You woke up the next morning full of energy and excitement, a surge of confidence pulsing through you in a way you hadn’t felt before. The memory of the previous night lingered in your mind, a tantalizing promise of what was to come. After you had returned home, you had spent hours meticulously preparing yourself for the day ahead. You had carefully placed your hair in rollers, ensuring each curl would fall just right, and applied a face mask to sleep in, hoping it would leave your skin glowing and flawless by morning. Today, you needed to look your absolute best.
The anticipation of possibly running into Rafe at Sarah's house added an extra layer of excitement. You wanted to make an impression, to stand out in his memory. It was more than just looking good; it was about exuding confidence and poise, about being memorable.
You sprang out of bed, feeling a burst of determination. The morning sun streamed through your window, casting a warm, golden light across your room. You caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and smiled, feeling a renewed sense of purpose.
In the bathroom, you carefully removed the face mask, revealing soft, radiant skin beneath. You took your time getting ready, savoring each step of the process. The rollers came out next, and you gently tousled your hair until it fell in perfect waves around your face. Makeup followed, applied with a precision that reflected your dedication to perfection.
Lastly was your outfit, and you knew it had to be jaw-dropping. You rummaged through your walk-in closet, fingers trailing over fabrics and textures as you searched for the perfect attire. Before anything else, you slipped on your favorite bathing suit—a berry blue string bikini that hugged your body in all the right places, leaving just enough to the imagination. It was bold, daring, and exactly the statement you wanted to make.
You stood in front of your closet, contemplating your options. The light from the window filtered through sheer curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Your eyes landed on a short, form-fitting sundress that was pure white, like freshly fallen snow. The dress promised to highlight your tan and contrast perfectly with the vibrant bikini beneath.
Slipping into the sundress, you admired how it clung to your curves, the delicate fabric whispering against your skin. The white dress exuded an innocent charm while hinting at the allure of what lay beneath. You added a few touches to enhance the look—a pair of gold earrings that caught the light with every movement and a matching bracelet that jingled softly with each step.
Standing before the mirror, you took in the complete picture. The white sundress and berry blue bikini created a striking image, a balance of purity and boldness that made you feel both confident and captivating. You added a touch of lip gloss, a hint of shimmer that made your smile even brighter, and a spritz of your favorite perfume, a scent that lingered in the air like a promise.
You knew that you had a few hours to spare, so you spent your time trying to calm your nerves, each moment stretching out like a thread in a delicate tapestry. You packed with meticulous care: sunscreen to guard against the sun's embrace, sunglasses to shield your eyes from its dazzling glare, and shots to fortify your courage for the encounter you both dreaded and longed for. You knew facing Rafe Cameron would require more than just poise; it would require liquid bravery, so you prepared accordingly.
As the minutes slipped by, you double-checked your bag, ensuring every essential was in place. The anticipation thrummed beneath your skin, an electric current of excitement and anxiety. You could almost feel the cool blue water of Sarah's pool, the sun’s warm caress, and the mingled sounds of laughter and splashing.
By the time you were ready to leave, your heart pounded with an eager rhythm. You hurried out the door, each step quick and purposeful. The morning light spilled over you, casting everything in a golden hue that seemed to shimmer with promise. You left little room for your parents’ inevitable questions, offering only a swift, “Goodbye, love you!” as you breezed past them.
Their voices called after you, faint echoes in the morning air, but you were already moving forward, the door clicking shut behind you like a final punctuation mark. The world outside was vibrant and full of potential, each step bringing you closer to Sarah’s house and the day’s unfolding adventures. The thought of seeing Rafe again sent a shiver of anticipation through you, blending with the fresh evening air into a heady mix of expectation and excitement.
The ride to Sarah's house felt quick, though you were sure it was your nerves speeding up time. As you pulled into her driveway, you found yourself gawking at the sprawling white mansion ahead. You knew she was a Kook, but the scale of her family's wealth hadn't truly registered until now. The mansion stood like a gleaming palace, its grandeur almost surreal.
Hopping out of your car, you felt a fluttering excitement mixed with anxiety. Your nerves burst in the pit of your stomach as you approached the front door. Hesitantly, you knocked, the sound echoing in the still air. Stepping back, you crossed your arms, trying to contain the nervous energy coursing through you while you waited.
The door finally swung open, revealing Sarah herself, her smile bright and welcoming. She looked effortlessly chic, her blonde hair catching the sunlight like spun gold.
"Hey! Come on in," she greeted you warmly, pulling you into a hug.
"Hey, Sarah!" you replied, returning the embrace. "Your house is...wow."
She laughed, a musical sound that immediately put you at ease. "Thanks. It's home, I guess. I hope you're okay with a few other people being here. Rafe decided to invite his friends without telling me." She rolled her eyes, but your heart fluttered at the mention of his name. The realization that he was there sent a fresh wave of nerves through you, your excitement now tinged with anxious anticipation.
As you followed Sarah through the grand foyer, the mansion felt almost surreal in its grandeur. The air inside was cool and refreshing, a sharp contrast to the sun’s heat outside, each step on the polished marble floor echoing your heightened heartbeat. The rooms you passed were filled with elegant furniture and art, each piece meticulously placed, reflecting a wealth that was as old as it was vast.
Stepping out onto the patio, the sight before you took your breath away. The pool sparkled like a sapphire, its surface kissed by the sunlight, surrounded by lush greenery and perfectly manicured lawns. A few people lounged by the water, their laughter and conversation blending harmoniously with the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant hum of cicadas. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass, a sensory reminder of the opulence that enveloped you.
Sarah led you to a set of cushioned chairs near the pool. "Make yourself at home," she said, her gesture inviting you to relax. "Do you want something to drink? We’ve got everything."
You nodded, trying to steady the nerves that fluttered in your chest. "Sure, that’d be great. Surprise me."
As Sarah walked over to the bar to fetch drinks, you took a deep breath and let your eyes wander, absorbing the atmosphere. The water in the pool shimmered under the sun's golden light, and the sounds of distant laughter and soft conversation created a soothing backdrop. Your thoughts drifted to Rafe, wondering how he would react upon seeing you.
Before Sarah got back, you snuck a shot from your tote, swallowing it quickly and savoring the burn as it went down. You made sure nobody saw you, tucking the small bottle back into your bag with a swift, practiced motion. The liquid courage began to warm your veins, steadying your nerves just as Sarah returned.
She handed you a glass filled with a burgundy liquid, a pleased smile on her face. "I hope you like vodka. These are my favorite," she chirped, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
You took the glass, surprised and delighted. "Actually, vodka-crans are my favorite, so you did well," you said with a smile, lifting the glass to take a sip.
The tart, sweet flavor washed over your tongue, blending perfectly with the warmth from the shot you had taken moments before. Sarah settled into the chair beside you, her presence warm and comforting.
As you both sat there, the sunlight playing on the water's surface, you felt a sense of calm begin to settle over you. The distant laughter and soft music created a serene backdrop, blending with the scents of blooming flowers and the gentle rustle of the wind through the trees. Your earlier nerves began to dissipate, replaced by a growing sense of anticipation.
As the energy on the patio began to wane, the sound of male voices emanating from inside the house caught your attention like a sudden gust of wind. You turned to Sarah, your expression knit with confusion, prompting her to follow your gaze and investigate the noise.
"It's just Rafe and his friends," she groaned, her frustration palpable as she tossed her sunglasses back over her eyes.
The voices grew louder as they approached, the sound of laughter and conversation becoming more distinct with each passing moment. Your heart quickened its pace, a mix of excitement and apprehension swirling within you like a tempest.
Sarah sighed, her irritation evident as she shook her head slightly. "I swear, they always manage to show up and cause a scene."
You watched as the sliding patio doors opened, revealing Rafe and his entourage. They strolled out with an air of confidence, beers in hand, their laughter echoing off the walls. Rafe led the group, his presence commanding attention effortlessly. His stride was casual yet purposeful, his gaze scanning the patio until it landed on you.
For a fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still. Your breath caught in your throat as you met Rafe's intense gaze, the weight of his scrutiny sending a thrill down your spine. In the daylight, he looked even more striking, his tanned skin bathed in sunlight, his crisp white shirt accentuating the lean lines of his physique.
"Rafe, can you not take over everything for once?" Sarah called out, her voice a mix of exasperation and affection. She rose from her chair, her arms crossed as she approached her brother.
Rafe offered a nonchalant shrug, a mischievous grin playing at the corners of his lips. "Just having a little fun, Sarah. You know how it is."
His friends dispersed around the patio, some heading for the pool while others made a beeline for the bar. The atmosphere shifted, an infectious energy buzzing in the air. Rafe lingered by the door, his gaze lingering on you like a beam of sunlight.
"Nice to see you again, Y/N," Rafe remarked, his voice smooth like honey, with a subtle smirk playing at the corners of his lips. His gaze lingered on you, his eyes tracing the lines of your dress with an intensity that made your cheeks flush hot with embarrassment. You couldn't help but feel a shiver run down your spine as you wondered what thoughts were crossing his mind, oblivious to what lay beneath the fabric.
"Hi, Rafe," you replied, your voice coming out almost sheepishly as you struggled to maintain eye contact with him. Your heart hammered in your chest like a wild drumbeat, the air between you thick with unspoken tension. You found yourself holding your breath, waiting for his next move, unsure of what to expect but unable to tear your gaze away from his magnetic presence.
"Where's your Yale friend? She busy trying to get an acceptance letter or something?" Rafe's voice, laced with mischief, broke through the chatter like a sudden gust of wind. His gaze lingered on you, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips, as if he found amusement in your presence.
"Rafe! Leave her alone," she interjected, her voice carrying a hint of exasperation. She shot her brother a reproachful glare, a silent warning not to push further. "Sadie couldn't come because she was sick, okay?"
Rafe's smirk softened into a grin, a glint of mischief still dancing in his eyes as he raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright. No need to get defensive," he replied, his tone teasing but affectionate.
Rafe finally made his way over to his friends gathered at the pool, his movements exuding a casual grace that seemed effortless. With practiced ease, he stripped off his shirt, revealing a chiseled physique that drew your gaze like a magnet. You couldn't tear your eyes away as he discarded the shirt, the fabric landing with a soft thud on the ground beside him.
Undeniably, you found yourself gawking at him, your heart pounding in your chest as you drank in the sight before you. The way his abs were perfectly defined, each muscle carved with precision, made your breath catch in your throat. His bronzed skin seemed to gleam in the sunlight, accentuating every contour and curve of his body. As he moved, the veins in his biceps stood out like a network of rivers, a testament to his strength and vitality.
You felt a sudden wave of weakness wash over you, your knees threatening to buckle beneath you as you struggled to maintain your composure. Your eyes followed his figure as he strode confidently to the edge of the pool, the anticipation building with each step. With a fluid motion, he dove into the water, the surface rippling and shimmering in the sunlight as he disappeared beneath the surface.
You watched, transfixed, as he resurfaced, joining his friends in whatever game they were playing. The laughter and splashing echoed in the air, a backdrop to the scene unfolding before you. Despite the playful atmosphere, your thoughts remained fixed on Rafe, his presence casting a spell over you that you couldn't shake.
You were brought out of your trance by the sound of Rafe's friend calling out to you and Sarah, his voice cutting through the air like a playful challenge. "Hey, you guys wanna join? We're playing water polo and we need another player!"
Your eyes widened in surprise at the unexpected invitation, uncertainty flickering in your gaze as you glanced over at Sarah. You weren't sure how to respond, torn between the desire to join in the fun and the reluctance to disrupt your carefully arranged appearance.
"Well, I can't," Sarah replied with a wry grin, her tone laced with humor. "I just got my hair bleached; I can't get it wet!"
Your heart raced as you felt the weight of their collective gaze, their expectant stares burning into your skin like a spotlight. The pressure to join in was palpable, amplified by the intensity of Rafe's gaze as he watched you with unabashed interest.
Despite the overwhelming urge to retreat, you knew that backing out now would only lead to disappointment, both from the boys and from yourself. With a resigned sigh, you reluctantly agreed to join, your voice tinged with reluctance but determination.
"Alright, I guess I'll play, but just one round," you conceded, the sound of the boys' cheers and excitement washing over you like a tidal wave.
As you stood up to join them, you couldn't help but steal a glance at Sarah, who offered you a sympathetic look in return. The unspoken understanding between you was comforting, a silent reassurance that you weren't alone in this moment of vulnerability.
With a deep breath, you turned your attention back to the pool, steeling yourself for what was to come. Slowly, you began to strip off your sundress, the fabric slipping from your shoulders like a whisper. Your movements were hesitant, tentative, as you prayed that none of the boys were still paying attention.
But as the dress slid down to your hips, you couldn't help but look up, your gaze inadvertently meeting Rafe's. Time seemed to freeze as you caught him staring back at you, his expression caught between surprise and admiration, his mouth slightly agape.
Heat flooded your cheeks as you quickly averted your gaze, your heart pounding in your chest like a drumbeat. The intensity of his stare lingered like a lingering echo, sending a shiver down your spine as you hurriedly finished removing your dress, the fabric pooling at your feet in a silent surrender to the inevitable.
