"And when it was finally my turn to stand in front of the congregation, I had tripped on the first step up to the platform, the lady that owned the floral shop had looked at me with disdain as I nervously tugged and pulled at my Sunday dress.
And the man who owned the ice cream parlor and served me free sundaes every half an hour had licked his lips, as my tongue twisted around the words of the sermon that I had swore I knew by heart, but instead had came with a slur and a communal mutter of "Bless her heart"..." 🐑🕯

I hope all my followers have a blessed Full Moon tonight :) It's a very important night to go to Church, especially if you need guidance related to organization, agriculture, or chastity. If you live in Verula, you can come hear High Priest Virgo's sermon in person. If not, you should be able to pick up a printed copy of it for free from your local priests by the Quarter Moon next week.
Also, there will be a Lunar Occultation of Saturn tonight, so be mindful that your financial circumstances are likely to be especially unpredictable in the near future. That's also a very good reason to go to Church tonight, even if you haven't been very recently. Your local priests will be very happy to have you there :)

💗accent ask! since i got the exact same ask and i'm curious
oooo accents!! is it bad to say that i love a british accent given that i have one??? if im thinking specific types of british,,, west country, suffolk and yorkshire are my faves. also love love irish, it's my favourite to do impressions of it's very fun to imitate teehee
i do think that's a bit of a basic answer, very trivial, very subjective of course.... i don't know, maybe i prefer being able to glimpse parts of an individual through the way they speak. idioms, catchphrases, small differences in the way they pronounce words which allow a person to become themselves through their language... it's like the way that texting styles become so personalised. all giving me more reasons to love the person

Miles Norfolk's one lasting contribution to the plans for the death of the sovereign was a name. 'There was a debate over how to call it,' says Eddie Norfolk. 'My father happened to see a picture of London Bridge hanging on the wall. So he said: "Let's call it London Bride."'
Following the adoption of 'London Bridge', the funeral plans for all senior members of the family were given a 'bridge' designation - 'Forth Bridge' for Prince Philip, 'Tay Bridge' for Queen Mother and so on. The former Comptroller, Sir Malcolm Ross, also proposed that plans for the funeral of ex-prime minister Margaret Tatcher should be codenamed 'Iron Bridge'. It was vetoed by a very senior police officer who told him: 'Only royals get bridges.'
‘Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story’ by Robert Hardman (2024).

You ever read a fic that changes you so intensely as a person that you can't stop thinking about it so you sit in an empty chapel with a coffin behind a curtain for a service later in the day talking to a coffin about a fic that changed your entire life

was informed at parent-teacher conferences today that my four year old child, when subjected to the interminable fake-church weekly all school meeting recently, threw herself to the ground and, at a yell, implored her teacher to "poison me, [teacher], poison me!"
needless to say, could not be prouder
