Why Are Natural Skin Care Products Better for You?
Tumblr media
Organic products are usually gentler
Typical skin care solutions contain unnecessary fillers. These can cause skin irritation and create long-term harm. Many chemical-free skincare products, on the other hand, are milder over time because they do not contain superfluous fillers. In the end, you will have healthier skin.

Review of B.LAB's Matcha Hydrating Real Sun Screen SPF50+ PA++++
B.LAB is a Korean nature-oriented brand that provides comfort to tired skin. They're also known for high-quality products made from natural ingredients. Their Matcha Hydrating Real Sun Screen is a chemical sunscreen designed to hydrate and protect skin without feeling greasy. Key ingredients include: 940ppm of green tea leaf water (toning, soothing, hydrating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging), ice plant extract (antioxidant, moisture-rich, hydrating, strengthens skin barrier), terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid (chemical filter, anti-aging, provides effective protection from UVA rays), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (chemical filter, ideal for protection against UVA rays, extremely skin safe for all skin types) and niacinamide (whitening, lightening, anti-aging, rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle). This product retails for between $10-15 USD, you can get it here for $14.40 + shipping. Currently, you can get it on sale for $6.29 + shipping.
Ingredients
Water, Dibutyl Adipate, Methylpropanediol, Alcohol Denat., Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Polysilicone-15, Tromethamine, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Caprylyl Methicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Dipropylene Glycol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Polyether-1, Carbomer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water (940ppm), Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Butylene Glycol, Menthyl Lactate, Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum (Iceplant) Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol
Tumblr media
This sunscreen contains 50 ml (1.69 oz) and is fragrance-free.
Tumblr media
The sunblock has a very light cream texture and feels a little wet on the skin.
Tumblr media
It blends out really easily and really doesn't feel like a sunscreen.
Tumblr media
It absorbs quickly and leaves skin really hydrated and not overly tacky.
Tumblr media
There's no flashback or noticeable white cast at all under flash.
Recommended use is to apply the sunscreen and smooth it over the skin and blend and tap into the skin for better absorption. This brand is cruelty-free and uses clean ingredients, it's also fragrance-free. After using, I do personally have somewhat sensitive skin and some sunscreens really irritate my eyes, I did notice a bit of tingling due to the menthyl lactate in the ingredients but otherwise no issues around my eye area. I also have dry skin and I think this works great without any added moisturizer underneath, but it also layers well and does a good job underneath makeup, no pilling at all. There's not really any scent of ingredients that I've noticed too much and of course, it's free of artificial fragrance. The thing that really sticks out to me in Korean and Japanese sunscreens is that you can put these on your lips and not have that kind of unpleasant sunscreen taste. The ingredients are great, minus a couple of ingredients. The cooling tingle is noticeable but not terrible or overly irritating for me, but if you can't handle anything like that, then best to avoid this one. I'd recommend this to anyone with dry and dehydrated skin, people who have sensitive skin, and people who need a lightweight formula.
What I like: I'd like to make it clear, this sunscreen is probably my favorite that I've ever tried and I feel like I don't hear people talking about it. It's also very affordable and I do actually wish they'd make a version with 100 ml. I enjoy the texture and it works so well under makeup. What I don't like: the slightly cooling tingle could irritate very sensitive skin.
Pros:
Moisturizing
Hydrating
Gentle
Layers well
No pilling
Safe around the eyes
Lovely formula
Great texture
Affordable
Smooths over the skin so nicely
Fragrance-free
Cons:
Has a couple irritants
Would I buy this again?
Yes, for sure
Rating: 10/10

Plant Witch Vibes: Whippin' Up Comfort in My Herb Garden
Yo, witches and herbal nerds unite! I'm Elise and ditching the drugstore aisle for my own DIY garden apothecary has been a game-changer. Tired of those sterile white bottles and questionable ingredients? Yeah, me too. So, I traded them for sunshine-kissed herbs and grandma-approved remedies.
Tumblr media
My windowsill started it all. Basil, thyme, lavender – their vibrant hues and heady scents were like a siren song. I devoured herbalism books, absorbing ancient wisdom like a thirsty sponge. Turns out, plants ain't just pretty faces; they're potent allies with healing secrets whispered in their leaves.
From those whispers, I birthed my first salve: calendula magic for cuts and scrapes. The golden goo, infused with love and sunshine, mended more than just skin; it soothed anxious minds too. Word spread like dandelion fluff, and soon, my neighbors were knocking, ailments in tow.
Each problem became a herbal puzzle. Winter blues? Elderberry and echinacea, nature's flu fighters. Aching muscles? Arnica and chamomile, a soothing balm for warriors. My garden became a haven, overflowing with green magic, and I, the plant whisperer, crafting comfort in every jar.
Tumblr media
But hold up, it wasn't all sunshine and daisies. Doubts crept in, like weeds in a flowerbed. "Is this just hippie mumbo jumbo?" they hissed. But then, a crinkled smile from a pain-free grandma, a child's giggle after a bee sting healed – those were my validation.
Now, my garden's a vibrant tapestry of healing herbs and salves are like tiny hugs in a jar. It's more than just remedies; it's a connection to nature, a reminder that healing magic grows right under our feet. So, if you're tired of the chemical jungle, come join me, fellow plant witches! Let's cultivate comfort, one herb at a time.