As you finally stood there, fully exposed in your berry blue bikini, you could feel Rafe's gaze burning into you, more intense and unyielding than ever. It was as if everything else around him faded into background noise, leaving only the sharp focus of his eyes on you. He made no effort to hide his scrutiny, his stare lingering on every inch of your exposed skin, making you feel both powerful and vulnerable under his watchful eyes.
You watched, your heart pounding, as his tongue slowly grazed his bottom lip, a deliberate and almost predatory motion. His eyes darkened, and he took his lower lip into his mouth, biting down on it subtly. The action was slow and deliberate, sending a shiver down your spine. His mouth pressed together afterward, as if he were physically trying to restrain himself from reacting more openly, to keep his jaw from dropping to the floor in sheer astonishment.
The moment stretched on, thick with unspoken tension. You felt your own breath hitch, caught between the thrill of his attention and the anxiety of being so completely seen. Finally, summoning every ounce of confidence you had, you gave him a small, almost imperceptible smile before turning your gaze away, stepping towards the edge of the pool. The cool water beckoned, a welcome respite from the heat of Rafe's gaze.
You took a deep breath and dove in, the water embracing you, its coolness momentarily washing away the intensity of the moment. As you surfaced, you felt a sense of liberation, the water providing a comforting shield from the penetrating stares above. You ran your fingers through your hair, slicking it back, and allowed yourself a moment to adjust to the new sensation.
The boys were already dividing into teams, their laughter and shouts filling the air, a stark contrast to the charged silence that had just passed. You swam over to join them, your heart still pounding but now with a mix of excitement and adrenaline.
"Alright, let's get started!" one of Rafe's friends called out, tossing the ball into the center of the pool. You positioned yourself strategically, ready to play, feeling a surge of determination.
As the game progressed, you could feel Rafe's presence in the pool, his movements fluid and confident. Whenever he came near, the air seemed to crackle with electricity, a silent acknowledgment of the connection that had sparked between you. He was an agile player, his strength and speed undeniable, and you found yourself both admiring and competing with him.
At one point, you found yourself face to face with him, the ball between you. His eyes locked onto yours, a mischievous glint in them, and for a moment, it felt like it was just the two of you, the rest of the world fading into the background. You lunged for the ball, your bodies colliding in the water, a tangle of limbs and splashes.
"Nice try," he murmured, his voice low and teasing, as he managed to wrestle the ball away, his touch lingering on your arm just a second longer than necessary.
You grinned, a mixture of frustration and exhilaration coursing through you. "Don't get too cocky," you shot back, determined to hold your own. The two of you paused for a moment, the world around you dissolving into a blur of motion and sound. His eyes locked onto yours, and for an instant, everything else faded away.
The water shimmered between you, rippling with the energy of your silent exchange. Your chest rose and fell rapidly, your breath mingling with the cool air as you tried to steady your racing heart. The intensity of his gaze was magnetic, pulling you into an unspoken conversation that felt both dangerous and thrilling.
Rafe's lips curved into a cocky grin, a silent promise and challenge in his eyes. He held your gaze for a moment longer, the air thick with tension, before he turned away with a fluid grace. His movement was almost predatory, a display of confidence and strength that left you breathless.
As he walked away, the sunlight glinted off the droplets of water on his skin, creating a halo of shimmering light. You stood there, rooted to the spot, the pounding of your heart echoing in your ears. The game continued around you, voices and laughter blending into a distant hum, but your focus remained on the lingering sensation of his presence.
You felt a shiver run down your spine, a mix of irritation at his arrogance and excitement at the intensity of his attention. The undeniable attraction simmered beneath the surface, leaving you craving more of the electrifying connection. The water, cool and refreshing, was a stark contrast to the heat of your thoughts and the fire he had ignited within you.
You took a deep breath, willing yourself to regain composure, and joined the game once more. But now, every move, every splash, every moment was charged with the memory of that gaze, that grin, and the tantalizing possibility of what might come next.
"Okay, I'm done!" you declared, throwing your hands on your hips as you tried to catch your breath. You realized you were too weak to keep going. "I'm gonna go get a drink. You guys keep playing." With that, you exited the pool, feeling the cool air against your damp skin.
Grabbing your towel from the nearby chair, you wrapped it around your hips, securing it with a tight knot. You glanced at Sarah, who had been watching the game from the sidelines. "Where are the drinks?" you asked, your voice slightly hoarse from exertion.
She motioned toward the kitchen with a smile. "Just inside. Help yourself."
Nodding in gratitude, you made your way inside, the sounds of the pool fading behind you. The cool tile underfoot was a welcome contrast to the heat of the afternoon sun. Entering the kitchen, you immediately headed for the fridge, your mind focused solely on finding something to quench your thirst.
You pulled open the fridge door and, to your relief, found a row of cold water bottles neatly lined up. You snatched one, twisted off the cap, and tilted your head back, taking large, satisfying gulps. The cold water was refreshing, soothing your parched throat and cooling you from the inside out.
As you lowered the bottle, you closed your eyes for a moment, savoring the sensation. The kitchen was quiet, a peaceful contrast to the lively scene outside. You could still hear faint laughter and splashing from the pool, but in here, it was just you and the cool, calming stillness. You leaned against the counter, catching your breath and letting your thoughts settle.
The brief solitude gave you a chance to process everything that had happened: the unexpected intensity of Rafe's gaze, the way your heart had raced under his scrutiny, and the unfamiliar feelings he stirred within you. It was exhilarating and unsettling all at once, leaving you with a sense of anticipation you hadn't felt before.
You took another sip of water, lost in your thoughts, when the sound of approaching footsteps drew your attention. You looked up to see Rafe standing in the doorway, his presence instantly commanding the room. His hair was damp, and water glistened on his skin, catching the light in a way that made your breath hitch once more.
"Couldn't handle the game?" he teased, his voice low and slightly breathless, matching the intensity of his gaze. You were caught by surprise at the sound of his voice, feeling small and vulnerable in his presence.
Peering up at him in silence for a brief second, you felt your mind racing as he stood over you, his eyes never leaving yours. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you in a bubble of charged silence. "I just needed a drink," you managed to reply, your voice softer than intended, almost a whisper.
Rafe nodded at your reply, a small hum escaping the depths of his throat. "You were pretty good out there, Princeton," he commented, the nickname carrying a subtle edge, as if he was both taunting and admiring your goody-two-shoes ways. His voice was a velvet drawl, laced with a challenge that made your heart flutter.
A flush of embarrassment warmed your cheeks at the unexpected compliment and the moniker he’d chosen for you. Clearing your throat, you averted your eyes to the tiled floor, feeling the intensity of Rafe's gaze burning into you like the summer sun. "Oh, thanks," you laughed half-heartedly, the sound more a nervous flutter than genuine amusement. "Sports aren't really my thing, so..."
He leaned closer, just enough for his presence to envelop you, the faint scent of chlorine and his cologne mingling in the air between you. "Could've fooled me," he murmured, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "You held your own out there."
The compliment, however backhanded it might have been, sent a thrill through you. You risked a glance up, meeting his piercing blue eyes that seemed to dance with amusement and something else, something darker and more compelling. The kitchen, despite its airy openness, felt suddenly intimate, a bubble separating the two of you from the rest of the world.
"Well, maybe I’m a fast learner," you said, trying to match his nonchalance. Your fingers toyed with the edge of your water bottle, the cool condensation a stark contrast to the heat blooming in your chest.
Rafe's smirk deepened, his eyes never leaving yours. "Maybe you are," he agreed softly, the words hanging in the charged air between you. "But I have a feeling you're good at a lot of things, Princeton."
The way he said it, with that low, almost predatory purr, made your pulse quicken. You wondered if he could hear the rapid beating of your heart, feel the electric tension that crackled in the narrow space between your bodies.
You opened your mouth to respond, but the words tangled on your tongue. Instead, you took a steadying breath, the cool air of the kitchen filling your lungs, and tried to regain your composure. "Thanks," you said finally, your voice more composed. "But don't expect to see me at the next water polo match."
Rafe chuckled, a rich, resonant sound that made your skin tingle. "We'll see about that," he said, pushing away from the counter with a fluid grace. "Maybe I'll have to find another way to see what else you're good at."
He toyed with the string of your bikini on the side of your hip, twirling it around his finger with a casual confidence. The simple act felt charged with a silent promise, an acknowledgment that he had the power to undo it if he wanted to. The gesture made you feel even smaller beneath his commanding presence.
Your entire body felt hot, your cheeks surely blushing as you stared down at his fingers, your mouth slightly agape. The room seemed to close in, the air thick with an unspoken tension that left you at a loss for words. Your breath came shallow and quick, your mind racing as you tried to process the whirlwind of sensations his touch ignited.
Rafe’s smirk grew as he observed your reaction, clearly enjoying the effect he had on you. His eyes, dark with intent, bore into yours, and you felt the intensity of his gaze like a physical touch. He leaned in closer, his breath warm against your ear as he whispered, "Just let me know if you need any help... learning new things. Seems like you're good at that."
The words sent a shiver down your spine, your pulse quickening at the proximity of his body to yours. You could feel the heat radiating from him, a magnetic pull that made it difficult to think clearly. The room seemed to shrink around you, the sounds of the party fading into the background as you became acutely aware of every breath, every heartbeat.
Rafe's fingers lingered on the string of your bikini for a moment longer before releasing it, the brief contact leaving a trail of fire on your skin. He pulled back slightly, just enough to lock eyes with you, his gaze unwavering and full of promise.
You swallowed hard, trying to regain your composure and not let your facade crack under the weight of his suggestive words. "I'll let you know if I do," you replied, though your voice wavered slightly, betraying the mix of excitement and nerves coursing through you. Each word felt like a tightrope walk between desire and restraint, and you fought to maintain your cool exterior even as your heart raced in your chest. Swallowing thickly, you held his gaze, determined not to show any sign of weakness in the face of his undeniable charm.
Rafe chuckled lowly, the sound sending a shiver down your spine as his eyes lingered on the string of your bikini for a moment longer. You could feel the weight of his gaze, intense and electrifying, tracing the curve of your body with an almost palpable hunger.
With a subtle smirk draped across his tanned features, he finally tore his gaze away from you, meeting your eyes once more. There was a magnetic pull in the air between you, a silent understanding of the unspoken tension that crackled between you like electricity.
"I'll see you around, Princeton," he said, his voice a low murmur that seemed to echo in the space between you. The nickname rolled off his tongue effortlessly, a teasing reminder of your status as the Ivy League hopeful amidst the chaos of the party.
As Rafe turned away, a rush of conflicting emotions swept over you, leaving you speechless as you watched him confidently make his way back to the patio. His fluid movements and undeniable charisma left you momentarily breathless, a flutter of butterflies erupting in your stomach at the memory of your interaction.
In the quiet solitude of the kitchen, you were left to ponder the significance of your encounter with Rafe. Each moment replayed in your mind like a broken record, the intensity of his gaze and the weight of his words still lingering in the air around you.
Part of you yearned for more, a silent whisper echoing in the recesses of your mind as you replayed the tantalizing moments with Rafe. You couldn't help but wonder what might have transpired if time had slowed, if his touch had lingered a heartbeat longer, or if his words had delved deeper into the depths of your soul.
The questions that danced in the wake of your encounter left an ache of anticipation blooming within you, like a hunger for the forbidden fruit, ripe with the promise of revelation. Each thought, each memory, stirred a longing within you, a primal desire to unravel the enigma that was Rafe Cameron himself.
As you stood in the quiet sanctuary of the kitchen, the distant hum of the party fading into the background, you were consumed by a yearning for more. It was a craving for connection, for intimacy beyond the surface-level exchanges and fleeting glances.
Shaking off the lingering warmth of Rafe’s touch, you took one final gulp of water, bracing yourself for the transition back to reality. The sun’s golden rays embraced you as you stepped onto the patio, your skin tingling from more than just the heat. You approached Sarah with a smile that barely masked the whirlwind inside you.
“Hey, I should get going,” you said, your voice steady despite the tumult within. You reached for your tote bag, its familiar weight grounding you. “My parents want me home for dinner, and I still have to study for exams. I’ll catch you at school?”
Sarah’s expression flickered with disappointment but quickly softened into understanding. “Of course! Thanks for coming by. We’ll definitely do this again soon.”
You nodded, embracing her in a quick hug, the scent of saltwater and sunscreen clinging to both of you. As you turned to leave, the magnetic pull of Rafe’s gaze was almost tangible, an invisible thread that made each step feel weighted with significance. You risked a final glance back and found his eyes still on you, a dark intensity that sent shivers down your spine.
With a final wave to the group, you slipped into your car, the engine’s hum a stark contrast to the lively chatter of the party. The drive home blurred past in a haze, your thoughts replaying the day’s interactions like a symphony of emotions. Each moment with Rafe was a note that resonated deeply, leaving you both exhilarated and yearning for more.
As you pulled into your driveway, the sky painted itself in hues of twilight, the world bathed in a soft, dusky glow. You paused, taking in the serene beauty of the evening, the contrast to the storm within. Stepping out of the car, you felt the weight of the day settling on your shoulders, a mix of excitement and uncertainty.
As you entered your house, the familiar scent of home mingled with the residual aroma of sunscreen and saltwater, creating a unique blend that encapsulated the day’s adventures. The moment you stepped through the door, your parents were upon you, their voices echoing in the foyer with a rapid-fire barrage of questions.
