So I know I already made playlists for each individual member of the team but I wanted to make a playlist for the whole division and so one thing led to another and now I made an entire playlist for Silent Tragedy!

20 songs each! It’s a combination of which songs embody them and what will embody them. Some might be inaccurate and are purely based on vibes but overall I hope it gives you more insight on Silent Tragedy as a whole.

“Oh fuck, I knew I was forgetting something.”

Paling at the gifts, he felt like he was in deep shit for letting such an important holiday slip his mind. To be fair, Yano has learned that Sakura Kito was a woman of action, not words. It can’t be helped that the poor struggling artist was bad at interpreting her wants and needs when she would show him what she wants, right?

No, that’s an awful excuse. If they were an official couple, Yano wouldn’t forgive himself for forgetting Valentine’s day of all holidays. Guilt was eating Yano up inside, seeing the pretty gifts she had bothered to send to his apartment. It was only fair that he should try and repay her for the gesture. Pulling his phone out, he tapped on the screen, scrolling to her contact and gulping.

“Whatever happens, happens…”

Pressing the call button, he shuts his eyes tight as he holds the phone up to his ear, waiting to hear a reply. Soon as the ringing stops and a blunt, ‘Hello’ registers, he sucks it up and mutters out. “Hey, are you free tomorrow? I want to see you…”

Lowkey, I need Yano to fully commit to his simp tendencies with Sakura soon. At least, before they start popping out children (⊙_⊙)

Kanon Hojo

“Ms. Hojo is a depressing case… One filled with misfortune, undoubtedly. Thankfully she is an issue for the Party of Words and not something I need to be tangled with. Despite this indifference, I hope she can find peace through a helping hand or even death. Personally, I think the latter would do better. And I’m sure Mr. Tetsumasu would despise my words. How surprising to learn that they were once acquainted? It shouldn’t be, seeing they both worked under Rei Amayado… Perhaps I should take a swing at picking her brain a little. We have a shared interest in Amayado, so there’s a chance she can entertain me with a discussion on that man. It would help me in my work, that’s for sure.”

“Ms. Aichi used to be the center of gossip among the wealthy for several years. Truthfully I assumed she had renounced her lavish party life. It seems I was wrong since her status as a socialite is still active based on her profile. I cannot say anything personally about this woman, but you would have to be a buffoon if you thought she was truly innocent. Only a moron would think that.”

“Thankfully I am not affiliated with Ms. Kito. Again, brutes like her are not in my field of focus.”

“It’s a charming name for sure. I can tell my young master had a field day with this team. I’m sure in their leader’s twisted mind, they’re on the side of good. It’s unfortunate that their ideas, the government, and most likely the audience are all going to be against them. Despite all these factors working against them, I do wholeheartedly wish them luck in their endeavors. Well… Maybe not for Ms. Aichi. Such acts of greed are unbecoming of a lady like her.”

Yuno’s Thoughts On Shizuoka Division

Kanon Hojo

“Hojo? The former Chuohku scientist…? Her name is mostly unfamiliar to me. So Chuohku turned her into a guaranteed monster? If only they could just leave us alone… Now she conducts ‘secret’ experiments? That can only lead to someone’s demise…they’ll have my sympathies. Her story seems to be a slight crossover between both horror and a detective case study. Hmm, a detective and scientist is manipulated and forced to uncover cases for her own good? That sounds like a bestseller… All in all, her trial awaits. Let’s see if this scientist can prove some real knowledge.”

Reika Aichi

“Aichi, Shizuoka’s socialite. Murdered her 5 husbands for money? Her ‘Black Widow’ alias suits her well. To put it simply…She is a worse version of Choten. Both rich, possess immense ‘superiority’ and don’t know when to stop when it comes to riches. On the other hand, Choten is atleast tolerable. ‘Explaining in her rap that wealth has got her far?’ Please, you outright murdered 5 people and sacked their inheritance. 1st degree murder and embezzlement on multiple counts, both intolerable crimes with a deadly price. I imagine the black widow has some tricks up her sleeves, along with Hojo and Kito. Though, she cannot slip easily through the bars of a jail cell…”

Sakura Kito

“Kito, the boss of the Kito-gumi yakuza family. I hear my ‘gift’ passed inspection, quite intriguing for the most part. Though, it appears it was instead revamped by one of her subordinates, not that I am surprised. She possesses the confidence and loyalty to be a yakuza leader, similarly to Eko in a way. Hm, ‘Abused by her family as she shot all of them square in the head?’ Likely story, these divisions inside the DRB are obviously taking this matter seriously. Likewise, I must shift gears as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a bounty on her head…one that I will return soon enough…”

