Yozakura Battle Anthem
Bring the Beat!
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
What, did you really think you weren't gonna hear from us next?
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Aranai:]
Time to show all you fuckers just whose running this place
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
You should have known better not to fuck with any of us
That was your first and final mistake
["New" Yozakura:]
Now the Yozakura is gonna make you break!
[Aranai:]
Riding through the streets, I'm the leader of the pack
Revving up my Yamaha, I'm on the right track
From Bōsōzoku to rap, I've made my claim
Ride or Die motherfuckers, best remember the name!
[Sumire:]
Hacking the system, breaking the code
Diabla in the shadows, watch my story unfold!
Rebel with a cause, in the cyber world I dive
Striving for a new order where we all can thrive
[Kaoru:]
Weaving webs of data, Arachne's the name
In the digital realm, I rise to fame
With every keystroke, I command the stage
My rhymes are timeless, like words on a page
[Kanra:]
Yeah!
Strength of a titan, heart of a child
D.Vil is my name, and I'm running wild!
Amnesia can't hold back the power I wield
No way in the world will I ever yield!
[Kureha:]
In the moon's shadow, my sorrow's muse
Eclipse whispers tales of hues so blue
A canvas of memories, lost in the night
Longing for dawn, I'm the forlorn twilight
[Taria:]
Misfit on the mic, I steal the entire damn show
With every trick I've got, I let the people know
From street to stage, I bring the heat
Simply put, I just can't be beat!
[Aika:]
VeeXn reigns, in pleasure's play
Ruling both the night and the day
Fox in the spotlight, I weave my trance
Living for joy, in every glance
[Aranai:]
Our names are etched in the street
No challenge too great, no defeat
We ride as one, an unbreakable wall
Stand with us, or witness your fall
["New" Yozakura:]
24/7!
Let this be a lesson to all of our enemies!
24/7!
In our domain, we always reign supreme!
[Aranai:]
Wanna fight against us?
["New" Yozakura:]
Idiots! Idiots!
[Aranai:]
Shoulda begged for mercy
["New" Yozakura:]
Now there's nothing to discuss!
Yozakura's bond, tight as the seven seas
Our unity's a force, a real damn dream team!
24/7!
Our spirit, wild and free
From the same creed, this we decree!
24/7!
With every verse, we synergize
Behold our untamed, vibrant energies!
[Aranai:]
Crossing our path is a quick way to Heaven
So a fair warning: don't fuck with the Seven
["New" Yozakura:]
Seven shadows, seven threats, seven reasons to fret
Cross us and it's a choice you'll regret!
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
What, did you really think you weren't gonna hear from us next?
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Aranai:]
Time to show all you fuckers just whose running this place
["New" Yozakura:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Aranai:]
You should have known better not to fuck with any of us
That was your first and final mistake
["New" Yozakura:]
Now the Yozakura is gonna make you break!
[Aranai:]
I'm the beacon, the flame, the undying light
"HBIC," they chant, through the day and night
Criminals cower, even they dial for aid
To escape my fury, a price to be paid
[Sumire:]
Right hand of shadows, The Devil's my creed
Cross Yozakura, it's the end you've decreed
Juu, that fuckin' church girl, a yandere in disguise
Against us, her facade will be her demise
[Kaoru:]
Athena's wisdom, Arachne's war
My strategies set, my intellect's core
Fools rush to battle, their ignorance a token
Against my plans, they'll all leave broken
[Kanra:]
Muscle and might, that's my call
Guardian of Yozakura, I stand tall
(Damn!)
A demon to foes, mercy they'll crave
Choose your next step, be brave or the grave!
[Kureha:]
Quiet, unassuming, but fierce in the fray
In the Realm of Darkness, I hold sway
Stronger than the raven, night's own bird
Underestimate me, and your vision will be blurred
[Taria:]
The MiA, I claim what's mine, no debate
From the hands of foes, I liberate
Behave or beware, I'm the thief in the night
Cross me, and I'll take more than just your plight
[Aika:]
Enchantress of night, fox's allure
My power's vast, of that be sure
Tempt fate with me, you'll lose it all
In VeeXn's thrall, into my spell you'll fall
[Aranai:]
Words are spent, our message clear
Defiance in our eyes, confront your fear
Step in our sight, the fuckin' fault's your own
Beware the storm the Yozakura have sown
["New" Yozakura:]
24/7!
Let this be a lesson to all of our enemies!
24/7!
In our domain, we always reign supreme!
[Aranai:]
Wanna fight against us?
["New" Yozakura:]
Idiots! Idiots!

Kito Battle Anthem
Bring The Beat!