"Who were you with?"
"Where did you go?"
You sighed, trying to muster the energy to answer them calmly. "I was with Sarah Cameron," you said, the name dropping from your lips with practiced ease. "She's in honors society." The mention of Sarah's reputable background seemed to appease them instantly. Their expressions softened, their curiosity sated, and they nodded in approval.
"Alright then," your mother said, a hint of satisfaction in her voice. "Just make sure you get your studying done."
You nodded, relieved as they stepped aside, allowing you to retreat to the sanctuary of your room. The door clicked shut behind you, and you leaned against it, exhaling deeply. The quiet of your room enveloped you, a stark contrast to the cacophony of the party and the intoxicating tension of Rafe's presence.
You took a moment to collect yourself, pushing off the door and moving towards your bed. The evening sunlight filtered through your window, casting soft, golden beams across your room, illuminating the stacks of textbooks and notes that awaited your attention. You dropped your tote bag by the bed, the weight of the day’s events finally settling in.
With a sigh, you changed into more comfortable clothes, the soft fabric a welcome comfort against your skin. You settled at your desk, opening your books, but your mind wandered back to the afternoon. The memory of Rafe's intense gaze and the feeling of his fingers toying with the strings of your bikini played on a loop in your mind.
You tried to focus, but the thought of him lingered like a whisper in the back of your mind, making it hard to concentrate. You imagined what it would be like to see him again, to share more moments that left you breathless and yearning. The pages of your textbook blurred as your thoughts drifted, and you found yourself lost in daydreams of possibilities.
As your mind wandered, thoughts of Rafe Cameron wove their way through your consciousness like tendrils of smoke, curling and dissipating only to reform, more vivid and enticing each time. His smirk, a crooked promise of mischief, lingered in your thoughts. You imagined the scene in the kitchen playing out differently, with Rafe staying just a moment longer, his presence filling the space between you, his gaze never wavering.
What if you had dared to bridge that gap, to step closer and voice your desire? The thought sent a thrill through you, a tantalizing mix of fear and excitement. You pictured his fingers trailing along your skin, their touch electric and gentle, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. His breath, warm and intoxicating against your ear, whispered promises that made your pulse race.
Cold chills raced up and down your spine as you let your imagination roam freely. You envisioned his hands exploring your body with a blend of urgency and tenderness, tracing the lines of your silhouette, his touch both a comfort and a provocation. The memory of his fingers toying with the strings of your bikini resurfaced, each imagined brush of his skin against yours igniting a cascade of sensations.
Closing your eyes, you allowed the fantasy to unfold with cinematic clarity. You saw yourself reaching out to him, your fingers curling around the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer. His breath mingled with yours, the heat of his body a palpable presence against your own. The kiss you conjured was a heady blend of need and gentleness, his lips exploring yours with an intensity that left you breathless.
In your mind’s eye, you felt the strength of his hands on your waist, guiding you closer, deepening the connection between you. The way his lips brushed against the sensitive skin of your neck, sending shivers down your spine, was so vivid it felt real. You imagined the texture of his hair beneath your fingers, the solid weight of him grounding you even as he sent your senses spiraling.
The fantasy was a sweet escape, an intoxicating reverie that left you flushed and eager. Each imagined touch, each whispered word, added to the heady mix of anticipation and longing. The more you indulged in these daydreams, the more you craved another encounter with Rafe, another chance to see where this tantalizing spark might lead.
It was a rush of adrenaline, unlike anything you had ever experienced. Boys had never held much sway over you; you had never felt the desire to pursue relationships like your friends did. Your parents had instilled in you the unwavering belief that studies should always come first—without them, your future held little promise. Marriage, they assured you, was a distant concern, something to consider only after college and a stable career were firmly in place.
The sensation of Rafe's touch lingered, electrifying your senses in a way that was entirely new. You were accustomed to boys making advances, attempting to win you over, but you had always kept them at arm's length. None had ever touched you the way Rafe had earlier.
His touch had been different—confident yet gentle, leaving a trail of warmth in its wake. It was a touch that had stirred something deep within you, awakening a desire you hadn't known existed. In that fleeting moment, his fingertips grazing against your skin had sparked a rush of sensations, each one unfamiliar and exhilarating.
As you reflected on the encounter, you felt a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Part of you thrilled at the prospect of exploring this new terrain, of discovering what lay beyond the boundaries you had so carefully maintained. Another part of you felt a twinge of guilt, a nagging reminder of your parents' expectations and the priorities they had ingrained in you. Yet, amid those conflicting emotions, there was a growing sense of liberation. The brief exchange with Rafe had opened a door to a world of possibilities you had never dared to consider. It was a tantalizing glimpse of a different path—one that beckoned with its own set of risks and rewards.
After an intense hour buried in textbooks, you gratefully closed them and sank into bed. With a swift unlock, you navigated to Instagram, driven by an insistent urge to search for the name that had dominated your thoughts—Rafe. Thanks to Sarah and mutual acquaintances, locating his profile was effortless.
As your finger tapped on his profile picture, anticipation knotted in your chest. What if he was entangled with someone else? What if he was notorious for playing with hearts? Despite these apprehensions, you pressed on, yearning to unravel more about him. His profile unveiled snippets of his life—pictures from exotic getaways, moments with friends, and snapshots on the golf course where Topper, Sarah's boyfriend, featured prominently. Their closeness didn't surprise you; it was evident in their behavior.
You scrolled deeper, each image and caption offering a fleeting glimpse into his world. With every post, your intrigue grew. Who was Rafe Cameron behind these carefully curated snapshots? What did he cherish? What was he like beyond the filtered frames?
You found yourself drawn into the depths of Rafe's Instagram profile, scrolling through his life over the past few years. Each photo captured a different facet of him: lounging on sun-soaked beaches, laughing with friends on golf courses, and even a few candid shots that exuded his effortless charm. With each swipe, your smile widened involuntarily, captivated by his magnetic presence in every image.
But then, amidst the series of carefree snapshots, you stumbled upon a picture that shattered your burgeoning admiration. There he was, on a picturesque beach, arm wrapped around a girl with a bright smile and eyes that mirrored his joy. They shared ice cream on a bustling boardwalk, kissed under the soft glow of sunset—a glimpse into a life that seemed worlds apart from yours.
Your heart sank as you stared at the scene frozen in time, feeling a mix of disappointment and disbelief wash over you. You had allowed yourself to get lost in fantasies, caught up in a momentary thrill that now felt hollow. The reality of his relationship with someone else hit hard, snapping you out of the enchantment that had momentarily clouded your thoughts.
You felt an insatiable curiosity gnawing at you, craving to unravel the enigma of Rafe's relationship with the girl in those photos. Each snapshot on his Instagram page painted a picture of a life filled with adventure and camaraderie, yet it revealed nothing about the depth of his connections. The ocean breeze seemed to whisper secrets as you scrolled, each image telling a story of laughter and shared moments against stunning backdrops. But behind those smiles and frozen frames, the truth of their bond remained elusive, leaving you to wonder about the untold chapters that lay between them.
You wrestled with swirling thoughts of the mysterious girl in Rafe's photos, pondering the depth of their connection, its duration, and whether it still persisted. Lying in the dimness of your room, you stared at the ceiling, consumed by thoughts of Rafe Cameron and all that he represented. Each question about him spun through your mind like a whirlwind, relentlessly tugging at your attention until weariness finally overtook you. Drifting into sleep, thoughts of Rafe lingered at the edge of your consciousness, a silent presence that followed you into dreams.

Her first time
It started as any other day at the lake, a family get together with the addition of my best friend, Jack. We enjoyed boats, food, tubing, booze, and nothing but great times with the family. However this time, Jack had brought his 16 foot jet propelled skidoo boat. The family left from the family slip, meanwhile, the nearest boat ramp for Jack to launch his boat was about 30 minutes away in town. As the group of friends, Jack myself and Leah, went together to put the boat in the water, the family ventured off to meet up with us in an hour or so.
At a top speed of 62mph it didn't take us long to reconnect with the family. We spent the day tubing, sunning, drinking, eating, and hanging out with the family before finally heading back for the boat ramp. Although, a bit slower this time as we had all been drinking beer and enjoying our time in the sun. On the trip back we all three declared that we had not yet had enough to drink and decided we should pull over to enjoy a few more cold ones. So we pulled into what just so happened to be a very secluded cove.
Once anchored in the cove we all wanted to go for a swim. I opened the cooler, grabbed us all more drinks, and passed them out as we climbed into the water. At this point, the beers, the sun, the heat and the subtle flirting were taking their toll. In a brief moment of confidence Leah asked Jack if he would mind if she removed her top. In which he responded, "of course not". She reached back, untied her bikini top, removed it, and threw it in the boat, rolling her tanned shoulders back in the water, exposing her firm breasts to myself, Jack and the hot sun, dancing it's warm rays across her bare skin.
With her tits now exposed Leah and the two of us swam, touched "accidently", and drank for another hour or so before Leah finally worked up the courage to swim up to Jack, grab the back of his neck and kiss him deeply and passionately. To me, this seemed to go on for an eternity, so hot, so wrong, so right, so erotic and most of all incredibly exciting. Finally I swam up behind her, caressed her ass through her bikini, worked my hands around to the front of her bikini bottoms... To find.... Jack's hand already there. He was slowly and methodically playing with Leah's clit and really, really working her over. She glanced back into my eyes with a knowing gaze, and in that moment I knew how badly she wanted him.
Before I knew it I saw a pair of bikini bottoms and a pair of bright green board shorts thrown out of the water and into the skidoo. Leah turned around to face me with Jack behind her. In the course of 5 seconds I saw her face turn from deep desire to sheer bliss. I knew he was deep inside her, I knew my heart skipped a beat. But most importantly, I knew Leah was having the most exciting thrill she could ever experience sexually, another man pushing himself inside her, while her husband watched. Knowing my pleasure came directly from her pleasure, in that moment she decided that she would allow herself to enjoy this, and every similar experience in the future, in it's fullest. Fore, she was now a hotwife.
I'd known Jack since elementary school, I knew my best friend was packing, and from the look on her face, I knew my wife was enjoying every single inch of the eight thick inches Jack had to offer. He thrust awkwardly, with nothing to push off of in the water. She squirmed. Leah reached for me to stabilize her in the clear waters of the lake, I held her and gave my friend a knod of approval as he buried his hard cock as deep as it would go in my wife. They tried and tried to make it work in the water before it was determined that it just wouldn't work. At this juncture it was either give up, or move into the boat where we could possibly be seen. The cove was pretty secluded, so we opted for the latter. The two naked individuals and myself climbed into the boat. Jack immediately laid down on the floor anticipating what came next. Leah sauntered over, straddled him, and slowly sank his large cock into her extremely wet pussy. The sight of her engulfing him drove me over the edge. I had to cum. I stroked my dick until I couldn't hold it anymore and shot a healthy load on Leah's's back. This made her cum like a rocket. The convulsions of her tight pussy clamping down in Jack's thick dick made him lose it inside Leah. Shot after shot of hot sticky cum, soaked her cervix and her warm gripping vaginal walls. All three of us were in a blissful daise. They continued to fuck for what seemed like hours, but in reality, was only minutes. I watched my wife, fully let go of her inhibitions and focus purely on her own joy. It was in this moment that I knew we were going to have a very, very interesting marriage.
Meanwhile, as Jack's erection faded, Leah's shaking subsided, and a phone rang. Reality came calling and brought us back to earth. Turns out we had forgotten we had volunteered to cook dinner that night and happened to be missing in action. Our pullover for a beer turned into multiple hours of teasing, sex, and bright promises of the adventures we would share in the future.
Worth it.

What A Blessing To Feel Your Love
Tumblr media
Pairing: Pierre Gasly x Reader
Warnings: a few sex jokes here and there bc they like to tease each other
Words: 6k
Summary: You and Pierre have been dating for a few years and he always loved spoiling you so when Max tells him about his stay in st barts, Pierre decide that he has to take you there.
A/N: I did ended up quoting the song Red Desert by 5sos... couldn't help myself :)
Tumblr media
Being Pierre's girlfriend was already a great life experience during the season, the man loved to have you with him as much as he could whether it was in the paddock, in his Milan apartment or in whatever place he had to be for work or pleasure.
Since you had to work with his schedule, yours was a little less busier, it was simpler that way. Pierre insisted on paying for everything when you travelled to meet him. You had tried arguing with him but whenever it happened, Pierre just shut you up with a kiss and told you that whatever he was paying for was worth it if he got to see you a little more often.
It was hard to argue with that logic, especially when he smiled so fondly whenever you agreed to come with him. Despite having this kind of intimidating aura, Pierre was the kindest and most thoughtful boyfriend you ever had. Being with him felt like coming home in a way and that was the most comforting feeling.
When the summer break came, you usually tagged along to wherever his friends had planned to go that year. It usually circled back to the same three locations: Greece, Italy and the South of France. All three destinations were great: beautiful landscapes, clear waters and warm sun. It was the perfect destination to get a good tan for both Pierre and you.
The Frenchman knew how much you loved your summer trips so when he had heard Max talk about this beautiful island he had gone to for New Year's, he had immediately booked a trip for the both of you during that same time.