Silent Tradegy

“Needless to say, they’ve had it rough. Manipulated by Chuohku, murdered her 5 husbands for money and being abused and neglected by her family. However, such nuisances cannot roam the streets without reason…then again, there are tons of ruthless and selfish criminals who think they have the right to walk freely. My father would understand, he was only framed for false accusations and he still is stuck inside the stony lonesome…Be it even Shizuoka Division, they aren’t going unpunished. Until OverDrive reaches the apex, I refuse to let such barbaric people roam these streets freely without a proper trial.”

The day was finally coming to an end in Okinawa. It was also a special day as it was Rashaad Young, Japan’s favorite bartender’s birthday. The man of the hour was getting ready for the evening rush of customers even on his birthday duty called. Then all of a sudden a sharply dressed man with a cane in his hand entered Eagle’s Nest. Rashaad quickly recognized the man as Shinji Aoki, second in command to the Kito-gumi. 

“Rashaad-san,” Shinji bowed, using his cane to help him. “Sorry to bother you before your rush but Sakura and her friends have asked me to deliver you gifts they had all gotten you.” 

Using his cane Shinji tapped the floor, signaling for several men to enter the bar bringing inside several gifts including one in a wooden crate. 

“Now if you excuse us Rashaad. We’ll take our leave now. Have a nice rest of your birthday.” Shinji bowed once again, the men behind him following suit before they all left Eagle’s Nest leaving Rashaad alone. Walking over to the gifts Rashaad picked up the lightest one first and opened it. 

Inside the first box was a record of the song "Axman's Jazz (Don't Scare Me Papa)" a 1919 song by Joseph John Davilla. Rashaad blinked. Wasn't that song inspired by a serial killer? Shaking his head Rashaad picked up the second gift and opened it.

Inside the second gift was a gorgeous glass decanter and matching drinking glasses. Red, orange, green, and blue colored the set making it look beautiful when the sunlight hit them. Placing them to the side Rashaad turned to the final gift. 

Rashaad wondered what someone could've gotten him for it to be in a wooden crate of all things. Knowing he would get any answers unless he opened it Rashaad began to open the crate. Thankfully it didn't take much strength to open it. 

Inside the crate was a wooden pool table. It was gorgeous with the sides of the table expertly carved and a dark emerald cloth that felt soft to the touch. Laying on top of the table were the billiards balls in their rack and matching wooden pool cues. Seeing a note on the pool table as well Rashaad picked it up and began to read. 

“Raashaad,

Happy Birthday. As thanks for letting us into Eagle’s Nest, we've all gotten you a gift. The record is from Kanon, the pool table is from Reika, and the decanter set is from Sakura. Once again Happy Birthday.

In Shizuoka Divison…

“Wait. You actually got Rashaad something too Kanon?” 

“Of course. I’m quite fond of the drinks that he makes. This is just my thanks.”

“Please tell me you got him something normal Kanon. I beg of you.”

“A record.”

“Oh thank god.”

“Okay, that's actually pretty tame.” 

“Why do the two of you think I can't gift someone something nice?”

“Your idea of a nice gift often comes straight out of a horror movie Kanon.”

“That's putting it lightly.”

“My gifts are wonderful.”

“Sentient plant monster.”

“Parasitic flesh-eating bacteria.”

Truthfully, Rashaad wasn't a bit surprised to see Shinji-san. Not that he didn't appreciate the older gentleman's patronage. Believe it or not, Rashaad and Shinji actually had a good relationship with each other. It's just that knowing who Shinji-san worked for, the bar owner assumed that he'd be too busy to stop by, and would have had someone else deliver gifts for him. Gifting him a rare bottle of whiskey before he departed, Rashaad bade the older gentleman an 'until next time' before turning to his gifts.

To say he was surprised at them would be an understatement. Knowing each of the three women of Shizuoka personally, Rashaad did his best to keep them all at arm's length. He was grateful for their patronage, but hearing some of the things about them, he tried to avoid being overly friendly with them. Though they weren't as bad as some of the other customers over the years, he tried to make sure they were as amicable as possible to prevent any... trouble from arising.