[Kito-gumi:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sakura:]
We’ll show you who runs this city
[Kito-gumi:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Sakura:]
Any who oppose will meet their doom
[Kito-gumi:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sakura:]
Fuck with us and it’s your tomb
Better be quick on the uptake
[Kito-gumi:]
Or the Kito are going to see you break!
[Sakura:]
Let it be known that I’m the queen here
So get on your knees and revere
The punishment if you don’t will be severe
Now do I make myself clear?
[Shinji:]
Seems like it’s this old man’s turn
I’ll only say this once, leave and never return
Our wrath is nothing you’ll survive
We won’t let you escape here alive
[Lucille:]
Gambling is this girl’s choice of vice
Winning every game with my lucky dice
Now come on try your luck
I’ll win your soul for only a buck
[Nurarihyon:]
Oh good I was beginning to get bored
Not anymore with this fool at the end of my sword
I may only have one eye
But even I can see you’re about to die!
[Irina:]
Cold and unfeeling, I’m like ice
Go against me? Then better think twice
I’m a one-woman dreadnaught
And I never miss a shot
[Fengzhui:]
Time is money so let’s make this quick
I have no patience for those who try and be slick
Especially for those who leave their dues unpaid
You’ll find yourself at the end of my fist, I’m afraid
[Hikaru:]
Sex and pleasure are my domain
Disrupt it and you’re in for a world of pain
Ugh you're not worth bringing out my good chains
Now be dear and don’t leave a stain
[Sakura:]
Now that we’ve set the record straight
There is nothing more to debate
The Kito will never fall
We’ll forever stand tall
[Kito-gumi:]
24/7!
A warning for all who want to fight!
24/7!
Destroying you will be our delight!
[Sakura:]
Think you’ll win?
[Kito-gumi:]
Never! Never!
[Sakura:]
Better call your next of kin
[Kito-gumi:]
This is our empire of sin!
Go on and try to rebel
We’ll send you straight to hell!
24/7!
We’re the Kito, demons who run these streets!
24/7!
You won’t be leaving here in one piece!
[Sakura:]
Don’t say we didn’t warn you
You knew what you were getting into
[Kito-gumi:]
Damn right!
Ruling from the shadows!
You can’t overthrow us
Killing anyone who dares to oppose!
(1, 2, 3)
[Sakura:]
We’ll show you who runs this city
[Kito-gumi:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Sakura:]
Any who oppose will meet their doom
[Kito-gumi:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sakura:]
Fuck with us and it’s your tomb
Better be quick on the uptake
[Kito-gumi:]
Or the Kito are going to see you break!
[Sakura:]
Ruling this city from on my bloodsoaked throne
Don’t ever expect me to atone
But what else can you expect from a kin slayer?
So take my advice and recite your final prayer
[Shinji:]
From lowly beginnings to soaring heights
I’m proud to say it was quite the sight
All done by the child, I gladly call my own
Makes this old man proud to see how much she’s grown
[Lucille:]
Dead or Alive, Joker and Icarus have all placed their bets
It’s you against me in this game of roulette
Now you play a pretty good game, but give Lucky Lucy her due
You’ll never win ‘cause I’ll always be better than you
[Nurarihyon:]
Nurarihyon here! Out causing pandemonium tonight!
Giving everyone who crosses my path a fright
“BOO!”
Just kidding! I’m here to lead you to the afterlife
So just let me take your pitiful life
[Irina:]
One of the family’s best even as a foreigner
Don’t think you can back me into a corner
Letting it rain hell from up above
These pests I’ll be quick to get rid of
[Fengzhui:]
In the pursuit of money, I’m on the hunt
Only the foolish would try and pull a stunt
So, quit trying to be brave
It’ll only send you to an early grave
[Hikaru:]
Oh, how cute to see you whine and beg
Just like a desperate slut that spreads their legs
But I know whores with better class than you
Even when taking it up the ass too
[Sakura:]
Now we’ve got nothing else to say
No matter what the Kito are here to stay
So get the fuck out of our way
Cause killing you will be child’s play
[Kito-gumi:]
24/7!
A warning for all who want to fight!
24/7!
Destroying you will be our delight!
[Sakura:]
Think you’ll win?
[Kito-gumi:]
Never! Never!
[Sakura:]
Better call your next of kin
[Kito-gumi:]
This is our empire of sin!
Go on and try to rebel
We’ll send you straight to hell!

Scorpion Battle Anthem (The Crossroads Diss)
Featuring Akari "Cinder" Himura of @katsushika-division
Bring The Beat!
[Scorpion Den:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sumire:]
If it’s war you want then it’s war you’re gonna get
[Scorpion Den:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Sumire:]
We’re gonna drag you down to hell
[Scorpion Den:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sumire:]
Run back to your Father, it’ll be your last farewell
You’ve made a terrible mistake
[Scorpion Den:]
Scorpion Den is gonna make you break!