Keeping it a surprise had been the trickiest part. He wanted to surprise you but he needed to be sure that you were free during that time. In the end he settled for just telling you that he was taking you somewhere right after Christmas until after New Year's. You had tried to get more information out of him but the little fucker had kept his mouth shut, no matter what sneaky tactics you had tried to use.
That’s why you were currently sitting in a private jet, still clueless about your destination. Pierre had only told you to let your best friend pack your suitcase because it was the only way to keep the secret for this long. The only thing you knew was that the flight was going to last around 9 hours so you were prepared to be a little bored.
Pierre hated flying, he had told you countless times, when it was just the two of you laying down in bed at night. How, even with how much he did it, he couldn’t shake how terrified he was to crash. A 9 hours flight meant that you were most likely crossing the Atlantic ocean and that took a lot out of your boyfriend so, even though there were a lot of seats you could have taken, you sat on the one right next to him, holding his hand and letting him rest his head on your shoulder.
You knew Pierre had relaxed a little when his breath evened and the death-grip on your hand loosened slightly. A wave of relief washed over you as you saw his peaceful face, brushing a strand of hair away from his face before resting your head on top of his, finally allowing yourself to rest now that Pierre was fast asleep.
You woke up a few hours later to Pierre trying to remove his head from under yours without waking you up. Noticing he had failed, the Frenchman offered you an apologetic smile that you brushed off with a soft press of your lips on his cheek. Since you were now both awake and still had time to kill, Pierre got his laptop out so you could watch the latest show you had been watching together.
The both of you got so lost in it that you didn’t notice right away as the plane started to go lower. Pierre was the first one to realise, his whole body tensing and gripping the arm rest as discreetly as he could. However, you knew him too well not to see that so you put his hand back in yours and started to trace random shapes on the back of it until the plane finally came to a stop.
The first thing that hit you when you got out of the plane was the heat. Gone was the December cold and the snow you had experienced in Europe, you felt the heat envelop you and your sweatshirt was gone the second you put one foot outside.
The second thing that hit you was that you weren’t heading towards the terminal and instead you were being led to an even smaller private plane. You looked at Pierre with a questioning look on your face but all you got in return was a cramped smile.
The Frenchman tried to look as chill as he could but Max had told him that the plane ride from St Maarten to St Barts was one of the scariest he had experienced. And that came from Max Verstappen so Pierre took it more than seriously.
Once you were back in the air, you watched in awe the crystal blue water that seemed to stretch forever as Pierre tried his best not to let the fear take over. Luckily for him, the flight barely lasted 15 minutes and soon the both of you watched as the plane’s nose dipped towards the earth at a rapid pace. Pierre watched terrified as the plane manoeuvred between two mountains before dropping down on the runway he could see from the plane’s windshield from where he was sitting.
As soon as the doors were opened, Pierre was outside with his bags. He ran towards the minuscule airport, giving you a sorry smile as he bent over the edge of the closest bin and finally released what his stomach had tried to hold onto during the short flight.
After passing the border control surprisingly fast, it only took you 2 minutes from the moment you crossed the first door to the moment you were back outside, Pierre stopping to the bathroom to brush his teeth, the Frenchman looked at you with a brighter smile.
-“ Welcome to St Barts mon coeur”
-"Pierre, this is beautiful. That's the best surprise ever." you exclaimed, wrapping your arms around his neck
-" Wait till you see the place we're staying at, it's even prettier."
You had trouble believing Pierre but the moment your boyfriend stopped in front of the hotel, you knew he might actually be right. The hotel was overlooking a beautiful white sand beach with red sunbeds and a few swings. Pierre went to grab the room key and as he did a quick room tour, you let yourself crash onto the bed, groaning into the pillow.
-“ You should really get up and take a look at the view, you know ?” Pierre chuckled as he sat on the edge of the bed, his hand coming to rest on your lower back
-“ I will in a minute, I promise. I just need to rest my neck for a second.”
-“ Are you feeling alright ?” Pierre asked, sounding a little worried as you shifted on your side to face him
-“ Don’t worry about it, I’m just a little tense because of the flight but I’ll be alright.”
-“ Come here, sit up please.” Pierre said as he patted the space in front of him “ Tell me if I’m putting too much pressure on it, okay ?”
-“ You don’t have to give me a massage Pierre.” you affirmed but as soon as his hands were on your neck, you couldn’t keep the sigh of relief from leaving your mouth
-“ First off, I’m doing this for both of us because I’m not going to be able to enjoy myself if you’re in pain and you should know that. Second, I won’t miss out on having my hands on my beautiful girlfriend.” Pierre smiled cheekily, pressing a kiss on your cheek
-“ Well, when you put it like that.” you said, not able to keep a laugh from escaping your lips
After Pierre’s massage that had inevitably turned into a quick and needed makeout session, you finally got to do your long awaited room tour. The bedroom was facing an enormous window with a sea-view and over your own private little infinity pool. The next room was a walk-in closet made of oak with a glass sliding door that opened on your terrace with a little table and two sunbeds.
Finally, the bathroom was separated in three parts: the toilet room that was just what it seemed only expensive looking, the double sink part with a marble countertop and a mirror that reached the ceiling and finally, the italian shower that was entirely covered in black stone tiles with a small square window that, of course, showed you a clear view of the beach and the never-ending ocean in front of you.
You were still looking at the bathroom when Pierre sneaked his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder which made you jump slightly.
-“ So, what do you think ? Is that a good surprise ?”
-“ It’s perfect, I couldn’t dream of a better place to spend the holidays.” you smiled, caressing his cheek softly
-“ What about the company ?”
-“ You already know what I think about that, Pierre. You only want to hear it again because it flatters your ego…”
-“ Maybe I just like to make sure my girlfriend is as in love with me as I am with her.” Pierre retorqued, kissing your shoulder
-“ The company is the best. Thanks for bringing me here, darling.”
-“ It’s my pleasure.” the Frenchman smiled “ Do you want to have a quick nap or do you want to go explore a bit ?”
-“ I don’t think we came here to sleep so let’s get ready, Gasly.”
-“ I mean, I wouldn’t mind a little time on the bed but you’re the boss so let’s go.” Pierre winked, unwrapping his arms from your waist
-“ Get your mind out of the gutter and get out so I can shower please.” you laughed, grabbing the nearest towel, fakely hitting your boyfriend who started laughing
-“ You’re no fun, you know that ? If you change your mind, just yell. I’ll come in a sec.”
-" It won't happen but alright, now go please." you smiled, kissing Pierre tenderly
Now that you were finally free of your very loving boyfriend who had gone on the balcony to lay in the sun, you finally got ready to go explore the island a little before jetlag caught up with the both of you.
When Pierre showed you the car he had rented, you couldn’t help the laugh that got out of your mouth. The car was cute but it was a bright orange small open car that looked straight out of a cartoon. It definitely wasn’t something you had expected your boyfriend to drive but with his white linen outfit, he weirdly fit in this beach day paradise picture.
Pierre seemed to know where he was going, reading the indications on the signs and smoothly manoeuvring the car on the tight roads. The drive wasn’t long and yet it seemed like you had travelled elsewhere. Gone was the busy hotel and the white sandy beach full of tourists, you were now faced with an empty beach covered with rocks and waves crashing on the shore in intervals.
You were rendered speechless by the view, turning towards Pierre to say something, anything, to tell him that it was the most beautiful place you’d ever been to but there was no word to describe exactly how magical the moment felt. Especially when the sun was slowly getting down and casting a warm orange light on Pierre who was just smiling at you with so much love. The whole scene made you want to do a single thing and you quickly did, pressing your lips against Pierre’s as a way to express the tumult of feelings you were feeling inside.
The two of you sat on a small stonewall overlooking the beach as you watched the sun descend behind the horizon line, your head on Pierre’s shoulder and his hand on your thigh. Neither of you said anything until the sun was completely hidden and Pierre tugged on your hand, motioning for you to get off the wall.
You could have stayed there forever with him but if you were being honest, the jetlag was starting to catch up with you and you were getting hungrier by the minute. Pierre was well aware of the last part as your stomach grumbled rather loudly during the car ride back to the hotel, making the both of you laugh.
Despite wanting to discover the island a little more, you decided to order room service for the night, too tired to go out. Plus, eating in your room wasn’t a bad thing at all, you got to eat while listening to the peaceful sound of the waves crashing and nobody would be telling you anything about decorum if your body was leaning and desperately clinging onto Pierre.
The Frenchman wasn’t complaining at all about that last part, happy to have you close and even happier when you agreed to go for a quick swim in the pool with him before bed. Well, swim was a big word because you were mostly hugging Pierre the whole time as he tried to move around before giving up and sitting on the stairs to cuddle in the water.
You could have dozed off right there under the pale moonlight and the warmth of Pierre’s skin but he wouldn’t let you because he knew better. You were tired and not used to the temperature yet so that could make you get sick easier than usual and Pierre didn’t want that at all. Knowing that you’d be too tired to do anything now that you were almost asleep, Pierre just dragged you to the bathroom, washing your face and rinsing the chlorine off your skin before giving you one of his shirts to sleep in.
Between the softness of your boyfriend’s t-shirt, the weight of his arm around your waist and the AC softly blowing air in the room, you could definitely say this was one of the best nights of sleep you got in a while. Pierre would have honestly said the same if he hadn’t been woken up by the feeling of your finger poking his ribs and tickling his neck. He tried to feign annoyance and act grumpy but the act was dropped the moment you started peppering kisses all over his face until piercing blue eyes were looking at you with an infectious smile.
Breakfast was eaten in a hurry, Pierre telling you he had planned a whole day of activities and that you needed to be ready soon. His warning would have been nice if he had actually said what you were doing so you knew how to dress but he was adamant on keeping it a surprise, only telling you to wear a swimsuit. When he jokingly complained that you were taking too long to get ready, you reminded him that looking this gorgeous took a little time, teasingly adding that he wouldn’t know about that as you came out of the bathroom.
When your eyes fell on him, your urge to tease him completely melted. His body was resting against the door frame, lazily playing with a few unruly strands of hair and he couldn’t have looked more attractive to you. It didn’t even look like he was trying hard to look good too with his crisp white linen shirt and those orange swim shorts you had found horrendous at first. Now you couldn’t help but notice how it complimented his already tanned skin and toned body.
-“ You like what you see, mon coeur ?” he exaggeratedly winked
-“ You don’t look too bad for someone who took 5 minutes to get ready.”
-“ What can I say… Some of us are just naturally breathtaking.” he laughed as you pouted
-“ Some of us ? Should I feel insulted ?”
-“ No, never. You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. No matter what you’re wearing or not wearing.” Pierre teased, putting his hands on your hips, pulling you against him to kiss you slowly
-“ Alright, as much as I love what we’re doing right now, you said we couldn’t be late to what you had planned so we need to leave now.” you mumbled, lips inches away from his as he grunted, knowing you were right
The drive to the mysterious spot was nice and despite how short it was, Pierre’s hand was on your thigh as you watched in awe the turquoise water that seemed to stretch for hundreds of miles and the trees full of colourful flowers. You were so focused on the scenery around you that you almost didn’t notice when he stopped the car and came round to open the door for you.
You looked around, trying to guess what you were doing today and when your eyes fell on the yachts lined up next to each other, you turned towards your boyfriend with an excited look on your face. Pierre nodded before wrapping his hand in yours and walking towards one of the boats. Since it was only you and him, you expected to go on the smallest one but instead Pierre marched towards the biggest one and saluted the man waiting in front of it before climbing aboard.
You knew Pierre was rich. You had been dating for years at this point and you had witnessed his financial growth first hand, going from quick and cheap cinema dates in small towns to expensive restaurants all over the world but this was something else. Pierre had always been pretty quiet about his wealth, he knew you didn’t exactly come from money and hated to feel like you were just leeching off him when there was a cheaper equivalent that was just as good.
However, this was different. You couldn’t lie and say you didn’t enjoy the luxurious boat you had all to yourself. Not when Pierre was looking all too happy to show you around, explaining how he had asked for this specific boat and why. It was endearing really, the way he seemed so happy to please you and treat you like a princess. In all honesty, he was probably enjoying the smile and the kiss you gave him as a thanks more than the actual boat he had paid thousands to rent.
Your day on the water started on a high because as soon as you were out of the marina, the boat threw the anchor down and suddenly jet skis were dropped down in the water for you and Pierre. The Frenchman tried to convince you to try it on your own first but when he realised that having you on the same one as him meant having you as close as possible, he stopped arguing and almost jumped on the jet ski with a sly smile.
You spent about an hour and a half hanging onto Pierre for dear life as you let out screams of pure adrenaline when you jumped over the waves at high speed, crashing with brutal force, knocking the air out of your lungs for a few seconds before you laughed. The sound was music to Pierre’s ears and you could tell he was doing his best to pull it out of you as often as he could by showing off and going as fast as he dared.
When you finally came back to the yacht, someone was waiting to tell you that lunch was ready whenever you were. You hadn’t realised how hungry you were until you saw the table filled with your favourite things and in quantities you could never ingest, even with a boyfriend that could eat his own weight in food easily. Nevertheless, you sat down on the bench determined to honour the time the people who cooked must have spent making this.