Smiling at the glasses the rich socialite, Reika, gave him, Rashaad smiled, placing them in his cupboard, promising to use them only on special occasions. Turning his attention to the pool table, he looked at it, pleased with the gift. He knew Master Ace was an avid pool player, and a couple of other patrons had mentioned before about wanting to play some pool.

"Maybe I'll ask Master Ace for a game when he is free."

Looking at the last gift, the record Kanon gave him, Rashaad, though a bit skeptical, decided to give it a play, inserting the disc into his jukebox. Listening to the first few seconds, a smile plastered onto the bar owner's face. A spooky undertone could be heard as the music blasted out of the machine.

"Maybe I should use this for Halloween night in a few months..."

The sun had gone down, and darkness had settled over the division of Toyama, leaving the city lights to glow in the night sky. Yano Ietsuna was sitting in one of the many apartments in the city, chilling around when the doorbell rang.

Yano raised his head in confusion but stood up and hurried over to the door and peered inside the peephole to see who was on the other side, his eyes widened and he quickly opened the door to reveal Shizuoka’s Sakura Kito herself, dressed in something far more casual than her normal suit her crimson hair even out of its trademark ponytail. Standing behind her were a couple of her men holding gifts in their arms. The Yakuza Boss blinked at how fast Yano had opened the door especially since she just finished knocking a second ago but she cleared her throat and addressed the birthday man.

“Happy Birthday Yano.”

“Sakura?”

“Mind if I come in?” Sakura asked her voice surprisingly soft as if not wanting to frighten Yano.

“Uhhh…sure?” Yano stuttered moving aside to let Sakura enter his apartment although his eyes were still firmly set on the men behind her something the red-haired woman quickly noticed. 

“Leave the gifts in the living room,” Sakura commanded waving her hand and without missing a beat they dropped the gifts in said room. “Now leave and remember what I said.” 

Yano watched as the yakuza subordinates bowed to their boss and to his shock turned to give him a short bow before exiting the apartment softly closing the door behind them. Leaving only the two of them alone. Taking a seat on the sofa Sakura motioned for Yano to sit next to her which he did without hesitation. Picking up the smallest of the gifts Sakura gently handed it over to the glass blower. 

“Sorry for coming on short notice…but it’s your birthday and I just wanted to gift you something.” Sakura smiled as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and watched as Yano opened the gift.

The first gift revealed to be…

…A glass lamp with a golden galaxy trapped inside. 

The second gift was a…

…a painting of Van Gogh’s starry night but with what appears to be an octopus hanging off the side of the frame.

The final and certainly biggest gift by far given that it came in a crate of all things was a…

…A chandelier? In the shape of an octopus? 

“I was wracking my head for a gift for you when I saw that thing hanging in a store in Shizuoka. I figured you might appreciate the artistry behind it. Plus I figured it would be funny to see you be so confused by it.” Sakura explained the amusement clear to hear in her voice. “It’ll look nice somewhere probably not in your apartment but eh you’ll figure that out later.” 

Then before Yano could say anything in return Sakura grabbed him by the face forcing him to look her in the eye. Wide blue met mischievous silver as the yakuza boss pulled the glassblower in for a deep kiss before pulling back. 

“Now Yano you can’t really believe that’s all I got you right? I have one more gift for you. One to last all night if you want.” Sakura hummed her voice laced with sultry amusement. “I’m sure you could figure out what it is.”

“Come on in…” Yano stuttered as he let the yakuza boss into his apartment with the suspicious men trailing in behind her. It wasn’t often Sakura had her subordinates enter his space and thankfully, Sakura noticed his weariness and dismissed them. At least, not without catching his attention with the words ‘remember what I said’ which set him on edge once more. His voice wouldn’t cooperate with him however, when he saw the subordinates bow at both of them and exit the small apartment quickly.

Staring at the door closing behind them, Yano finally went to follow Sakura and sat beside her to look over the array of gifts she had brought with her. It was a lot this time around, a total of three boxes sitting in his living room.

Sakura’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts and into a new one as he found himself face to face with a rare smile from the yakuza boss. In his thoughts, Yano considered her warm behavior… Cute. Just for a second before he mentally started to scream and strangle the thought back into the deepest corners of his brain.

Putting aside his lovesick thoughts, Yano was surprised that Sakura had actually put thought into his gifts. He actually loved the glass lamp and found the octopus imagery somewhat sentimental.