[Sumire:]
Now what’s this that I see?
It’s dumb bitch Juu stepping up to me
Some people just don’t know when to quit
Oh well, it’ll be fun seeing you submit
[Yosuke:]
Chimaki, I’ve seen bacteria more scary than you
You’re nothing compared to what I’ve been through
Just another tiny drop of water in a sea of fools
Why don’t you go fuck yourself with your own tools
[Miyabi:]
Poor little kitty, Kahori’s grasping at straws
Let me show you what I can do with my own claws
Don’t make me laugh, this bitch thinks she’s a cat!
How pathetic, you’re really nothing more than a rat
[Akari:]
Ha! Well ain’t this fucking amusing?!
God’s little mistakes are definitely losing
Manobu will be nothing but ash when I’m though
And don’t think I’ll forget your little brother too
[Zoya:]
You already lost ever since this battle began
And yeah, I’m talking to you, old man
Ippei’s gone thinking that he’s a god
But he’s only a false prophet wearing a facade
[Janine:]
Tora, let me tell you something about love
Since it’s obvious you have a severe lack thereof
Your “love” lied to you, left you to misguide
It long since died
[Trickster:]
Watch who you’re talkin' to
Pint-size little shit!
Think you can stop me?
You're still suckin’ on your brother’s tit!
[Sumire:]
You heard it here first
Be prepared to face our worst
The Crossroads will be condemned
And no God will save them
[Scorpion Den:]
24/7!
Crossroads, mess with us and you’re going to fucking lose!
24/7!
You’re nothing but toys to break and amuse!
[Sumire:]
The will of God?
[Scorpion Den:]
Pitiful! Pitiful!
[Sumire:]
Can’t beat our squad
[Scorpion Den:]
This fight is in our odds!
You can try to beat us down
But our rebellion will always be around!
24/7!
We’re the Scorpions, our sting is deadly and we’re quick to strike!
24/7!
We’ll stick your Father’s head on a fucking pike!
[Sumire:]
We’re way past the point of a warning
The Church’s gonna be in some serious mourning
[Scorpion Den:]
Damn right!
We say ‘screw your rules!’
You can’t beat us
You’re just a dumb pack of mules!
(1, 2, 3)
[Sumire:]
If it’s war you want then it’s war you’re gonna get
[Scorpion Den:]
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
[Sumire:]
We’re gonna drag you down to hell
[Scorpion Den:]
(1, 2, 3)
[Sumire:]
Run back to your Father, it’ll be your last farewell
You’ve made a terrible mistake
[Scorpion Den:]
Scorpion Den is gonna make you break!
[Sumire:]
It's sad, Juu, watching your attempts at "revenge"
At this rate, your parents will never be avenged
How sweet it was, listening to their screams and cries
And I'll make sure you'll meet the same demise
[Yosuke:]
"Dr. Saw" is just a cheap knock off
Call yourself a real doctor? I can only scoff
You're nothing more than a freak with a blood fetish
And I'll be glad to make your life more hellish
[Miyabi:]
Like an insignificant ant I can crush under my heel
Why don't you be a good kitten, Nyan, and kneel
I'll give you a real reason to go mental
Bad girls get punished and I won't be gentle
[Akari:]
Did you come up with that with your pea size brain?
Shut the fuck up, "Am", and stay in your lane
“Die!"
Ain't no comparison, we all know it's true
That I got way more bigger balls than you
[Zoya:]
Hey "Scientist", don't you feel even a little bad?
A man your age living in a delusion is just sad
You preach on and on about reaching divinity
But I bet 20 bucks that you haven't lost your virginity
[Janine:]
Cassiopeia has the gall to talk about beauty
But all she does is come across as snooty
All she thinks is about her Father in her head
I wonder, does she spread her legs for him in bed?
[Trickster:]
Hey! Hey! It's the wannabe thug!
Can't take "I" seriously with his ugly mug
I'll feed him and his brother to the hounds
I wonder how "Kita Stew" will sound?
[Sumire:]
We'll show you how true pain feels
Maybe then you'll find out God isn't real
The Crossroads, listen to me loud and clear
Scorpion Den are the only demons you should fear
[Scorpion Den:]
24/7!
Crossroads, mess with us and you’re going to fucking lose!
24/7!
You’re nothing but toys to break and amuse!
[Sumire:]
The will of God?
[Scorpion Den:]
Pitiful! Pitiful!
[Sumire:]
Can’t beat our squad
[Scorpion Den:]
This fight is in our odds!
You can try to beat us down
But our rebellion will always be around!
24/7!
We’re the Scorpions, our sting is deadly and we’re quick to strike!
24/7!

