I feel like a fundamental misunderstanding that some writers have with Constantine is that they think he's an innately bad and cruel person at heart.

No!! He's a good person who does bad things! The contradiction of him wanting to be good and BEING good at heart versus the necessary (and sometimes unnecessary but badly thought out) evils he commits is what makes him interesting. He's incredibly flawed, he can be jaded, he can be stupid, he can even be cruel, but under it all, he's good.

It's not often that he finds himself in such position, but it does happen.

John Constantine never would have thought he'd scratch the "tied up by a cult to be used as sacrifice to summon a powerful ghost" spot on his bingo card.

He doesn't even feel threatened by the cult, hell, all he will receive from this day is pure embarrassment if the summoning circle is really the one he thinks it is.

If he has to listen to that badly scripted American movie summoning ritual one more word, he's gonna do some serious damage.

The circle lights up in sickly green, the ectoplasm flooding the insides of the portal as it opens.

And there he stands, the boyprince of the Infinity Realms.

"Hey, dad!" The being greets, swinging a swift fist against one of the cultist.

The rest are frozen and now that they're alone John sees the shit eating grin on the gremlins face.

"Danny." He greets back, watching as his kid swipes some invisible dust from his hat and putting it on back.

"Man, this is so embarrassing for you. Let me just—"

To make matters worse, Danny pulls out his bloody smartphone and takes a picture of him tied up.

"I'm sending this to mom." He's fiddling with the rope, smug smirk on him that John would love to flip off if his hands weren't bound.

"Useless..."

Ah, here comes the blackmail. A kids after his own heart.

And rules? Well, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d say we’re about to break a good number of them tonight. Or have you forgotten about everything laid out in your contract so clearly?” 

Too distracted by Potter’s proximity, Regulus doesn’t manage a proper response and settles for a headshake. This close, Potter’s scent floods his nose and his lungs, filling him like an appetizer for what’s about to happen, and it’s disconcerting how much the ordinary combination of mint from his mouthwash and cedar from—soap? cologne? have Regulus’ body tied up in knots. 

No. No. That’s just the nervousness getting the better of me. This is nothing but a business deal. All part of my plan. And Potter is a tool. Wait. No. An instrument helping me carry the plan out.

Potter retracts from Regulus, adopting a no-nonsense manner. “Bedroom?” 

“Well. Um. Yes. That sounds acceptable. Unless you’d prefer to fuck me on the sofa.” Okay, it’s safe to say the situation is spinning out of control. How does Potter manage to blow his carefully orchestrated program to pieces with nothing but a grin and swagger? 

“Let’s call that option B.”

you can’t knowingly fuck a criminal and then turn around and get mad at them for doing something unethical, dubiously moral or illegal that directly involves you. what about this man made you think he follows the laws, is ethical or even moral? you knew damn well that he killed people for a living. how are you going to date someone whose probably on the FBI’s most wanted list (top 10) and then turn around and be surprised that he invaded your privacy? make it make sense. you can be mad at him all you want but shawty the man has proven time and time again who he is as a person. if this mother fucker is out here willingly killing bitches and has probably broken the geneva convention on multiple occasions what makes you think you’ll be exempt 😭? don’t be shy share with the class?

Given that Dale said he was locked up in the vickys dungeon for 7 years does that mean Vicky was 9 when she did it? Because she’s 16 in FOP, and if that’s true I assume it’s safe to say that Dales also younger than her, so does that mean he was locked up in the dungeon since he was 8 or even younger?

No wonder he’s so messed up if before he was freed the last time he saw the outside was when he was 7 and got out when he was 14, I’m surprised he’s even this stable

i'm so surprised that people didn't like the ending of ghosts??? i thought it was perfect. alison felt like she couldn't leave the house because of the ghosts, they would have been devastated and she would have always felt guilty. the ghosts came into her life at the perfect time, she needed to feel like part of a family and the ghosts needed her. but she's got her own family now, things have changed and the ghosts letting her go and telling her it was okay to move on means she can move on with no guilt.

The brainstorming I've done so far for my cod x Iliad

As I just arrived on vacation I can't work much on it for now, but I've got some thoughts. (I've written all of that in about 24h so it's very very much still a draft)

Characters from one franchise won't be associated with specific charas from the other franchise (bc except for ghoap/odydio I can't think of anything). It's just the Iliad guys in CoD setting.

So the Achaeans/Trojans would be like Specgru/Kortac

Agammenon is captain, obviously. Nestor is retired from going on operations, but still works with them.

Ody's callsign is Nobody, even more obviously (I need to look at others' epithets, but it's a bit tough bc callsigns r usually just one word...)

Achilles and Diomedes are both very young (for their rank) and killing machines. The main difference is that Achilles is dangerously unstable while Diomedes is very obedient to his superiors.

Maybe the gods would be some higher ups ?? (Idk the actual world) That the guys rarely ever see but their orders can't be dismissed or questioned. ("Wtf that's practically a suicide mission" "The orders r direct from Zeus. He says the potential losses are worth it")

If I ever write about it I'm thinking of doing a format, like, each chapter is a mission (or shenanigans on base(or a bit of both?) to introduce the setting, characters, dynamics, ect... And then maybe after some chaps going for an actual plot or a few subplots (ykw's gonna happen to Pat)
