This helps Saffron greatly as she was able to calm down without incident and able to enjoy herself. Recently, she made friends with Risotto, the fifth prince of the Alps Kingdom and also has ATF. Acute Temper Fever:

What is it?: It’s a genetic disorder that affects emotional and impulse control. People with ATF usually have a parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent from the North Blue. There are even a few cases that ATF could be hereditary. It’s very uncommon as a small percentage of people worldwide have it.

Symptoms: It can cause unstable emotions, such as uncontrollable crying and extreme rage, and violent outbursts. It also causes the hair and nails to be brittle due to the abnormal release of hormones from the thyroid. Strangely, nails have grown to a faster rate. They are more likely to commit self-harm but doesn’t have any sort of suicidal tendencies.

Treatments: Behavioral therapy can help the individual to help their impulse control. Hormonal treatment to decrease the stress hormones and adrenaline. It’s very important for the person with ATF received this every two weeks. Therapy pets are sometimes recommended.

What NOT to do: Physical punishment is the WORST thing someone can do to a child with ATF. This can lead the child to become even MORE violent and can make them scream for hours, or even DAYS, at a time. It can lead to the child attacking the person and self-harm at the same time. Bringing up an unwanted memory to the individual can also lead them to be violent.

Whisky King Prawn Tails in Saffron and Pea Cream

These beautiful Whisky King Prawn Tails in Saffron and Pea Cream were our flavourful and colourful main course on Christmas Eve! I reckon they’d make an excellent date night dinner, too! 

Ingredients (serves 2):

2 tablespoons olive oil

a dozen fresh King Prawn Tails

a generous pinch (about a heaped 1/4 teaspoon) saffron threads

1 large Green Onions, rinsed

1/4 cup good quality Whisky (like Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte)

a pinch of fleur de sel and freshly cracked black pepper

3/4 cup double cream

2 teaspoons demerara sugar

1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 cup frozen garden peas

In a large, deep skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Add King Prawn tails, and cook until they become bright pink, and just start browning. Reduce heat to medium-high, and stir in saffron threads. Cook, a couple of minutes more.

Finely chop white part of the Green Onion, reserving green part, and stir into the skillet. Once softened, pour Whisky all over the prawn tails, and carefully ignite with a match. Flambé, until flames completely die down. Then, season with fleur de sel and black pepper. 

Stir in double cream, and bring to a slow boil. Then, reduce heat to low, and simmer, ten minutes. Stir in demerara sugar until dissolved.

Meanwhile, bring a medium saucepan of water to the boil. Stir in coarse sea salt and bicarbonate of soda until dissolved. Then, add frozen garden peas, and cook, about 5 minutes until tender. Drain thoroughly, and stir the peas into the skillet, coating in saffron cream. Cook, a couple of minutes.

Finely chop green part of the Green Onion.

Serve Whisky King Prawn Tails in Saffron and Pea Cream hot, sprinkled with chopped Green Onion.