CHAPPELL ROAN - "HOT TO GO!"
youtube
2-4-6-8, who do we appreciate? You all! This wraps up this month's coverage -- see ya in November!
[7.00]
Alfred Soto: Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is a sparkling collection of moods and passing desires, best when euphoric. The ballads might have been even stronger had she spelled out their choruses. [7]
Dave Moore: Spelling is fun! [3]
Grace Robins-Somerville: It's been too long since we've had a "spell the words out with your arms" song in the zeitgeist, and seeing people do the H-O-T-T-O-G-O dance at weddings has cemented its staying power. It's nice that lesbians have their "YMCA" now. [8]
Katherine St. Asaph: "Hot to Go!" is a crowd chant-along that shouldn't work at all as one. The template is "YMCA," but the difference and the problem is that "YMCA" is instantly parseable when spelled out, while "H-O-T-T / O-G-O" takes a moment's reassembly. The other highlight line in "baby, don't you like this beat? I made it so you'd sleep with me" is endearingly blunt -- more musicians should be that honest -- but nevertheless cannot honestly be chanted by anyone but Dan Nigro or Chappell Roan. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that "Hot to Go!" is hugely effective at getting crowds to chant along. [7]
Aaron Bergstrom: Retroactively furious about the idea that one or more of the Village People potentially did or did not endorse Jimmy Carter in the 1980 Presidential election. [7]
Scott Mildenhall: Who or what is a hottogo? The chant falls short of total clarity by going two steps further than succinct, but therein lies the charm. Bursting at the seams of some slightly thin fabric, Chappell Roan carries this so far and fast that she might struggle to find her way back. [7]
Leah Isobel: There are about five perfect hooks on Chappell's debut album. "Baby don't you like this beat?/ I made it so you'd sleep with me" is one of them, precise and funny and melodically flawless. I think that was the moment that sold me on her whole project: the bluntness balanced by craft, the expertise made human by the raw and embarrassing vulnerability of wanting sex, wanting recognition, wanting anything at all. Also, have y'all heard the fanmade Rhythm Heaven edit for this? Banger! [8]
TA Inskeep: Every generation gets a new cheerleading-cheer anthem -- think Toni Basil's "Mickey" or Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" -- and here's the latest, with a bit of "Y.M.C.A." thrown in for good measure. It's hard to ignore Roan's joy on this chorus; this is also a rare pop single where its meme-ability actually draws me in (cf. "Call Me Maybe"). How can you not smile when you hear this? [7]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: Of all the guises that Chappell Roan inhabited on her debut album, this always felt like the truest — she sounds like Devo if they slayed, still gawking and midwestern and not quite fitting a perfect archetype of pop stardom but still, nevertheless, a star. The weepy ballads (some of them great) fade away in the face of this, the goofy chant-a-longs and dance instructions wearing one's resistance down on the strength of pure charisma and craft. There are hooks upon hooks here — I think I've had just the synth chord on the prechorus stuck in my head before. [9]
Ian Mathers: I took the number of times I've caught myself humming this song since I first heard the record last year and divided it by a very large number and got this score. I am not currently interested in Discourse beyond that. [10]
Nortey Dowuona: You're trying to take out Chappell Roan the way you took out Amy Winehouse and I don't like it. Not one bit. Also, the '80s actually kinda sucked -- let's not go back. (This song is great btw.) [8]
Jel Bugle: I know everyone loves Chappell, and I’ve not really bothered to get too excited. I like the Casio keyboard sounds, and spelling out words in songs is always a good trick (see "D I S C O," and I’m sure Olivia has a spelling words out song?). I can see why Sabrina is winning the chart battle here in the UK. I just feel like this song is okay, warm rather than hot -- a sort of personality over the strength of the song. Plus, I’m getting tired of this song constantly being pushed to me by Spotify -- if it happens again the [6] becomes a [5]. [6]
Taylor Alatorre: For all the talk of Chappell Roan hailing the return of “recession pop,” this strikes my ears as more of a grasping imitation of the real than most of what PC Music was accused of putting out. Maybe that’s unavoidable given the generation gap, as well as the decline of the universal pop star – Chappell covers “Bad Romance” on tour, but she doesn’t exude the belief that she can be a legitimate successor to Lady Gaga. She’s ambivalent about the compromises required for mass appeal, even on songs like this one which are structured, at least internally, toward that end. It’s all the external festooning and DIY-style pageantry which redirect the song’s course toward a cozier ideal of attainable imperfection, a glitzy and glammy take on self-sabotage. Which, in the end, is its own kind of earnestness. “HOT TO GO!” is confident enough in its own gangliness to bill itself as a coming-out party where everyone, even the normies, is invited, despite the singer’s doubts about the long-term viability of this promise. [6]
Tim de Reuse: The appeal of "Pink Pony Club" was immediately evident to me on first listen. But this one's a silly Chappell Roan song: The narrative here is buried under catchy turns of phrase and the hokey pokey-ass pre-chorus, leaving us to wring pathos out of a few scant lines in the verses. So, what's the draw? The simple build-and-release drama of a I-IV-I progression? The energy of a jittery, unkempt synthesizer-driven beat? Is the chant of "H-O-T-T-O-G-O" sugary enough to overcome my pop-pessimist cynicism and light up my long-calcified dopamine receptors for once? Eh, kinda. It's well-constructed, but it just isn't aiming all that high. [6]
Will Adams: Silly fun pop that doesn't require much thought -- just do the little dance and enjoy yourself! [6]

Charisma Battle Anthem [ENG Translation]
Fumiya Ito break went hard, huh.