You realised you had eaten too much a bit too late so when Pierre asked what you wanted to do after lunch, you just shrugged, wanting nothing more than to sleep until you were feeling less groggy and full. Without you having to say a word, Pierre understood and took your hand so you followed him towards the front of the boat where the sunbed was. It was the biggest one you had ever seen, taking most of the place there and it looked so comfortable you couldn’t help but sigh expectantly.
Pierre lied down first, spreading his arms out as he settled on his back with one hand behind his head. He looked almost unreal like that, all flushed skin from the sun, shining with what you assumed was a thin layer of sweat from the sun that peaked above you. You didn’t ever care about the heat or the sweat as you joined him on the bed, half on top of him, your cheek resting on his chest, his chin on the top of your head.
You hadn’t even realised you were starting to fall asleep until you felt something cold hit your back, shrieking at the feeling. You looked up when you felt Pierre laugh softly, glaring at him menacingly to make him stop whatever he was trying to do.
-“ Relax princess. I’m just putting sunscreen on your back so you can sleep without looking like a lobster tomorrow.”
-“ Oh, that’s really nice of you. Thanks.”
-“ Wouldn’t want you whining about how your back hurt the whole trip now, would we ?”
-“ I don’t whine, Pierre.” you huffed, rolling your eyes as he smiled even bigger now
-“ You’re a terrible liar but it’s okay, I still love you.” he tried to kiss you, chuckling when you pulled back, still acting offended
-“ Even if I did whine, which I don’t… I thought you liked hearing me. Isn’t that what you said last time in your driver’s room ?” you asked, looking at him with the biggest doe eyes you could as his whole face flushed red
-“ You– You’re going to be the death of me one day, you know that ?”
-“ It’s okay, we both know you love it.” you winked, pecking his lips before stretching and settling down against him again, ready to nap for real this time
-“ Oh no no, mon coeur. You don’t get to tease me like that and then just fall asleep after you reminded me of this. If I can’t sleep, you’re not sleeping either.” he promised, shuffling under you, picking you up with ease
-“ Pierre. Put me down.”
-“ What’s the magic word, princess ?”
-“ I’m not calling you daddy, if that’s what you were asking for.” you teased, knowing it would rile him up
-“ For the last time, y/n, I do not have a daddy kink so please for the love of God, stop saying that every time we’re in public because people are going to actually start believing it.” Pierre blurted, his face flushing
-“ But you’re so cute when you blush. How could I resist when teasing you is so fun and so easy ?”
-“ Who are you calling cute ?” he tried, flexing his muscles as he tried to pull you towards him, attempting a biceps curl
-“ Slow down big boy, I don’t want to fall face first and whine all week about how much it hurts.” you teased back
-“ You know what ? I was going to be nice and just put you back down but I feel like you’re a little too feisty today and maybe you need to cool down a bit.” Pierre nodded to himself, walking closer to the end of the boat as you wiggled in his arms, demanding that he put you down with screaming giggles
Pierre liked to think he was a nice boyfriend or at least nice enough to make sure he warned you before jumping so you could close your mouth before entering the water. The water wasn’t particularly cold but you definitely felt a rush of blood course through your entire body from the suddenness of it . You tried to look mad when you looked at Pierre but between his goofy smile and the water dripping from his hair onto his nose and his lips, you didn’t last a second before pressing your lips against his. This may not be heaven but it felt pretty damn close to you.
After kissing for a bit in the water, Pierre letting you control the pace and how long you did it for, claiming it was his way of apologising when you both knew he was enjoying this just as much as you, you finally got your nap in the sun. You were still laying on top of Pierre and as time went by and the sun slowly got down, you could feel your boyfriend grow restless under you. You tried to ask him if he wanted you to move off him or if something was wrong but he just told you not to move and that everything was perfect.
You didn’t quite believe him but you knew he would tell you at some point if something was really bothering him so you let it slide. Still wanting to show that you were there for him, you tightened your arms around his body and started playing with the hair at the back of his neck just the way he loved. It seemed to make him relax a little because by the time the captain of the boat came to tell you they had to head back to the marina, Pierre was smiling again.
After spending your whole day outside doing activities, you expected Pierre to want to rest for the evening and have dinner in your room but as soon as you were back at the hotel, he was off to shower telling you that he’d leave you the bathroom once he was done so you could take your time to get ready. Before you could even say something, he told you that the restaurant was a surprise and that it was a pretty fancy place so you could dress up if you wanted to.
You tried to drag your boyfriend on the bed when he came out only wearing a towel around his hips but despite giving you a long and languid kiss, Pierre didn’t give in. He was adamant that the plans he had made needed to happen and that even his drop dead gorgeous girlfriend, his words, couldn’t convince him to be late. Since he was never one to turn down such an offer to have fun, you couldn’t help but grow suspicious at his behaviour.
Just when you were about to say something about it, Pierre pushed you towards the bathroom with a kiss, biting your bottom lip and playfully slapping your ass before leaving you to get ready. Now, that was more like the Pierre you knew so you brushed off your previous feeling and started getting ready.
The restaurant was more than beautiful. Pierre had picked a place straight out of a fairytale with that one. It was on the beach, dim lights everywhere that created an intimate ambiance paired with the sound of the waves crashing and the low jazz music playing in the background. You expected to be seated at one of the tables you saw but the waiter walked a little further away on the beach, revealing a secluded table surrounded by palm trees and what looked like fancy fairy lights.
You let Pierre drag your chair for you as you took in your surroundings. The Frenchman was watching you with a soft smile on his face, a clear affection written all over his features.
-“ So, do you like it ?” he asked as he anxiously sat down
-“ Pierre, this is perfect.”
-“ Really ?”
-“ Yes, I couldn’t dream of a prettier place to eat with you.”
-“ I’m glad you like it, I had a bunch of options but this restaurant was the only one that felt right, the only one that felt like us.” he admitted, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck
-“ You made a great choice but you really don’t have to stress yourself over this. I’ll be more than happy to eat junk food sitting on the pavement if that means I get to spend time with you.”
-“ I know, I just like spoiling you and showing you off I guess.” he smiled brightly as the waiter came back, stopping the moment you two had been sharing
It was a dinner filled with good wine, exquisite food and even better company. Despite having the waiter come back a few times to ask if everything was alright, it truly felt like you were the only two in the world right now. Pierre was a little touchier than usual, keeping your hand in his whenever you didn’t need it and scooting his chair closer to you so he could rest his hand on your thigh when you nodded both hands to eat. It was endearing and you couldn’t do anything but smile back and melt into his familiar touch.
You knew your boyfriend too much not to notice he was growing antsy as the meal was getting closer to the end but despite moving around a lot, he was still smiling and he seemed happy so you let him be again, not wanting to ruin the romantic atmosphere. When the dessert finally came, you dug in with appetite in the beautiful tiramisu as Pierre laughed at your behaviour before moving his seat back a little.
-“ I’m so happy to be here with you, mon coeur.” Pierre started while you were still looking at your plate and eating, your full focus on the food in front of you “ We’ve been together for almost 5 years now, you know ? I wish I could say that I find this crazy but I really don’t. I feel like I’ve known you forever and 5 years seems way too small compared to what I want with you.”
-“ Oh Pierre…” you started, finally looking at him as you felt your voice quivering with emotions
-“ I’ve thought about us a lot recently and there isn’t a single moment where I’d want us to be apart. You’ve been there for me at my worst and yet you still found it in yourself to love me for who I am and I don’t want to imagine where I’d be without you. I know I’m not usually one to talk about feelings and stuff like that but you make me feel safe enough to do so just by being yourself because you’re the most understanding, loving and caring person I know.” he declared, wrapping his hand in yours before continuing “I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else on this planet because I truly believe we are made for each other. I love you like I’ve never loved anyone else and that’s why I actually wanted us to come here because you deserve to know how much you mean to me and how much I love you.”
-“ I love you so much, baby. I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else ever either.” you murmured, fighting back tears as you watched Pierre slowly grab something in his pocket
-“ I’m glad you said that actually because I wanted to ask you something.” he smiled, letting go of your hand to grab the velvet box in his hands
-“ No, you didn’t !” you exclaimed, slapping your hand over your mouth while Pierre dropped to one knee in front of you
-“ Y/n, mon coeur, you’re the love of my life and there’s nothing I want more than to be able to call you my wife and grow old with you. Will you give me the honour of calling you my wife ?”
-“ Yes, God, yes I’ll marry you. I love you so much.” you cried as he put the ring on your finger before kneeling down on the ground and kissing him with all the force you had
-“ I love you too, amour. You have no idea how much.” Pierre smiled, tears wetting his cheeks too while you rested your forehead against his
-“ I think I do after your big speech.”
-“ That was kind of the point of the whole thing.” he laughed, the sound making your heart soar with love so intensely you felt a sob wash over you at thought that this beautiful man in front of you was now your fiancé
-“ You’re such an idiot making me cry like that, you big dork. I must look awful with the tear stains.” you sniffled, Pierre pulling you in for a hug before helping you sit back on your chair again
-“ You look perfect, I promise. You look like someone who just got engaged.”
-“ It’s not fair, you look beautiful as always and not all snotty from crying like me. I hate you so much. I hope you know we’re not taking engagement pictures with me looking like that.” you scoffed, hiding behind your glass of champagne that was now empty
-“ Don’t worry, I’m not crying much now but the day we get married I’ll be a crying fountain and you can laugh all you want then.”
-“ I still can’t believe it, you’re going to be my husband. Oh my God, I’m going to be your wife.”
-“ You’re not already regretting it, are you ?”
-“ Of course not. I know it doesn’t look like it with all the tears and the teasing but there’s no word to describe how happy I am that you proposed. You’re the love of my life, P. I mean it. You’re my person, always and forever.”
-“ Good because I might have invited our families and close friends to celebrate with us here for New Year’s.” he admitted with a grin, making you laugh
-“ You were that sure that I’d say yes ?” you teased him with a nudge of your shoulder
-“ I was just really hoping you would because it would’ve been really uncomfortable otherwise.”
-“ Well it’s a good thing I’m head over heels in love with you then.”
-“ The feeling’s more than mutual mon coeur.” Pierre smiled, pressing his lips against yours, pouring all the love he felt for you in that slow kiss
The days between your engagement and the arrival of everyone had been spent in a daze. You and Pierre were completely immersed in your own bubble and everything felt like the beginning of your relationship again. Whatever Pierre said made you blush and he couldn’t help but feel the need to impress you and make you fall in love with him all over again.
Seeing the ring he had chosen on your finger was making him feel all kinds of things and it seemed like being apart from you for two seconds was now impossible. He was always touching you in a way and he gave you nothing short of the princess treatment.
It was endearing and you couldn’t lie and say you didn’t feel the exact same way as you took pictures to share the news to everyone around you. Pierre was beaming with pride whenever he caught you looking at the ring with a smile or when he looked at his own. There was truly no one else he’d want to spend his life with so he was relieved you said yes.
The day you finally got married, Pierre kept his promise and wept as you walked in and as he read his vows, taking a deep breath before saying the last sentence of his carefully written text. Holding your delicate hands in his, Pierre said: “ You’re the only one I'd do this with, what a blessing to feel your love, mon coeur.”
That last sentence was engraved in your head and in your heart, probably resonating deep in your soul until you’d give your last breath and leave the love of your life before he joined you into eternity. Because you knew Pierre and you were bonded by something bigger, you were twin flames, two parts of one being separated in two bodies, destined to find each other in every life, no matter what form that took. You were sure of it, it was the reason you agreed to marry him, he was your person, always and forever.

You swore you were done with this. Done waiting for flirty 2 a.m. texts. Done with hastily packed duffle bags and sweaty trysts in wrinkled sheets. Done with walks of shame the next morning, the delicious ache between your thighs a reminder of all the dirty things you’d gotten up to in the past few hours.
Though, it can’t really be called a walk of shame if it felt so good, and you weren’t really ashamed, can it? And it did feel good to see your phone light up well past midnight with a corny text from Rooster.
Bradley.
The message from him lights up your bedroom now. Casts the room in a soft blue glow. You swipe open your phone, thumb hovering over the screen as you formulate a response.
You up? It reads.
You roll your eyes. Those college tendencies had still not left him, even though he was 5 years removed from the Naval Academy, and considered one of the best pilots in the country. Hell, he’d flown an incredibly dangerous mission six months ago, and was still sending You up? texts.
Typical Bradley.
Maybe that’s part of his charm. The boyish air about him. Youthful confidence that borders slightly on cockiness. It reminded you of old times. Sneaking in and out of dorm rooms before the sun rose, quickies in-between classes. Cheap beer and dim, crowded basements.
Maybe it’s the freedom and the mystery that draws you back to him. Rooster throws himself back into the orbit of your life every three months or so without warning. You fuck round for a couple weeks, and then he disappears into whatever Navy void he came from until the next time he swings back around. Like a horny comet.
No feelings. No strings. Just the best sex you’ve ever had in your life…followed by the worst dry spell of your life. And a strange empty ache. You’d never admit it to his face– don’t want to inflate his ego anymore–but Bradley might have ruined other men for you.
At least, that’s what you think now. Fresh off of involuntary abstinence and a super disappointing fuck.
And so, even though you swore to yourself you’d be done with all this, you send a quick response.
Yes :)
* * *
Bradley’s neighborhood is nice. A quiet line of almost identical brown townhouses with immaculate yards. Must be military. That would explain the harsh conformity, and the high concentration of American flags on the porches.
