I love a good second hand find! Bought this Next jacket today from a charity shop for £9! . It fits perfectly, is really warm and has Pockets! Whoever has taken The_fashionstalker could you please return her ASAP..... . SLOW FASHION SEASON . I hereby pledge to buy no `new’ clothing between the 21st of June and the 21st of September 2019. Buying only second-hand. Yes! I’ve signed up for #slowfashionseason with @slowfashion and @collaction_org along with a whopping 14,000+. The aim: 3 months 10,000 people No new clothes. When the gorgeous Kirsty @girlwithbellsandwhistles messaged and asked if I would take part, I was thinking there’s no way I could ever do that! I went on to explain why I couldn’t do this and at the same time thinking these are excuses not reasons! Yes I have holidays coming up, yes I have special occasions to attend. Today is my 25th birthday, and as I do every year on the 7th of June, I’ve been reflecting on the past 12 months . Mostly I’ve been trying to not to focus on the things that could have been, our wedding, first anniversary, countless holidays and time spent with people we love . All of those things would have been amazing but at the same time I’ve spent the past year learning to love the little things; time spent gardening, making art, listening to music, watching the world go by. I’ve learned to appreciate the food that I eat, my physical imperfections, the sun and (more often than that) the rain on my skin . I feel lucky to have my fiancé, my friends, my family, my gorgeous cat! I feel lucky to be alive and healthy and to be in a position where I can give small donations to keep others alive and healthy too .