English Translation for Fumiya's second solo, Charisma Battle Anthem-!
This is the first full-blown translation I've ever done so apologies if I miss anything! Google Doc version with Romaji attached
=== The amount of time and effort I spent on this is insane, this being the first thing to grapple with (Amahiko reference intended) was... interesting, I think I cried a little inside when Terra made a math pun. But it was so so fun. I love my just normal lil guys so much, thank you Mister Fumiya Ito.
That being said, I plan to do lots more translations in the future :]! I'll be hosting them on the dreamwidth for the sake of keeping them all in one place but as always, I'm always open for anyone to ask or request me anything. I will probably do it.
Next post is going to be a writing update for real!

Silco, Sevika and Jinx Headcanons (music ver 🎵)
Since my playlists are running rampant (and they're largely how I get a sense for writing character voices/actions/etc.), I thought it'd be fun to share a few HC tidbits via some tunes :-)
Silco — aka the Bloodshark, the Eye, Mr. Crime Boss himself; the man, the myth, the slippery bastard. Also clocking in with nearly 8+ hours worth of songs for this sack of bones...I am...side-eyeing myself. Anyway.
Foundation — Sunlit Grave, Saint Mesa
This basically kickstarted the playlist earworm, for him. At a high-level, this is the song I think of anytime I write him: it's dark, eerie, regal, persevering. I always get an image of someone sinking beneath the depths at the beginning, and clawing out of a deathly cage/prowling to a bloody pinnacle by the end. The lyrics themselves also capture a flavor of his character, as a dead man speaking to someone (potentially his killer and/or lover) who knew him before; who must choose to let go of their knowledge of who that dead man used to be. He is gone, irreparably changed, and he's not coming back—and he'll drag a kingdom to its knees, by the end. (Maybe it's what landed him in that grave, in the first place.)
Inner Voice — The Wondersmith and His Sons, Astronautalis
This gives a sense of past and present: a glimpse into the hard-cracked persona he'd built in the mines (which I associate with folksongs, especially of an English or Gaelic nature), twisted up into the sly, scheming charisma he harnessed as co-founder of the Lanes. For me, the song paints a potential tale of childhood (the lyrics tell of a family of swindlers, from which the narrator is the cleverest son) and a foreboding hint into the future (too much grease can break down a machine; for all their success, a brutal end is eminent). It also just feels like him—it's growly, arrogant, and jovial; drawling in some moments, and spit-fired in others.
On The Record — Time & Place, Queens of the Stone Age
In terms of what he'd actually listen to (of which I think he'd have a extensive range, to the point of his tastes skewing past eclectic into downright bizarre), this would fit easily between a swath of blaring industrial rock, crooning big band classics, jazz, folk-tunes, experimental funk, r&b, etc. It's got that flavor of 80s post-punk vocals that would be a staple in his sets, with a snappy flare in the instrumentals (something he'd nod his head or tap his pen to)—and, funnily enough, has a slight echo to Snakes (Vi's and Jayce's fightsong), which...oddly fits, given I see him and Vi as actually very similar, at their cores.
Sevika — aka the Lioness, the Teeth, "step on me and I'll thank you for it" Miss King. She's badassery in a gilded package, baby—but there's a tender spot under it all, if you squint.
Foundation — Little Girl Gone, CHINCHILLA
Another song that kickstarted the playlist earworm. This is a baseball bat to the gut with prowess, swagger and Try That Again energy—and the transition of the whisper to the drop just hhh. Gets me every time. This song is the battle anthem from a woman who's earned her armor (fittingly, working under a gangster)—test her patience, and she'll be wearing red on her sleeve; dare to cross her in a fight, and she'll drink you down like liquor. I can visualize a snappy two-punch brawl every time I hear this.
