チェブレキもどきを焼いて食す。具は手作りミートソース。本当はもっと皮が薄くて、たっぷりめの油で揚げるのだが、油少なめで焼いたら「お焼き」みたいになった。まあ、これはこれでうまい。

Went to an event held at our local museum/archives yesterday which was an Indigenous story and dance ceremony. It was so beautiful and I teared up more than once but when we got invited to dance in a circle, I swear that instantly healed something in me, I'm not even kidding.

Do you know how to cook? And if you do what do you love cooking?
I know how to cook and do it almost every day. I will cook pretty much anything Sasha or I are craving that day, I do remember making chebureki for Yuri pretty often back when I was still training him.

My next post in support of Ukraine is:
I went to the NW International Ukrainian Festival today & we had lunch there, so today's post is about food. 1, Crimean Tatar Chebureki, meat filled pastries, which is what we had for lunch. 2, Varenyky, which I've had the cheese ones & the potato ones. Both are delicious! 3, Borscht, which I haven't had yet, though my hubs gave me a taste of his the last time we had lunch at the Eastern European Market & next time we go, I'm getting my own bowl. 4, Salo, which is a cured pork fat. I haven't had that, though I'm very intrigued.

First of all: I adore your work. Realta has been keeping me going. I wake up WAITING for Wednesdays. The illustrations are beautiful, the plot is amazing, and the list could go on and on. So I thank you for that.
Secondly: I have a few questions about the gang. 1-How would they react to someone waking up scared from a nightmare? I know a lot (*cough* all *cough*) of them have trauma and it's not hard to imagine that it translates into dreams. 2- What's everyone's favorite food and/or animal?
Anyway, take care of yourself and have a tremendous day!
Thank you!!
I think a those answers would be the same as a previous ask, asking how they’d comfort someone from a panic attack.
And whoo boy here we go:
Elowen: currently Amelia’s pancakes / loves birds, especially crows now
Walden: also Amelia’s pancakes / crows obv
Amelia: strawberry tarts / loves frogs
Fletcher: cheesecake (and tequila) / loves dogs
Milo: Fletcher’s Mac and cheese / loves cats
Kasi: steamed pork buns / loves white tigers
Ava: her moms hummus / loves jellyfish
Eden: gumbo / loves highland cows
Oryn: Eden’s jambalaya / loves dogs
Rune: Chebureki (minced meat turnovers) / loves cats

Moldova Restaurant

This restaurant offers authentic Eastern European cuisine, making it perfect for family celebrations and everyday meals. Guests note that the dishes taste like homemade food, reminiscent of what a grandmother might prepare, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
The menu features traditional Russian and Eastern European dishes such as schnitzel, shashlik, chebureki, chicken Kiev, and more. Standout items include the compote, chicken schnitzel, and lamb liver. Hot appetizers and traditional dishes like shashlik and cheese pie are also highly praised, although some comments mentioned a need for a bit more salt and freshness in the baked goods.
The staff is especially noted for their friendliness and attentiveness. Service is fast and professional, making every visit enjoyable. A unique feature of the restaurant is the option to bring your own alcohol for a small corkage fee, adding convenience for special occasions.
The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming, making it a great place for gatherings with family and friends. Both Russian-speaking and other cultural guests appreciate the authenticity of the dishes and the warmth of the staff.
This restaurant is highly recommended for family events like baptisms and birthdays, as well as for those who want to enjoy traditional cuisine in a cozy setting. With its diverse menu and excellent service, this restaurant leaves a lasting impression and attracts loyal customers.

Lisenka offers Noelle some fresh cooked chebureki (a meat and onion dumpling that's fried golden brown in sunflower seed oil.)
"Here try, is good! Good for you. Will give you strength."
Tumblr media
"Ooo, that smells good. Thank you, Miss Lisenka." Noelle happily accepts the dumpling and takes a bite.
"Oh! Meat and....onion, I think?" She seems rather pleased with this gift.

Pafl motivated me to make chebureki at home from scratch bc there’d be no way to make it otherwise, then invited friends over to eat it and they just called it “Russian empanadas” and Ngl that killed a part of me inside