All of the houses’ windows are dark, except for the one your car rolls to a stop in front of.
Bradley throws the door open and pulls you inside before you can even knock.
“Someone’s eager,” you tease, as you're crowded back against the door.
Bradley’s hands come to rest on either side of your head. “No time like the present.” His soft brown eyes are full of mirth.
He looks the same as he did a couple months ago. Same bright eyes and easygoing smile. It brings faint laugh lines to the surface of his freckled skin. He’s only wearing a pair of grey sweats, so the vast expanse of his body is laid bare before you. Your gaze traces the planes of tanned skin, from the solid muscle of his arms, to his chest and then down to the waistband that hangs low across his hips.
“Like what you see?” Bradley ticks an eyebrow upwards.
You roll your eyes, but you’d be a liar if you said otherwise. “Jesus you’re a walking cliche. You’re one ‘Come here often?’ away from a free membership to the Corny Club.” With great effort, you drag your gaze up from the glaringly obvious bulge at Bradley’s crotch, to his shining eyes.
“Baby, I’m already a card-carrying member.” He leans in closer, and you catch a whiff of his body wash. “That’s my most effective pick up line.”
Vanilla and Sandalwood. The reaction is immediate, you want to bury your nose into his neck and breathe him in deeper.
You suck in a deep breath. “Does it work?”
“You tell me,” Bradley whispers.
His parted lips brush yours, a teasing, barely-there kiss. You lean forward, chasing the touch of his mouth, but Bradley leans away, wearing a shit-eating grin on his face.
“Now who’s eager?” He teases.
You ignore him, and wrap your arms around his broad shoulders to pull him back to you. You had no problem going after what you wanted, something Bradley really liked about you. You thread your fingers through his hair and mold your lips to his.
Bradley presses a hot groan into your mouth. His tongue licks against yours, testing the waters. He meets no resistance. In fact, you almost whimper, body melting against his. You feel the heat of his body against yours, even through the fabric of your t-shirt. It leaves your skin prickly, your nerves singed.
One of his large hands leaves the door, and slides down the curve of your spine. His fingers slide over the waistband of your shorts, grabbing at your ass and trapping you against his body. Instinctively, you rock your hips against the thigh he’s placed between your legs.
Funny how well the two of you meshed together, even after months apart.
The back of your head hits the door, a quiet moan falling from your lips at the sweet pressure. Bradley’s lips leave yours to trace open-mouthed kisses across your jaw and down your neck. He guides the greedy grind of your hips at a nearly torturous pace.
“Fuck,” you whine when he nips at your pulse. You use the grip on his shoulders as leverage to get a better angle.
Bradley watches you, eyes alight with amusement. “It’s that easy, huh?”
“Shut up,” you groan. Your clit catches on the crease of his sweatpants so well, reducing you to a puddle. It’s good. It’s great even. But it’s not enough.
“Nearly drooling for it,” he whispers. “When’s the last time you got laid?”
The answer? It’s been a long fucking time since you’ve had good sex. Actually, if you had to actually count, it would be 137 days exactly: the last time Bradley was stateside. There was that guy from a few weeks back, but he’d jackhammered his way home in 3 minutes– a personal record even for bad lays– and hung you out to dry. You’d left that encounter missing Bradley more than ever. Even entertained the idea of sending him a text just in case he was back home.
“I said shut the fuck up.” You tug his bottom lip between your teeth and pull.
Bradley moans, a deep rumble in the back of his throat. You smile victoriously, digging your teeth in a little harsher before letting go. Bradley’s eyes meet yours, widening a bit as his tongue traces over the indent your bite had left behind.
His cheeks flush a ruddy red, and his Adam’s apple bobs as he swallows thickly. “Shit,” he mumbles, and surges forward to kiss you again.
Bradley’s everywhere. He pins your body back against the door. His lips slide over yours hungrily. Tongue pressing into your mouth as if he’s trying to bury himself inside of you. He rucks your shirt up to palm your breast. He squeezes, pinching your nipple between his middle and forefinger. The pain, the pleasure of it all almost makes you dizzy.
Brain foggy, and body keyed up to 11, you pull away from him. “Bradley,” you sigh, blinking rapidly as the world comes back into focus.
Bradley noses at the underside of your jaw. “Mmm?” He presses soft kisses to your neck.
“We gonna take this to the bed? Or did you wanna fuck me up against the door?”
He pretends to think about it for a moment. “Dunno. Door has its merits. I don’t have to move. And I can do this.” He shifts, rolling his thigh against your clit.
A moan tumbles clumsily from your lips. “You can do that on the bed, and it gives us more room.”
“Room to do what?”
You tilt your head to whisper in his ear. “I could suck your dick...”
Bradley chuckles. “You could do that here.”
“I could suck your dick while you eat me out.” You bite your bottom lip.
He pauses. A grin spreads across his face, lighting up his eyes. “Now that is a convincing argument.”
“Yeah?” Your answering smile is just as wide.
“Uh huh.” Bradley frees himself from your grip and takes a step back. He hooks a finger into the front of your shorts and tugs forward. “Just don’t come too early.”
“Me?” You scoff, letting yourself be pulled forward. “What makes you think I’d do that?”
“Yeah, you.” He guides you back through the townhouse with ease. “You just got finished humping me against the door.”
“Weren’t you the one who pinned me to the door as soon as I walked in?”
Bradley pushes the door to his room open and flicks on the light. “So?”
“So, you’re just as riled up as me.” You lick your bottom lip. “If anything, you should be worried about…premature completion,” you finish awkwardly.
Bradley tosses his head back and laughs. A deep, belly-aching guffaw. The rich baritone notes bounce off of the walls of his small bedroom. Warmth bursts in your chest and your heart leaps, in spite of the fact that you’re the source of his laughter. It’s infectious, bubbling up inside of you until it slips through the cracks of your smile, and pretty soon peals of your own laughter twine with his.
“‘Premature completion?’” He gasps, holding a hand to his chest.
You punch his shoulder lightly. “Don’t laugh at me.”
“I’m sorry.” Bradley makes a show of wiping nonexistent tears from his eyes. “It’s just such a funny way of putting it.”
“Rooster,” you snap.
He presses his lips together and makes an attempt at a somewhat serious face. It lasts all of three seconds before he’s laughing again.
You cross your arms over your chest. “Well not all of us are as crass as you and your Navy buddies.”
“Sorry. It just makes ya sound like a science textbook.”
“Fuck off.” You roll your eyes.
Bradley’s laughter turns to quiet chuckles. “Okay, okay. No need to get so feisty. Even though I love it when you do.” He pulls you close and loops an arm around your waist. “I believe you were gonna show me the merits of a bed.”
You raise your eyebrows. “Now who sounds like a textbook?” Your finger traces over his lower stomach.
“Still you,” he answers cheekily.
You ignore his gentle ribbing. “You’re wearing too many clothes.”
“You’re wearing more than I am.” He tugs at the waistband of your shorts.
“Then you should fix that,” you say coyly.
Bradley smirks. “I will.” He sits on his bed and beckons you forward.
You move to stand between his spread legs and rest your hands on his shoulder. You’re immediately glad that you did, as Bradley’s lips latch onto your peaked nipple and suck on it through the fabric of your tank top.
“No bra.” He mumbles against the growing wet patch. He looks up at you through heavy-lidded eyes.
You shake your head. “It’d just get in the way.”
He hums under his breath. “It would.” His teeth tease your breast, skating over the sensitive skin. Bradley pulls your tank top down and switches to the other breast. His fingers lightly pinch and roll the nipple he’s not currently sucking on.
You moan quietly, and slide your fingers into his loose curls. Bradley doesn’t need much encouragement. He’s greedy, eager. His lips smack against your breast, hot tongue sweeping out to taste your skin. Your knees grow weaker with each passing moment. Each swipe of his tongue. Each of his wrecked groans.
“Fuck,” he mumbles, burying his face into your chest and inhaling the scent of you. Jasmine and ginger. Your body is so fucking warm it drives him crazy. His dick hardens in his sweatpants. His pulse thuds loudly in his ears. He wants to be inside you. Needs it like he needs air.
It’s been too long since he had you like this. Willing and pliant under his touch. Bottom lip trapped between your teeth as he touched you. Bradley’s lost count of how many times he’s gotten off to the thought of this moment. Memories he’d replayed over and over in his head as he stroked his cock. The echo of your soft cries in his ears as he came all over his hand.
This, the real thing, puts all his daydreams to shame.
Bradley’s unoccupied hand slowly slides up your inner thigh. His thumb flicks under your shorts, and he chokes when he meets, not the pesky lace he was expecting, but the softness of your wet pussy.
“Jesus.” He inhales sharply. “No panties either?”
You shrug, hoping to come off as nonchalant, even though your heart thuds in your chest. “They’d just end up on the floor.”
“Are you trying to kill me?” He looks up at you, umber eyes eclipsed completely by desire.
“I’m trying to fuck you,” you remind him. And then, growing impatient, you push him backwards onto the bed. “You’re always getting distracted,” you chide playfully, and pull your tank top over your head. “It’s a miracle you’ve managed to keep your plane up in the sky this long.” Your shorts are quick to join your top on the ground.
Bradley grins up at you. “They don’t have distractions like you up in the sky. And it’s a good thing they don’t.” His dark eyes roam your body. “C’mere.”
“Yes, sir!” You give him a mock salute and he rolls his eyes.
The annoyed look melts away when you climb onto his lap. It turns into slack-jawed reverence when you grind your down against the obvious erection Bradley sports. His fingers grip your hips and he holds you tighter against him as he rocks up to meet you. A sweet groan escapes his parted lips.
“I think,” you begin, walking your fingers up Bradley’s chest, “that I could make you come before you could make me.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Trying to bait me into a bet? Us aviator’s don’t go down easy.”
“That’s exactly what I’m doing. And if I win, you have to,” you pause for dramatic effect, “let me be in charge the next time we see each other.”
“Done.” He cocks his head to the side, that signature boyish grin etching dimples into his cheeks. “What if you don’t? What do I get if I make you come first?”
“Well name your stakes, Lieutenant Bradshaw.”
“When I win–”
“If.”
“When I win…” Bradley thinks for a moment, and then bashfulness flits across his face. “You have to let me take you out one night. And not to the Hard Deck either. Somewhere nice.”
“Take me out? Like on a date?” You ask and he nods. Your breath catches in your throat.
That’s not what this was. This was casual. A 2 a.m. text. Flirtatious banter. Sex to scratch an itch and a See you next time. Not expectations or permanence. Not dinner and a night on the town.
Then again…Bradley’s a good guy. He’s sweet, definitely easy on the eyes. He takes care of you in his own way. Makes you laugh until you cry, and you genuinely like being around him. Plus, he fucks you like none other. Can make you see stars with just his fingers and tongue. You can’t say that for most of the other guys you’ve been with before him or since.
Would one date be so bad? It was just dinner, not a marriage proposal. Who knows, maybe something good could come out of it. Or, if it was terribly awkward, you two could just pretend it never even happened in the first place.
You must hesitate too long, because Bradley shakes his head. “Forget it. I’ll do something else.”
“No, wait.” You smile, and his expression lightens. “I’ll go out with you, Bradley.” You lean forward and kiss him sweetly. “But you gotta earn it first.”
A steely resolve settles over his face. Bradley cups your jaw, before you can pull away and slots his lips against yours. He moans into your mouth as his tongue licks against your bottom lip. You surge forward, opening yourself up to him, getting drunk on his kiss. It’s a messy, desperate clash of lips and teeth. Battling tongues and noses that bump against each other with the desire for more, more, more.
More skin. More friction. More of each other.
His large hand slides down your spine and squeezes your ass, rocking your hips against his crotch. You sigh at the sweet friction of your clit against his sweatpants. His cock, hard and pressed against your inner thigh, makes something heavy pool in your belly. It’s not long before your lips are moving down his body in search of it.
You press open mouthed kisses across his jaw, down his neck and torso. Bradley groans above you, his hand pressing against the back of your head, and you can’t tell if he’s pushing you lower or trying to get your mouth back on his. Still, your lips continue their trek lower, over the planes of his stomach, to the carved lines of his hips.
You run the tip of your tongue over the muscles that lead to his cock. The choked moan he lets out has you clenching your thighs as your clit throbs. You only get his sweatpants down a little more to kiss the top of his thighs, when the hand on your neck squeezes.
“Wait,” Bradley chokes out.
You look up at him, bottom lip trapped between your teeth. “Yes?”
“You’re cheating,” he says, chest heaving.
You sit up and tug his sweats down his legs. “If all it takes is a few kisses to make you come, this is gonna be easier than I thought.”
“You’re gonna need the head start.” He winks and taps his chin. “Get your ass up here.”
You raise up on your knees and turn slowly, wiggling your hips as you position yourself slowly. “Having second thoughts?”
Bradley’s hand lands on your butt sharply. “Not a chance. I’m taking you to dinner.” He rubs the sting away with his large palm. “Fucking beautiful.” He pulls you right over his face.
You hum, and wrap your hand around his stiff cock, feeling the weight of him in your palm. His breath hits your cunt in wrecked gasps, making you shudder. Under normal circumstances, you’d stroke him slowly, relishing his quiet groans. Watching his sanity slowly slip away. Teasing him until he got impatient and either begged for you or took matters into his own hands.