Inner Voice — Milk, BONES UK
Dipping into that tenderness here, with a stark note of ceaseless ambition, we've got this song—a reflection, a demand, a love letter, a hunger. There's so many layers folded into this: the desires of a self-made life to be everything and more their host yearns for it to be, even if, underneath it all, what they truly yearn for is belonging. This feels like a young, angry, cropped-hair and bloody-fisted Sevika fighting down the world—and an older self looking fondly, if a touch melancholically, back on it all.
On The Record — Know Better, Janelle Monáe
Put her on the aux, and she'll have the dancefloor congealing into a neon haze of sweat and glitter. The mix of the sax and the bassline here just thrums with her energy, to me: self-assured, watchful, slow-smirking. It's often the kind of tracks she reaches for, especially for a crowd; she's got a bold streak in her, and it doesn't take much to stir it to full display (come here now, stranger; gimme that sense of danger).
Jinx — aka the Loose Cannon, the Bombshell, everyone's favorite lil' gremlin. I tend to interpret her character in distinct "phases"—i.e., Powder, Jinx, and Jinx post-shimmer. These also factor into what I musically associate with her; each piece of her character feels very distinct.
Foundation — BLOODMONEY, Poppy
This is like...the Jinx song, to me. It's about distrust, sacrifice, self-identity, denial, rage, all wrapped up in a spiteful bow of religious allegories—a flash-cycle of whose opinion she worships, at any given moment (when nobody is watching, what do you believe?). It's also just a sensory meal with the sound design, and could even match up with soundbites of her voice so easily.
Inner Voice — Crimson, Skott
Take a stroll into Powder building Jinx's persona from the ashes. This is a haunting, beautiful song, with an undercurrent of something fight-eager, spiteful, and hopeful brewing beneath the surface. In the wake of tragedy, there's still a thread of strength; someone picking up the pieces while trying to find a path back to their own mind. I almost hear this as an apology and declaration of war, in turns, from Jinx to Vi.
On The Record — BOOM, Cassyette.
You know this little metalhead is listening to any splitzy mechanical tracks she can get her hands on (fuels the inventor muse, y'know?)—and I think she'd love this. I mean, c'mon. It's a song about explosions, told through a narrator saying how slipping into different mental spaces feels like a bomb waiting to blow. I could see her jamming to this on loop in her workshop while tinkering with a new flare gun. (Also, as a close runner up, I associate anything Djerv with her, given they were the artist for Get Jinxed—she'd probably have things like (We Don't) Hang No More always on the gramophone, singing to it word for word.)

Charisma, Charisma Battle Anthem - Fumiya Ito English Lyrics Translation
TL Notes:
I kind of butcher it in the English translation, but what Fumiya calls a “Yukichi Bromide” is just 10,000 yen. He likes to collect a bunch of them like bromides, like a hardcore stan with their ita bags and rooms of the same merch. I think I managed to get the point across. The American version I guess would be “Lincoln Photocards” or something like that lol.
I really had to keep myself from writing “my peppy lil pro idol” because maybe Fumiya would have come off a little Discord admin-y. But I think Fumiya would do anything for some yen at this rate. Anyways, JPY is just the currency (Japanese Yen). Like how he calls the Yukichi note a bromide, he essentially relates JPY to an idol he adores.
そそり勃つ/sosoritatsu: To become erect (like a nipple/penis/etc).
I don’t even know how to explain where Amahiko gets asparagus from 野天門. 野天 (noten) is to be in the open air and 門 (mon) is gate. His ass is a gate…. Also thank you to my friend for pointing out that で (de) is in fact a location marker, and with the shape of asparagus…. You can see asparagus inside Amahiko’s Wild Gate ;)
札束 (satsutaba) is a bundle of cash/stack of money. So he’s collecting those bands!!!
“Do well on your mission and “you will be rewarded”. This most definitely has some religious connotation, given the verse as well as the whole thing of Fumiya and his “godly” message. A missionary going on a mission.
ビターな甘味処 “This place is bittersweet” 甘味処/kanmidokoro is a cafe featuring Japanese sweets. Bitter sweet[shop].
“Shit that makes something out of nothing call that Holy shit” Ohse our Holy Mary <3
Tera, peta, and exa are SI prefixes. Tera is 1012, peta is 1015, and exa is 1018. Lots of beauty to go around.
I can’t keep beating around the bush anymore with Amahiko. I try to fluff up anything he says but if he were to say “I LOVE ROUGH ANAL SEX” in full blown English what am I supposed to do at this point. I give up.
Fun fact! Look up χάρισμα. This is read as charisma…. Which in Greek, means gift of god! A divine boon.
Raps are not my strong suit. Maybe one day I’ll be able to make this make sense. In the meantime, I tried. Not my best work. I really appreciate the writers creativity though <3 even though it melts my mind a lot of the times.
