Callum is gonna FLIP OUT when he finds out that aaravos is out and he took the candy to the starscraper that’s gonna be bad. And EZRAN TOOO we never see ezran so worked up like we did this season and i’m scared and a little curious to see how he’s gonna be now that katolis is pretty much destroyed. But hey only 3 months until s7 :P

Eu entendi que Aaravos não sabe onde ele está preso, e a criatura que está guiando eles é a que saiu do espelho para que Aaravos pudesse se comunicar com Viren, então ele não deveria saber que Rex Igneous pode ajudar eles ou saber algo sobre onde é a prisão de Aaravos.

DG: Aaravos não sabe ONDE ele está aprisionado — ou até a natureza de sua prisão — mas ele sabe QUEM aprisionou ele. Ele também sabe que Avizandum está morto. Então, a criatura que nasceu da crisálida (que está infundida com a vontade de Aaravos, eu diria) guia Claudia, Terry e Viren até Rex Igneous como uma primeira etapa funcional para procurar respostas.

“For as long as I can remember, it’s always been August, Cooper, Shepard, and me. So it was fitting that we all ended up at the same university, in the same small, sleepy town.

Shepard Connelly, aka August’s best friend, had grown taller and broader over this summer. Gorgeous was just one of the words used to describe the dark haired boy that had starred in many fantasies of mine. As if predestined, my focus drifted down to his lips just above his chiseled jawline. When that mouth of his sprouted a wicked grin, I caught myself and shifted my gaze up to find his summer blue eyes trained on me.

Then his smile twisted into a smirk, and I spun around to hide the growing bonfires in my cheeks. I did it just in time for August to push open the door and make a mad dash for the stairs off to the right.

Cool air blew out of the house colliding with the Oklahoma heat in the height of summer. But it was the inferno created by Shep’s gaze that needed taming. I took a step inside and shivered from the sudden change in temperature. I came up short when I saw a cute guy sitting in a wheelchair. He sat there on the side of the island in the kitchen about ten feet in front of me looking more comfortable in his skin than I felt.

Cooper stepped up beside me, and Shepard stopped at my back. Flames like a lit fuse heated my back like a caress over my skin. Shepard hadn’t touched me, but his presence was as familiar as my dreams of him. Oh, how I’d longed for him to close the gap between us and touch me like I’d heard he’d touched girls in our old high school, but it was time to give up that pipe dream.”

Review

“Read” this book as an audiobook, and it was quite nice. Since it’s a dual point of view, there was a male reader and a female reader--first time for me, and it worked (although the male voice sounds much older than the freshman he’s supposed to be...). There could have been some background noises--especially music, as the title refers to Shepard’s hobby--but it’s okay.

As for the story itself, it was a cute one. I enjoyed the kids’ hesitations as well as their passion--for music and/or football as well as for each other. Shepard and Finley are an adorable couple.

I also really liked the twist that endangers everything: Shep is accused of raping a girl he’s been seen with. SPOILER he didn’t, and the girl lies because she suffers from the trauma of a real rape, but she’s really described as a victim even though she put Shep (and another guy) through hell END OF SPOILER

It’s a college romance, so there shouldn’t be anything heavy in it, and yet, Terri E Laine chooses to write about girls who break the glass ceiling. Great! The book is also about choices--the ones you make, and the ones you refuse to make, and also the ones that are made for you.

All in all a really enjoyable read!

Dokumen Pertimbangan ke 2 masih di draft ternyata. Hehe.

Hari ini seperti hari-hari sebelumnya, ngecek email, baca e-newspaper dan email lain termasuk dari Quora (setiap hari ada aja postingan yg dikirim). Kemudian di salah satu postingan Quora, mereka ngomongin orang-orang dengan IQ tinggi, salah satunya Terence Tao. Bukannya menyelesaikan kurasi manuskrip, malah ngepoin tentang Terence Tao, maklum penyakit gampang terdistraksi.

Sama seperti kalau membaca kisah hidup orang-orang yang punya pemahaman dalem banget di bidang mereka, pasti diceritain tentang orang tua dan dalam lingkungan apa dia tumbuh.

Ketika cerita kilas balik saat Terry akhirnya enggak masuk ke tingkat sekolah seperti anak seumurannya (misal, dia umur 6 tahun tapi dah ikut pelajaran SMP), dia menjelaskan —orang tuanya mengakselerasi Terry bukan karena ingin anaknya jadi nomer satu atau paling unggul, tapi mereka cuma merasa kalau berada di tempat yang sesuai dengan usianya, itu bukan lingkungan yang terbaik untuk Terry.

Maksud dia, orang tua nya cuma memberikan lingkungan terbaik untuk anaknya.

Ini penting banget, dan mungkin tidak banyak orang punya kemewahan ini, atau memaknai lingkungan terbaik sebijak orang tuanya Terry.

Sebagai orang tua di masa yang akan datang, menyiapkan lingkungan terbaik dan bekal (finansial salah satunya) untuk mendapatkan lingkungan terbaik bagi anak tentu penting.

Tapi di saat ini, mengusahakan lingkungan yang terbaik untuk diri kita juga sama pentingnya, karena we are still growing, kita masih harus bertumbuh untuk jadi dewasa yang lebih bijak dan arif yang lebih luas dan dalam ilmu serta amalnya.

Kadang-kadang di setiap baca artikel ilmiah atau ngepoin kelompok riset, kepikiran banget betapa mahalnya nikmat bisa fokus ngurusin satu hal tanpa harus kepikiran banyak hal lainnya. Maksudku, bisa fokus nge riset (dan beribadah) aja tanpa embel-embel mikir A, B, C, D kayaknya asyik banget.

Per 11 Maret ini, arah pertimbangan mau kemana setelah ini sudah lebih mengerucut setelah akhirnya ngobrol lebih lama dan dalam sama Ayah, Ibu, Aiman, Mis dan beberapa orang di Lapor. Mereka mendukung, bukan cuma merelakan.

Sekarang tinggal bagaimana usaha menuju lingkungan yang kita rasa terbaik itu.

Tentu ini semua prasangka manusia, tapi kalau kita enggak nyoba bagaimana kita tau Allah meridhoi atau enggak.

I’m caught up with my reviews, yay! I was offered a new free audible trial–right in the middle of an audible crazy sale. They’re good. They’re reaaaaally good. So of course, I took advantage of it.
