Charles is a person created by cruelty and manipulation. Since his mother, the last real person to care about him, he had spent his life being used as a pawn for others gain. He only thirteen when he learned this lesson. At thirteen, kids are supposed to be rebellious but still loved and cherished, but Charles stopped being loved long before thirteen. Other thirteen year olds were worrying if they were mature enough to be seen as “real men” while Charles was coming to terms with the fact he would never be enough. He was younger than Arthur when Dutch and Hosea found him. He was nothing more than an unloved child. In his 20s he thought that maybe he could learn to trust again, only to be used all over again. Despite that, Charles helps those who need him, even when it’s inconvenient or impossible. He chooses to break the cycle, to choose kindness for others rather than push his hurt onto others. He also pushes kindness onto others who maybe cannot find it in themselves.

Getting p close to Twice’s death and the more I watch the more I’m like. Flabbergasted that people were SO mad at Hawks for killing him

Like I get that he’s a lovable character with a tragic backstory but his quirk is so dangerous 😭 Especially after getting over his trauma and being able to copy himself again, and being able to create a literal army of himself, Hawks was not kidding when he said how much of a threat Twice’s quirk is to the heroes. If Twice had lived the heroes would have lost 100%, THAT’S how fucking insane his quirk is. Dabi, who has shown that he doesn’t really care much for his fellow League members, went out of his way to protect Twice bc even HE knew how valuable of a quirk he has. And it’s not like Hawks didn’t give Twice a chance either, he literally told him to just surrender quietly and told him he’d help him start over bc he KNEW Twice was a good person, it was Twice fighting back that drove Hawks to kill him :’( And people were so mad at Hawks for that!! Y’all if he didn’t do something Japan would have been SO fucked, even more fucked than it already ended up being without Twice taking part in the war