“1, 2, 3” Chasin’, chasin’ after that paper like collectible photo cards “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7” Driven High, you’ll get your fair share “1, 2, 3” JPY, my peppy pro idol A handbook? Nah, how ‘bout a tour guide? “Charisma Style Rap Battle Break!”
Didn’t I already explain it to ya? Well to sum it up At the beginning of the week Let's call it Charisma Monday Interpol scatters Asia’s allies Marching alongside them, inciting right and wrong
Even birds who tweet their blessings have morals Attaining that QOL comes with responsibility Adulterated fraternizing, Not love for you Try to follow a different justice without diminishing it
Take advantage of that gap in my armor I’m a speedy, pro-slave Just a stray dog if you don’t call my name So tip my scale with endless burdens
Rebel then counter, counter, counter And counter again Lemme paint a picture of me for ya I’m like a coyote in the Sonoran desert Bloodthirsty and comin’ for ya throat
Beat down the greed that’s outta your league I’ve got a great view from down here like the shitty bug I am There’s 7 of us, but I’m the only dwarf The color of snow white Neurosis
No need for even a sliver of eccentricity Am I a necessity? “Seeking irregularities” Even from a long, long, long, long, long time ago, I’m a legacy Yes, I’m super beautiful ♪
The inevitable is calm So stiffen up This world’s fate is sexy! It’s sexy to read “Amahiko’s Wild Gate” With “ASSparagus!”
Magnificent 7th wonder I reach out and grab some bands Now it’s time to shine This Charisma Alchemy We’ve already got it in the bag
24/7 We set out, under the same roof With our everyday chaotic synergy 24/7 Eating out of the same pot Check out our flashy energy
Don’t give a shit about Pitiful jealousy Don’t give a shit about Living shamefully
Just shout out whenever And you can tell by the sound of footsteps
24/7 We set out, under the same roof With our everyday chaotic synergy 24/7 Eating out of the same pot Check out our flashy energy
We ain’t friends so stay out of our way ‘S no good? This is the path between Good and Evil
However! We’ve got rules here too If someone’s in trouble We’re all going down together
I wonder, are there spawns of demons and gods? And when you sift through them, how many people will be left? Do well on your mission and “you will be rewarded” This place is bittersweet
A pure white monologue No need for a secretary, just this diary You’re a caller of injustice So let’s get to the bottom of this, are you good or evil
Another successful case of tendonitis If you can’t get it, then we aren’t on the same page Those who are scrupulous Are squares My load tolerance is more than double-digits
Rage Against everything in this world Always angry, forgetting how to show mercy “Right?” Garbage that don’t burn That’s bullshit I’ll light it up anyways
Scum who is bewildered by those who are gentle A dark craft that drains the joys and sorrows of peace Shit that makes something out of nothing call that Holy shit A digital tattoo engraver
A neverending diffusion in every direction My beauty multiplies: tera, peta, and exa Mirror, oh mirror Even if you can’t understand the words The answer is revealed right in front of you
Extremely☆Horny A midsummer monster Quivering☆swaying A gift from God Locked in a grapple Inside of you Is a treasure Nearly bare!
If you back out now, it’ll vanish Your offerings of one hundred million Are not nearly enough But they can offset it “Rainy days” So from the back With no motion “Strike” While the iron’s still hot
24/7 We set out, under the same roof With our everyday chaotic synergy 24/7 Eating out of the same pot Check out our flashy energy
Don’t give a shit about Pitiful jealousy Don’t give a shit about Living shamefully

She, Praise her ..
The name of a broken
angel, Marryanne Judas.
They say curiosity killed the cat, O'darling, but perhaps it was simply boredom. I, on the other hand, thrive on intrigue, Marryanne Judas, a name that shimmers with enigmatic charm.
An Aquarius through and through, I crave the thrill of the chase, the untangling of mysteries. Whether it's strategizing in the vibrant worlds of Roblox or facing the heart-pounding terror of Dead by Daylight, games are my playground. But the fun doesn't stop there.
I'm equally enthralled by watching skilled gamers conquer nightmarish landscapes in survival horror adventures. From Youtubers gaming to captivating Vtubers, their battles ignite a fire within me.
They say the game is afoot, and with a name like Marryanne Judas, the stakes are always high.
.. Ready to play?
The neon lights of the city bled through the blinds, casting long shadows across the worn leather chair I occupied. My playlist cycled through a carefully curated mix – the smooth, seductive tones of Daniel Di Angelo, the dark, atmospheric beats of Chase Atlantic, and the soulful vulnerability of Chris Grey.
They were the soundtrack to my nights, a symphony of secrets and unspoken desires.
But vulnerability wasn't a luxury I often afforded myself. When the world needed a shield, I donned it with grace, seeking solace only in the whispers of Ellise & Alina's soothing melodies and the raw honesty of Nessa Barrett's voice.