But these are not normal circumstances. You have a job to do.
You lean forward, mouthing at the base of Bradley’s cock. You run your tongue over every ridge and vein, from top to bottom.
“Shit.” Bradley moans. “Fuck, that’s it.”
This’ll be a piece of cake. With the way he’s moaning under you, Bradley will be coming in no time. You’ve got him hook, line and sinker. You can almost taste the sweet victory…and then Bradley recovers from the shock.
He pulls your hips down onto his face and slowly drags the tip of his tongue from your clit to your entrance and back again. He hums at the taste of you, wrapping his lips around your clit and working at the nerves with a flat tongue. You can’t help it. You moan lowly, and rock your hips down onto his chin–all thoughts of the bet wiped clean from your mind.
“Bradley,” you whine and drop your forehead against his thigh.
Electricity races up your spine and you shudder. It’s almost overwhelming. Bradley knows your body too well. Knows all the things that have you careening towards the edge already. It’s embarrassing how worked up you are. Your toes curl against the pillows, and you try to will yourself to get a grip. At the very least, to stop helping him win. You swear you can almost feel his cocky grin against you.
You might have bitten off more than you can chew.
Bradley chuckles, and it snaps you back to reality. You won’t go down without a fight.
You wrap your lips around his cock, matching the fervor with which his lips move against your cunt. You swallow him down, stroking what you can’t fit into your mouth. Your hand glides over his cock easily, aided by the mess of your saliva.
His chuckles turn into a moan. You’re not out of this just yet.
It’s a desperate race. Hot and sticky. Fueled by desire and broken moans. Your bodies writhe against each other, hips lifting and pushing, seeking the warm embrace of lips and spit. Muffled groans and smacking sounds fill the room.
But it can’t last forever, and you won’t last much longer.
You let his cock slip from your mouth and kiss down the shaft. Your hand keeps its steady rhythm, even as Bradley presses a finger into your entrance. Your lips travel over his thighs, teeth digging little marks into his skin. Then, slowly, gently, you suck on his balls.
Bradley loses it. His hips buck up into your hand. He groans and pulls away to bite out a curse. Jesus. His head spins, and he swears he feels his soul leave his body for a moment. He breathes harshly through his nose, steadying himself. In. Out. In. Out. And then a second finger joins the first thrusting into you, and his tongue swirls around your clit once more.
Your legs begin to tremble around his head, the tell tale sign of your orgasm. Holding yourself up has become a chore, and Bradley doesn’t let up. Determined to make you come. Determined to get that first date. But you’re just as determined to bring him to the edge with you.
He takes one of his fingers, slick from the warmth of your dripping pussy, and teases your ass. Pressing the digit into you just slightly. At the same time, Bradley slurps your clit back into his mouth. The combination is lethal, and it’s the breaking point.
You come with a cry that’s muffled by Bradley’s thigh. You rock your hips against his face wantonly as the embers turn into a wildfire. Bradley groans as you explode on his tongue. He works you through it, greedily kissing your clit while his fingers still fuck into you. Licking and sucking at your cunt until you’re an overstimulated puddle. Only then does he pull away with a filthy pop, and a harsh smack to your ass.
You collapse onto the bed beside Bradley, and stare up at the ceiling. “Wow.” You can’t even be upset about losing, fucked out and sated as you are.
You wait for the inevitable teasing, but it never comes. Instead, Bradley kisses your ankle, and rubs his thumb over your knee. Content to sit here with you in comfortable silence until your breathing has settled.
When the rise and fall of your chest has finally begun to steady, Bradley breaks the silence, propping himself up on his elbows to grin at you. “Best two out of three?”

The Rustler, 2
Written for @throneofglassmicrofics July prompt "Outlaw" & this part also uses "Finagle"
The Rustler masterlist
word count: 855
warnings: *giggles* none ;)
enjoy!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hat tugged low to protect against the blazing Western sun, Rowan Whitethorn urged the quarter horse beneath him into a gallop. "C'mon, boy," he coaxed. "Wanna fly?" The horse whickered as if in agreement and sprang forwards, hooves clattering across the grassy, dusty ground.
Even at a gallop, it took over an hour of hard riding until the crossbeam over the entrance to his nearest neighbor's ranch came into view. Rowan tugged on the reins, pulling the horse back into a more sedate trot, and called out a greeting as he rode up the packed dirt path that led into the neighboring ranch.
"Anyone here?" His call echoed around the wide blue sky.
A moment later, another set of hooves clattered into his hearing, and a beautiful Paint mare trotted up with a woman on its back. "Howdy, neighbor!" Aelin Galathynius called, guiding her horse to a stop a few feet away from Rowan. "Long time no see, yeah?"
"Been a few months, I s'pose," Rowan admitted. He tugged his canteen out of his saddlebag and took a long, deep drink of water. "I reckon I came by to ask if'n ya had any trouble last night."
A stormy frown crossed Aelin's face. "How 'bout ya c'mon with me, Whitethorn, and I'll show ya?" She nudged her mare with her boot heels and led Rowan towards the west pasture of her ranch. Aelin was a cattle rancher, and her stock was well known throughout the region for being high quality.
As they came into the west pasture, Aelin slowed to a stop, dismounted, and tied her mare's reins to the fence post. On foot, she took Rowan to the fence line, and he whistled lowly at the sight. "Well...damn."
"You could say that," Aelin agreed. A good ten yards of her fence lay in ruins on the ground, and from the heavily trampled grass, it was clear that a good-sized portion of her cattle had been stolen. "Woke up this mornin' and came out to the pastures to find that some goddamned cattle rustlers must've gotten here first."
"Fuck, I'm sorry, Aelin," Rowan murmured. "Looks like I wasn't the only one targeted last night, then."
Aelin turned to him with a puzzled expression. "Whitethorn, ya don't own cattle."
"Nah, but I've got horses." He scowled. "Seems like your cattle rustler might've been in cahoots with the horse thieves who stole my Asterions."
"No," Aelin gasped. She rested one gloved hand on his forearm. "God, I'm so sorry, Rowan. Have ya told the sheriff?"
He scoffed. "What good would that do? Sheriff ain't been out to these parts in months."
"Guess so." Aelin removed her hand, but Rowan caught it, his hand warm and solid and strong around hers.
"Tell ya what, Ae," he began. "How 'bout a li'l partnership?"
She raised her brows skeptically. "You proposin' to me again, Rowan Whitethorn?"
An adorably vivid blush stained his tanned cheeks red. "Now why'd you go and bring that up again, Galathynius?" He flashed her a teasing grin. "Nah, you told me exactly what ya thought the first time I did that. So, here's my deal: I'll help you fix up your fence and look for the cattle rustlers if'n you'll help me catch the horse thieves."
"You askin' me to turn vigilante, Whitethorn?" Aelin joked. "Hell, after what happened last night, I'd be best off doin' just that." She stuck out her hand. "Throw that ranch hand of yours in to help with the fence and we've got us a deal."
"Alright." Rowan shook her hand firmly. "I'd best be gettin' back to my place now."
"Send word when ya want to talk 'bout capturin' some rustlers," Aelin said, waving as Rowan mounted his horse and rode away. He tipped his hat to her as he galloped down the road that led off of her property.
When he was no longer visible, she swung herself up onto her horse and nudged the mare's flanks with her spurs. "Let's get goin', my girl!" She headed off towards the eastern corner of her property, slowing to a walk when she reached the stand of scrubby trees that clustered around that corner of her ranch. Dismounting, she tied her mare's reins to a tree, set her up with a bucket of water, and headed off into the patch of shade that the hardy sycamores offered.
Tucked into a closely spaced cluster of trees was a stable big enough for a dozen horses, its wooden planks painted to blend in with the shadows of the trees overhead. Aelin rapped three times on the door and pushed it open, blinking in the hazy gloom of the windowless building. A horse whickered softly at her approach, and she strolled up to its stall and stroked its nose.
"Shh now, Kasida girl," she murmured, calming the beautiful silver Asterion mare who was still a little antsy after having been taken from her familiar, comfortable stall on Rowan Whitethorn's ranch.
"You'll be out in the wind tonight, my girl, I promise," Aelin whispered. "If we're lucky, you might even find yourself a new home."
Depression Master Post
I AM NOT A DOCTOR OR THERAPIST, JUST SAYING WHAT WORKS FOR ME
Tips that work for me:
♡Utilize your audio notes apps on your phone as an 'audio diary', talk to yourself like it's a podcast, interview, imaginary bestie etc
♡warm wet rag, toner (I use a bottle type and a spray type), moisturizer, Vaseline for a 'lazy' skincare routine. You can also use rose water to cleanse your face. This takes literally five minutes
♡modified stretches/workouts are your best friend, it's actually very easy to do stretches without getting outta bed or even moving your blanket!!
♡open up your blinds!!!!!
♡ensures and similar brands w/ extra protein for days you absolutely can't get out of bed
♡can't shower? No problem. You can get bathing cloths at any pharmacy otc (you can purchase with an HSA card as well!) Just add water to the pack no soap or rinsing needed
♡any food is better than no food!!!
♡90 minute rice + tuna packs are good 5 minute meals w/ some substance. You can add any add ins you want(I add fried egg and avocado)
♡download the finch app!! It's super cute and like a self care tamagotchi
♡allow yourself the time to rest
♡have a self love/feel good Playlist ready
♡rewatch your fave childhood show/movie. Anything that's been longer than 5 years since you've seen it works best imo
♡pedialyte AND water to keep hydrated, add a pinch of pink salt to the water
♡mix water, rubbing alcohol and essential oils to make an air freshner spray for bedding and clothing
♡if you're not on any medications, combine l-theanine and st John's wort supplements for mood health (can also add St John's wort, damiana, lavender and mint/catnip to a tea or smoke blend)
♡pure tart cherry juice before bed to help you sleep
♡download the I Am app and repeat the affirmations you see out loud thrice
♡can't brush your teeth? Get a water flosser and add a bit of mouthwash & peroxide to the reservoir to kill bacteria and remove stuck food
♡use pink or brown noise as your background for sleeping, you can find these on youtube
♡download MindDoc & Gratitude if you have the spoons to have prompts and questions to answer about your mood
♡digital coloring books!!! I use infinite painer and sketchbook on my Samsung tablet
♡if you scroll any app, pick the one you see the most positive or nontoxic feed (lemon8 and tumblr for me), this way your consumption is potentially bettering your life
♡charge your phone and other devices in a separate room/a few feet away from your bed to reduce scrolling and help promote getting out of bed to turn off alarms etc
♡daily shower spray cleaner, helps keep your tub clean. I spray after I get out
♡use Groupon to schedule yourself a moodboosting self care activity for the month (massage, tanning, filler, facial)
♡eat with a tray in bed
♡spray your fave body spray before bed
Hope these tips help someone!!! Add your own in the tags or reblog ♡
Happy House Spousing ♡♡♡♡
(( Art is commissioned from the incredibly talented ArtReplicant. Original story by me. )) Greg entered the mat room to see Daniel standing in the middle of the mat waiting for him to arrive. Daniel struck an imposing figure in the light of the warehouse standing alone with the light striking off his tan body. Daniel stood with his arms on his hips dressed in basic black compression shorts. His 6-foot 1-inch frame was massively muscular. All Greg knew about Daniel was that Daniel was the gatekeeper of both the pack and the elites of the pack. To grow the pack, Garin, the GM, would send out Daniel, his Zeta, to go to underground fights using Scrap, the app, to scout talent. Daniel would then insert himself into the fights to work his way to fight the prospective talent. Daniel would invite the prospect to join the pack down in Florida based on the prospect's performance in the fight. None of the prospects that Daniel had invited ever beat him in those fights. In fact, Daniel only lost to one prospect: Wyatt and that was in a bar fight. However, if you ask Wyatt about that fight, he'll tell you Daniel won because of the damage Daniel did to Wyatt's face and the fact that Wyatt couldn't knock Daniel out. Daniel, conversely, contents Wyatt won because Daniel couldn't put Wyatt away like he's done to every other prospect he's come across.  However, Daniel hadn't had the chance to fight Greg out in the underground fight world. Garin and Daniel could never track Greg down until Garin used some contacts at the Pentagon. By then, Greg had already arrived here with the bogus invitation to fight. Daniel was forced to watch a prospect fight another guy. Greg had skills as a fighter, much like Daniel expected, but Daniel felt that Greg held back. Daniel convinced Garin to prohibit Greg from any other fights until Daniel could test Greg. Garin reluctantly agreed, having nothing but absolute trust in his closest friend. Daniel purposely waited a little bit to piss Greg off. But this evening, Daniel would force Greg to show all his cards or be humiliated. Greg stopped just short of Daniel looking slightly up at the taller man. Daniel moved right into Greg's face and brought his arms and fists up into a fight stance, "You don't belong here," Daniel glared trying to intimidate Greg. In reality, Daniel knew full well that not only did Greg belong, but he was sorely needed to move the club forward with the most recent activity in the surrounding towns. Greg's only response was to lean in and put his arms and hands up in a fight stance as well. The two looked each other dead in the eyes, their foreheads nearly touching. Daniel smirked, "I'm going to enjoy destroying you."  "You barred others from fighting me and you're preventing me from claiming what I want. You're an inconvenience at best, old man. Time to remove said inconvenience."