Of course, Yano didn’t have a chance to articulate his thoughts about his gifts before said woman had grasped his face and pulled him towards her own. Bewildered, the artist is then thrown into a flabbergasted state as Sakura then kisses Yano. Deeper even, pulling a small whimper from the man before Sakura moves away and hums out her offer.

“Now Yano you can’t really believe that’s all I got you right? I have one more gift for you. One to last all night if you want. I’m sure you could figure out what it is.”

“Is that what you meant?” Yano mumbles, still somewhat in a daze.

“What? What do you mean?”

“W-When you told your men to ‘remember’ uhm…” Worried he already fucked up, he starts to ramble. “That was to make sure they wouldn’t bother you, right? I was just curious. I don’t wanna pry cuz I know you’ve been busy and I’ve been busy too, so it’s been a little bit and I’m just a little lightheaded from all the blood rushing to my-”

Rolling her eyes, Sakura pulls the increasingly flustered Yano back into another kiss causing said man to melt into her embrace again. Pulling from him, she can’t help but chuckle at his smitten expression.

“Just shut up, idiot.”

Yano happily nods, eager to hold his tongue. Last thing he wants is to ruin his night. No bickering, no rambling, no… Love confessions. Just a moment to have some fun with the yakuza boss he has a weird, almost romantic relationship with. There's no way there's anything more to this situation, they just got close because they have the same friends and kinks! Not that they're interconnected!

Yano's thoughts were starting to spin and without thinking about anything other than wanting his intrusive thoughts to just stop, he blurts out, “Actually, you think you can kill me with your thighs?”

“A… An evil scientist? For real?! I-I mean, ahem! Fear not dear audience! There was a reason I was called to compete in the D.R.B., I knew it! What sort of evil is this Kanon though? An insane scientist, like Doctor Kemp or maybe Doctor Man? Now that think about it, there are a lot of crazy scientists in shows… Wonder why that is? T-There’s no point getting distracted now! I can’t wait to go against a mad doctor! Mz. Hyde, we will take you down, no matter the cost! Justice will prevail!”

Reika Aichi

“It’s the wicked woman! My brothers told me she’s an evil enchantress who tries to marry the rich to kill them! She tried to seduce my dad even! Thankfully my brothers scared her off. Well, that’s what they all said, but Kenshin told me that learning about how many sons dad has put her off. But that doesn’t matter! She better not get any ideas and try to target my family! I, the great Paladin will protect my dad and brothers from the terrible evil. Prepare yourself, witch! I will defeat you, no matter the cost!”

“Yakuza boss? Normally I’d like to try and be more neutral before making quick judgments on mobsters. Plus, it doesn’t help Sakura that her two teammates are on the side of darkness… It’s harsh, but I must be swift in my ruling and decree Sakura as a villain too! No good person would associate themselves with two beings of evil. So, unfortunately, we are enemies Sakura Kito! You must go down with your mad doctor and witchy accomplice!”

Mina's Thoughts on Shizuoka Division

"...I get the same scent from this woman that I get from the woman scientist from Shinagawa. The only difference is... this woman reeks less of malice and more of insanity. I know that she is only the second one we've met, but I can't help but wonder if all Chuohku scientists are like her. ...Well, I say Chuohku, but it seems like she is no longer affiliated with them. Still, that doesn't exactly paint her in a good light. What's more, for some reason, Yorii seems to have an intense disliking for her? I wonder why..."

"Peh, it doesn't matter one bit if this insane bitch is no longer affiliated with Chuohku. The fact that she has worked with them proves that she is guilty by association. And if I find out that she has done anything to Yorii, she will pay for it."

"I've heard of this woman, or at least, I've seen her on the news. She's apparently been married five times. And each time, all of her husbands have mysteriously wound up died within a year's time. ...It's quite obvious that she has killed each of them. Even if I didn't spell the blood of her victims on her, I can easily see inside that she isn't plagued with guilt for their deaths. On the contrary, she is quite happy that each of them are dead. I imagine that her joy comes from the amount of money that accumulates with each death. ...Oh well, it's got little to do with me. My only hope is that she doesn't set her sights on Yorii. ...For both of their sakes..."

"The new head of the Kito-gumi, from what I've heard. Honestly, I've had to deal with a few henchmen from that family. Back when the old leader was in charge, the Kito-gumi kept to their own. But ever since this new leader has taken control, they've started expanding their influence."
