuck him down Mount Olympus to his death. She knew that wasn't balanced, that wasn't on even grounds. So as a way to balance out her sons fate, she gave him wings. It's Ethan's choice whether or not learn how to use them, and he'd still have the problem of getting stabbed by the shards of his own weapon, but it gives him a fighting chance of survival once Cronos drop kicks him down 600 stories. Do ya see the vision with me here chat. I know most people don't like Nemesis very much, but I'm such a sucker for "child who would do anything for their parent(s) to just look at them" and "parent who's trying their best and loves them but doesn't want to hurt them by getting too close" dynamic UEUUHHGHGGGJGH.
Sorry for the word wall oh my goodness but I hope you liked it 😭😭

"Please hold me?" For Nemesis and Ethan? Au or not, your choice
for the request game
"Please hold me," Ethan shakily whispers.
Even with his eye level being dead-on at her shoulders, Ethan still feels the way her gaze narrows downwards at him. The feeling is pretty hard to miss—it's like lava was pouring straight through his skull, lava made up of the memories that made him the most furious, the most vengeful.
"Why?"
Waking up to an empty, cramped apartment, and falling asleep with it still empty, knowing that his father's employer was a merciless bastard. Watching his father, who'd lived a thankless life, die an equally thankless death when he put himself between a runaway child and a robber. The robber stepping over his father's still-warm body and unhinge suddenly serpentine jaws to swallow the child whole. The satyr chucking him into a cabin of forgettables despite all the shame, the loss he'd endured to get to Camp.
All the times his body froze up, all the times he lowered his head and forced himself to believe that he couldn't have done anything about the situation. All the times he had ignored the capacity to be a scourge—when he should've known that retribution was a blessing, not an omen, and it ran in his blood. The ability to make others answerable for their actions was a privilege in this world.
So why was he freezing up again? Surely the tip of the blade pointed towards his eye was no more gruesome than the dead bodies he saw in his dreams every night.
"The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak," Ethan mumbles—an offhand phrase he remembers from his Sunday school sessions.
"Are you saying you do not have the strength?" Nemesis coldly asks. "All I require is your eye."
The knife shakes in his hand. "Rather that I do not have your strength."
"Of course you don't. You're just a whelp. You'll live no longer than your father did."
"Make my hand yours, and it won't matter how long I live. I will be your vengeance."
"Hmm. Drop the knife."
It takes every bit of his strength to not drop to his knees and sob in relief as well. He knows his mother well enough to know that she's not rescinding her command.
Golden light encases his hand, weaving intricate patterns atop the tip of his index finger. Two little arches rise above his nail as if to form an extended claw, and when they meet, the light glitches blood-red.
"Much easier to pluck it out like this, no?" Nemesis' hand comes to rest on his shoulder, and Ethan sees that she has a similar magical claw extending from her index finger, too. From below, her other hand prods his elbow upwards.
Flashes of golden and blood-red fill the vision of his left eye. His mother steps away.
"Do it quickly. I will continue whatever you have managed to finish."

^^ thats the vibe lol but magical lights ✨✨✨
anyway this is a result of me coming to the conclusion that the most fucked up way for the eye offering to happen is if ethan maims his eye first then nemesis carves it out to seal the deal. talk about a tiger mom

I'm here to cause drama. Worst characteristics of eachother and their kids?
Nemesis: There has never been an easier question, Hecate, how do i describe it? She doesn't hold herself like a god of her power really should, I am used to dealing with gods of all kinds acting as if they are more powerful or command more authority than they do but Hecate has the opposite problem. I feel no shame in admitting she's more powerful than me but the way she acts wouldn't tell you that. She acts like a mortal and it especially shows with her children. It's honestly embarrassing. Torrington has the opposite problem where he acts like hubris is all he has, if he wasn't Hecate's son he would be dead.
Hecate: Awfully long complaint.
Nemesis: And I stand by it. Morpheus doesn't have inhibitions and it's going to get him killed. He's only second to Eris in that regard and that is not a good thing. I... I don't have anything against his children considering I know nothing about any of them. hmm, I don't think Rachel has the spine for here and my son was wasting his time on her.
Morpheus: Why- You know what nevermind. Nemesis, as I've said before, is far too ruthless. I acknowledge that's apart of her job but it doesn't mean it should reflect on us or her own kids. The thing I hate about Ethan is that he pushes all that aside, I understand why but it doesn't mean I don't dislike it. It's pitiful. Hecate isn't the most trustworthy goddess to have on our side and I'm not entirely certain she would stay on our side should something go wrong. Torrington is so fiercely loyal to his mother that it becomes the same problem as before,it's almost amplified consider Torrington leads basically all his siblings plus members of the army. If Hecate chooses to leave our side we'd have quite the uphill battle ahead of us. I should clarify that 'our side' mean mine and Nemesis', what I said about her is true but she is my closest ally here, she's always been, she's the reason I'm here after all.
Hecate: I don't have much against either of them, and especially not their kids. Morpheus is incredibly cryptic and strange. Even on a good day it's hard to trust him and I suppose Rachel shares that quality, even if it's out of her control. Nemesis keeps trying to tell me how to raise my kids and it's getting a little annoying. Ethan does tend to act incredibly skttish in front of people he sees as authority and it's a little uncomfortable.