Review of By Wishtrend's UV Defense Moist Cream SPF50+/PA++++
By Wishtrend is a skincare line formulated by Wishtrend, many of their products are designed for sensitive skin types. Their UV Defense Moist Cream was created for the Wishtrend community. It's designed as a quadruple sunscreen which provides full protection against UVA, UVB, infrared radiation, and blue light. Key ingredients include 5,000ppm of panthenol (penetrates deeply into the skin, hydrating, helps to infuse water into the cells, moisturizing), adenosine (anti-aging, promotes collagen and elastin production, anti-wrinkle), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (chemical filter, ideal for protection against UVA rays, extremely skin safe for all skin types), tinosorb S (synthetic UV filter, especially efficient when you want high UV protection, improves stability of the other sunscreen ingredients), terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid (chemical filter, anti-aging, provides effective protection from UVA rays), chamomile flower water (anti-acne, nourishing, moisturizing, removes and soothes blemishes, hydrating) and licorice root extract (skin brightening, fades blemishes, soothing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant). This product retails for between $22-28 USD, you can get it here for $22.40 + shipping. Use code DANNIEL15 to save a further 15 percent.
Ingredients
Water, Homosalate, Butylene Glycol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Glycerin, Phenyl Trimethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Silica, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Dibutyl Adipate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Behenyl Alcohol, Tromethamine, Panthenol (5,000ppm), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Water, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glyceryl Caprylate, C12-15 Alcohols, Stearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Palmitic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Phytosterols, T-Butyl Alcohol, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Myristic Acid, Lauric Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol
To quickly note, I received this for free from Wishtrend for my honest review.
Tumblr media
This sunscreen contains 50 grams (1.76 oz) and is fragrance-free.
Tumblr media
The sunscreen does have a similar appearance to mineral sunscreens at first look. It's thick but not overwhelmingly so.
Tumblr media
It does however blend out like a moisturizer and I didn't notice any streakiness. It does have a very sunscreen-y scent but it doesn't stick around for long.
Tumblr media
It's extremely hydrating and moisturizing, it plumps the skin and doesn't feel super tacky or look greasy.
Tumblr media
It does brighten some under flash, but it's not a major problem as it's a chemical sunscreen, if you have medium to dark skin, probably avoid this one.
Tumblr media
It sits extremely well under makeup and it's a very hydrating base, I'd say you could skip other moisturizers and just use this or you have very very dry skin.
Recommended use is to apply the cream over the face at the last step of your daily skincare. This sunscreen is cruelty-free, pH-balanced, and free of artificial coloring, fragrances, and ethanol and vegan. After using, so to note this does have kind of a typical sunscreen scent but it's not overwhelming and does dissipate pretty quickly; in addition to that, there are no notable irritants in the ingredients. The sunscreen sits nicely on the skin and doesn't pill or bunch up under makeup. It absorbs into the skin and is very hydrating, I think this makes a great moisturizer on its own. I did find this would irritate my eyes, however, so I had to be cautious about that. This also is pretty light so it could or could not be an issue on tan to dark skin. This sunscreen comes with a pump dispenser, the only nitpick I guess that I have is that I prefer to do the 2 finger method and it's usually easier to do with a squeeze tube. It also is not a great option for throwing in a bag as it's not the smallest container. I'd recommend this to anyone really, I find that it's gentle and moisturizing.
What I like: I enjoyed how hydrating and moisturizing this product is. It's great under makeup and it absorbs very nicely. It's very gentle and free of fragrance and irritants. What I don't like: I have no issues with this.
Pros:
Moisturizing
Hydrating
Gentle
Sits well under makeup
Nice quality
Fragrance-free
No irritants
Cons:
None
Would I buy this?
Yes
Rating: 10/10