Deep down, a different rhythm pulsed. Heart thumped to the beat of girl power anthems. I craved the fierceness of IVE, the audacity of BABYMON, the cutting-edge sounds of AESPA, and the undeniable charisma of BLACKPINK.
But there is BTS, the exception that confirmed the rule, proved even the most guarded heart could find a melody that resonated.
They were more than just music; they were a battle cry, a declaration of power in a world that often tried to dim the light of queens. A slow smile curved my lips, the glint in my eyes mirroring the city lights outside.
Maybe tonight wouldn't be about hiding in the shadows.
Maybe tonight, the femme fatale with a playlist for every mood would step into the spotlight.
After all.. even sirens needed their anthem.
Disclaimer!
This account exists in the shadows, a carefully crafted persona for a world that thrives on anonymity. Here, you'll find the reflections of my true self woven into random tweets, but the name you see is a mask, not a mirror.
Respect is the language of the truly powerful. Let's create a space where we can connect and engage without the constraints of reality, but always with the understanding that behind every username lies a human being.
Welcome to the world I've built, but remember, the truest stories are often left unwritten.
Ugly angels spoke to me.
The blame, i heard them say, was mine.

Review: Love Ghost and Blnko’s new pop-punk collaboration ‘Veneno’ wraps up the woes of a toxic love in atmospheric guitar and catchy vocals
Love Ghost are a musical force to be reckoned with, as these self-proclaimed misfits find themselves sharing new releases more often than not, already offering 2023 a handful of singles, a full-length album and an EP. Conjoining a style equally informed by Seattle tradition and Souncloud-era fearlessness, Love Ghost find themselves coining their music to be something of emo trap-rock, a niche that no artist has truly been able to capture in the same way. Now collaborating with Mexican artist Blnko’s, their newest single ‘Veneno’ - meaning poison - sees the two acts creating a patchwork of their stylings into something new and unique.
Storming in at full atmospheric force, ‘Veneno’ sees soaring, quickly strummed electric guitar placed front and centre of everything as it leads us into the release, delivering a pop-punk-esque core for the track to shine as well as Latin rock elements that push its individual flair to the max. Steady, hard-hitting drums commence for the verse, with the instrumentals feeling clean but striking all the same as Love Ghost’s vocalist delivers a spoken-sung performance atop it, championing his staple whine-y emo sound that’s a distinctly catchy staple part of the group. The chorus only ramps things up further, with the drums hitting harder and the guitar more vigorous as well as Blnko’s screamed backing vocals making this an angsty moment you won’t be forgetting or failing to head-bang along to anytime soon. Taking hold of the second verse, Blnko’s clean Spanish vocals carry both a charisma and confidence that’s perfect for the song’s teetering bridge between gritty and smooth. At just two and a half minutes in length, this short but sweet offering is one you’ll need on repeat a handful if not more times to get the full flavour of as Love Ghost and Blnko get in your head and plant one hell of an earworm to be remembered.
As the lyrics deliver a conflicted narrative of a relationship that’s evidently a two-way street of toxicity, ‘Veneno’ finds itself fighting between knowing it’s best to let go, but instead clinging on like its life depends on it. With a contrasting internal battle evident in every line, Love Ghost spew a monologue of thoughts, admitting ‘I’m done putting up with you, I can’t get enough of you’ but never capable of making up their minds. As lines like ‘the venom you give is like a dream’ sugarcoat this progressive downwards spiral, ‘Veneno’ doesn’t hesitate in offering quite the truthful depiction of how it feels to be consumed within a toxic partnership, finding a rush in every blow and feeling incapable of walking away. An air of codependency also surrounds ‘Veneno’s narrative, clinging onto lyrics like ‘I can’t be without you’ that make it very clear they’re not just infatuated but also feel so deeply dependant on this person they don’t believe they’re capable of walking away even when they’re causing so much pain. Every hard-hitting word of ‘Veneno’ captures a side of a toxic relationship that many don’t speak so openly of, and as always we can’t help but adore Love Ghost’s continued willingness to set the stage for others to relate and feel less alone within their darker narrative topics. With Blnko’s second verse also entirely in Spanish, ‘Veneno’ doesn’t limit itself from offering an experience a little different from everything else out there, surely becoming an anthem you’ll be singing for a long time after first pressing play.
With a video incorporating the trio performing in a rundown location amidst depictions of a toxic relationship constantly teetering between thrilling highs and broken lows, ‘Veneno’ also sells its poignant narrative in every visual.
youtube
Check out ‘Veneno’ for yourself here to enjoy the addictive soundscape and hard-hitting lyrical matter that Love Ghost and Blnko have to offer!