Morpheus cabin headcanons?
Sure! Since they're alike and I already had this planned, I figured it wouldn't hurt to put them together, if that's okay.
Hypnos and Morpheus Cabin Headcanons
They've got those sleepy, melancholy eyes. But they never have eye bags
They surprisingly have a lot of energy. They can definitely hold their own in a fight. They just prefer to be asleep.
They tend to lucid dream. And they can do astral projection. They exit their bodies while they're asleep and mess with the other campers, who are oblivious.
They called their mortal parent "mommy", "mama", "daddy", etc for a very long time.
They wear really comfortable, silk clothing all of the time.
The Nemesis cabin comes to them sometimes to ask them to haunt the dreams of someone who wronged them. They always do.
They welcome all demigods into their cabin to chase away their nightmares, until they give the Hypnos kids a reason to kick them out.
They can talk to Hypnos in their dreams, and he absolutely loves his kids.
Their parents are either severe insomniacs or have narcolepsy. They also tend to be doctors.
Their fatal flaw could be laziness, or just not caring in general, but I think feeling inferior is a common one. Their dad is the god of sleep, so upon being claimed, they automatically assume that they aren't worth anything. He isn't a major god and they don't realize when they use their powers for a long time.
They make dream catchers with the Iris cabin.
Children of Morpheus can create illusions. In dreams or in real life. It's not like the mist where it becomes solid to those who can't see through it. It's more like a projection that only select people can see. They can still walk through it like it didn't exist. But they're very realistic.
Children of Morpheus tend to help out in the infirmary, giving good dreams to injured and unconscious demigods. They can lull someone to sleep just by holding them in their arms. They would have prophetic dreams in this state. Great, but not for date night.
Children of Morpheus grow poppies in their cabin.
Children of Hypnos and Morpheus are great friends with children of Iris.
Rarely, children of Morpheus will inherit a winged ear.

a mother's love (anger, blood and tears)
Teen and Up, 2,252 words, Talking, Cigarettes, Underage Smoking, Mommy Issues, Emotional Hurt
"We do not need to talk for me to know her wants, mother and I."
Some days, Silena was so sure of her final decision when she had called Luke with the old, beat-up phone her father snuck inside her bags whenever she came back to camp after a visit. So certain that spying and betraying her home would be worth it if it meant her loved ones would finally be safe, whether that be from monsters, Titans or from their own parents.
My TA exchange week ( @titan-army-fan ) gift for @artemx746 !!! Which may or may not be inspired by the server emojis.

Favourite bits of Ethan characterisation?
In canon it’s how utterly loyal he is to Nemesis, it’s a good change from the usual begrudging respect that the gods usually get. It works as a nice parallel to early Annabeth and it gives a lot to analyse about Ethan’s betrayal of Kronos at the end of TLO. It’s pretty clear to see that Nemesis doesn’t lover her son and Ethan probably knows that too, it’s very jarring to go from Ethan’s descriptions of her to actually seeing her in MoA and, while I do have my complaints about how Rick writes her, I do think it makes sense for her to not to have that much love for Ethan. And, to an extent, Ethan‘s love for her isn’t just because she’s his mother but rather she exists as the physical embodiment of everything he stands for. He loves the idea of Nemesis and him being useful to her allows him to reach his goal, with the added bonus that she could give him any form of affection.
In fanon it’s how his loyalty, or lack thereof, to the army goes against Alabaster’s undying loyalty to Kronos. I love how, specifically in Ethabaster scenarios, how people write them together while this very big difference between them always has the potential to drive them apart

i'm headcanoning that Tyche denies having anything to do with fortune cookies and everyone thinks Nemesis is just crazy for saying other wise.
Tyche is lying of course, she does control them. She just lies about it to piss off Nemesis.