ATEEZ and your sunburn
You got a really bad sunburn during your beach girl with your besties. This is the way each of the ATEEZ members would react after you came home that evening.
Mingi
Tumblr media
As soon as you walk into your bedroom and Mingi sees you, he shakes his head dissapointingly.
"I wore sunscreen-" you tried, but he interrupted you with a tsk-tsk-tsk.
"Now this just wont do." he said, leaning back on his pillow. "Come closer so I can inspect the damage.
You sulk over, and lift your top to show off your back, but once again he tsk-tsk-tsk you.
"Now you know that won't do baby. Strip." he demands. And so you do, because who are you to argue back to your man.
After you are completely naked, he sits up and pulls you to him. "Now why would the sun damaged daddy's previous goods like this?"
San
Tumblr media
When you walk into your house, San is already sat in the living room waiting for you.
"I heard you got burned Kitten. This isn't acceptable." he says getting off the coach, before you could even take if your shoes.
"How did you know?" you manage to get out, before he reached you.
"I had your friend give me hourly updates regarding your whereabouts and events. But no stress, Sir has already booked you a Aloe Vera full body massage. We are leaving this instant." he says, putting his own shoes on.
"San, you really didn't have to do that." you say as he guides you out the door.
"Please call me Sir y/n. And no worries, it's the least I could do. Afterwards, we will get Five Guys."
Hongjoong
Tumblr media
When you enter your bedroom, you see Hongjoong laying on the bed with a face mask on, half asleep.
"Hongjoong~" you say gently, while starting to pack your stuff away. "I'm back."
He stirs awake quickly at the sound of your voice, and start stretching. "How's my babygiiiirl?" he says with a yawn.
"Not the best, at the beach I-" you begin, but he cuts you off.
"Not the best? I will hurt however put you in a bad moo- oh god, oh no, oh god, what happened to my precious babygirl's skin!" Hongjoong says when he finally sits up and sees your burnt state.
"The sun burned me" you say pouting.
"This wont do!" he says, jumping of the bed, removing his face mask and putting it on your burnt face. "Wait here!"
He runs to the bathroom, and when he returns he's got a tube with aftersun cream. "Lay down on the bed."
You do, and he spends the next hours rubbing you with lotion.
Junho
Tumblr media
You walked into the room, and at first Jongho didn't notice your bright red face and burning legs and arms, because he was playing Minecraft on this Nintendo Switch. You guys did your greetings, and you just headed to the bathroom to take a shower and apply your aloe vera.
When you came back into the bedroom, and Jungho finally looked up on you, a confused expression crossed his face.
"Y/n.. why are you red all over..." he said, while slowly lowering his switch.
"Because I got burned." you sigh back, while sitting down in the bed.
"Burned...? I don't understand." he said.
"By the sun? Like sunburned?"
His mouth opens in a shocked expression, and he looks you up and down.
"Oh no!! How dare the sun do that!! I will kissy kissy it all good with my healing mouth!" he said, before lifting your shirt and giving you kisses all over your tummy.
"Ow, that hurts!" you say, but he is busy moving on to your legs.
Seonghwa
Tumblr media
You walk into you apartment and are met with Seonghwa sat on the floor in the living room, building a LEGO set.
"Seonghwa I'm home!" you say making your way into the living room, and you see him smile at your voice. However, when his gaze lifts up to you, his smile turns into an awkard grimace.
"Oh wow y/n! That's, ehh, that sure is one hell of a tan!" he says awkwardly
"It's not a tan, I got burned Seonghwa, badly aswell." you say, showing him your arms and legs. By this, his eyes widen.
"Oh no.... y/n, do you know what percentage the sun UV's need to be at for you to get burned like that! And do you know the statistics for how much excessive sun can turn into skin damage, or worse, cancer! You need to calculate all the outcomes before you put yourself into suck ris-" he starts panicking, but you break off his nerd-spew by kissing him. You break the kiss after a while, and grabs his head. "Shut up, and help lotion me up bad boy."
Yeosang
Tumblr media
As soon as you enter the door to your apartment, you hear the American national anthem blasting from the living room. Extremely confused, and in alot of pain, you walk in to see Yeosang and Seonghwa in matching pj's, having a little traditional jig.
"Wha-" is all you manage to get out before Yeosang waltzes over to you.
"My dearest, why do you appear so scarlet? Are you quite well?"
You sigh and shake your head.
"No, I got burned today at the beach Yeosang."
"Oh no, what a terrible outcome! I wish you best recoveries, however I must continue entertaining my company. I will see you in the bed chamber later." he says, before waltzing back over to Seonghwa. You sigh, and go to the bathroom to take care of your burns.
Wooyoung
Tumblr media
When Wooyoung first lays eyes on you as you enter your apartment, you could feel his whole soul sinking.
"Woo.." you tried gently, but he turned around, not wanting to look at you.
"I promise I was careful-" you try again, but he cuts you off.
"What was it all for? All the aloe I grow, the premium sun screen, the cover ups and the umbrellas?" he says, a whimper in his voice telling you he is about to cry.
"Oh, Woo.. I'll be okay." you say, walking up to him and embracing him. Feeling your touch, he can't help it - the beasts within him dies down and he starts crying, hugging you back.
"I just don't want Woo's girl to be in pain." he hulks.
"I know Wooyoung, I know."
Yunho
Tumblr media
You come home, and Junho is dead asleep. You try to wake him up, but nothing works so you leave him be and go take your shower. When you are done, he is still fast asleep, so you give him a little nudge.
"Junhoooo~" you try waking him up, mostly because you want someone to feel sorry for you for the painful burns all over your body.
He finally stirs a little, and you lean down next to him, with a small pout.
"Wahh.. what's up, y/n?" Junho says tiredly, with a yawn at the end of the sentence, still with his eyes shut.
"I got burned today at the beach" you pout. He finally opens one eye, looking at you quickly, before he yawns again.
"Damn, that sucks." he says, before turning over and falling back asleep.
Elrya: The New World By T. A. Onkọwe (Me)
4 - Lǐzhì-Mei
The following are instructions to make an invisibility potion:
1. Grind together 1/2 teaspoon each of ground ginger, nutmeg, and gryphon saliva in a mortar.
2. Add these ingredients to a cauldron containing equal parts boiling water and mantrap leaves at a volume of 120 litres.
3. Stir the mixture clockwise over a medium flame until it turns a light green colour.
4. Add the following: -1 pint of manticore venom -1 ounce of maiden's hair -A sheep's eye -55 pints of pulverised sky serpent scales
5. Stir the mixture until it thickens and turns a deep dark purple colour.
6. Turn the flame down just barely and let the concoction simmer to a syrupy consistency.
7. Remove the cauldron from the heat and let it cool.
8. Once cooled, bottle the potion and drink it to achieve the desired effects.
- From the 11th edition of the compendium of rare and experimental potions, by Arcturus Zephyr and others.
The miniature Jung fleet which surrounded her tea ship split their formation and hung back, letting her little tea ship speed past.
Lǐzhì bounced on her feet, eagerly awaiting landing on the holy island and, far more importantly, the fellow demigods who were supposed to be there More people like her presented a wonderful research opportunity! She could finally test her observations against other test subjects instead of endlessly theorising.
What a wonderful scientific opportunity!
Lǐzhì watched the sailors prepare to dock as they approached the golden shores of Zhōngxīn. She hadn't touched land in a month and was eager to disembark. She rushed up to her cabin and rushed through her rooms, packing her alchemical supplies and spell scrolls away before rushing back on deck with her stuffed pack.
"Chin up Mei, don't hide your face." Yù-Liàng tutted. Liàng was a short, stout woman draped in many layers of silk and jade jewellery. Her dark, pitch-dyed raven hair was perfectly sculpted, and her makeup was exactingly applied.
"I'm not." Lǐzhì sulked, resisting the urge to do so.
"You are, and you need to be at your best." Liàng admonished as the ship began to dock.
"You said I'd be perfect for this."
"And I'm not taking that back, but you need to be presentable. You're meeting with other demigods, some of which are of the nobility, and high priests. You're representing all of us."
"I know that. I've spent my whole life preparing for this." Lǐzhì lifted her hand and drew a character in the air in front of her. Her bags lifted jerkily, bobbing and floating along behind her as they disembarked.
"This is what I'm talking about." Liàng reached forward and corrected her rune, refining her sloppy handwriting. Her bags moved along smoothly now. "Magic is supposed to be refined and elegant. Your form and character work... is not."
In combat, there isn't time to keep your magic pristine. Lǐzhì was about to bring that up, about to rehash the same arguments they've already had over and over when Hua appeared. The tanned older sailor hobbled forward on a simple wooden cane to greet Lǐzhì's delegation. They had sailed ahead of the group to prepare things for her, a measure Lǐzhì thought was unnecessary, but she was so glad they were here now.
"Liàng, I don't think now is the time for a lecture. We wouldn't want our esteemed allies to be kept waiting?" They walked up to Lǐzhì and placed a kind hand on her shoulder.
Liàng sighed. "Fine. I will speak to the Kyst delegation to make sure your accommodation is prepared." Liàng flounced away, leaving Lǐzhì and Hua alone to speak.
"I wanted to check you were all packed and ready and I see you... certainly are." They glanced at her overflowing baggage.
"Yep," She patted her floating pack.
"Good. How are you feeling?"
"Excited but anxious?" Lǐzhì paused then whispered. "I want them to like me."
"The bonds I made as a soldier lasted with me my whole life." They set a heavy reassuring hand on Lǐzhì's Shoulder. "You will find your place."
My place? What is my place? What if they have another spellcaster? A better one? Will they even need me? What if Liàng is correct and they think I'm clumsy? Pathetic? Lazy?
Talentless? Defec-
"I see I have only made your worries worse." Hua frowned. "Trust me. You will be fine."
Fine, fine, perfectly fine. I'm fine, fine...
Lǐzhì chanted to herself quietly as she disembarked from her tea ship and walked onto the docks, surrounded by her guards and retinue. The docks were full of other foreign ships and sailors: dark skinned O'Àwiṣuran's sailors with their deep multi-decked canoes, fair-haired Cerisi with their longships, and so many others. Her retinue met a delegation of priests
headed by a grey and stooped over, golden robbed priestess followed by younger priests and their guards. The priestess walked with the help of a wooden staff, topped with a golden cage that held a flickering flame.
"Welcome to Zhōngxīn." The priestess spoke in a soft raspy voice. "I am Mother Qiara, and I will be your guide while you're here, Lady of the Hǎimén, daughter of the Grand Zi of Shābīn-shāi."
"Thank you for your invitation, Mother Qiara stewardess of the flame." Lǐzhì bowed. "I am Mei, and these are my companions."
"If you follow me, I will take you to your accommodation."
Lǐzhì would have preferred to walk, or float, but Liàng would sooner die than let her do something as unnoble as walking and Hua couldn't save her this time, so Lǐzhì awkwardly stepped into a litter that her servants dragged down from the ship. Lǐzhì train of people followed Qiara's through the city, her entourage in tow. The city was bustling with people, all of whom stopped to stare at Lǐzhì and her entourage. She tried to ignore them, but it was hard. She was used to being stared at (one doesn't use a litter as their main form of transportation and not expect stares), but not like this, not stares of adoration and...
...devotion?
"They're staring at me," Lǐzhì whispered to Hua who walked next to her litter. Liàng sat slightly behind to her left in her own smaller litter.
"It's not everyday one sees a godling walking among us," Hua whispered back.
Lǐzhì frowned and shrank back into the litter, trying to hide herself from the crowds behind the litter's silken curtains and plush pillows.
"Don't hide your face, Mei." Liàng said. "You can't let them think you're too stuck up to make eye contact. But don't make too much eye contact, or they'll think you're overcompensating. You need to be proud but not too proud."
Stuck up? Am I stuck up? I hate eye-contact. Why do people love eye-contact so much? Overcompensating? I didn't know there was such a thing as too little eye contact? What's wrong with people? Or is there something wrong with m-
Lǐzhì took a deep breath, closed her eyes and righted herself. She stared straight ahead, trying to shove her anxiety down as she carefully and mechanically made eye contact with a few random bystanders. She felt like an automaton, but that's probably what Liàng wanted. The procession continued through the city and began cresting up a hill towards the city centre and the temple square.
HOW TO REMOVE TAN FROM FACE AND BODY
best skin doctor in pimple saudagar
HOW TO CLEAR TANNING FROM THE BODY AND FACE -
Lemon Juice with Honey, first We don't advise using lemon, which is our major ingredient, on its own because it is so acidic by nature and might induce photosensitivity, etc. This is especially true before going outside in the sun.
Yogurt and whole-wheat flour Gram flour will gently exfoliate your skin to bring out your natural brightness, while curd, which is high in lactic acid and probiotics, will heal and moisturise burnt skin. For at least two weeks, repeat this procedure daily to completely remove your tan and reveal luscious, velvety skin.
3. Tomato Whichever name you give it, this scarlet fruit has a big and well-deserved fan base. Tomato is rich in lycopene, a natural sunscreen, and is packed with antioxidants that fend against free radical damage. Redness, skin damage, and discolouration will soon be issues of the past.
